The beef & radish soup was a very light broth and the beef super tender. I can't wait to try other dishes from this restaurant. I was more than pleasantly surprised. I definitely will have to be a regular here because there's so much more I want to try. They do have $9.99 lunch specials, although most everything we ordered was family style. It comes with the assorted side dishes, which were all very tasty. The service was great and it didn't take long for the food to come out. I am a huge fan. There's so many good looking dishes on their menu, and yes, the food looked just like the pictures on the menu. It's a casual atmosphere. The man then comes outside and starts to throw what looks like salt outside of the door. After googling what that means, he was cleansing the energy of the establishment because "negativity " entered the energy.!! Took me a while to decided on what to eat, but I ended up going with Namsan Tonkatsu because their giant katsu was too hard to resist. I got the King Combo that comes with their giant king katsu, rice, side of coleslaw, mini kimbap, a shrimp tempura and a small bowl of udon. The portion was HUGE and I got to take home the left over and eat them for my next meal. Their katsu was breaded perfectly with w good batter to meat ration. Their sauce was so good and buttery!! From the food to the service, everything was disappointing. Honestly, I don't even think it deserves one star. I have no idea how it has a rating of over four stars. From the moment we walked in and were seated, the server's attitude was already unfriendly. When we pointed out issues with the food, she showed no willingness to resolve them and did not apologize at all. Instead, she simply said that they "cannot control the ingredients." As you can see in the photos, the chashu pork in the ramen was just two pieces of pure fat -- and both bowls we ordered were like this. She insisted that this was normal and said, "We can't control how fatty the pork we receive is." I do not believe this is a responsible attitude for a restaurant. Ingredients are absolutely something a restaurant should manage. If there are quality concerns, the dish should not be served to customers in the first place -- it is not acceptable to shift the responsibility onto the customer. What's even worse, the sliced potatoes were green -- all three dishes. The server actually said, "I've never heard that green potatoes shouldn't be eaten." This is shocking. Green potatoes contain solanine, which can be toxic and cause food poisoning. I believe I have every right to report this to the health department so that you can properly educate yourselves. Is this really how you run a restaurant? Is this how you treat your customers? By the way, the waitress who was clearing the table deliberately pulled the napkin out from under my phone, causing it to fall onto the table. This is the first time I've ever left a negative review on Yelp, but their behavior was truly unacceptable. I hope my review helps anyone who is considering coming here.

I get the place is more popular now, but they should change their advertising at this point. Ambiance wise, I know it's good cuz Korean people go there.. but honestly only one of the servers there seems like she's half-way decent toward non-Koreans.
