Ordered an item to pick up and called at 8pm as I was parking in front to have my daughter run in and the person who answered the phone said they couldn't allow anyone else in the store past 8pm. Didn't ask my name or order or what the item was. It was literally a foundation stick.....It was exactly 8pm and they for sure could've let me run in to pick it up. They clearly care more about getting out the door than their customers. To conclude, I canceled my order promptly as I won't give my business to a store who doesn't value customer service. Just so happened to stop at this location since it was located next to the Whole Foods store. I had a gift card I received for my birthday and decided to come into this location to use it. I was immediately greeted as I walked in the door by a sweet young lady, did not catch her name. She didn't have a badge on that was visible. I was saying that the customer service associates at this location. We're very attentive to all customers and it was a busy day as they had some great specials taking place. I had to actually leave and come back because apparently the gift card I received was not activated properly. Once I sorted that out with my friend who purchased the card, I came back and decided to really dive in and splurge a little. I knew that I wanted a lipgloss set. I happened to grab the last one that was on sale. However, I wanted to try a body mist spray by Salt $ Stone, that caught my eye. While I was looking in the back wall area a very kind associate by the name of Natalie went out of her way to assist me , and direct me where there were more of those products.. Now, as I said that everyone was super nice considering it was so many people in the store however, Natalie went above and beyond, and I had to personally thank her after I made my purchase. I had a 90 mins bridal makeup but ended up going late Sandy G was so good she told initially that she would just do for 60 mins regular since she had next appointment. in that 60 mins she did her magic and did all that I asked for and I was all ready with bridal makeup as I wanted and my look was so good that I got compliments for each and every person I met that evening .I highly recommend her for any wedding makeup .You just ask as per your need and she does her magic. I really enjoy shopping this location but the sales associate, specifically the lady whose name starts with an N and ends YI, is a bit disrespectful. I try to avoid her when shopping here. Background to this - purchased foundation at regular price. It went on sale 50% 3 days later. Asked what would be the best way to take advantage of the sale - either return or do a price adjustment. She said return and re-buy. Asked if I used it and I said Yes and I want to keep the product but want the lower price. She really did not like this nor wanted to do the return for a new one. She said I could get a brand new one and sent someone to go look. That person said there is no more but they lied because before going to the register, I looked to see if my shade was available and there were a few boxes. I'll still continue to go here because of the selection of items but sales associates could use an attitude check. read more

The nerve of Jamsine to tell us we should've called when the sign says no estimated time of opening is beyond me. 10am was the appointment for wedding makeup and she tells us that the 11am will go before me and can do us at noon when my appointment was first. The correct thing to do is to push everybody out and go in the order of appointments scheduled because the STORE was at fault for not opening on time. I am usually an easy going customer who knows what she wants going to a store like Sephora . I have my staple products so once I come to Sephora , I usually know what I want to get. I went to Sephora in Dublin because it's on my way home. Got the products that I needed... then checked out . I asked the lady wearing a hijab if I can check out from Her kiosk ( no cash registry ) , this lady seems she didn't want to check out my items but had no choice and was reluctant ... it's the way you project yourself as a worker there and unfortunately this lady isn't cut for this job. I don't remember the name of the girl who helped me but I know it started with an "A" and not a common name. She was one of the most pleasant and fun shopping experiences I've had! This was a couple months ago now. This has got to be the WORST Sephora I have ever been to in my life. Workers here are not very efficient. A lot of employees standing around doing nothing when there is an open cash register with no one on it and a very long line of people trying to check out. This location is a little further than the one in San Ramon and Pleasanton, but it had the product I was needing to do an exchange for an Urban Decay limited time palette that I had originally ordered via the Sephora app, but it had arrived damaged. I first went to the store in SR and they did not have it, but they were able to see the inventory at other locations, called this location and had them place a palette for me on hold - went to go pick it up before closing no issues. This store is slightly bigger than the one in SR sq ft wise as there's more space to walk around between aisles. We were able to process the exchange at the makeup counter area and after I browsed around. Ended up getting color matched for the YSL Touche Eclat All-Over Brightening Concealer Pen (tried No. 2 and 2.5 - both looked good on me, but I went with 2 for a brighter look, but 2.5 had blended really nicely for that effortless no makeup look - I may need to buy the 2.5 later). I also inquired about the Kerastase Nutritive 8H Magic Night Serum Hydrating Treatment - I had applied some to my hair earlier when I was browsing and I thought I could tell an immediate difference to my hair, but I wasn't sure. I was able to receive a sample to continue testing the product at home. Other inquiries on wanting to know what products the girl who had helped color match me would recommend for the below... Tips I received and luckily had these products at home: - Neck / cream / serum: try using the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream as its a firming and tightening body lotion (why didn't I think of this before?!) - Under-eye cream / serum: try Peter Thomas Roth's (PTR) Eye Patches. There are 3 different kinds (green, gold, or blue) I have the green at home already that I keep forgetting to use since I do already keep these in my drink fridge at home. Sephora has a few spots specifically designated for curbside pick-up which I thought was interesting as I've never seen this offered at any other Sephora store location. Persimmon Place is still fairly new to me and have only been a few times on foot - hung around Starbucks to do some work and writing while waiting for my car to be serviced nearby. Today, I attempted to save a little money by going to the beauty shop across the street instead of this location. That old adage you get what you pay for was glaringly obvious. I visited this location for a makeup lesson and wasn't sure what to expect. I arrived before my appointment with an open mind, ready to learn anything. I checked in with one of the staff members and was told I will have to wait a bit until the station for my lesson was ready. Once ready, I was helped by Sandy who immediately gave me her undivided attention in my makeup lesson needs. She asked what my goals are and what I'm hoping to come out with after finishing the lesson. I told her it was my first time with makeup and I was nervous going into it. I also said I was nervous to go into the store in the first place. After sharing more about myself with Shandy, she expertly guided me through the lesson. Sandy broke up the lesson into manageable parts and constantly made sure I was comfortable and doing things right. We had great back-and-forth conversations regarding what I wanted to do with makeup and testing out different methods of applying makeup. I definitely felt like I had a great Makeup 101 lesson from Sandy. We were able to try things I didn't like and things I did like. In the end, I was happy with the results and my final look. Simple, clean, and durable was all I needed. Sandy made sure I was able to get there. To wrap up the lesson, Sandy added all the products used in the lesson to my account. I came into this Sephora for a full face make up service for my baby shower. Kayla was my make up artist. I am 36 weeks pregnant and sitting in the make up chair for an hour I became hot, dehydrated and faint from not eating prior to my appointment. Kayla was very patient with me, her and another associate were extremely attentive giving me a stool for my feet, some water and snacks to make sure I was comfortable during my service. On top of all that and despite me being so difficult with my pregnant problems Kayla gave me an amazing make over. So, I normally only shop at Ulta Beauty because I love their competitive pricing and combined with hair product events, it's a win-win for all of my needs. Either that, or I just get my beauty stuff from Nordstroms because customer service is top notch and delivery is 1-2 days. However, I stumbled into this Sephora after grocery shopping next door at Whole Foods because they carry the infamous Rare Beauty line by Selena Gomez. I wanted to see what the hype was and I'm so glad I came here! I usually don't like Sephora stores because it's always crowded, I'm constantly being upsold products, or customer service is just nonexistent. This Sephora might just have changed my mind... Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by an associate, Nadia. I told her I was looking for the Rare Beauty tinted moisturizer and she helped color matched me. She also gave me some tips and advice when I had question on how to apply the moisturizer and which setting spray would be best for it. I felt welcomed and not rushed (even though there was suddenly an influx of customers coming into the store while she was helping me). No other associates bothered me while I was browsing and I really liked that, too. This was my second time there & I was greeted right away and Ayat helped me color match. I told her the Sephora in my area (sephora Daly City) rudely told me that they don't give any samples of foundation anymore. So I asked her that and she said of course we do. She was so friendly and answered all my questions about the different foundations and gave me some recommendations to go with it. First time visit to Dublin Sephora but the Worst Sephora experience ever. The salesperson used my gift card for purchase, stated the gift card balance of used and was trying to use my credit card charge me for remaining balance. I was informed me I will be charged for in store purchase and the item unavailable at the store will be ordered online and charged separately once shipped. I said that's fine. She didn't know how to complete the transaction so asked the assistant manager Nayeli for help. Nayeli came and cancelled the transaction to start over but during the cancellation the gift card balance got wiped out and the gift card balance went to zero. I said there was $67 gift balance when she charged me initially so not sure why it is zero. The manager questioned the salesperson and she could not confirm what she told me and said she did not know what happened. I explained to manager the exact conversation and stated what happened and the balance of gift before transaction was $67 but she would not believe me. All she could tell me was that now the balance is zero, no transaction made and questioned me if I even had a balance to start of with. Nayeli's attitude and response was unprofessional, disrespectful and rude. She tried to prove me wrong by demanding proof that I had a balance of my gift card. She wanted to see my Sephora account so I showed her and she said see I told you that there is no proof of gift card used and balance. I had to show her my email receipt of last gift card used and balance of $67. Then she told me she had to review the security camera and transaction detail so I had to wait. The. She comes out and tell my security system is down but did confirm what I told the. Was correct and I should have balance of $67. After waiting one hour, they called customer service to confirm if transaction made at their store which still they did not believe me. Customer service confirmed that gift card balance was used at that store at 6:28 pm. Still Nayeli did not apologize for inconvenience and for not believing and told me she could still not help me. No apology offered when they made the error, could not offer resolution and had poor customer service. The salesperson I dealt was inexperienced and the assistant manager Nayeli does not know how to do her job and made my Sephora experience the worst. Will never return there. I ended leaving empty handed, wiped out gift card only to self resolve this issue with customer service. read more
