To start, this place has the rudest people working for them... I stayed away for the longest time just because of that. However I tried going back again yesterday, their menu prices are all incorrect, you have no idea how much you're paying for anything. I mentioned that and they pointed to a sign saying "we reserve the right to change our prices at anytime" I'm talking like an average of 2.00 each item. I purchased one item costing $5.38 the next day I see a pending transaction of $25.73 they were unwilling to work with me because I threw away my receipt. I would advise you to stay away from this place... they are crooks and probably overcharge multiple people, thinking that we wont notice the overcharge and who keeps their receipt from one taco?? The girl working the front wasn't friendly at all. She didn't give me my change back and when I confronted her she said oh it's because I don't have that change to give back to you. Haven't been to this place before so my boyfriend & I decided to try this place. The cashier lady is rude and seems to have an attitude the way she responds to customers. It made me not want order food from our first impression. I ordered the Chicken Taco salad & it was gross (See Pic). It's funny how everyone mentions the rude staff, but it's totally true.. the food is really tasty, but it doesn't come cheap. Paid over $14 for a burrito today. They still charge extra if you use a credit card, but the chips and salsa bar kind of make up for it. They would be a 5 star if they could at least pretend they want you to eat there. read more

The Rolled Tacos were cooked perfectly and were very tasty. Macho's also has some of the best home made Salsa's. Two Reds & and two Green Salsa's. The food is great but don't come here looking for a service experience. They act like they don't want your business and are very grouchy.

They refused to take a phone order 20 minutes before closing. The lady kept the phone off the hook for 2 minutes and I could hear her, then she hung it up. Then she hung up on me twice more. 13 minutes before closing, their lights were turned off and the door was locked. I wonder what the owner thinks of the workers being so lazy. Update: embarrassing mistakes on their end such as putting beans about a quarter into a California burrito - which aren't supposed to be there in the first place - then stopping LOL or somehow mixing up an Adobada burrito with a Cali Surf and Turf. Both people serving behind the counter were very stuck up and rude. And worst yet the food was super salty and cold. I asked for a refund after my first bite and they both laughed and rejected my complaint. It's in a shopping center so there's a lot of parking and it gets pretty busy here so that was my first sign the food must be good. Apparently the owners can care less about reviews about the lady at the front counter. I ordered food today 9-7-2020 at 2:00PM. This should narrow it down for the owner/manager! She was extremely rude and short on the phone. I asked for extra red and green salsa. She said nothing other than my order number. Went in to pick up food order. I tried handing her my credit card and she pointed down to a table in front which had a credit card reader, and said nothing. I paid she handed me my bag. Looked inside and had 3 tiny red salsas. No green salsas inside as I requested on the phone. I ordered 2 different combo plates! Come one 3 tiny salsas? I asked for green salsa and she said nothing, grabbed 3 tiny green salsas and put them in my back and then turned her back on me. I thought I should write a review on Yelp. When I checked, what do you know? Other recent Yelpers had a similar experience. Its obvious the owner doesnt check Yelp reviews or doesnt care. The food is 5 stars. The service/counter help is 2 stars. I live in the area and have been eating here for 15+ years. I have many choices for Mexican food in the area. I will not go to Machos again until the service is addressed. Until then I am going to Mananas in the Vons shopping center at Avocado and Chase. Friendly staff and quality food. Machos used to be a great place to get quick Mexican food. The last year when it went to strictly takeout the food is the worst food Ive had the displeasure of experienceing anywhere!! This is not a one off it happened over a half a dozen times. I went because,I wanted to believe it was an isolated experience-It wasnt. The girl at the counter was a "puta" 6 out of 6 times I went there. Food was horrible and the girl was rude and seemed angry to be there and was reflected by her "i hate you vibe!
