I used to LOVE this restaurant but the service I received today was horrible. Our order was placed for a full hour before we received food, with half our order forgotten and then another 30 minutes late. When we sat down there was no host for at least 20 mins to ask about waters or drinks. This was a disappointing experience, especially for the fact that the restaurant was not busy and there were many staff members working. read more

After braving a flight with our infant and two other couples with babies, we stopped here for a much needed beer and slice of pizza. MacKenzie did not disappoint. The IPAs were hoppy and strong. The Margarita pizza flavorful and delicious (nice thin crust; not even mildly greasy). Exceptionally attentive and kind service. Recommended! great pizza!! the regular crust is very thick and fluffy which i thought made it really good but if you don't like thick crust than ask for the thin crust pizza. They also had gluten free pizza which was also really good. I had been to another location before so as soon as i saw this one i knew we had to eat there. Great food !! We had the Italian Ziti - Sedona pizza and Chicken Alfredo with Penne. All three meals were yummy! Quick on the food service initially and then our waitress disappeared !! Frustrating when you can not get something to drink while you eat your meal. Their Huckleberry Lemonade was great - not too sweet and for desert we had the cheese cake !! read more

Made me wear a mask to pick up a called in to go order. As I was paying and waiting I noticed two kitchen staff not wearing masks. I brought it to the attention of the staffer working with me, she shrugged. I asked for a manager none to be found. HORRIBLE. I have been eating here for well over 13 years. My friends in high school used to be waitresses. Never have I EVER experienced as bad customer service and wait staff as I have in the last two years. My 3 year old child was 1st degree burned by a waitress without so much as an apology. But don't worry, the manager brought a bag of ice. My father who is mostly deaf in one ear went there for a quiet family dinner... halfway thru as the ONLY table in there, they cranked the 90s rock hits so high us regular hearing people couldn't hear each other talk. Used to love going to this place. Not sure if it's the new location with a new cook or what's going on but my most recent experience here was terrible. Wings were burnt to a crisp, and had almost no sauce on them. The pizza wasn't much better (we just got pepperoni & Hawaiian - pretty basic). The other people I was with agreed that these were the worst wings they have ever had. Super disappointed in this experience and now I unfortunately will not be back. read more

I was going to give this place a pass after an awful take and bake pizza. Then I went yesterday and ordered a veggie wrap. It was dry and tasteless. The few vegetables that were on it were stale and the sprouts were slimy. Now today I feel sick. Hoping it's not food poisoning. Passing through town on road trip. Have eaten at MacKENZIE dozens of times over the years, but just the ones in Missoula and Bozeman. The server was nice but it took almost an hour to get our kids pizza and 10 more min for our 2 sandwiches. Ridiculously slow. Not what it used to be. When this chain first opened in Bozeman, the dining experience was really unique and made it a destination restaurant to go to. Now, it's pretty much like any other restaurant, and the staff is nothing to brag about. During our last few visits, our waiters/waitresses seemed pretty uninterested in their job or providing an experience. They were pretty mechanical and didn't have much of a personality. The food is always good, however. The menu is pretty unique with varying options for all tastes. Decent prices, as well. read more

I have to give them props on their food and portion size. However, the service is always below par when I go there. It usually takes a while, and the servers always act like they are in the middle of chaos. I went there with family about a month ago and obviously a new person took our order because she knew nothing about the menu. Which I can be patient with, but when they argue about what it clearly says on the menu its frustrating. We waited a good half hour for our food, after me going up to the counter to ask about it, it was just going to be 13 more minutes. I will continue to give them a shot though. read more

It tasted like glue! The texture was awful!! The other pizza we ordered was a regular crust Rancher. It was better than the gluten free, but still just so so! Worst meal I've had in Belgrade! My moms Pasta was over cooked and too salty to eat. She sent it back something she has never done in her life. My Willow creak sandwich was ok. Just passing through Bozeman and though previous reviews were not good, we tried it on a Wednesday at 7:30 pm. It was excellent. Their pizzas are very good. Some are kind of a strange combinations but to each their own. I think they're a little pricey.

Very dissatisfied with takeout service and quality. I am a long time customer and lover of Mackenzie River pizza, but this experience was horrific. I called in an order for pick up and was told it would take an hour. That was fine, given it was a Saturday night, but when my husband got home they had given him the wrong order. I called and said We would return the wrong order since it took so long and I'm sure the other customer didn't want to wait another hour for their order. They told us just to keep the order (probably because of Covid) and that they still had our order and to come back and pick it up. When my husband got there for the right order they insisted he pay again for our order. We already paid for the wrong order. He explained to the manager that we offered to bring back the other order and we were told just to keep it, but they insisted we pay again and he didn't want to make a scene so he paid it. This is not even the worst part. He got home with the correct order (obviously cold by now) and when I was about five bites into my wedge salad I noticed a brown grainy "blob" on a piece of lettuce. Upon further inspection it was clear that the lettuce was not even rinsed and there was bug poop or mud all over the salad. So I'm heart broken to report I will never return to Mackenzie River Pizza in Belgrade, and probably not the other locations as I'm seriously disgusted. I never give bad reviews, especially since restaurants are suffering during the pandemic, but this is just unacceptable. read more
