    Gross calamari
    Casey Y.

I ordered Pho Lucky off of Doordash and it was so bad. The spring rolls were ordered were all broken and busted and they did not give us peanut sauce as seen in the photo. In addition, we ordered their fried calamari and it was a lot of batter and overcooked. I've never eaten a bready rubber squid in my life. It was so disgusting! No flavor either! Lastly we got a grilled pork banh mi. It was the best out of the things we ordered but it was still not good. First they use a wheat roll and not the traditional french roll in a banh mi (the crunch was so flakey and getting everywhere). Next the pork was like 25% all fat. Lastly they really skimp on the veggies. Overall, would not come here again or order here again. Please do better. I felt like I wasted my money.

pho lucky is a fave of ours. we always get the pho so haven't tried too much from the menu. the pho is amazing and always comes out piping hot and super fast. i personally don't like the meat they put in pho so i always give mine to andy. the broth is really flavorful and i usually add lime and chili oil to mine. i took the pic before adding anything. the noodles are perfect every time and they load your bowl with noodles. i always get the small and it's usually too much for me to finish but andy gets the large. we usually get the fried rice and it's good, but definitely not the best fried rice i've had. we add the thick brown sauce that's in the squeeze bottle in the table and it makes it perfect. this was our first time getting the egg rolls and omg. seriously one of the best i've ever had. they were really big and loaded with meat on the inside amongst other things. we debated ordering more of them even though we were so full just because they're so good. we got a banana and a taro shake. i always get the taro and it is just so good. it's really sweet and has an almost whip cream flavor to it. i can't explain it, but it's perfect. the banana was good, but not out favorite. andy wanted to try something new. it was a little more icey texture and flavor wise compared to the taro. sweet, but not as sweet. it was a little bit more of a refreshing flavor than a "i want a milkshake" flavor. either way still good, but just prefer taro. service is always super good and pricing isn't too bad. pretty comparable to most other asian spots, maybe a bit cheaper. they have a huge menu and we definitely need to try more items next time we go.

Amazing food, not the fanciest place, but definitely great, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Pretty big restaurant, also able to accommodate if you have a bigger group. Reasonably priced.. and will customize a dish if you have specific dietary needs. I asked if they could make charbroiled beef wrapped onions, a dish I had at another Vietnamese restaurant in the Bay Area.. and the Lotus salad was fresh and delicious.. with a little spice.. Everything was yummy! This is our go to for Vietnamese. Price and quality of food along with the staff is 5 stars

I was craving some soup yesterday, and in a quick Yelp search, this place popped up. I saw that they had Mi Quang on the menu, which is one of my favorites (and a lot of Vietnamese places don't have this on the menu because it's a regional dish). I decided to give it a try, and have pretty high expectations. Also, I hadn't had my coffee yet for the day, so I added an iced Vietnamese coffee to the order. In lightning speed, my order was ready. They packaged it up perfectly, since I was taking it to-go. They even asked if I needed utensils, which was a good reminder since I had forgotten that the place I was taking it to eat wouldn't have utensils. I can honestly say, this was THE BEST I had EVER had. I was talking with a friend when eating my lunch, and had to keep stopping the conversation to let them know how delicious the soup was. I just couldn't believe how tender the pork was. The meat just fell off the bone and into the soup when I grabbed it. It had clearly been seasoned and cooked at the perfect temperature (for hours). I didn't need to season it at all (other than the traditional toppings). The broth was soooo flavorful. Shrimp were cleaned (I notice these small things), veggies were impeccably fresh. The lime was juicy, jalapeños were the perfect compliment. I just can't say more about this soup. I'm going to recommend it to everyone I talk to, since it stomps my old place out of the water! And, if I couldn't even be happier--that iced coffee! OMG. Like how was I living before trying this place?!?!?! It was literally the best I've ever had. And I'm a connoisseur, not just the average Jane. Vietnamese is my favorite cuisine, and I will undeniably be their biggest fan. Can't wait to try so much more on the menu!

    Bun Bo Hue

The food is really good I got the bun Bo hue and egg rolls. It's a hole in the wall, but the service is good they're very fast to ordering and they do have broken English. So be alittle understanding

    142. Salted and peppered calamari

Always our go to restaurant since 2006! Owner is very friendly. Only time ordering salted and peppered calamari was very disappointed! Portion is so stingy and not worth the money spent!

    Super disappointing

This restaurant doesn't care anymore. This used to be a restaurant where when I would visit my family in Stockton, I would always look forward to having pho here. Understandably, portion have changed due to inflation because of the pandemic, however, their lack of care and skill in their food has dramatically disappeared. This was the spot for the best pho with the most flavorful broth and that isn't the case anymore. I ordered bun Bo hue and received some wilted garnish and questionable thick slices of beef. The quality was alarming. The broth was spicy yet watered down. The spring rolls came stuffed with vermicelli noodles, mainly noodles, overcooked whole shrimp & broken rice wrapper!! Overly stuffed and wrapped and broke. The pork in the roll was so thick cut it made the entire flavor of the spring roll off balance, and the quality and flavor of the pork itself was questionable. What a shame. This restaurant had memories for my family. 1 star because I can't give zero. WHAT A SHAME.

Another Pho restaurant I'd like to make an honest review. Nestled between I-5 and Hwy 99 on Hammer Ln It's in a kind of rundown shopping center next to a massage parlor, liquor store, and a cigarette shop. The restaurant is fairly clean. The waitresses and waiters are not very engaging which is fine. I'm there to eat Pho correct? The food comes out fairly quick. They have all the usual stuff on the table the Sriracha sauce, chili oil, that dark brown sweet Hoisin sauce? One thing I can honestly say is there Pho has tons of meat in it, they don't skimp out (read my reviews of other Pho restaurants) like I always say "all Pho is not the same" I gave it 4 out of 5 stars, not because of the food, not because of the ambience, but because every time I go in there they got stinking fake news CNN on, all the time on. I have no problem going in there again when I need my Pho fix.

Just pho and noodles that is it!

Lortcha Noddles: this is tropioca rice noodles stir fry with Chinese broccoli & bean sprouts. Meat are extra charged. I added chicken. This dish is new to me. And wow! It was packed and loaded with flavors! Everything wre trench in the savoury sauce! If you haven't been here, it is a MUST try! I definitely need to return for more wings and try their other dishes. The Crab Fried Rice with Shrimp was delicious. They used real crab meat and definitely didn't skimp on it, which made every bite worth it. The Drunken Noodles were another standout. The noodles were cooked perfectly--not overcooked or soggy--and the flavors were spot on. One thing we really appreciated was the generous portion sizes. We had plenty of leftovers to take home, making it an even better value. The dining area is small, simple, neat, and clean, creating a comfortable atmosphere. The staff were also friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. My only disappointment was the Thai Tea. It came in a can, which was my fault for not reading the menu carefully. I was expecting freshly made Thai tea, so the canned version just wasn't for me. Overall, I'd give Johnny Wokker Southeast Asian Cuisine a 9/10. Great food, generous portions, friendly service, and definitely a place I'd come back to--I'll just skip the canned Thai Tea next time!

Hands down!!! This is one of the best pho places I've ever been to in the Central Valley area. Oh…read moremy goodness, this place was phenomenal! They have a great variety of food and drink selections. There is usually a waiting list, and when we arrived, the restaurant was already packed. We only waited about 5 to 10 minutes to be seated while they finished cleaning a table for us. The restaurant itself is pretty compact, so wheelchair accessibility might be difficult; you would have to squeeze through, as there is limited space. The customer service was okay. While they took our order in a timely manner, getting water refills was a bit lacking. I understand they were busy, but for a restaurant that stays this packed, providing a pitcher of water at the table would be a convenient fix if staff can't keep up with refills. I think adding that small touch would make this place even better, especially since they attract a high volume of customers and serve such high-quality food. Customer Service: 6.5/10 Food Review: * A9 (Chicken Wings Lemon Pepper): These were so good and crispy--my girls absolutely loved them! The portion size was great. They were very flavorful, with just the right amount of seasoning. Lemon pepper can easily become overpowering if it isn't done right, but this seasoning was absolutely perfect. Rate: 8/10 * B1 (Pho Rib-Eye Grilled Beef): I thought it was very interesting how they served the grilled rib-eye beef on the side. It was incredibly flavorful, juicy, and tender, which made for a great dining experience. The broth was good, too. Rate: 7/10 * B3 (Pho Special w/ Combo Oxtail): This was my pho, and I loved it! The meat and oxtail were super tender, and the meat came off the bone so smoothly. I completely devoured all the protein, which rarely happens for me. The broth was amazing. Rate: 8/10 * Brown Sugar Cinnamon Milk Tea w/ Boba: To be honest, I had never tried cinnamon milk tea before and decided to give it a shot. It was just okay for me--it actually reminded me of Fireball alcohol (yuck!). It did start to taste a lot better as the ice melted and diluted the cinnamon flavor, making it less overpowering. Rate: 2/10 Overall Experience: We had a really good experience here. Even though the surrounding location feels a bit rough around the edges, the food itself was amazing. The customer service was decent, and the prices were reasonable. I'd highly recommend that anyone in the area check it out--it is definitely worth it! For parking, there are spots available in both the front and the back of the building. The back can feel a little risky since it's set up like an alley, while the front parking is right by the main road. There isn't a ton of parking space overall, but we were able to find a spot just fine.

An amazing home-y spot for Asian comfort food in Manteca :)…read more For appetizers, we got the bang bang shrimp and spicy wontons and both were delicious. I liked how crispy and sweet yet tangy the bang bang shrimp was. This was probably my favorite item we tried! The chili wontons weren't too spicy and they were really generous with the amount of shrimp inside. Shrimp & wonton noodle soup was def a comfort meal growing up, so I'm happy they had that here! Portion size was very generous and broth was tasty. Noodles were cooked well too, and I liked the filling of the wonton. We also got the curry ramen with katsu chicken. The chicken was sooo crispy, it was one of my favorite items. The bacon kimchi flavor had a nice spicy kick to it. The beef chili oil noodles was tasty and I liked the small beef bits. The bang bang chicken had the same sauce as the bang bang shrimp, but I liked how the entree came with rice too. The philly cheesesteak eggrolls were super crispy, and if you're a cheese lover, you need to try this! Overall, a really solid spot for Asian fusion food, and the servers were all extremely nice and patient as well. Service was really quick!

Saturday, December 27th, 2025, Approx. 12:57 PM…read more QUICK SUMMARY: Delicious Bang for the Buck. A definite try !!! It was a lazy Saturday afternoon after Christmas, and I wanted to try some new Chinese food in North Stockton. This venue had good reviews on Yelp & Google, so I decided to give this place a try and order take-out food. The menu had some daily lunch specials for under $11.00 and this was the route I took. PROS: - Had the Pork Chow Mein, House Chicken & Mongolian Beef. All were delicious. Was surprised at how spicy the Mongolian Beef was, but this was the best of the three dishes. The Pork Chow Mein was well garnished and visually appealing. The House Chicken had the most volume, but I believe that the chicken had been fried some time prior to my visit, and was warmed up / had finishing touches applied, upon receipt of my order. - While waiting for my order I noticed the tasteful interior decor, which gives off a nice dining atmosphere. Especially if one were only ordering a lunch special, it would be a great environment to enjoy your $10.95 & CA State Tax meal. - Further to the above, the prices are a BARGAIN in this era of high inflation. Even the non-lunch special items only go for $12 - $13 bucks. CONS: - The Fried Rice which came with the meal was below my expectations, as it only is white rice with soy sauce and fried eggs sprinkled on top. (See attached pictures.) NOTE TO MANAGEMENT: C'mon folks, I know that you're trying to keep overhead low, but this is not fried rice in any shape or form. Better to just serve white rice and not serve fake fried rice. CONCLUSION: If they had proved better Fried Rice in my order, I'd give this place 5 Stars. But for the price I paid for my meal, I was very satisfied. Thus. if you're in on Hammer Lane and want a good Chinese meal for your hard earned money, this place is an excellent go-to option.
