Came here around 8:15 and ordered 3 rolled tacos. Didn't get greeted by the cashier. When I told her I needed a little bag for my carrots she denied me and said that they don't give out bags- clearly a lie. How else are people suppose to take things to go. I have passed by this taco shop a million times but I had no idea how good it was!! I ordered a taco salad with grilled chicken and my boyfriend ordered the carne asada plate. Both dishes were presented well and I was shocked at how my taco salad came out. It was a giant shell and inside of that shell was all of the ingredients- beans, guac, sour cream, lettuce, chicken. It was super tasty, except my shell tasted like cleaning soap, it was bizarre. I wouldn't order the salad with the shell again. The fries were good as well, except I tasted a lot of chewy fat on the meat. Pricing was reasonable.... 3.5 stars Service was good. I stopped by this place on my way home from work to pick up some dinner. I ordered the chicken fajita burrito. It took a while for my food to come out but when it did I was a happy camper. My burrito was larger stuffed with chicken, peppers, onions, and tomatoes. The best part about it was that it was very tasty with just the right amount of seasonings. I had the fish taco combination platter. First off, the fish tacos were sooo good! They didn't just throw chopped tomatoes on top either. We used to really like this place but tonight's food was not good. To start with the good, the carne Asada burrito, street tacos and carne Asada nachos are good along with their chips & salsa. But, the beef taco was really bad, meat was an odd consistency and squished flat. The cheese enchilada was horrible and the sauce had cinnamon in it. I like eating here the food is pretty good just like most taco shops. This place has a salsa bar, I really like that because most places you gotta ask for the salsa. They do close pretty early for a taco shop, I live up the street from here, when I am hungry late night I gotta go to saritas off of campo. Their burritos are good, the avocados are fresh. I usually eat my burritos open... I'm weird. The cashier is not as friendly as other taco shops around this area. There is usually a guy standing near the cashier making something, he never said hello or smiled to me lol I used to go here a lot since I live up the street. Food is ok. I'm more concerned about their customer service. Been there 3-4 times now and the girls upfront always look irritable and it's confirmed when they start talking. My husband and I have played rock, paper, scissors just to avoid being the one to go inside and interact with the staff. It's sucks that this is the only Mexican food spot near us. My favorite part about the California burrito besides throwing it away is the tortilla. Worst California burritos. I yet to find a place better than saritas this place doesn't compare when it comes to burrito quality. Okay food. Good chip bar. I've tested this places California burrito multiple times since I was a kid cause I've lived in the area my whole life (24yrs old now). The meat here is always fatty and chewy. If you like that cool but I don't care to chew on rubber that's coated with low quality cheese with a super strong cheddar taste and watery sour cream. Tortilla was good tho. Sometimes the meat in the rolled tacos taste like the smell of wet dog or something. So I was bored and looking to fill some time and wanted to catch a little bite to eat, so I figured I'd try the tacos here. I ordered one fish and one carne taco, so I could have a decent sample of their menu. After a quick turn around, I had learned that maybe my order was a TAD underestimated. These tacos are MASSIVE! I got halfway through the fish taco before having complete buyers remorse and tapped out before even finishing it. With that been said the fish was fried just right and served nice an hot (in picky about this detail with fish tacos). Towards the end it started to get a little fishy, but again, probably because i was starting to get full. I'll have to try the carne taco at home for dinner, because I couldn't get to it. I ordered the Bean and Rice Burrito and headed to the chips and salsa bar. My burrito came out before I got to my table. Hot. Fresh. Seriously - just beans - just rice - huge, and delicious! The chips, as much, or as few, as you wanted were thick and crunchy. The various salsas were delightful and the flavors all marinated beautifully.
