If there was a 10 star rating, I could have used all 10 stars to describe how terrific our experience with Macomb Water Heater was! Macomb Water Heater is very customer-friendly. Chris came out the next day wearing a mask and gloves, and even took his shoes off at the door for me. There was NO charge for him to take a look at my faucet and give me his opinion on several cost-effective options for replacement. (Hoover in Clinton Twp charged me $60 just to step foot into my house and tell me it would be $7-800 just to replace a simple, basic faucet!! What a rip off!!) Chris told me the total cost would be $150, where to find the best faucet for the least amount of money. I bought one and Chris came back the same day and installed it; no extra fee for doing that either. He showed us how to clean the screen to make it last longer and function better and answered all of our questions. The total price was hundreds less than any other plumber I had called. I called them and they asked me to take a picture of my existing water heater. I text them and then answered me immediately right back. They went and bought and installed within 2 hours of me calling them. A couple of hours later I called them to tell them it was leaking. They came back within 1/2 hour and called the Mfg and had it replaced. They were back at 7:45 am the next morning to replace it again because I mentioned that I was leaving that day to go on vacation. Chris was one of the nicest guys you can work with. The entire company was outstanding. They are extremely nice and prompt and they know what they are doing. The pricing was very fair but so very impressed with their honesty and because I actually got a water heater that had a bad ignition switch, Christ made sure he got the water heater replaced. Just had a new water heater installed by Macomb Water Heater (Interstar, Inc.). Ivan, the technician, did the installation. He was very professional and efficient. He had the old one out and new one in in less than 2 hours. The other impressive thing about this company was even after the Thanksgiving week-end, after so many customer calls needing their services, we called them after 2 PM Monday afternoon for an estimate and they were able to install the same day, actually within the next hour and a half. We had an appointment with another company at noon (same Monday) and as we were pulling in the driveway, a Macomb Water Heater truck was in a neighbor's driveway a few houses down. We jotted their information down just in case things didn't work out with the other company. Good thing we did because the other company was $300 plus more and the earliest they could install would have been Friday. We would have to go 4 more days without hot water. What a great company to work with! My water heater broke down and started leaking last week - I noticed the leak in the morning on Thursday. I called Macomb Water Heater to replace my water heater and the installer replaced my water heater that same afternoon. I got to spend some time with the installer and was impressed with his excellent craftsmanship - everything was well aligned/tight and the installer welded all coper pipe (the right way to do) instead of using plumbing quick connect attachments, which could leak. I was very happy that everything was installed the right way. The installer cleaned up everything after he was done with the job. Their quote was also on the lower end of quotes compared to other quotes from plumbers in the area. I would highly recommend this company to my friends and family! We were very impressed with this company from the first initial phone call. My husband inquired on a price for our current model water heater that he seen on their web page the price honored..no hidden fees. What was quoted was what we paid. They called 2 days before to confirm our scheduled appointment and on the day of appointment (12/30/19) they called and let me know that Chris would be coming out and what time he would arrive. Chris was on time, a very nice and a professional young man explained everything he would be doing. I had to leave while he was here and he explained everything in detail about our new hot water tank to my son after he completed the job. He had our old tank out and new one put in within 2 hrs. I called Macomb Water Heater after reading great reviews, and within the hour Ivan arrived and inspected the leak. A 10/10 for professionalism, understanding, cost, and for overall taking the burden and leaving me worry-free. Not to mention I was quoted a pretty phenomenal price! The option was given to me to do a same-day installation, however I decided to schedule the installation of a new water heater for the next morning. When my water heater died I took my time & got a few different estimates. Macomb Water Heater was the lowest by almost $300. They gave me an instant estimate through the chat option on their website (super fast & easy) & assured me it was an out the door price. When I scheduled the install, Chris arrived exactly when he said he would. He put in the new water heater, changed 2 shutoff valves & replaced the venting all in about 2 hours. Nothing extra was charged for the valves & vents. Some places will nickel & dime you for every additional issue they encounter. Chris patiently answered all of (my many) questions & hauled away the old heater & all the packaging when he was done. This place really has it together. These guys awesome. They understand that when your water heater goes, it's always an emergency situation. They did not charge a fee to come to my home and they are honest, cost effective and efficient. Ivan came on Friday and offered to install the same day, but since I had to go to work, I scheduled for Saturday morning. Ivan showed up on time, installed the new unit and we had hot water before noon. Price-wise, no one can beat them. Their price for a 50 gallon Rheem unit including installation was $890 ($790 for a 40 gallon, but I upgraded). Roto Rooter previously quoted me a price of $1,500 after charging me $40 to have some clown show up and tell me that replacement was needed. My water heater stated leaking and I knew that this means a new one is needed. I contacted Macomb Water Heater around 2:30 pm asking them if they can help me in getting a new one. After I told them what capacity water heater I want and how many years of warranty they sent Paul to my house to inspect the old one and install the new one. At 6:30 pm of the same day the new heater was running and hot water going through the pipes in the house. Paul was as professional, through, knowledgeable with excellent communication skills. I could'nt believe how fast they got my hot water tank done. Chris did a great job on the installation. We had an emergency installation as our 14 year old water heater was leaking and not working. I called Macomb Water Heater and they had their installer to our condo within 90 minutes. Our installer - Chris - was fantastic. He looked over our situation, informed me that some of the connections had to be brought up to code from the last install. He had eveything done in about 3 hours. We now have a brand new Rheem water heater. Chris cleaned everything up and hauled away the old tank. Our water heater had cold water on Dec 21 evening. Did some water heater shopping on Saturday Dec 22, 2018 and called Macomb Water Heater at about 2:30 PM. They had a very competitive price even for my custom 12-year warranty one, while other major hardware stores had it for special order and at a higher price. They had an opening from 4-7 PM that same day and the plumber (Chris) arrived at 4:30 PM with the 12-year warranty water heater. The plumber was very professional, knowledgeable, very clean, and finished the installation within 1-1/2 hours. I called Macomb Water Heater around 10am (11/25/2019) and Chris showed up 2 hs later to replace my old water heater. Very friendly and knowledgeable guy! The service was done properly, he took care of all small details in the installation, very neat and clean results. The whole job was done in one hour. It wasn't "in and out" service because some pipes had to be cut to adjust to the new height of a slightly bigger tank. In the end he gave me tips about how that specific water heater model works, took all the cardboard and the old water heater with him. I'm really glad with the quality and speed of the service. I reached out on line Saturday to scheduled for a new water heater based on the web page price of $790.00 for a 40 gallon unit - there was no listing for either gas or electric on the page. When I was called to confirm the rep stated that the price was for an electric unit and the gas price would be $1175. We worked through this issue to my satisfaction. I was called by my rep that the installer was on the way Sunday afternoon as expected and the installer, Patt, was courteous and professional the entire job. I am very satisfied with Macomb Water heater (Interstar) service for my recent water heater change. A google link allowed me to text a representative on a Sunday evening, and after sending pics of my current heater, gave me options via text. They beat out Home Depot by $500 and Randazzo by $700. Next day , Patt showed up on time during the planned time ( which I had to change at 1000 pm the night before ! Talk about great service ) and did a wonderful job without any problems at all. My experience with Macomb Water Heater was excellent. My heater begin to lose temperature each cycle. The temp of the water was Luke warm. Not having hot water for daily use is no fun as we all know. The most impressive feature about Macomb Water Heater is availability. They come when you really need them. Professionalism is at its highest. Quality work to perfection. Integrity is at the utmost. Estimated time of repair is dead on, give or take a few minutes. Technician was very organized to include equipment.
