Get the Crab Ragoons! They are filled with cream cheese and crab, they don't skimp and the breading is soft. They are the best I've ever had. We stopped here on our way to see family near Milwaukee for the holidays. The staff were polite and prompt. The Pho was delicious. My daughter and I got the Pho Ga and my husband got the Pho with brisket. We all enjoyed it tremendously. My daughter thought the fresh avocado smoothie was very refreshing. My husband liked his Royal Thai tea. If we lived nearby we would definitely visit frequently. read more

I have never had Pho before today. There was a spice that was used I couldn't put my finger on it but I'm not sure if that is how Pho tastes but it's not for me. I really wanted to have the Bún but some of their menu items they did not make yet and that was one of them. I was looking forward to the Thai tea but they did not have that yet either. I gave this place 4 stars because it was clean and nicely decorated. The staff was also very nice. Pleasantly surprised! Nervous to try it since I'm not familiar with the menu/food. But they have simple English underneath which helps a ton. I went with a friend and we split several items: Crab Rangoon- Hoanh Thanh Cua, Fried Rocket Shrimp Rolls, Lo-mein, and Bahn Mi (pork). Would definitely order the lo-mein again, added hoisin sauce too! Staff was friendly. Restaurant was clean. Would go back and try the traditional Pho Ga. Table next to us said it was their fave. First time trying and we will for sure be back. Walked in and over half the tables were full. Seated immediately and we watched the one young man doing everything in the dinning room zipping around and realized he was on his own except for another man cooking. We took our time looking over the menu as more and more people came in, for eat in and take out. I really wanted to help out but he handled things so well. Took our order and apologized for the wait, we said no worries. Ordered a black milk tea and fresh lime seltzer, along with the potstickers on special, beef noodle soup with brisket, and a pork banh mi. Only a few mins later the older man brought the soup and potstickers. Then came back with a platter of pork, rice, and soup. I questioned that it was supposed to be a sandwich and our original waiter was like oh no! Got the sandwich too us a few mins later but left the wrong order. Potstickers, probably the best we've ever had, hands down. So crispy and flavorful. The table next to ours were accidentally given an order and were told no charge. They ate one, we seriously thought about asking for the rest, they were that good. Soup, amazing, broth was flavorful, meat tender, and the noodles were so soft. Not a drop left. We got a regular order and two of us ate off it, was a lot of food. Sandwich....o.m.gosh, the bread was light and fluffy, pork so flavorful, and all the toppings were fresh. I would have ordered 3 more easy. We split it, I would say for one person I'd get an app and sandwich because a sandwich alone might not not fill you up. We ended up asking the waiter to put the wrong order on our bill too because we wanted to try it. He seemed relieved we did that. Sadly it was cold by this time but we didn't care because it was delicious grilled pork and rice. Would order it again on purpose. It did take a bit of time to get our drinks but he was busy and we really didn't mind. The lime drink was like a sprite without the sugar. I'm not a seltzer water girl but I would happily order it again. I got the black tea milk and it was delicious. Got the bill, reasonable prices, paid, and tipped heavy because dude was working his tail off and was plesant the whole time. Got crab Rangoons and chicken wings. They were fresh and good, but got 4 wings for $5.. not worth it. But, the best part of the meal. Got the Chicken Pho, which was ok. Got the Beef Pho, which I didn't know it was hard to mess up broth. It was watery, flavorless, and honestly tasted like dish water. Was gross, wasted 3 bowls of food (and I hate wasting food). Tried to add sauce to make it have flavor, but not even adding the sauce could help. Was very very disappointed and would not recommend. read more

Found this hidden gem today and what a surprise! I had the BÁNH MÌ GÀ XÉ, a chicken Banh Mi sandwich that has to be the best I ever had. The chicken was flavored perfectly, moist, and grilled, the accompaniments were perfectly balanced and bread was light and crispy. I also started with a shrimp spring roll, very fresh and the peanut sauce was great. The owner came and welcomed me and we spoke for a few minutes, he made me feel very welcome and thanked me for patronage of restaurant. The wait staff was also excellent! Fantastic food and great service, how can you go wrong? Out of the two Vietnamese joints in town, this one comes in second to Saigon Panda. Their spring rolls were all noodles with a couple of chunks of chicken (we didn't finish them), and their pho chicken soup should be renamed chicken soup with pho noodles added. The best part of Madame Pho is the convenient location! Located right off of highway 94 (exit 344) and next to a little Italian cocktail bar and grill AND a Starbucks. However, this is the third time I've eaten here, and the food lacks flavor and authenticity. I'll probably bring my son back (he enjoys low flavor items as long as he can add salt or soy sauce, so, check), but I will not be ordering their pho or their spring rolls for myself again. When it comes to their spring rolls, I got 4 (messy) tiny pieces in a poorly stacked pile, with random veggies, and a peanut sauce that wasn't that great. My wife had the Bahn Mi, a normally safe bet with Vietnamese cuisine, and it was dry and didn't impress with flavor. The Phó? Phók it. They ALWAYS forget sprouts, jalapeños, basil & hoisin when you order Pho for takeout, but the owner/manager will stink eye you, and try to ignore you if she sees you do it. On the subject of packing food, it's a real cross contamination treat to have your bloody med-rare beef wrapped with noodles, cilantro & onion. I get that the beef is wrapped it plastic, but that's a risky & unappetizing packing solution. Also, when I walked back in to ask about my iced coffee the last & final time I was in that area, the owner/manager at first tried to ignore me, then annoyingly repeatedly "fries" back to me when I accidentally asked about Thai Iced Coffee (mostly Thai & Cambodian by me so it was a natural slip), and on my third request decided to remind me it was Vietnamese, but still no move toward my coffee. Service 0/5... if I could do negative I would! Walked in around 7 on Sunday night after a day of shopping at outlets. Exhausted, thirsty and starving! Waited about 3-5 min to be greeted. Once the employee came around from the kitchen she literally "greeted" us by saying... "are you dining in, take out or WHAT"? Um excuse me, WHAT?! I wanted to leave right then and there, my husband,however, wanted stay because he was famished. She then said "sit anywhere you want". Ok. Fine. We sat. She came over 10 minutes later for drink order for which I presented the Yelp coupon for a FREE SOFT DRINK OR TEA. She says, no you can only get a tea with that no soft drink. Umm, ok... so ordered a tea and it was good. She DID actually comp it from the meal. We ordered 2 apps and they came out quick and hot. Food was good. Nothing FABULOUS. We then ordered dinner 20 min later when server was to be found. Asked for a water no water. Husband was out of his soft drink and never got a refill. Just terrible piss poor customer service. Got our pho. Portion size was good. The spoons they leave at the table had old noodles and were dirty. Gross. Picked another one out of the bin they have and wiped it clean. Come on, we have a pandemic going on folks! Get it together and clean your restaurant properly! Felt like I over paid to be in this establishment. I would not eat here if you are at all worried about Covid-19. Not a single person working there was wearing a mask or gloves, including the waitress and cooks. They have open silverware on the table that anyone can touch. I was shocked they they have zero safety protocols in place. Also the waitress seemed to be having a bad day. Originally, after looking at a few reviews and pictures of the place, I had thought that this restaurant was going to be at least adequate. When me and my party of four ordered, we had to wait for almost half an hour for a single appetizer to arrive at our table. Then my sister finally had gotten her food but the bowl was so small that she had a very rough time mixing it without spilling anything. For the very long wait, I expected that the food was going to be amazing. Unfortunately, the food was just okay. We were checking the bill and there was a suggested tip that we were forced to pay towards the staff members but the waiter never checked up on us after handing out our food, they never refilled our waters, they forgot a few condiments for our phos, and the waiter had a very unappealing attitude. Wonderful restaurant! We definitely plan on returning many times as this is the best pho we have had in a long time. Not relevant to the food but their playlist is great, too! Fast service, polite and attentive staff, delicious pho and spring rolls made with fresh ingredients. We are from Chicago and were delightfully surprised at the authenticity of the flavors served at this establishment. I personally recommend the pho with rare beef. I am very disappointed with the food at Madame Pho. We were told that we got the end of the meat from the bottom of the bucket on our dish and it gets chewy. We had to keep spitting it out. It tasted awful. I was shocked that our waitress was not wearing a mask and everyone can just touch the silverware on the table. It was not very clean at all. Something was floating in my water and my glass of wine was from a very old bottle that smelled like vinegar. Not happy at all! I would love a refund! My daughter and I are foodies and this might be the worst place we have even eaten. Her pho tasted like cinnamon water. I have very bad food allergies and I don't think they even cared. I hate giving bad reviews but unfortunately Madam Pho has disappointed me again. It used to be my favorite restaurant in the area for authentic Vietnamese but there is nothing authentic anymore. My wife saw this spot while out driving and suggested we go. I'm glad she did. The food was excellent from beginning to end. Appetizer (chicken wings) and Thai ice teas were great. The fried rice we ordered for our daughter was well seasoned, not greasy, and very good. The pho came hot, the broth had a great depth of flavor, and they weren't cheap with the noodles or proteins. Can't believe you can get an amazing bowl of pho in Kenosha. I was traveling and was in dire need of some comfort food. Was feeling lil under the weather from a long flight and it killed whatever bug that's inside me. I think pho is a magic broth! We almost passed this great spot kuz we saw couple people had pretty negative reviews. I'm glad that we came here anyway. The food was great. The service was great. Restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. Nowadays, it's probably pretty hard to be a small restaurant owner, since people have expectations for 5 star restaurant level of service and experience. To be very fair, I think small restaurant like this needs more encouragement than harsh judgement. Food here was similar as what we got from Chicago vienmamese town. It also provided opportunities for you to juice up your phone (USB charging station is next to every table). It has awesome dessert option. I loved the Blueberry Cobbler White Chocolate Cheesecake.
