Japchae Bop, Mom's Medley Bibimbop, Glazed House Wings
    Bree C.

This Korean spot is small and cute! The food was good, but it lacked the flavor and coziness I really look for with Korean food. We ordered the japchae bowl, mom's medley bibimbap, and glazed house wings - good but not mind blowing. Plus, I'm shocked each dish didn't come with banchan (it had to be ordered separately of course...). I might come back for the banchan bento! We sat at the bar and the service was very good - the staff were definitely friendly and attentive!

Glazed house Wings (delicious), Japchae Bop (with bulgogi) (loved this), and Kimchi trio.

Another reason to love Fremont. The cuisine here is Korean food. They just did a nice renovation (gives a quick eat/bar/cozy vibe) so there is both indoor and outdoor seating. We went in the rainy spring so sat indoors. You pay at the counter and take a number, then they direct you to a seat. Our server was excellent. The food came out on time and hot. Had a clay pot japchae bop bulgogi dish, so it was hot, perfect for the weather. Also had their glazed wings and radishes/kimchi. Will go back.

A Great Casual Spot for Korean Food Clean Korean eats! A gem I found while walking on Sunday. I've had this place on my "must-visit" list for a while, and I finally got to try it. The interior is beautifully decorated, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I also loved how clear and easy-to-read the menu was. Since I'd always wanted to try the daily special, I went with the Spicy Pork. I was really craving a traditional "Baekban" style meal with all the side dishes (banchan) laid out. The presentation was stunning, but the taste was just okay for me--not bad, but not particularly memorable either. However, everyone else in our group was very happy with their orders! The Veggie Bibimbap and Stone Pot (Dolsot) Bibimbap were hits, and the Chicken Katsu Curry was great, even with a little spicy kick. The Hamburger Steak was also a crowd-pleaser. It seems like ordering the individual entrees is the way to go here. It's a perfect spot for a casual meal, and the beer we ordered was incredibly crisp and refreshing. Since we had a large group, we sat outside, but the vibe inside looked lovely too. I'd definitely come back again! Perfect weather, a scenic walk, and an amazing meal to top it off.

Small spot that has strictly bar-height seating (there are tables, but even those are on very tall chairs. Not my favorite, because I don't love the dangling legs situation). The food here was pretty good! I enjoyed the crunchy juicy texture of their kimchi. Their kale tempura is very fun and airy! The other side items (japchae, mushrooms, etc) were good. On the other hand, everything was a little on the salty side, and the chicken I got was maybe overcooked. I think if you're in the mood for Korean flavors, it's worth trying this spot!

Cute little restaurant. It gets crowded so get here early for dinner. Very flavorful! Little bit on the pricier side

The restaurant itself is very cute and cozy--- quite small and bustling. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful. They were happy to explain the food and make suggestions. The food itself is incredible. Fantastic flavor, texture, temperature--- everything was perfect. The quality of ingredients really shined. The portions were also plentiful and filling. Really enjoyed my experience here and can't wait to come back sometime. I got the daily platter with the braised spicy tofu. So good. The tofu was done right.

12.7.25: Went here for a girls brunch outing. What a treat! They recently renovated, and the interior is nice and seats a lot more people. The espresso drinks were really good, we got chai lattes and cappuccinos. We all got the mom's medley bibimbap, with ribeye, it was really good, as always. We had the slow cooked ribs special, and that was really good as well. We will for sure be back, and those ribs neeeeed to stay on the menu :)

It usually takes me a few visits to find the thing I like and in this case it's the Daily Plate served on a platter with individual portions of banchan with grilled garlic chicken as my protein. Everything was tasty and not too spicy. My particular favorites were the japchae and kale tempura. I finished everything but the rice, so that's a good sign. It's quick service, order at the counter type of place. This place is on the spendy side - $28 for the Daily Plate. Given my small stature, I'm not a fan of the high top seating. There is also a couple of picnic tables for outdoor seating. Made in House is a good option for lunch if you find yourself in Fremont.

Hanging out in Fremont for lunch. Real cool Korean spot. I stuck with appetizers. I went with the Kale tempura and tempura sampler. All the tempura was great. The kale had a nice fry and the ginger soy sauce was real good. The other veggies were mushroom, zucchini and eggplant. They were all good, the mushroom was the best of the three. The others ordered bipimbap, those were real good and the crispy rice was excellent on those. Good experience and service.

The prices have gone up significantly and the quality has gone down. I was really excited to return after they closed for a few months to remodel, but my partner and I left disappointed. Lunch for the two of us was about $100, and the food just did not taste the same. They removed the bob bowl, which was my partner's favorite dish, and we had hoped it might return one day. Unfortunately, they have messed up his order twice in a row now, and he is feeling jaded. The new space looks great with much more room for seating. I want to keep supporting Made In House, but I really wish their pricing was more accessible.

I'm usually skeptical of fusion or re-interpretation of ethnic cuisines. They can easily go wrong. Made in House dispelled my skepticism, and I was pleasantly surprised how good and fresh everything tasted! Using more unconventional ingredients that still bring out an authentic flavor that I craved- truly surprised!

A Fremont gem! This place is usually pretty busy so I would recommend going at off hours if you want to order and be seated quickly. The passion fruit spritzer is worth the money if you're looking for a refreshing drink. The bibimbop in the stone pot w/ bulgogi and miso sauce is my go to order. If you're a kimchi lover, the kimchi starter gives you three kimchis that you can mix in with your bibimbop. The food comes out relatively quickly and I've found the staff to be super friendly!

INCREDIBLE! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The food was so fresh and all the flavors worked so well off each other. The place is small, so there can be a wait, but the servers are so accommodating and are constantly checking in. The food comes out fast, and is incredibly delicious. I highly recommend the daily plate - it's around $30+, but comes with a lot of food (and basically is the bipimbop bowl deconstructed). The bipimbop bowl was also incredibly and the hot stone makes the rice get crispy. Can't go wrong!

Boso lagman was a dry-fried noodle dish with bold, satisfying flavor -- though more meat would make it perfect. Manty was solid comfort food, simple and honest. And the shurpa -- that soup was something else entirely. Deep, warming, and soulful, every spoonful felt like it was made with love. Food? Honestly, ten out of ten. No question. Service is where things fell short. The soup arrived last instead of first -- the team knew the order was wrong, yet refused to cancel it. The very next day they admitted it should have come first. Here is what made it worse: you tip in advance before even tasting anything. You pay that tip in good faith, trusting the experience will match. The bartender was nice as well, asking if we'd like any additional drinks. We ordered a couple drinks. Both tasted great and filled to the brim which was nice. It definitely got us tipsy too lol. Our entrees came out pretty fast too. We got the oxtail Benedict and crab Benedict. Both tasted great. The meats were fresh and flavorful, hollandaise sauce was delicious. The side of potatoes were delicious too. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Perfect. One critique I have is that all of our poached eggs were a bit overdone. We started with a dozen of the shucked oysters, which were perfectly prepared and not overly briny. From there we tried the Bò Lá Lốt and is instantly my new go-to dish whenever I come back. I'd never had it before and now I'm already craving it again. For mains, we ordered the Lemongrass Clay Pot Chicken and the Drunken Chicken. The Lemongrass Chicken had incredible flavor, especially the broth, which was so good it's worth taking home if you don't finish it. The only downside was navigating all the bones. The Drunken Chicken ended up being my favorite main dish. It reminded me of sweet-and-sour chicken, but without the overwhelming sweetness that usually takes over the dish. A quick heads up: definitely make a reservation if you can because this place gets BUSY. We lucked out and snagged the last four seats at the bar. I ordered the catfish claypot, which came highly recommended, and it truly delivered. The flavor was rich, savory, and comforting with a beautiful presentation. My one note: order a small side of jasmine rice. The dish does not come with it, and while the claypot stands strong on its own, the sauce deserves something to soak it up. You will want every last bite. The location is charming, tucked into a quaint neighborhood across from a cozy coffee shop and bookstore. The restaurant itself is spacious with a well stocked bar. One side feels ideal for families and larger groups, while the other side leans more date night or casual drinks. It strikes a nice balance. Pricing runs on the higher side, especially since entrees do not include rice or sides and portions are not particularly large. It is something to keep in mind when ordering. Service was decent and attentive, though I would have appreciated stronger menu knowledge. Simple questions like whether a dish is gluten free or whether it includes rice or vegetables should be easy to answer. A bit more confidence and familiarity would elevate the experience. I also would have appreciated seeing Vietnamese representation at the front of house, given the cuisine. Would I return? Yes. The food is good and the space is inviting. I am just not in a huge rush, as the overall experience did not fully match the quality of the dish itself.

Disclaimer: this review is for Sun Teriyaki that replaced Palmi on Fremont Ave. Posting here bc I…read morebelieve Palmi has rebranded to "Sun Teriyaki". At first I thought Palmi sold to a different owner, but couldn't find the entity "Sun Teriyaki" on Yelp, plus the menu looked similar and the owner is still Korean, so I believe they simply rebranded. Note: 120% vegetarian / vegan unfriendly. Oh god where should I start? Flies that fly around indoor even when the doors were always shut, the lingering cigarette smell, the overly sweet teriyaki sauce, the gamey beef (despite the heavy sugary teriyaki sauce), the years-old gyoza, the suspicious dark spots on my raw lettuce salad, or the bland steamed tofu plate that cost no more than $2 to make but they charged $17 for (check out the photo!) ? I've been wanting to check out this place and we finally paid a visit this week. We were the only two people in-shop on a weekday at 6PM, and we soon figured out why. I ordered a teriyaki combo of beef and gyoza, while my partner who's vegetarian got a tofu teriyaki. The owner was considerate enough to clarify with my partner that their default tofu is fried with animal oil. He suggested steamed tofu as a replacement, and my partner happily accepted that. Little did we know, that was a total mistake. It didn't take long for the food to be served, and I was already sus-ed out by the look of it - dark pile of beef strips next to rice and sad looking lettuce salad, plus four gyozas. The sauce was so heavy that it was impossible to tell what the meat was. Then upon first bite I was completely turned off - the teriyaki sauce was overly sweet even by American standard, and salty too. And despite the heavy dressing, the beef still tasted gamey... The gyozas tasted worse than store-bought ones, not much filling and tasted like they've been frozen forever. Oh and this wasn't even the worst part yet... when my partner's food was served, it was even sadder - cubes of steamed tofu (the tofu looked like it was taken right out of store containers, just cut into cubes) laying around next to rice and sad looking salad. Check out the photo for how cheap the dish looked. It came with a dark sauce for seasoning yet the owner told us the sauce was in fact not vegetarian. So my partner had to create his own seasoning of soy sauce and sriracha hot sauce to finish his food. And btw, the sriracha bottle looked quite gross... So yea, my partner paid $17+ to eat cubes of flavorless unseasoned steamed tofu with white rice and pieces of raw lettuce - something we've made many times at home with much better seasoning and taste with the cost of $3 max. This place also has no service. You order at the front, the food gets served, and you need to bus your own table and get your own water. Needless to say, never coming back.

Most recently I had the kimchi jigae, which was relatively spicy, even when I asked for less spicy (and they said they could accommodate). I'd say it was like 2-3 stars. Flavor was great though and it was a decent portion (for $17) and satisfying. Also, a pretty wide range of menu options, despite it being a small place. There were 4 complimentary banchan dishes (napa kimchi, cucumber kimchi, seasoned bean sprouts, and fish cakes). Note that I don't think there are free refills like other places... maybe you can ask but I didn't see anyone doing so. For 1-2 people, it's a relatively generous amount. Also, only certain dishes come with the banchan, so be sure to read the menu carefully if you are wanting the banchan.

This spot is a hidden gem in Ballard. It's not the best Korean food I've had but definitely has all…read morethe comfort food you need for a cold day if you don't want to drive far out to fed way or Lynnwood. Seafood pancake was crispy and paired well with the dipping sauce. Banchan was on point but galbi was a bit on the sweeter side + had a bit too much fat and soondubu tasted more like kimchi jiggae. Overall tho, fair prices & good selection of Korean comfort food!
