I've been to a lot of Pho places in Stockton and hands down this one is the best! Number one is the CUSTOMER SERVICE is amazing! Usually Pho places treat you like trash with little to no importance. I always felt unloved and unwanted. At this place I actually felt cared for. You can tell from the start that they are genuinely happy to help. Plus I asked for extra lemon and they actually have me more than 2 slices. The shakes are so good! I recommend the strawberry one it tastes like strawberries and cream. read more

The restaurant only serve "FREE" water upon customer's request according to what they say is "California's law." Seriously? I don't see other restaurants do this. Just went to Mac Pho since I was advised to check out 888 and evidently its a different restaurant of the same type now. I ordered Pho as well as a Vermicelli noodle dish with Pork/Beef/Shrimp. The dishes were all right but the quality of the meat and flavor of the Pho both left quite a bit to be desired. As other reviewers have stated, there are far better options around for Vietnamese. Overall not a whole lot to say about this place as it was just mediocre and annoying overall, they had an annoying television in the background that was cutting in and out on a childrens program although there was no children and just provided incredibly annoying background noise (I do not like sitting in a restaurant with annoying noise going non-stop, do not think most people do). read more

Wasnt exactly the place we were looking to come to but sure happy we did stop here! Its raining and the soup was really good. Too bad we dont live anywhere close by to here. I've been coming here for a little over a year now and I really like this place. People say on here that the Pho is a little bland and its true. I personally like it because in other places the sodium is a bit overwhelming to me. The springrolls are very fresh and crisp. The peanut dipping sauce is the BOMB! The best one I've had so far. Pho is great and special in this area. You have to try BBQ beef rolls, spicy noodle, egg rolls, special spring rolls, BBQ pork over rice with soup on the side... We stayed Stockton in a month, we eat everyday there. So so so good, we will miss you MAC PHO. read more

I wouldn't honestly give them no stars!!! Nobody helped us at all!!! Only dropped off menus and never returned! Too busy with orders to go and there was like literally 5 tables sitting with menus too! They obviously need to stop being cheap and hire help! This our first and last visit to Mac Pho. I was hopeful that this was going to be a great Vietnamese restaurant based on the reviews I read. The pho was okay, nothing to write home about. I am half Vietnamese so I know what good pho should taste like, this was mediocre at best. My husband ordered fried rice and beef chow fun. For the chow fun, you can choose to have it served with gravy or dry. My husband specifically ordered it dry because he does not like saucy dishes. It came with sauce on it and the noodles were undercooked. The fried rice didn't look authentic and it had a ton of miscellaneous items in it that are usually found in fried rice. Not appetizing at all. When we went to pay ( after leaving most of the food on the table) the guy asked how everything tasted. Not wanting to make a fuss... I just said it was okay but the chow fun was supposed to be dry and it wasn't. The guy tells me.., " next time , tell the waitress the chow fun was supposed to be dry last time and it wasn't so she can tell the cook." This place sucks there is flys everywhere and the man who took my order stands and watches me as i get impacted by these flys and does nothing! Definitely a 3 star or less. This place is average, the pho alone without hoison and Sriracha sauce doesn't taste the best, but once you add sauces to your own personal taste it's slightly better. If you decide on a rice plate the fish sauce is not good at all it's extremely sweet I'm assuming for those who are not asian as they know they make it much sweeter than other locations. Anyways.... I love pho! I'm always trying to find a good pho place especially when I visit my girlfriend in stockton. Here at Mac Pho their broth is on point! I got the beef pho with tri tip and beef balls. The only thing I would like to note is they water down their hosin sauce, which is crucial to making pho pop! Get that fixed and I'll be coming back when I'm in town. I went with a friend a week ago. I heard that there was a change in management and decided to give this place another try. However, never again will I ever come to this place nor will I recommend it to anyone. Long story not short, I told the lady staff that my friend didn't like the food; she didn't even eat it, but I had finished mine; therefore, she wanted a refund on hers. The lady staff had the nerve to argue with my friend that it was her fault because she ordered it. So then she decided to make us pay for the one that my friend wanted because the price is cheaper. I got super upset so I butt in and say that no, you don't understand. She's not paying for something she didn't eat. She didn't touch her food, why should she pay for something she didn't even eat? Hey, maybe if your other staff would've checked on our table, you could've saved us all the hassle and argument. Then this staff tells me to not butt into the conversation and I was taken aback. Shame on you. How hard is it to learn some customer service skills? Anyway, back to the story, she tells me shes having an A and B conversation and C shouldn't interrupt. And then she reminds my friend to next time order the right entree in detail. She then walks away and does the stereotypical thing, starts gossiping in our language. Yes, i'm Vietnamese. Fueled by anger, I yell out "I can hear what you're saying!" So we go pay. the ONLY saving grace is the old man staff there, who was super polite and didn't charge us for my friend's entree.
