i had a wonderful experience at bjs on father's day with a party of seven. i made a reservation beforehand for 11:30. the table was not ready when we arrived. i was offered bar seating or a high-top table right away however our party included small children, so that wasn't really an option for us. the food was delicious, and everyone in my party enjoyed their meal. i personally shared the santa fe salad with blackened chicken on the side and a burrata pizza, and both were excellent. the prices are a bit high for individual items, but the portions are very large. the santa fe salad was fantastic. the lettuce was crisp, and i appreciated having the option to get the dressing on the side. we were also able to keep the chicken on the side. the chicken had a great smoky flavor and was perfectly seasoned. the salad also included cheese, tortilla strips, and avocado. i also tried the burrata pizza; its a deep-dish style pizza with a thick, bread-like crust topped with fresh basil and burrata. it was absolutely delicious. although the slices look small its the thickness of the pizza that makes it incredibly filling. i was full after just one slice and was happy to take the rest home. dessert was another highlight. i really enjoyed the classic chocolate chunk pizookie. the warm cookie paired with vanilla ice cream is such a great combination. they also offer a lot of interesting flavors. i went with the classic this time and was very happy with it. service was a little on the slower side. it was father's day and they were extremely busy. everyone was friendly and the overall experience was very positive. there is plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. they also had a cute father's day keepsake pint glass with a special father's day design. read more

For the starter, I ordered nachos with guacamole and added tri-tip. I shared that amongst 3 people and we all loved it. For the main course, I ordered the newest thing on the menu which was Wagyu beef burger. It came with fries you can replace with something else, I got mash potatoes instead. But wow, the burger was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The waiter was so friendly and kept checking on us. First, the place is nice looking and the server was very nice. We did not wait long for our order. I got the fish/shrimp tacos and they were ok. I wouldn't get them again but they were ok. My husband got the beef dip sandwich, and it was nothing like the picture. Dry, brown, like the type of shaved beef you'd get at a sub shop. The menu picture showed medium cooked slices of beef on a roll. The reality was disappointing. We did mention our disappointment to the server, and we thought, like at most places, a manager would come out, but that didn't happen. Their booths had a nice setup so we felt separated from the booths around us for privacy. Service was also really quick, although we only ordered drinks and an appetizer. The drinks in question were both pomegranate margaritas, and they were strong yet tasty. The appetizer was none other than the fried Mac and cheese balls which were wonderful. Now, I've been to BJs a few times and I will day I don't love their deep dish pizzas. But as far as their pie-shaped offerings go, you can't go wrong with their pizookies. I mean? It's essentially their thing and they're oh so good! They give you free ones for signing up for their rewards, your birthday, pizookie month, etc. so get in on that if you can. We ordered great apps and drinks. Waitress was great! Meals came and I asked for the tip and ribs but got tip and chicken. Told the waitress who now was not happy about this. She said just stay with this and I will get the ribs. Well the ribs showed up when everyone else was done with their dinner. On top of this the tip they game was pretty close to raw and I don't recall the waitress even askin me about a choice. This was my first time visiting this location twice within a few weeks. The restaurant is spacious and has a nice decor. The staff have all been very nice. The food was also really good. The first time I went there I had the smokehouse burger which was good. I asked for it to be cooked medium and it was a little overcooked, but not bad I only ate half and took the other half home but the next day it was really dry so I couldn't eat it. The next time I went there I had the kicken chicken sandwich and that was really good and tasty. For drinks the first time I went there I had a dirty martini and that was really good. The second time I went there. I had a margarita flight and it was too fruity for me. I didn't taste any tequila at all, so I would never get that again, but it did look pretty. We ordered the root bear glazed ribs, great white pizza and the mediterranean chicken pita tacos. The root beer glazed ribs were babyback pork ribs with a root beer glaze. It came with a side of sriracha cole slaw. It was very tasty. The great white pizza came with grilled chicken, mushrooms, garlic, parmesan cheese, and tomatoes in an alfredo sauce. The pizza came out a bit cold but it was still delicious. The mediterranean chicken pita tacos came in two. The grilled pita came with grilled chicken, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, feta cheese, and greek yogurt. It also came with a side of quinoa. Busy Saturday night. Had a few of the BJ brews and they were average. Food was very good had couple of the wedge salads with tri-tip steak. Outstanding choice. Large, fresh and flavorful. Definitely great spot. Good service and hard workers. Especially impressed with GM Chance who dealt with issue with customer who had a bit too much alcohol. Managed with patience, dialog and professionalism. Incredibly well done. Change was incredibly kind throughout. Turned the situation into a positive that could have been tough. This was my third trip to BJ's. First time on a Friday night and it finally felt alive! A server swooped in out of nowhere and delivered complimentary kids apps for both kids. A garlic knot and a small bowl of fruit- love this! Both kids ate it all! Thanks BJ's! I had fish and chips. Good portion size but it was too friend if that makes sense. I like a batter that creates a coat over the fish, this was more like a shake and bake coating. I also found a piece of I think a pickle in my breading? My husband had the chicken things- talk about a lot of food! My favorite part of this trip was trying the sampler piezookie for desert! 3 different types so we all got our own. I liked the salted caramel. My daughter stated sugar cookie was too sugary (wow!) and my husband was content with his peanut butter. Just suited our needs and i love me some sweets! So many great menu choices! The Brussels sprouts appetizer is great, love the tri-tip wedge salad. This visit I enjoyed the Bacon Jam ribeye, which was cooked perfectly. Didn't love the mash potatoes, but the asparagus definitely made up for it. They do have a slight kick, but that's what I enjoyed most. To end the meal we ordered the chocolate chunk piezookie, that vanilla bean ice cream is so good! Our server, Ashley, recommended the tatonka draft and it did not disappoint. One bartender/server walked around with his mask down under his nose. Follow the rules people and keep customers safe. He came to our table, I abruptly asked him to pull it up. I didnt mean to be so abrupt, but at that point I had had it. We finally asked for a manager. Her service recovery was awful. We spent and paid our full check of $64. No "sorry we messed up your meal galactically." She let us know herself and the AGM were cooking, bar management issues, and they had storm issues. All that I sympathize with, but not enough to forgive all those issues on our first visit. One more thing...large restaurant, one bathroom stall? At a beer-centric place. BJs lacks any management or leadership person in the restaurant. The service is OK, the food is OK, the place is OK. If there was someone at BJs who took pride in serving customers the place would be so much better. But the restaurant is a collection of servers and cooks who will get it done when they get it done. The servers act like the place is inside an airport where people have to eat there. They'll take your order or make your drink when THEY are ready. I've been to two of their locations one is located in Frederick Maryland and the other is in Valley Stream, New York. The food is good not great ( no slight intended); I've enjoyed it that's why I've gone back several times. The salad is great, I've ordered it several times. The thighs are good. I could be wrong, but I think they are precooked and reheated. Some of them are a little dry around the edges; nevertheless I did enjoy them. They could be better. I have had other dishes but the salad is a standout for me so far. Overall I enjoy the food and the atmosphere of BJ's Brewhouse. The open large dining and bar area are a plus for me. Its a pub like atmosphere similar to Applebee's but more comfortable and more beer choices. We came here on Friday 7/29/22 and sat in the outside patio. I don't remember our servers name but she was great. We both had a cheeseburger with fries. I had a Sam Adam summer ale, and my partner had an iced tea. Everything was good, food, service, comfort and menu choices. We were told about the in-house beer options too. The only thing that would be a possible suggestion would be to keep sugar or sweeteners on the table instead of needing to ask for them. read more

For the second time ive been disgusted with BJ's Ale house!!! We had a reservation for a table because my partner has a wheel chair. We made the reservation 3 days ahead (as we were told to do), confirmed it the day before for 6:30 on the following day. We arrived with ourselves and one other couple and were told in no uncertain terms that we "would NOT be seated until AFTER 8PM"!!!!! Not to mention it was my bithday dinner that they friggin ruined!!!! Thanks for that BJ's!!!! The previous issue was we had orsered apps and the entrees at the same time and received assurances that the apos would come out first and the entrees would follow 15-29 mins later. This did NIT happen. It took more than 35 mins to even get the apps followed literally 15 seconds later by another runner with the entrees we obviously didnt have room on the table for so she stood there holding the food rather than yake it back to the kitchen and tell them we JUST GOT THE APPS. No she stood there looking lost waiting for us to make room for more plates. Training seems to be NON EXISTANT ata this resturant. Nobody knows how to run the pass and PLAN food times, how a REAERVATION WORKS, or what to do if there is an issue. Staff training is SERVRELY LACKING IN THIS REASTURANT.
