Green Tamale Dinner with tomatillo sauce and Baja sauce

This location is great! Clean comfortable dining room, excellent service and great food. Tamale dinner was excellent. I had the green corn, one with tomatillo sauce, one with Baja sauce My daughter had shredded beef tacos which she really enjoyed.

Tried this because there's so little choices out here. Upon arrival it was suspect; waited about 3 minutes(feels long when you stand at the hostess stand). There's approximately 30-40 tables with 25+ bar seating. When we entered there were 6 tables occupied h not an employee in sight. There were 4 tables that were dirty just sitting there. The guy that was our "server" really struggled with the "service"part of his job. He spent the entire time standing at the bar, when he was visible, chatting with a couple people & never checking on anyone at the tables. ********FLIES ALL OVER THE PLACE****** When we were finally seated, there was a dead on the place setting napkin! They have fly "fans" INSIDE running to help keep flies from landing at the bar. The men's room was filthy, the top of the urinal looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a week, the wall facing the urinal has "boogers"? on the walls as if someone did a farmer blow over & over on the wall! WHAT THE HECK? I was told this place is new in the area, IDK how "new" but I would expect a cleaner environment, I can only imagine what the kitchen was like! The food: way over priced (more than you'd expect) $9.99 for 1 taco with rice & beans! The rice was undercooked, the chicken taco was broken, the chicken enchilada was weak & flavorless, the salsa was flavored tomato juice. If they stay in business here I would be surprised. The chairs were wobbly & in but that big of a guy, I would expect better qualities from a large chain restaurant.

Alyssa was amazing. Very attentive. I love this location because the food is bussin' . And love this mural- reminds me of the wonderful immigrants who have farmed these fields out in here. It really made the ambiance.

I can't hold my tongue anymore. We have eaten here quite a few times since they have come to the neighborhood. The windows have flies, the floors are insanely greasy and so is the food. Windows were dirty as well. It's just gross Last time we went we said we wouldn't eat here anymore but thought it's been months let's try again. We almost left and grabbed Taco Bell. I don't think I would truly go into depth in regards to how horrible the service was from the waitress to the manager. We waited a very long time to be acknowledged. When she finally came to our table (she had 4 tables) she didn't even look at us - we had to ask for our water and iced tea by the manager. He dropped it at the table and left. She never refilled our drinks. We had to ask for more salsa. My food had to go back as it came with things that were not described on the menu. I asked for a menu to order something else. She never came back. I had to ask the to go gal to order my meal. My husband finished his meal (which was a stew that he described as way too salty to be enjoyable) and she asked if I was ready to order. My new food was coming out behind her. ‍ Never heard from the manager - we had to ask for the check. When she put the check down was the first time she looked at me and said "sorry for the inconvenience" Inconvenience? Anyway, we are done! We will do Cafe Rio or drive to Barrio Queen that opened up on the 303 and Waddell

Alyssa was our server....she was very attentive and friendly. We sat out on the patio and it was very beautiful out. No noise. We had drinks and dinner. All of which were served in a timely manner. Everything tasted great and we really annoyed ourselves.

Wrong order. Think it is the chicken Chimi.

Picked up food and it was the wrong order. Frustrated because I really wanted to try the Carne Asada chino.

Inside dining wasn't very big, but it was an off time, so there was plenty of seating available. They serve chips and salsa as soon as you sit. The chips were fresh and barely salted (which we like). I always ask for some guacamole with mine, I'm not a big salsa eater. Hubby really liked the salsa, but the guac was excellent!! Hubby ordered the 2 Cheese Enchiladas and I got the Large Taco Plate (I chose Carnitas and Al Pastor). They were served alongside rice and beans. The beans were nice and runny with cheese melted over. Hubby really enjoyed his enchiladas...they looked good, too. I asked for no cilantro (not a fan), so they doubled down on the onions, I guess. So many onions, I could barely make out what was in my tacos...LOL! After getting rid of some of them, I dug in. The tortillas were a bit dense, so I ended up taking the meats out of them and mixing it up with the rice/beans. The Carnitas were very tender, as was the Al Pastor. Service was fast and our server was very friendly.

You order at the counter and the food comes out to the table. You can tell this place is family owned. The owners, whom I assumed were there tonight, were lovely people. While we waited, the woman who took our order brought out a basket of chips with refried beans and fresco queso on top with a side of salsa. Woah! What? Epic. But wait! A few minutes later, a precious girl with the most warm inviting, and beautiful smile came out with 2 warm, homemade corn tortillas, with salsa and cheese for us. These were just complimentary extras we didn't expect at all. Soo good. The restaurant is a humble place. Cute, clean, inviting and roomy. There is an inside seating area and an outdoor section. Someone was grilling meat out front. I think, the owner. I ordered a chili relleno combo. It comes with rice, beans, tortillas, and a drink. Hubs ordered two carne asada tacos, and a carne asada sope. I didn't try anything my husband ordered. ( I was laser focused on my meal lol) But it looked really good. He said, you can tell, they make their food with love. Yes, yes, yes, you can. My dish, was the best chili relleno I have had the entire 5 yrs I have been living in AZ. And the beans were phenomenal. Honestly, I prefer eating at places like this. We came for an impromptu date night. I can say it was one of the best meals and date nights I've had in a while. Thank you. I stopped by on a Saturday night to finally check it out. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the trompo right away, which is always a good sign. I stepped up to the counter and was greeted with a warm smile from the young lady up front. After looking over the menu, I ordered two tacos de tripa and two tacos de suadero. She asked if I wanted the tripas extra crispy I said no. I also asked how they prepare the suadero since I didn't see a choricera, but she wasn't sure. When the food came out, the tripas were a letdown. The texture was off, almost like a stale chip, and they were clearly overcooked. I asked if I could swap them for something safer, so I went with asada instead, but that didn't impress either. It didn't taste very fresh. Now here's the reason you should come to Tacos Chilangos: the suadero. Even though it's not cooked the traditional way, it was absolutely delicious. Perfect meat-to-fat ratio, super flavorful, and easily the standout. The guacamole salsa was top tier. I kept going back to that one over the others.
