First time eating pho here just to try it out since I am running errands nearby. Personally, it wasn't good at all. I ordered the combination beef noodle soup, which lack the flavor of beef in their broth/soup. It tasted like they simply add more water to the pot when low on soup instead of making a new one with the necessary ingredients. A good bowl of pho need to start off with a good soup base. Everything else is just an add on based on preferences (ex: meat and veggie...). I could barely taste the flavor of beef in my pho. So 'pho-king' sad. Based on my experiences, observe the crowds. I have been coming to this place for years. I always love the steak pho and shrimp fried rice. The service is always excellent.

They need to wash their grill machine, it probably 1-2 years without cleaning. The broth for the pho need to be hotter. Pho is okay.

I have so many good things to say about this place! I love eating here for lunch at least 2 days out of the week (or whenever I can) because the food is great! I always get the vegetable pho with tofu. Delicious! I'm never unhappy when I come here. The lady who takes my order knows what I want when I come in because I get the same thing every time. Trying this place out while we visit and it's pretty good. I ordered the pad Thai togo for myself. And their pork with sunny side up rice plate for my husband. Also got their #1 Cambodian noodle and beef chow fun for my family. My pad Thai taste like Kathew cha. My Cambodian folks know what that is which I really like and wanted anyways so it work out perfect. My husband grilled pork taste like any other pork plate and their sunny side up was perfect it came with a side of soup the lady at the counter recommend we don't get the shredded pork for no one likes it's I said ok. The Cambodian noodle was nothing different then a regular pho noodle. The chow fun was a little on the sweet side. And yes I taste a little of everyone good lol. The place looks clean, I don't live out here but it looks a lot safer to go to then most of the other places. read more

Surprised that I didn't get second hand smoke while visiting this place and I was ordering to go. Smoke smell was super thick. Took close to half and order just for an order of spring rolls. Big, clean place. Quick, friendly service. Top-notch rare steak phò, but it's the only time I've ever been served Vietnamese beef-noodle soup without being brought the accompanying veggie plate by default. I had to ask for it. I'm very disappointed in my food! Ordered fried prawn but let's just say "shrimp" battered was hard! Chicken chow mein was salty!!! my seafood salad was nothing but celery with 3 piece of shrimp and the crab tasted like it's been in the freezer for years. Shrimp pad Thai was a no no! We were on a trip to Reno and the kids got hungry. Found Mac Pho on the map and made a B line to it. My husband had the Hu Tieu and I ordered the Pho for me and my daughter. The noodles were good with no after taste of MSG to make you thirsty. My son had the broken rice with grilled chicken and thought it was better than what you would typically get in a Vietnamese restaurant Overall we had a good experience with Pho Mac. Okay so I came here tonight with my father and my stepmother and although the food tasted well and they brought us basically what we ordered my soup did not have all the ingredients that it said it would but it was still very good we had ordered spring rolls as an appetizer and they came when we were about halfway through with our soup the table was so dirty that I asked for a rag to clean it and the guy just said well go to another table and I'll clean it later so we picked up and moved to another table and it was even worse and it was sticky so I went to get a rag and the guy said no I'll do it so he finally walked over and wipe the table down and I don't know how clean that rag is that he had but we didn't have any napkins I had to get spoons out of another table they had no sweetener or sugar on the table for tea, all in all the food was good the service and and cleanliness was not so good no soap in the bathroom I wonder how they wash their hands after they use the restroom read more

Disappointed that my usual pho place changed ownership. Looks like they're still working on redecorating as well. Can't say much about the atmosphere. Cold and unwelcoming and not very "cultural." The menu, which was a dirty paper list of the food was unappealing. Would be nice to see what the food looks like. Noticed the prices went up too. Can't say that the pho was any better or improved. I can only say that it was okay. Why do these places never give out enough herbs and veggies? Sigh! I will definitely have to look for another pho place to frequent for now. I have ate at almost all the Vietnamese restaurants that this town has to offer and I have to say this place is the one with the best broth. I honestly don't know why there are so many complaints about this place, probably just "silly" people complaining, a nice term for it. I've tried one of almost everything on their menu here and haven't tasted one bad thing. I'm a big rather and I criticize a lot when it comes to food. The family who owns this place is really nice and is a lot better then the last owner of this place. The place doesn't look "awesome" but its comfortable and quality food matters more over decorations any day. I would recommend this place to anyone and already have so. read more

I used to frequent Pho 888 nearly every week but at least every other week I was very sad to find out that there was a change of ownership. I was hoping that Mac Pho would keep the same tasty recipe Pho 888 used, when I went there today I was in for a rude awakening. The broth was terrible it was sweet and tasted like cinnamon no matter how much Sriracha i added I could not remove the sweetness from the broth. I think the worst part about it was that the meet was horrible and I could tell that it was very old. When pho 888 was open some of my favorite cuts of meat were the rare steak that was thrown in raw then cooked by hot broth and the tendon that have a nice chewy texture to it. Unfortunately today the rare steak in my bowl was more like very well-done steak it was curled and cupped up and looked like it had been sitting in the broth for at least an entire day. The tendon was equally horrendous it was cold and hard and I felt like I was chewing on a piece of plastic. I thought about sharing my feelings with the owner when I got up to pay for my bowl but I felt it rude to share unless she asked which is what most new owners to do because they want to make sure that they have repeat customers. Since she did not asked I simply kept it to myself but made the decision to never go again. Unfortunately I will have to find myself a new place to get pho now. Having the location of my previous favorite place for a bowl is what got me in the door. The old food is what will ensure that I will never come again read more
