I was visiting DMV to take care of personal business, but since I've been collecting empty containers since 2020, I decided to bring them in for new lipsticks. This is where I can get caught in a rabbit hole and had a great experience. I went in and I forgot who helped me, but she was SO AWESOME! I told her what I have and what I want and she helped me find two colors. The second one was something I didn't even consider, but now I wear it regularly. Service was so great that I decided to stock up on concealer, powder and setting spray - I spent more than I planned but it was basics I needed. What I always like is learning new techniques like applying concealer to make me look younger. I also set up an account so they know on my next visit I recycled a few containers and they can track when I'm eligible for my free lipstick, etc. I have been a MAC fan since the 90s. I have gone a stray with other brands because they serve their purpose, but I will always be a MAC girl. read more

Left with everything I needed and more :) As soon as we entered, Miguel quickly tended to us and was very helpful! He was able to shade match my mom and put together a new makeup routine for her. I came here with Camery V. on Friday, April 6, to attend Ashley's technique class. We thought we were running a few minutes behind, but was relieved to find out the class only consisted of us two and all of Ashley's techniques catered to our demands! I was lucky to be her model for the evening. She really took her time and welcomed any/all questions. I love how she knew exactly where to tell me to hold the mirror so that I could see what she was doing. Ashley recommended products for me to use based on my skin type and taught me how to do a dark, smokey evening look. I love that she told me everything she put on my face, she also used herself! The class was 1.5hrs long, but it really wasn't enough to learn from this girl! I wish she was closer so I could go get tips from her often. I needed to drop by yesterday to pick up a new tube of the False Lashes mascara - I got a tube as a Christmas gift and have unfortunately developed a need to use that mascara and only that mascara until I drop dead. Every tube I drop $20 on will leave a bitter taste in my mouth as it leaves my lashes looking FABOOSH. Walked in last night and wasn't really sure who to approach on the very tiny sales floor. Every woman working (of which there were few) was busy dolling up someone, leaving one poor woman frantically rushing around to help people. While the women were friendly, the lack of help on the floor caused a lot of mixups and stress for them, and I ended up getting dirty looks from some broad who was apparently supposed to get rung up before me but ended up going after me because of the confusion. Eh, whatever, I was there waiting to be helped before her, anyway - GET OVER IT. Now if only I could get over how much I paid, for so little... read more

Did I just come here on an off day? The experience started off pretty well. I walked in and was greeted by a male artist who seemed super friendly and sincere, but he was helping another customer at the time so I went around to browse. I was looking for the All About Orange collection that had just launched and was sold out online, so I was hoping against hope that they would still have the Honey Jasmine blush I wanted in stock. It seemed that every other associate was busy with someone, except for this female employee picking out eyelashes and this male employee behind the cash register. I went up to the male employee and asked him if they had the collection, and he mumbled something about "we should" and came out from behind the register to show me the display. The display was missing two of the three blushes and I asked him if they were sold out, and he said "no" and just stood there.. I mean, if they weren't sold out, shouldn't he have taken the other two out to show me? Or refill the display? I then specifically asked him if they still had the Honey Jasmine blush in the collection and he said, "we should" (again) before going to rummage around in a drawer. He then held onto the blush without giving it to me and asked, "Anything else?" I said no, and he just turned around to go to the cash register and ring me up WITHOUT asking me if I wanted it or even letting me see the blush, let alone try it on to see if it fit my skin tone. While he was ringing me up, he was talking to the female employee (who was still picking out eyelashes and kept asking "Do you think this one is going to show up on me? What about this one?") and both of them were just chattering away without even acknowledging me. He only stopped for a couple seconds to ask to see my ID for my credit card, and before I could draw breath to ask a question, they were back to their own conversation and I couldn't even get a word in. After he was done with the transaction, he just handed me the blush in the box with the receipt on top. No bag, in fact didn't even ASK if I wanted a bag.. what the?! Yes I was holding two other shopping bags, but that doesn't mean I want to throw a fragile compact in with something that could otherwise crush it, and the least he could have done was ASK if I wanted a bag. I know it's not that big of a deal, but this was just the icing on top of the cake. And then the cherry on top is that I came home, tried on the blush, and it was way powdery and looked horrible with my skin tone. Fantastic. Two stars for the friendly greeting and for at least having the blush I wanted in stock. I didn't get the male employee's name (I mean, we barely even talked), but he was pretty tall, thickset, and had really long pinky fingernails. I think he also had his hair up in a kind of bun? But I'm not positive about that last detail. After reading the other great reviews, I really have to come back here and see if I just had a day of really bad luck. I guess I have to return the blush anyway, so hopefully my next experience will be better. read more

I ran in today to grab two empty palettes and walked out with 3 more things I absolutely needed but didn't know I needed, sporting a healthy looking "gym look," (yeah!) and a card from my new MAC BFF, Jamie. HEART YOU JAMIE!!! Jamie is amazing... that's all I have to say. Her knowledge, opinion, technique, personality, smile.... she's my fave and no, you can't have her! OK maybe. All of the girls that were working today were bubbly, friendly, and super excited about their new store - just like me! (And they all looked great!) I needed my makeup done for my Christmas party, I had originally thought I would do my own makeup then decided to see if I could be squeezed in. Hailey (she's the manager) was super sweet and offered to squeeze me in. I did end up waiting for over an hour, but no other MAC was able to even do that for me since they were all completely booked up. Not only did Hailey squeeze me in, but she ended up doing the make up for me. She made me look beautiful and I got compliments all night long! Thanks Hailey! I will def be back. read more

I am a long time fan of MAC. It's just what my older siblings used and a brand that I trust. I typically enjoy going to MAC stores versus a SEPHORA. I just enjoy the customer service and that they always help me color match well. I recently stopped by to recycle my make up. I was so excited and patiently waited in line to ask about the recycling process and to get color matched. I hate to describe folks by ethnicities, but I'm not sure of how else to since I wasn't able to catch this gals name. She was middle eastern, high lighted hair and with a terrible attitude. When I had asked for her assistance, she told me to wait by the lipsticks and she'd be right there. She never came over, and seemed overwhelmed due to it being a Saturday visit. I asked her co-worker (asian/islander lady) to assist me who'd just finish taking doing someone's make up. She was really helpful, and the other lady came back and was kind of gave the wtf attitude since I asked someone else to assist me. The helpful lady who did help me stepped away really fast, and I picked up one lipstick that was NOT free, mostly so I could find something similar in the free section. The unhelpful lady quickly scolded me, pointing at what's free/not. She went back to the register to ring someone else. Another woman who was getting color matched made a comment about her attitude. It was so off putting! However, her co-worker saved the day for me. A few stars because they were in stock of what I needed and the lady helping me salvaged what would deter me from ever coming back. read more

One star for their return policy. Paper receipts are a thing of the past-except at M.A.C. One month since purchase plus the paper receipt or no refund or exchange. Sephora, btw, will let you return without a receipt or time limit. A M.A.C. employee gave me an 800 number after refusing to exchange my products. I learned from calling that number that you will be given a ONE TIME exchange (the bitchy 800 number voice-person gave me a figurative smack on the hand with a ruler when she said that) for products under the following conditions: 1. You mail your unwanted product back (no, you can't bring it to the store). 2. You call them back with all the info (codes, colors) on the new products you would like in exchange. 3. You give all your personal info, e.g., phone number, email, blood type, etc. 4. You allow yourself to be reprimanded, "Are you aware of our return policy? Let me repeat it for you...". You can go through all that, or you can walk in Sephora with nothing but the unwanted item. read more

Oh hell yes. Came here with 4 of my girlfriends last week and all of the artists were so sweet and helpful! They helped us find the perfect shades of makeup for every feature we needed and even taught us a few makeup tips. I am super happy there's a MAC store in the vicinity. But the husband isn't. He had a sweat attack. Poor chap. The store opened up rather recently at Stoneridge Mall. They were to move to another part of the mall and had set up shop temporarily bang in the middle of the mall, near Starbucks. The customer service is pretty much like that I have faced at any other MAC store. Friendly and always complimenting my skin tone and the quality of my skin. Yes, I know you want me to buy stuff. Yes, I am going to buy stuff. But, as much as their compliments seem fake, I enjoy myself. I came here to buy stuff for my baby sister in law and ended up buying some stuff for myself too. And this happens everytime. The only reason I am writing this review is because a) it's close to home. so YEAY! b) it's got a ton of products, close to a MAC pro store but not quite. c) the girls are just wonderful. I've been a fan of MAC cosmetics for a long time - their products are reliable, affordable and always changing. I was running out of my bronzer, so I was shopping for something new for my cheeks. I told one of the associates (I wish I got her name) what my story was and she had all these ideas on colors. She sampled a few on my face, asked me to step outside of the store for better lighting and give my opinion on it. I would tell her either "more brown" or "more pink" and she would know exactly what to show me next. She taught me the most effective way to apply the blush and even put on lipgloss for me that complimented the blush. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. If I didn't already have billions of lipgloss, I would go for it. I ended up purchasing the Sunbasque Powder Blush and I LOVE IT. Thank you! read more

My second review. I realized I bought the wrong shade on accident and the glam squad helped me re-find the right one. I did any easy return and still had the same great service with the other team members. They helped me find a primer with no shimmer, or radiance. My new shade looks flawless and undetectable. Let me start with a simple fact about myself.... I am a MAC addict & have been for over 15 years! Me & MAC go way back! I have been coming to this location since its grand opening & I have never had any bad experiences. All of the girls & guys makeup is on fleek! They are fully staffed & always more than enough artists to go around and help with any questions you may have. All great personalities & very friendly! Location is perfectly located downstairs in the middle of the mall. They are typically pretty well stocked with product, & the store is very organized & clean. They hold a good amount of events with new launches & some makeup classes as well! I recommend checking this location out if you're a regular MAC product buyer, or just want to see what products work best for you! read more

I personally think this is the best MAC store I've been to. Hands down better than valley fair and the pro store in SF. This review will be specifically for Chanel (if I spelled her name wrong, sorry!) I came in, and I was immediately greeted by Chanel and several other associates. Chanel is so lovely! She was really patient with what I was asking for and really took her time in trying stuff out on me. Not like at other MAC stores (except for this one girl at the pro store, she was amazing as well.) She did have to tend to other customers while helping me, but being that there were a few associates along with quite a bit of customers, it was understandable. I didn't mind waiting for her, as I understand what it's like to work in retail. And I did not want her to feel rushed as well. She was attentive to all her customers and was very sweet. She's also easy and very fun to talk to. She helped me pick out some awesome lipsticks and a powder. She gave some great recommendations as well. Everyone else in the store seems friendly as well. This is my favorite Mac Store.. I live in Union City and I refuse to go to newpark mall and south land mall for Mac cosmetics or even valley fair mall.. Everyone here is very helpful and very friendly and they are all willing to help you.. unlike everywhere else I have ever been too, they would look at you up and down (judging).. It's not like you're always dolled up ( your going to buy more makeup so sometimes you won't look all that great) , they're suppose to show professionalism since they are MUA.. Overall good experience. The makeup artist was really sweet and engaging and she really brought my vision to life (I brought pictures of the look I was going for). My makeup was for my engagement photos, so it basically needed to be perfect! :) My only gripe is that at this particular location, they have their chairs facing out into the mall for literally *everyone* to see. I know they want passers by to see what they do, but I feel like getting makeup done is a pretty personal thing, not for the entire public to see. I feel like that was a big enough issue to take off two stars. Makeup quality and makeup artist were 5 stars easily. On a side note, I had an appointment. Wow. What an amazing experience my daughter and I received today at this location. The immediate service not for a sell but for an experience that ROB provided was extraordinary. The part of our experience that really stood out was the culture in the store. BRITNEY was the leader and she ensured everyone felt and looked great - she floated she serviced she supported effortlessly. ROB is a reflection of the awesome leadership- I am unsure of the last time I have received that type of service. This MAC store is wonderful! I always come in for one thing and end up walking out with 5 or 6 items more! The artists here are very knowledgable! Jamie helped me out on my last visit. Not only did she help me find what I needed, but she also gave me make-up tips! I'm not the brightest person when it comes to applying eyeshadow, or finding the perfect lipstick! Jamie also offered to call Nordstroms for some of the items they have sold out on. All the other MUAs were kind too! Jessica was also so helpful! So genuine and sincere! She had helped me out a few times as well! This location does get busy whether weekday or weekend, I can understand why, they have exceptional service! I went to the MAC store yesterday to pick up some new foundation. I was approached by Kenneth and asked if I needed his help picking anything out for myself. I asked if he could help me choose the right color for my skin tone. He promptly had me go sit in a chair and asked me to remove all of my foundation that I already had on. I have never had any of the artists here ask me to do something so extreme, but I am SO happy that he did! He not only selected the perfect foundation for my skin, but went on to show me the proper way to prime/set the foundation. He also went as far as applying a couple colors of eyeshadow on my lids to help my eyes pop. Not only was I helped by one of the nicest people that MAC has working for them, but I was also taught some new techniques that will help me apply my new makeup on my own. I'm so happy they have their own storefront at Stoneridge! It gets to be too much of a hassle trying to wiggle around the small counters at Nordstrom, plus the copious amount of floor space allows for the inclusion of their full line of product, and there isn't a problem of running out of any given item. For those reasons, this MAC tends to be really busy at all hours of the day. I think they could do well to add an additional makeup artist or two (especially on the weekends!) so they don't have to constantly be shuffling back and forth between customers in the middle of applications. That being said, I had a great experience today thanks to Haley! After explaining to her that I was looking to switch up my routine, she was super quick to point me in the direction of a great foundation with the light coverage and matte finish that I was looking for. She matched my color with ease and was really sweet the whole time and made me feel totally comfortable. What I appreciated most was her genuine eagerness to help me find exactly what I was looking for, rather than pushing pricy products to boost commission. Thank you again, Haley!!! read more

I got my makeup done for my graduation by the manager Donna, Donna was super sweet and did an amazing job all I did was show her a picture of what I wanted and she recreated it so easily. I loved getting my makeup done and I will be returning for my next occasion. The only downside was it was super expensive--but I did get a free mascara and bought the false eyelashes and lipstick so it could've added to the cost. I paid a whopping total of $97 for full face & eyes. But i think it was 100% worth it! Totally recommend asking for Donna! She will take care of you! read more
