Who doesn't love sliders and bao buns? I love the size and the different filling you can choose from here. Michael was so friendly, I never met anyone that friendly at a restaurant so I was really happy. He helped me choose what to order because I just wasn't sure what I wanted, all the choices were good. I really liked the crispy pork belly! It was so good. I wish I tried their fries but my friend ordered those and I was just so full and I've been eating fries a lot lately so definitely next time I want to try it. My sister also came here on a different day and said the same thing, they were very friendly and helpful here. read more

Food was definitely freshly made at pick up and very tasty! A bit messy. I think I would ask for the chicken flavoring to be on the side so I can dip with each bite. Sauces were all good, just too messy to eat on the go. Service was welcoming and polite even though it was a to go order (btw this is more like a food court location). read more

This is AMAZING! The chicken was juicy and crunchy and the sauce was everything! I had Seoul Chick and made it spicy (they can adjust the heat) . Everything was SUPER fresh. The fries were great too. I wish I could take a pic of my food, but it's too late for that. It was THAT good! I highly recommend this, it's better than ANY of the "other" chicken spots. I hope they open additional locations (Palm Springs/Desert Hot Springs/Palm Desert please!!!) Edit: The staff are great as well, when I mentioned that I wish they had a location near me, the cook was excited about the food and the brand, he explained that their chicken is never frozen, which explains why it was so fresh and juicy! You can tell that the company culture is great when the staff are excited to be there. read more

Amazing food!! Very delicious!! I think the food was too flavorful overall, but if ignoring some extra salt and sugar, it's very good. Chicken is very juicy and bun is soft. Fries are good too. They have different flavors to fill in. My favorite was the corn one. It's perfect for any buns. Super good!! read more

This was my first time at Haven City. So glad I decided to go with Madbun. I really enjoyed the sweet thai bao bun and loaded Korean bbq fries. The Seoul chick bao was okay, but I wish I would have gotten two of the sweet thai. Service was pretty quick. I'll definitely be back! read more

I had two sliders (Seoul chick + Thai sweet) with bao buns. I asked to make them spicy, but they were both overly sweet and not spicy at all. They were also covered in breading and were not fulfilling to eat. Lastly it was incredibly messy and sticky. Overall didn't really enjoy my meal. I would give it another try, but with so many options at Haven City I might go somewhere else next time. read more

Madbun just opened at Haven City Market and they're making some of the best Asian hot chicken around The chicken sandwiches are HUGE and have the perfect crunch to them! The bao sliders are soft and airy, and complement the chicken so well. The loaded fries are definitely LOADED and will fill you up for sure. The guys working there are super chill and helped us out with all of our questions. Definitely check them out when you're in the area! read more

I came to Haven City for the first time and I was overwhelmed with all the options I walked around a few times and something about Madbun was calling my name. At first I thought they only had chicken sandwiches but they also had bolgolgi sandwiches. I ordered the bolgolgi sandwich and fries. The sandwich was delicious 5/5 the fries weren't anything special regular plain fries but good . I would definitely come back! read more

Who knew you could find such a good place inside a 99 Ranch Market? It's in a place actually called Cravings by 99 Ranch, which houses the grocery store on one side and a small food court on the other side. After seeing so many photos on Instagram with the food looking so savory, and reading the many reviews on Yelp, I decided to give it a shot. The restaurant was easy to find as there were only 3 or 4 restaurants in the food court area. Looking at the menu, my best option was the Mad Platter, which allowed me to try sliders, wings, and loaded fries. For my Mad Platter (which I shared with my friend), I opted for: Corn Cheese Loaded Fries, 2 Mad Hot Chicken Tenders, 2 Thai Sweet Chili Chicken Tenders, 1 Korean BBQ Beef Sliders (Bao), 1 Thai Sweet Chili Chicken Slider (Portugese), 2 Mad Hot Chicken Sliders (1 Portugese ,1Bao). How was all of this? - Corn Cheese Loaded Fries: I'm not much of a fan of corn cheese, but this was pretty good! Sweet corn, cheese, and onions over a nice bed of fries. - Mad Hot Chicken Tenders: I requested these extra spicy because I love heat. These are Madbun's take on Nashville fried chicken. It was pretty good! - Thai Sweet Chili Chicken: I like the flavor on these. A little sweet with a hint of spice. Addicting. - Korean BBQ Beef Sliders: I wasn't too much of a fan of the beef, but it wasn't bad. - Thai Sweet Chili Chicken Slider: Delicious in between the Portugese bun. Madbun was my first time here and overall I would say it was a heavy sandwich to eat. It was a large sandwich that I shared with someone and I was super full from just eating half of it. The fries were slightly burnt and way too fried to my liking but I know people do enjoy that style as well! The chicken itself was cooked well but for me I just kind of thought it was a bit too oily. Overall though the service was good and the style of food is unique. I can still see this business thriving because some people do enjoy this way of cooking also. read more

As soon as you walk up you're greeted with such great presence. The ambience is very active but super fun foodie vibes. We hit up this place after walking around and decided to try the mad bun fried chicken sliders, got recommended the best way by whoever was working there tonight also tried the loaded Korean fries Super tasty and savory and just full on delicious. Shared all this with my friend and myself and was the perfect amount of food without feeling full! Also got hooked up with some free house sauces . Mad Bun in the food court of a Ranch 99. We got the Thai sweet chili, spicy pork belly, and and Korean BBQ baos. The Thai sweet chili was my favorite. It wasn't spicy at all and the pickled onions, coleslaw, and sauce was amazing. The spicy pork belly wasn't spicy. I got it because the person at the counter also said it came with green onions and corn. It was challenging to eat. They put slice of the crispy pork belly so when you bite into it, you basically take the whole thing with you since it's not sliced. The Korean BBQ was too salt, but otherwise delicious! the food is absolutely amazing!!!! Got the sliders with each of the buns - the bao bun is fantastic The owner took our order and was so nice and helped us walk through the menu and choose what to order. Food came out fast and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the afternoon. 10 out of 10, will be back and will order via uber eats when we are feeling lazy read more

Come here every time I come to visit family in California. The Thai chicken bun is absolutely to die for. The aioli and pickled onions they put on top of the sweet Thai chili chicken is an absolutely incredible combo. Super crispy and amazing. Not to mention they have really good loaded fries that my mom gets every time. The owner is super nice and provides the best service. Always look forward to coming back. read more

First time coming here after finding this place on yelp and we'll definitely be back. It's tucked inside Haven City Market. Shoutout to co-owner Felix for giving us a wonderful first experience with his excellent customer service. They know how to take care of their customers and Felix let us know that Mad Bun prepares their chicken fresh never frozen! They've got great prices w/ huge portions, everything is packed with flavor and chicken was perfectly crisp. Can't beat that. Madbun is a MUST TRY for anyone living in the area. read more

Sadly I did not take any pictures today because I was so hungry after my PET scan but this place is DELICIOUS!! I placed a mobile order thru Yelp and it was ready right as we got there. We got the Duo Sliders Mad Hot Brioche, Nuggies and Fries. I shared this with my daughter and it was perfect for sharing even as hungry as I was. My fiancée ordered the Korean BBQ Big Bun and she loved the steak and seasoning on it. Will definitely order here again. read more

This burger was insane! I got the Seoul Chick on a brioche bun, but now I want to try the bao! I'll definitely back to try different variations! They were fast and it was fresh! Outstanding service! Cute Asian fusion spot. We got the Mad Hot Two Sliders and the chicken was very crispy and had a little kick, but wasn't super spicy. I loved the addition of the bao and how it balanced out the spicy chicken with its faint sweetness. It was not too pricey at 12.99 for two sliders and I will be back to try other flavors! read more

I came here because I nabbed a Groupon to try it. So glad I did. The food and service here is phenomenal! Madbun serves Asian fusion chicken sandwiches and it's finger lickin good. Located in the Cravings food court at the 99 Ranch Market in Chino, this stall and 2 other restaurants remain. It's unfortunate that all the other food stalls closed down. The man helping us was super helpful in providing his recommendations and suggestions on things we should try. We got the Mad Platter and a Cheeseburger Loaded Fries. Check in on Yelp for a free side of fries too! We tried sliders in Soy Garlic, Thai Sweet Chili, Korean Hot and Classic Chick, with a couple on the Portuguese bun and a couple on the bao bun (the white buns like for Peking duck). For Tenders we got Soy Garlic and Mad Hot. For our side of loaded fries, we got the corn cheese. I honestly can't pick a favorite because it was all good. Our whole family loved everything, especially the corn cheese fries. The only thing I wouldn't order here next time is the sliders on the bao bun. It's just too slippery with the chicken and sauce inside, so everything kept falling out. The hand washing sink is conveniently located next to Madbun which was great since we really needed to wash our hands after scarfing down our food. And because 99 Ranch is adjacent, we were able to walk off our food and buy our Asian groceries after lunch! I love that I can get so much done in one trip. I got the duo madbun combo with the bao and brioche bun, it was pretty good but I would've added more sauce to it cause it got a bit dry for my liking. The fries could use a bit more salt for the flavor. The service was adequate, it took about 15 mins for it to be done. Plenty of seating and a nice outdoor area! read more

Madbun was one of the only three food options (as of Sep 2022) inside of Cravings (a food hall that's a part of 99 Ranch Market). This vendor has been around since the establishment of Cravings in 2018 and still in business despite of the pandemic, so that tells you something about their food. They specializes in sliders and buns. Step 1 is choosing a protein (protein from pork, beef, chicken, and fish) and each protein has different favors. Next step is choosing sliders or big buns (aka burgers) and pork option isn't available for big buns. For slider, you have an option to choose two different bun styles - bao or Portuguese. You are able to mix and match on bun styles if you get duo or trio buns and the staff recommended bao style for crispy pork belly slider and Portuguese style for Thai sweet chili chicken slider. *** Duo - Crispy Pork Belly in Bao Style & Thai Sweet Chili Chicken in Portuguese Style ($10.99): Crispy pork belly tasted slightly dry, but crispy texture was good and spicy mayo tasted good enough to mask dry pork belly. Highly highly recommend this spot for a quick snack!!! First, to get in, you have to go into a grocery store and they have some restaurant casual dining on the right side. There was a lot of seating, though we went right when they opened so it was quite empty (was also on a Tuesday). We called to order ahead. The lady on the phone was nice and was also nice when getting there. Yelp check in for free fríes!!! those are showin the burger photo. The food was delicious!!!! The mad hot burger was SO JUICY and the sauce was asian style. The bun was soft too. The sliders were 100/10. Such a unique experience. Perfectly sauced. My friend LOVED the fish even more than the thai chicken. I loved both the thai chicken and korean bbq (maybe chicken a little more). The fries are your average fries. PRO-TIP: Yelp check in for a side of fries with any purchase! YO THE GROUPON MAKES THIS PLACE MAD AFFORDABLE AND CRAZY CHEAP. It also seems to be an unlimited Groupon as well, meaning that you can purchase it again and again. It was a $60 for $40 deal and it DID NOT include tax, so imagine $70 worth of food for only $40. This was enough to feed 4 hungry adults with some fries left over too! YOU CANNOT MISS THIS DEAL. Absolutely insane. They do close a bit early though seeing as they are in the food court inside the Cravings by 99 Ranch, so we had to order our dinner before 7:30 PM . We got the: 1) Mad Platter (serves 4 people) -For the Mad Platter, you get any 4 sliders, 4 chicken tenders, and loaded fries. -We chose the corn cheese loaded fries, classic chick bao slider, crispy pork belly bao slider, Korean BBQ bao slider, Mad Fish Portuguese bun slider. -CORN CHEESE LOADED FRIES SLAP. Super cheesy and gooey and tasted so good with the, what I believe is the kimchi aioli sauce? The fries were also crispy on the outside too. I was using my hands just to scoop the leftover cheese and sauce in my mouth (yeah gross I know but it was that good). -The Mad Fish slider and Classic Chick sliders were good, but didn't really stand out from the other things that we ordered, probably because the other items were just that phenomenal and unique. -The tenders were HUGE and nicely crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Very nice. -The Korean BBQ bao slider had a nice amount of arugula sprouts and the pink pickled radishes that you can get from KBBQ. We ordered the Thai Sweet Chili Chicken Big Bun and bulgogi fries. They were delish! The chicken was so crispy and juicy but not overly greasy. The slaw and pickled onion were such a nice touch to the Thai sauce. It wasn't overly spicy either. Would DEFINITELY recommend this one. The bulgogi fries were also so delish! Bulgogi on the fries was thinly sliced and SUPER tender. Service was excellent. I was given recommendations as a new customer and they took the time to explain the best selling items vs. those I may like based on my preference. Ambience was great. Plenty of space to sit and eat. SO SO GOOD!! The chicken was super juicy and tender, and the sandwich itself was HUGE. They've got a deal this October for $8.99 a sandwich, which is such a steal for how much food you get.
