For my drink, I took the chocolate old fashioned (13 dollars). It was strong enough and chocolatly to enjoy. For my main plate, I chose the chicken wings (10 for 17 dollars), half fat rabbit sauce (quite garlicky) and other half siracha. While the wings were not breaded, they were still fried. It was definitely crispy, but still meaty and tender. The sauces were flavorful, and the siracha had the right amount of heat. The ranch dressing was homemade and so good, I ended up drinking it. There could have been more celery, but it was fresh and crispy. They only had one dessert, and unfortunately it wasn't homemade, so I passed. My bartender was friendly, but busy. She had a helper, but lots of patrons to serve. Yet, she was still very nice and helpful when needed. The vibe is social and casual. I would have thought they would have more USF students, but mostly locals who are enjoying a good atmosphere. Outdoor seating is available as well, and it looks like you can bring your pooch too. When it was time to check out and pay, I noticed they forgot to charge me for my drink. When I mentioned that, they told me not to worry about it. It was a very nice gesture from them. Parking here is easy as it is located in the Publix complex. There is also a Don Julio's and Bundt Cakes nearby for dessert too. The Fat Rabbit pub provides great casual bar food in a social atmosphere. The indoor dining is large enough to feel comfortable, and outdoor seating is also there if you want to enjoy with your dog. I visited today (Sunday) and it was pretty full but the workers were extremely efficient and got everyone's drinks and food out in a timely manner. The shop was cute and clean, full of boba drink art and plushies. I felt instant nostalgia sipping into my milk black tea with crystal pearl & regular boba that was topped with cheese milk foam. It tasted just like the one I remember getting and loving back home. I can also recommend the mango puree milk with boba for those who are just wanting a fruity boba drink sans the caffeine. As I was driving over, I received a call from the restaurant informing me that since they just opened that morning, the boba would not be ready for an hour, so I could either wait or switch to popping boba (I chose the latter). Also, the karaage is no longer on the menu, so could they switch to whole wings? Fine. The food was ready when I arrived. It was packaged in styrofoam, and the corners were NOT punched out, so by the time I got home, the chicken was no longer crispy. (Thankfully, I did sample a wing in the parking lot before I drove home, so I can say that the wings are crispy and delicious if eaten immediately.) I had ordered medium spice, and it was spicy! And I like spice! If you are not spice tolerant, go with mild or no spice. My lips are still feeling hot. I thought the food was good, not life changing. Pretty typical Americanized Chinese food plus wings. My matcha tea was on the sweet side and with not a lot of matcha flavor.
