Decent food, lots of vegetarian options, close to the Climate Pledge. I'd definitely come back before a show or game. I tried the Cashew Tofu and it was great!

This is a little hole in the wall Thai that was good portion size, cheap cocktails, and serves up good flavor. We went here before a show at the Rep but due to traffic we were running *really* late. They got us in, got us our food, and got us out with plenty of time. I love how they serve their curries with the bowl over a small flame to keep it warm. The kid devoured the cashew fried rice and claimed it to.be delish. We also had some pad see ew and the noodles had the wok flavor and were savory and tasty. Their spicy level was great too. Service was friendly nice. Also the tempura shrimp was crispy and tasty!

This place is my go to spot before the kraken games . The service is always amazing even when it is packed full of folks getting food before the game . The food itself is always amazing just remember to ask for spicy if you want as most dishes will be mild

The service was good and I think they were understaffed so I appreciated that they seemed to have only one server and she still checked on me and got things to me quickly even though the place was decently busy. The inside is kinda cozy and looks like maybe they repurposed a bar into a restaurant. The Thai tea and the spring rolls were very tasty. The spicy vegan soup was just ok. I wish it had had more seasoning or veggies in it. The portions were very generous though. I had lots of tofu and noodles and green onions but no other veggies or spices. The chili oil was fine and it wasn't too too spicy for most folks I'd say. I'd like to come back and try the fried rice perhaps.

We went to Cashew based on Yelp reviews while staying in Seattle and I have to say this was by far one the best Thai cuisine I ever had! The small restaurant tucked in a neighborhood shines with great service, stunning plate presentation and delicious food. I loved that most dishes were available either vegan or gluten free as well. Try it out - you won't be disappointed!! It's truly amazing.

Everything was really good except I was very disappointed in the size of the salmon - it was tiny! For a $30 lunch (w/drink + tip) I would have expected a larger piece of salmon. Other than that the food was really good - the salmon was a little on the salty side but I guess it's from the teriyaki sauce. I would come back and try other food. Ordering itself was fine, but the line moved really slowly since only one person was ringing orders, and for some reason the self-ordering screen wasn't in use. It's a busy spot, you order first, then find a seat, and they bring your food out. Which is a process I actually enjoy. The buffalo wrap was pretty good. Definitely had that buffalo kick, but the halves weren't consistent. One side had plenty of sauce, the other was much lighter, which was a little disappointing since we were splitting it. The chik'n nuggets were solid, standard vegan nuggets, but I appreciated that they weren't overly greasy like I've seen at other places. The BBQ sauce was on the sweeter side than I expected, but still fine. They did forget our carrot cake at first, but once we asked, they brought it right out. The cake itself was just okay, you could tell it might have been sitting a day, but the portion was generous. Overall, it wasn't a bad meal at all, but I'm not sure I'd rush back either.

I am so grateful for my experience at Life On Mars. It turned out to be the highlight of a…read moretumultuous Seattle trip and I look back on it fondly. We came here mostly for one thing: I absolutely could not wait for their gluten-free vegan chick'n pot pie. A pie i'd been waiting months to try. A pie unlike any other pie. A pie that I still think about to this day. We walked straight into a Cardi B drag show. And by "walked into" I mean we opened the door and Hot Pink Shade sashayed right in front of us. It was exactly the kind of welcome we love. It was also the first green flag in a sea of green flags at Life On Mars. I could barely sit still as I waited to order my GF/VG pot pie. We got the drinks outta the way (a peach hard cider for me and a fancy-schmancy cocktail for the lady). I was positively GIDDY when Anna came to take our order and I blurted out chick'n pot pie excitedly. I nearly died when she said they didn't have any. Normally it wouldn't have been such a big deal, but I was from out of town and had literally been craving this damn pie for months! And I lied, I didn't nearly die but I DID nearly cry and that's almost as bad. Even the bestie lamented about what a let down this was. Anna. Dear, sweet Anna. We must have looked really hard up because this sweet baby angel offered to ask the cooks if they could whip one up special just for me. Let me tell you why this is a big deal: For one, she didn't need to do that. That's going above and beyond, and she was such a graceful little buttercup when she did it. Second, making a gluten free biscuit is a finicky, precise, detailed process. It sucks, honestly, and I don't blame them for not having them every day. I nearly cried when she came back and told us the cooks said YES. And this time i'm not lying. It was beyond the type of customer service i'm used to. It was.... humane. It was...empathetic. It was...totally first world problems but it meant so much to me! Especially since Anna said it had been a DAY and she was at her wits end. For her to have a rough day and still have the grace and compassion to make my stupid GF/VG chick'n pot pie dreams come true.....well, yeah, it made me a bit teary eyed. The pot pie was delicious, as expected. It was nostalgic and comforting, like a big hug in a bowl. The flavors were rich and deep, the biscuit soft and flaky; it was one of the most delicious things i've tasted on my GF/VEG journey. Between the food, the drinks, the customer service and the drag show......this was five stars all around. No doubt. I don't see the GF chick'n pot pie on their menu anymore. Maybe it's a seasonal thing? I hope it comes back, i'll be checking. And when it pops up again, so will I. Thank you, Anna. Thank you to the cooks on 2/19/26. Thank you to Hot Pink Shade, ISIS and King Leo Mane.

We also tried the Special Prime Rib Dry Noodles, and the meat was incredibly tender--it practically fell off the bone. Everything was reasonably priced, especially compared to another noodle restaurant we had considered. The passion fruit tea was also delicious and was the perfect complement to the spicy noodles. It quenched our thirst and helped cool down the heat. We also ordered the scallion pancakes, which were good, although I wish there had been a little more scallion. We got a matcha float with mochi and a hojicha float with mochi. We love the hojicha better. The matcha is prob one of the better I've tasted, but not often you can find hojicha ice cream and milk tea. It was creamy and mildly sweet. So good, refreshing and satisfying! The mochi were ok. It was very bland and not sweet at all. I do prefer my mochi to have a little sweetness to them, like a sweet bite. This was like chewing a bigger non sweet boba ball. So I'd pass on the mochi here and maybe do all ice cream. If ever we're in Seattle would visit again. Update: we came here a few yrs later. The drinks were still good as ever. My husband got a frappe and loved it. We had a salmon bowl which was decent. Not something I would order again here but we were so hungry from traveling and meeting friends, we needed some food. This time no line out the door. We got a seat inside. We came in June this yr, nice weather outside but inside was super hot as they did not run the AC. They had the windows/doors open but no breeze and mosquitos were inside attacking. I can't imagine a good breeze when the cafe is wedged btw two huge buildings. This comes in a very large cup, with layers of matcha ice cream, cornflakes, vanilla whippedd cream, and mochi at the bottom. I'll be honest that the matcha ice cream wasn't my favorite. I'm not a huge fan of matcha in general, but I have had examples where the sweetness balances with the earthiness better - and this felt like it leaned too much into the earthiness side of it. It just tasted off when mixed with everything else. What was exceptional, though, was the second and third layers. Mixing the cornflakes with the vanilla whipped cream/yogurt layer was awesome. The crunchy texture provided with the creamy vanilla flavor really worked - and it felt like what the essence of a parfait is with the textural and flavor contrast. I think I would've liked this a lot more if the top had been vanilla ice cream instead - submitting a request to have that as an option on the menu. This was pretty expensive. It cost 14 dollars for a single parfait. That's just a crazy amount. I know it's pretty big, but it's simply overpriced. Overall, it's a decent but not very practical dessert. 5.5/10

Each haidilao is different and even the menus are different. This one has a combo set menu which I was excited to try. The meat in set A was just... Bad. The brisket was way too fatty like 75% fat and not much lean meat. The lamb which I normally love was tough. And the pork was gamey. I was beside myself. Some things I expected because it was almost 9:00 p.m., such as the sauce bar and dessert bar running out of ingredients, but bad meat? Even worse, we got stomach problems this morning... The only saving grace was that the server was very apologetic and let us upgrade to set menu B. To meat there was... Acceptable. And yes, that includes the wagyu beef. Which shocks me because HL has been remarkably consistent for me, and the wagyu at Cupertino or Arcadia are terrific. This wagyu set felt a bit old and beefy, though okay enough. The soft serve ice cream machine was also out of order so no sweet ending. Having stomach problems afterward was just insult to injury. Sorry to say we probably won't come back to this location.
