I have to say this mall location has improved a lot over the last years. I feel like it's a more thriving place lately. Tonight as I was shopping for fragrances at Macy's I was pleasantly impressed by the customer service in both women's and men's fragrances. Despite the fact that it was late on a Friday night the associates were friendly and helpful. Ashley in Women's Fragrances is THE best! She really has her customers in mind and offered great assitance during my visit. She was very knowledgble about the fragrances sold in-store and offered awesome recommendations based on what I explained I was looking for. In the men's department I was helped out by William who also displayed an awesome attitude towards the customer and a willingness to help. It greatly makes a difference when the store environment is welcoming and service is available. Sales associates who offer awesome customer experiences are the magic of Macy's! However, I was sadly disappointed by how difficult it was to get a hold of a manager. No matter how busy managers may be , it is a bit of an expectation that at a large department store like Macy's at least one manager can be available on-call when needed. I really hope they improve this in the future. read more

So I ordered this Monroe Upholstered Queen size bed online from Macy's. When you order online you have to pay an additional $99.00 for the white glove delivery service. When they arrived I was told 1/2 hour and your bed would be up. Great! Then to my surprise I was informed that the unopened box above came with two of the same pieces that would stop them from putting the bed together. Then I was told no worries ma'am we have the same bed in the truck we will just swap that piece out. Then I was told the other bed is a lighter grey and they can't put it up. So we call Customer service where we encounter the rudest rep by the name of Bre. then Bre says you will have it within 24 hours. so I call back and speak to a Wayne. The process is that they send an email to the warehouse and they get a response In 24 to 48 hours and he offered me $25.00 for my inconvenience. So I call back today and was told that they will be out Sunday and I said when were you going to tell me that.I said let me talk to a supervisor and then he got on the phone Michael C said the same thing I said that is not good for me. This Macy's is a dump and that's unfortunate because back when I was a wee tot in my school years, this Macy's seemed so cool! They have many of the luxury brands and cosmetics you'd normally find, but I am so sick of coming here and dealing with crappy, unprofessional service. Over the summer, I purchased a wedding gift for my friend and I was in line for an hour. The other registers were no better. "Price Check" machines are busted all over the first floor. This morning I was getting a lot of grief over a tagless return. It was a gift, little help there. One other complaint - this mall is not ghetto. The people who shop here are not ghetto. It's the freaking employees of this store that have no pride in their work or their service, hence this review. They can't even keep their corner in handbags appealing or the floor in Women's neat. I'm real tired of blanket statements that make Plaza West Covina look like a place where heathens hang out. Not the case. There's a lot of hard working folks that come here to enjoy simple splurges every now and then for themselves and their families. The store has poor inventory and I would say overall the buyers for Macy's brands are off their game. I would say 70-80% of the clothes here are an insult to the women who browse the clothes: garish prints, off cuts, and bad polyester fabrics. Unless you are willing to spend $$$ and spend time really looking like you're at a garage sale, you'll of course find something good. But who has that kind of time? Return exchange policy sucks. I mean some issues occur where we can not come back right away to get an exchange, such as being stuck in the hospital or not living within driving distance of the store. Sure this place is great when you purchase things, but when you come back to get special help on one of your previous purchases they shun you like a red headed stepchild. This review is about the overall phone service at this particular Macy's. Simply, it's HORRIBLE. The first time I called it took forever to get a hold of someone and when I did, they hung up after "transferring me". The second time I called I was already annoyed but I called again because I really needed a certain product, but the lady that I spoke to "put me on hold for a minute".. This Macy's, unlike the one in Arcadia, does have a MAC counter. We typically don't come to Macy's to buy things. And our record held true. We came her to return a Christmas presents the Miss got over the holiday. The presents were nice, regrettably, the Miss already had a duplicate of said items. The store seemed understaffed and we were perplexed as where to stand in line to await for service. The awaiting for service part felt like a dating club scene than an organized store experience. I went into macys the other day looking for a stick foundation and came across Naysin who introduced me to the urban decay stay naked foundation which is so amazing that im impressed. She was sweet enough to give me a sample and I wore it out the other day and was shocked when it looked just like my skin because I had never had a foundation like that before! It is medium coverage but its buildable and i built that thang up! Wasnt cakey, wasnt too hard on my skin, it was just so beautiful with a matte finish. Meh. I have no idea why this Macy's has 3 5-star reviews. It's a Macy's. Yeah, it has stuff to buy! Sometimes for cheap! But I gotta say, the sales people here are meh. I came in to get some stuff at the MAC counter. Now, I know it's a crazy place to try to retrieve a couple of things from the perpetually busy counter. Hell, it's so busy they even have a stand-alone counter in the middle of the mall. I waited a good 10 minutes before someone acknowledged me. And then another 15 as someone helped someone with their foundation. Then finally just as she was about to help me, another make up artist said she'd help me. Meanwhile, I wonder how come the others never acknowledged me. I swear, I'm going to buy something! Even though I came in without a speck of make up on. Anyway, I named the two items I wanted. But not so fast, I want you to show me what you can do with 'em. Boring. I could have came up with something cooler in 5 minutes. I was very specific that I don't do natural looks. Give me the best you got! But she was nice enough..though strangely smelling of fart. Yeah, no kidding. Oh well, I have my two goodies and that is what counts, right? I grumble because there were no offers of samples, just more pressure to buy the things I didn't want or need. Clothes- decent selection of juniors and women's. Shoes- madhouse! Service here is absolutely horrible and I am particularly speaking about the make up counters, with the exception of a couple experiences that went well. Usually when I want to sample a make up product, I expect the associate to remove my make up so they can put the one I want to sample. This way I can clearly see how it looks. Instead, they just put it over my make up and I end up looking like a clown and I can't even see the product! I end up walking out empty handed because I can't get a good look of the product. This review goes for Puente Hills mall so ill paste the same one. I am so disappointed with this service. I will gladly purchase from these locations if they improve customer service. Ruby's rockin it, in the shoe dept. I have always got the best customer service at this Macy's. She patiently assisted me in getting all the shoes I wanted to try on with a friendly attitude and smile. I also bought Make-up at Mac and the sales associates listened to exactly what I'm looking for and paired the perfect lip gloss for my pout. I wanted industrial strength Vegas smear proof eyeliner and she gathered my must haves for my trip and I was a happy camper. There's a side make up station south of the Mac area, and a very lovely girl, I didn't get her name unfortunately. She expertly helped me pick out a Tarte foundation that was perfectly suited for my tone and hydrating that softens the fine lines.
