The Little Guy went with the Kudzu Cold Noodle dish $9.99. The noodles are made of arrowroot, which we did not know at the time. It had a lot of great flavor that was tangy and had pickled radish in it. I would order this again if I see it on the menu. The Husband ordered the Ox Bone Soup $9.99. The meat wasn't quite what he was expecting as it's served with a brisket. It's served with vinegar, mustard, and green onions to add as you see fit since the broth doesn't typically have a lot of flavor. It was just okay for him. I went with the Soybean Noodle $9.99. The older gentleman taking my order looked at me, and said that usually only Korean people order that dish. He seemed skeptical that I would like it. I felt challenged and not to be swayed, I went ahead with that order. (I did look it up beforehand and it seemed like something I would like.). When my dish arrived, the waitress told me to add salt to it and pointed at the salt shaker on the table. When my dish arrived, I tried it as it was and then added a bit of salt. Ultimately, it's made from soybeans blended down and mixed with nuts or sesame seeds. (I asked later and he confirmed they use a little peanut butter in their version.) I ate the whole thing and we drank all the soup. When the older gentleman came by with the check, he asked me what I thought of the dish and I pointed to my empty bowl. He said usually only older Korean people order that dish as they enjoy the soup part as well. (I guess I have the tastebuds of an older Korean lady.) It's a cold noodle dish and quite refreshing during the hot summer months. I would get this again, and maybe add a bit more salt in the beginning part. I appreciated that he was concerned that I may not like it as I'm sure there probably have been other non-Korean customers who ordered this dish and didn't like it. The meal came with four kinds of banchan - kimchi cucumbers, kimchi cabbage, fish cake, and potatoes. Free refill on banchan as usual. Overall, Seoul Hotpot Korean Restaurant was a decent lunch option on a Saturday without breaking the bank. The Husband saw the neighboring table get the dolsot bibimbap which is one of his favorite Korean dishes.
