My contractor subcontracted a micro cement install and the people he hired did not do a good job…read more They left the job with uneven spots, micro cement all over my walls, and the sealer had already yellowed and was showing through. The situation was disappointing and frustrating to say the least, so I took matters into my own hands and called LA Concrete Works to see if they can fix the job for me. After reviewing the job and settling on a final start date, I could already see that this team was exceptional at what they do. Joe was communicative, ready to answer any question, and very lovely to work with - he is very detailed and came to visit the site often despite their busy schedule. Sydney at the main office was so understanding and a rockstar at keeping me up to date on the plan of action. Luis, Jose, and the install team were courteous, neat, and most of all extremely competent - they know what they are doing and they do it really well. In the end, I got the exact floor I wanted and was able to work with a team who listened to my needs and made sure I was happy with the work. LA Concrete Works is who you call when you want the job done professionally and with the upmost care.

The first person I spoke with made a strong, positive impression, professional, warm, and confident they could handle my project. I sent the requested photos and received confirmation they were received, and was told I'd hear from S., the project manager, within a specific time frame. After that, I never heard back, no call, email, or text. It's a shame, because it sounds like the quality of their work is good, but their lack of communication left me no choice but to hire another contractor.

I am SO IMPRESSED with this company. We have high expectations from vendors, and this one exceeded…read moreours. We had pavers on our back patio. We took our some cabinets, and needed to fill in a large section of pavers. We needed it to match and look as seamless as possible. I had doubts as to whether this could be done at all. They took extra pavers we already had- that we had stored poorly and they were very weathered and dirty, and other companies said couldn't be used. (The specific pavers are no longer are in production though) Cement Kings used these, cleaned them thoroughly with special solution, cut them to fit, and did it in such a way that it didn't look like a block had been replaced. We had also had them re-sand and re-seal the entire patio of pavers. It looks fantastic. They moved all of our heavy furniture out of the way, and later put it all back neatly, even taking care to dust it off. So reliable, professional, easy to work with, and willing to go above and beyond. Also the "Cement King" is so nice - even welcomed my curious little observer to "help" him (see photo!). And besides that, their pricing was definitely by far the best out of many quotes we got. And for the BEST SERVICE. Highly recommend!!!

Our experience with DiBara Masonry was extremely disappointing…read more We initially met with Matt to review the plans for our project. He was knowledgeable, professional, and conveyed significant industry experience. We were then introduced to the sales team, who described the project as straightforward and estimated that the work could be completed within 6-8 weeks based on plans that had already been approved by the city. Instead, the project extended to approximately seven months and was marked by persistent communication issues, poor coordination among team members, inadequate project management, and a lack of consistent oversight. After the contract was signed, both Matt and our sales representative became largely unavailable. We were assigned a project manager who was unfamiliar with the approved plans and frequently required clarification on basic project details. When we raised concerns with our sales representative, we were told that project-related issues were outside his responsibility, and we were not directed to anyone else who could effectively address them. Partway through the project, the company hired a new Director of Operations who assured us that existing issues would be resolved and the project would be brought back on track. Unfortunately, communication remained inconsistent, calls and messages often went unanswered, and there were periods of multiple weeks when no work was performed on site. A significant issue throughout the project was the apparent lack of communication between departments. Sales, project managers, foremen, office staff, and accounting frequently appeared to be operating independently, resulting in repeated miscommunications, conflicting information, and a constant stream of redundant calls, texts, and emails. As a customer, it often felt as though we were responsible for relaying information between members of their own team. One (of many) examples: we scheduled a walk through prior to making our final payment. A week later the accounting team threatened to put a mechanic's lien on our house because we hadn't paid yet. Apparently no one was talking to each other within their office. The company also relied on a long succession of subcontractors. In our experience, many arrived on site without a clear understanding of the scope of work and without access to the approved plans. This led to confusion, delays, and avoidable mistakes. Most concerning were incidents that appeared to result directly from lack of oversight. Work performed by the team caused significant damage to our sewer line. On another occasion, concrete was scheduled to be poured over exposed electrical lines that had not yet been reconnected, a situation that could have created serious complications had it not been identified beforehand. We made several attempts to speak directly with Matt regarding our concerns about project quality, management, and coordination. However, we were repeatedly told that he was unavailable or booked weeks in advance, and we were never able to have a meaningful discussion about the issues affecting our project. Based on our experience, the company presented a far different level of organization and oversight during the sales process than what was ultimately delivered once construction began.
