Hot lemon pepper wings

I've ordered here a few times. The food is hot and you also get great portion sizes.

Miami Whitefish meal

I ordered a Miami Whitefish meal. The fish was not the most visually appealing, but the flavor was there. The fish was perfectly seasoned, and had a nice crunch. The fries were also perfectly seasoned. This meal would have been perfect if the fish didn't look so bad. You know what they say... You eat with your eyes first...

I usually call my order in but the last few times it's been a hella long wait even when I call it in but other than that the food is always plentiful and good. My first time getting a salad and it was bussin

Quarter pound burger

Food was amazing. This burger was spot on and I look forward to going back. Had everything I was looking for in a burger. Sometimes you have to put more condiments on a burger to cover it up, but not here.

10 piece Chicken wings with lemon pepper sauce and ranch on the side with huge side of fried okra cooked to perfection!

Excellent dining experience! Wings and okra were fried to perfection! I will be back frequently! Friendly, clean, A rating, appreciative of my business! Thank you!!

Ordered 20 wings, crispy & all flat. Took them 28 minutes to try to give me regular cooked. I said no, cook them more. Another 22 minutes later & still no wings. Asked for refund. Got pushback. Tried to give me another batch - not all flat & wrong flavor. Asked for a refund. Got back in my car at 56 minutes since I placed my order & sat to wait.

This is surprisingly some of the best wings in the area. It was a spontaneous run and very pleasing to the palate. The best part about the wings is the fact they didn't look as if they had been on steroids . The food tasted fresh and not as if it had been sitting under a hot light . I was shocked at how quickly they were ready after ordering 20 wings. They were ready in 5 minutes. I'm not sure if how fast they were ready had anything to do with it being new years eve. They were probably expecting to be very busy tonight. I don't know. Like some reviewers have stated the lemon pepper wings were delicious. I wouldn't ask for extra pepper. They were seasoned just perfectly. The hubby and I also tried the buffalo wings and a small side of fries. The fries were golden brown and the seasoning was ok. I could have gone a bit lighter on the seasoning. That's because I'm health conscious. I don't eat chicken often, but when I do, I prefer it to be small and tasty like MacLand Wings. I didn't have any customer service issues. I called before I came and I surprised that someone answered the phone. Only because I expected it to be terribly busy and no one would answer the phone. It was well lit, like QT gas. The place has the appearance of a normal wing type place. There was booth seating and it appeared as most customers called in their order, because they were walking out with large aluminum pans. The next time I have a craving for wings...which will be a long time. I'll return to this spot. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Go ahead and try it, send me a message and tell me what you thought.

We Like!!! Refreshing to find a wing spot so close to the house, Macland Wings and More will be my new spot. It's your typical wing spot. Decently priced food and friendly services.

I always get great wings at this place - always. I go there at least once a month, and really enjoy several flavors of their wings.

Locally owned and operated My favorite is the buffalo chicken and ranch Sandwich Tender, juicy fried chicken with buffalo sauce and ranch. If you've lived here for a while like I have (over a decade), you know that unique dining experiences are few and far between. So imagine my surprise when I realized... it's a food truck. Now, full credit to the owner--winning Best of Cobb 2024 is no small feat. But here's the thing: when people aren't familiar with authentic Nashville hot chicken, they tend to accept what's available. And what's available here? It's good--definitely different for the area--but it's not great. Not by Nashville standards. The food took a while to come out, which raised eyebrows since there was no line and no orders ahead of us. I'd be curious to see how long the wait is during a rush. As for the heat? I asked for the hottest thing on the menu. Took a bite, waited for the burn... nothing. I think the owner was watching because about a minute later, he ran over asking, "How is it? Is it hot? Is it good?" I smiled and nodded. But truthfully? Nah. Not hot. Maybe for some it would be, but not for me. The owner was super proud--and rightfully so. This is his craft, and again, it wasn't bad. But between the price, portion size, and lack of that signature Nashville kick, I'd say it's a "try once" experience. I'd recommend it for the curiosity, but I personally wouldn't return. There are better Nashville hot chicken options out there--both in heat and value.

Nestled in a strip mall right outside of downtown Powder Springs sits Havana Haven. For those of us…read morewho used to go to Copa Cabana prior to closing this was a much welcome lounge. We decided to stop by for lunch and we were the only customers there. The restaurant seems to have taken on some Caribbean flair, with a photo area adorned with fake flowers, a bar that was barely stocked, a DJ area without a real dance floor and ViP area that if you have a mobile disability you probably won't be able to get to. The manager on duty was Cassandra and she was very nice and the music playing was very tropical. The ambiance was nice, then we were given the menus. The word Havana implies that it would have traditional Cuban foods, not sure if they consulted a Cuban or even competent Caribbean chef. Perhaps the drinks are good but I will the food left much to be desired. My husband ordered the nachos and the chips were store bought and extremely salty, combine with the canned cheese and the unseasoned meat it was not very good at all. In fact my husband took three bites and he couldn't eat anymore. It was beyond salty and inedible. My daughter ordered the empanadas. On the menu pictured it says empanadas, hence leading one to believe that it would be more than one. However, the empanadas meant one and somehow or another, you the customer are left to figure this out when one empanada arrives on a bed of Lettuce. She also ordered the steak tostones cups which were overpowered with the guacamole. My daughter loves guacamole but the ratio guacamole to steak was too much and the two half strips of steak were not enough to balance out the flavor. I had the hibachi, the steak arrived so badly burnt that it curled up and the charred pieces of steak were inedible. The vegetables surrounding the little bowl of burnt rice were ok so I happily ate that. My husband who never complains asked our very sweet waitress if she could get the manager. After he went through the issues with the food, she was extremely open to the issues and explained they are in the process of tweaking some things. I expressed I would happily pay for the veggies that I ate and the empanada that my daughter ate and the tostones as she ate two of the three sharing the second. The manager then took our full plates away. We were a little taken aback to get the bill of 50% off when we hadn't taken three full bites of the inedible food. I wish this business success however, maybe the chef is new as well. We will not be returning to eat, perhaps the drinks are good because the ambiance seems nice and the music was amazing.

Just like my previous review, I'm going to TRY to be brief just in case my review gets filtered…read more (When I create a business entry AND I'm the first to review, Yelp tends to filter my review.) Interior / Exterior They're located in Powder Springs on that street I call 'restaurant row' right before you get to downtown Powder Springs proper. They're in the space formerly occupied by Los Portales Mexican Restaurant, and more recently SAC Burger. The interior space open and clean, but very dark (appropriate for a lounge - lol). The parking lot is big, but it's a bit tight. Customer Service The server / bartender was SOOO friendly. I love that she welcomed me the moment I crossed the threshold and thanked me for coming in. She hit me with a big, beautiful smile during her welcome and she was pleasant and upbeat during our entire interaction. Note to all bar and lounge owners: Beautiful bartenders area easy to find. But beautiful bartenders who are pleasant and engaging (versus the ones who act irritated and snarky with guests) should be cherished. They can make or break your business. Lol. I also loved that she knew the menu and was able to answer all my questions and provide recommendations. I checked my receipt later and it says her name was Michaela. Price Value I thought the prices were fair. Everything is so expensive nowadays, but these guys had some burger combos for $12 and under. Food I decided to play it safe and ordered the chicken sandwich. They didn't have a grilled chicken option, so I went with the fried, non-spicy filet. It comes with fries. I deliberately didn't take a photo because they do that 'new' thing where they put the lettuce and tomato BELOW the protein, which traps the heat, so by the time I got home with my food, my lettuce and tomato looked pretty sad. Note to all kitchens - when you put hot meat on top of any produce, it pretty much cooks the produce. Produce is best just placed off to the side. And if it's a sandwich with hot melted cheese, put the top bun and the produce to the side. I did not want to do them a disservice by posting a photo like that (limp, droopy wilted lettuce and mushy hot tomatoes). The chicken filet on my sandwich was tasty. It was seasoned well, pounded thin and hand-breaded. I tried a few of my fries before I left and they were very greasy, as though they were dropped before the oil reached the correct temperature. The fries are not plain, they're slightly battered, so I wasn't to heart-broken because I don't really dig battered fries anyway. They have a pretty diverse menu. The website doesn't show the full menu. I didn't have my phone with me, so I wasn't able to snap a photo of the menu. Also - they don't have take-away menus. They use eco-friendly, sani-friendly QRC's instead. The server explained that it's a Cuban American fusion vibe. They have sandwiches, burgers (including a Salmon burger and the Impossible burger), but they also have wings, tostones, panins, nachos, tacos, hibachi bowls and pasta. They even have soup! I checked out their website and I will DEFINITELY go back to try the hibachi bowl and a margarita. I like the fact that they have options like garden burgers and sides like steamed broccoli. Other Right now, they're only open Thu - Sun from 11am to midnight. Kitchen closes at 11pm. And they're open until 2am on Fri and Sat. Kitchen closes at 1am. They are a no smoking facility. Yay. And they will have karaoke in upcoming months. Definitely think everyone should check them out.
