Love this place! They have the best food. I came here months ago with my bestie. I remember telling my husband about the amazing food, fantastic service, and upbeat atmosphere. He even loved my leftovers and insisted we come back together. Today was finally the day! He was hesitant to make the drive at first since we're about 15-20 minutes away. But he had zero regrets after taking a bite of the chilaquiles verdes with chicken. We were also pleasantly surprised at how delicious the passion fruit iced tea was. We try to avoid sugary drinks so it was a refreshing treat. I re-order the birria Benedict. Honestly, just as delicious as I remember it. I ordered a strawberry horchata latte to go. The tvs were playing DJ sets and my husband and I kept giggling that one of the DJs looked like Robert Downey Jr. It was honestly just what we needed for a lazy Saturday. We were helped out by Jacob who was attentive, funny, and honestly one of the best multitaskers I've seen. They're going to start accepting online orders in the next week or so. You'd be missing out by not coming in person but you'd be crazy to not try their delicious food.

Arrived at Madres for breakfast, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. I had the birria omelette, and it was packed with flavor--definitely a must-try! I almost passed on ordering it because of a negative review, but I'm so glad I didn't. It exceeded my expectations. The service was friendly and attentive, and the overall experience was excellent. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend Madres to anyone looking for an amazing breakfast! Coffee was delicious as well.

I met up with a friend here for brunch on a Sunday. The wait was about 20 to 30 minutes, which isn't bad for a proclaimed brunch location. It felt like a long time though after we were seated to get service. We put in our drink orders, but they took a really long time to come out. They came out almost at the same time as our food, which is rough because you're trying to space out your alcohol intake over the course of the visit. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my mimosa flight. It was pretty standard I got the version with pineapple, orange juice and cranberry juice for $20. Not bad pricing. I got the churro French toast and bacon which was good. The bacon was a little small and could've been crispy. My friend's daughter got the chilequiles which were mid. My friend got the Nutella French toast. She liked it. If you live in this neighborhood or are 15-20minutes away I think this is a nice place to swing by, but for me the drive was a bit much when there are closer places with similar offerings.

If you have a sweet tooth for breakfast, then Madres Brunch is for you! This vibrant yet cozy restaurant offers large portions of pancakes, French toast, and waffles that are best for sharing with your table. Since you cant have sweet without the savory, we also tried their steak and eggs which I really enjoyed most. They also offer a great selection of beverages from mimosas to strawberry flavored horchata. Both the interior and exterior of the restaurant is filled with beautiful paintings on their walls and the staff here are very friendly and accommodating. Its a fun spot for brunch, especially for young adults.

Finally made it to this place! we tried coming last year, but there was a three hour wait so yes I recommend you come early because they get very busy and it gets full; we ordered the coffee flight, the red Chilaquiles with Birria and the omelette with Chilaquiles. Everything was so good. We had no room for dessert, but we kept looking around and all the plates looked amazing. We will come back and try something sweet as well our waiter was really nice. It turns out they were a little short staffed because a couple people called off on Mother's Day so imagine that it's definitely cute. Can't wait to try the other locations.

We had to wait about 15 minutes on a Sunday morning. Not too bad. The exterior is just a basic brick building but inside they have it all decked out in flowers, pink lights, and butterflies. It's very cute. They have flights for everything! The matcha flight was so good. Each one had a very strong fruity flavor. It was hard to pick a favorite. The side of potatoes were great. The French Toast was giant but I think that made them a bit too dry for my liking. I would have preferred a thinner slice of bread to soak up more of the egg mixture. They have an extensive menu though so I would go back to try more.

I loved the aesthetics of this brunch place! Not just the cute wall decor, but also the food. It definitely has picture-worthy dishes to choose from :) Flavor-wise, everything tasted pretty standard, not bad but also not exceptional. However, I would come back here for sure just to have a fun brunch with friends or to try other dishes, as they had lots of options! The food here is actually really good, no complaints there. Whoever is back in that kitchen is doing their thing. But the overall experience feels like a test of patience and financial endurance. First off, the service moves at the speed of a DMV line the day after a holiday weekend. We had enough time between ordering and getting our food to reflect on life choices, reconnect spiritually, and consider applying for jobs there so we could check on our own order ourselves. Now let's talk about the drinks. Not cocktails, not fancy handcrafted lavender infused mocktails served by a guy named Sebastian. I'm talking regular soft drinks. Sodas. The kind you buy in a 12 pack at the grocery store. They bring them out in the actual can, no glass, no ice, no refill, no illusion of generosity whatsoever. And if you dare to ask for a second one? Boom, another $4 charge. Charging $4 per soda can while also making me pour it myself feels less like dining and more like I accidentally entered a luxury survival experience. At that point just hand me the Costco case and let me finance it. Again, the food was good. But between the slow service and the hostage negotiation approach to canned soda distribution, it's hard not to leave slightly irritated and oddly dehydrated.

First time visiting Madres. Two locations, this was the Riverside one, other is in Rancho Cucamonga. Best part of our order was the coffee. The chilaquiles had some heat, but lacked layers of complimentary flavors. The churro French toast was more like a cronut, harder than French toast is supposed to be, lots of crunch which I wasn't expecting. Maybe with a side of syrup or a carmel drizzle with whipped cream drizzle would have elevated it. It's beautiful inside and fun ambience wise, the staff were super friendly and attentive, I just wish the food delivered as much as the pictures suggest they did. I would come again, I would order the coffee and try different items.

Club lounge kind of vibe if you're into that. Not the mood for 8 am for me. So unexpectedly walked into that not knowing lol For the food I ordered it took about 30 minutes to get and it was a fairly large plate for 22 dollars (it should be for that price) however the food was cold and only slightly warm in the inside of the middle. I read the other reviews mentioning this. So it's definitely a reoccurring thing here. I guess it's cool to come and have mimosas and hang out and listen to music but wouldn't recommend ordering food . For vibes only

The server was very kind, but overall this restaurant was disappointing and overpriced -- definitely not what I was expecting. If your goal is to drink and enjoy a party vibe, this place might be for you. I, however, came hoping for a good breakfast. The coffee was absolutely rancid. They put it in a containter and pump the coffee out of there. Wonder when those containters were cleaned last.The chilaquiles (we tried both red and green) were maybe a 6/10 at best. The green chilaquiles were put together nicely and passed the taste test, but this place really needs to do better. On top of that, they charge extra for basics like adding an egg or protein to the chilaquiles, even though it didn't come with any. We were asked how we wanted our eggs cooked but weren't told there would be an extra charge. The horchata, couldn't tell you if it was good because we never got it. The menu felt very limited -- oddly, most of the "brunch" items came topped with ice cream. For my grandmother, the best I could order was a plain waffle with a side of potatoes, since there really weren't any solid breakfast options. Walked in with coffee and were told no outside drinks (understandable), so we left it in the car. After being seated, it took about 10 minutes for someone to take our order and we weren't offered drinks. Food took 25-30 minutes to arrive, and our waiter never checked on us or offered refills. We ordered the huevos rancheros and chilaquiles verdes, both around $20. Both lacked flavor, and the chilaquiles were extremely dry. After tracking down our waiter, we let her know and were offered only a $2 discount on a dish we didn't even eat. Disappointing food and inattentive service for the price. read more

The over all vibe of the restaurant was good! The food portions were very questionable! I ordered the French Toast, eggs and hash browns. The French toast looked like two big bricks! The crust was so thick it was inedible. The middle of the toast was basically a cinnamon roll. The eggs where so small it fit in a tiny bowl like container.... Now the hash browns were just this goop slapped on a plate it looked anything other than edible! This is some horrible food I wouldn't give this shit to my dog. Update : it's now 2 hours after I had Eaten there and I'm having stomach problems.... No need to say more you get it. read more

This place is amazing!!! My friend and I met here as a half way point and oh my gosh! It was delicious. I loved the Mexican twist on the omelettes. They had amazing mimosas & cute vibes (great selfies and decor areas)! Service was okay, it was definitely super busy and understaffed. My husband and kids went to the new spot in Riverside and we were so excited had high hopes but honestly the food is average we got the Wilma which we all shared and we liked I got the abuelita iced and it was good but my mole chilaquiles were ehhhh lacked flavor, my husband got the pork chops and the combination the the plate was weird (porkchops with melted American cheese, pickles and an egg on top) we won't be coming back Also I feel like they rushed to open because they still don't have their liquor license and the decor or butterflies and vines gives me little girl's room vibes. If you want fun pictures for your Instagram then this is the place but the food needs work. read more

They just opened - well recently. They didn't have a liquor license so no drinks to make it a bit more tolerable. The food is okay, maybe under seasoned I had Birria omelet. Meat was okay. Eggs no salt. Nothing special. My GF had some strange strawberry pancake. The texture was rubber and strange. The fake strawberry was gross. I feel like these places that focus on vibe with "shows" for serving food should focus on the food. After the show nobody comes for mediocre food. read more

YUM!! Went for brunch yesterday and was so happy they were open on Mondays! Most of my usual spots are closed on Mondays. We went on the 2nd day it opened. The vibe is trendy and cool. I love all the butterflies and floral decor. It feels like a mom's place. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. err for 19 dollar, you would expect the chocolate pancakes to taste like chocolate... it didn't. it took a minute for the food to arrive too. it's really just 3 dark looking pancakes smothered in chocolate sauce, and a singular small scoop of chocolate ice cream on top as the only condiments i had. no where in sight was a bottle of syrup nor was i offered some. other than that it was too overcrowded. i was seated right away at the bar since it was just me. i had to waive to get anyone's attention though. like no greeting no nothing from anyone, and i had to ask if i could put an order with the bartender, after he spent 10 minutes just making straight drinks. parking was difficult to find in the dingy parking lot, i was the first to decide to just park on the other side of the gate, when i came out 3 other cars decided to also park there and put me in a tight spot. i missed it when it was placita. read more

The Mazapán Latte is a perfect melody for anyone who is addicted to mazapán like me. We need to take about Madres Chilaquiles. Who would ever thought of adding birria but pork rinds to this dish. It is so flavorful and delicious. We also had The Frenchy (French toast). These dishes are a delight that you begin to eat and savor with your eyes followed by your taste buds. I can't say enough other than I will be back to try more of their specialties and flavorful lattes. There's no way that the food does service. They are in par one in one. First time at this location, we were initially greeted by Ana, her energy was so welcoming. She made sure to go over the specials and even gave some recommendations. The matcha was good, milk over powered a bit so not too "grassy" like other people say. The chilaquiles were good 7/10, maybe if they had more of the sauce that would've bumped it up, regardless definitely recommend. The setting was great, clean, and the music was poppin. read more

Wow! We found this place on a whim and so glad we did. My sis stopped in and we both got Chilaquiles. It was so big we probably could have shared one dish but we didn't know the portions would be so good. We left with to go plates and we will be eating this later. read more

Had high hopes for this place. The design was inviting but the service was terrible. We got our drinks and the waiter said he'd be back to take our order. So much time had passed that I asked my friend we ordered our food right? We hadn't placed our order and we were searching for where the server was. After finally getting our order, the food came. Food was pretty good but I was really upset with the service which brought down the quality of everything for me. It wasn't even a full house which upset me even more. read more

Our first time here and let me tell you, I'm coming back with all my friends. Jessica, our server, was absolutely the sweetest person I've ever met. She recommended the chilango with the green sauce and man, I'm still drooling. I'm a red sauce girl through and through, but this green sauce has me in a chokehold. We also got the steak and eggs with a side of the habenero salsa and it hit!! The fried jalapeños were magic with a shake of salt per her advice. All in all? Honestly the food wasn't even that bad. What did it for me was that the food came out cold and we waited over 45 minutes for it to come out. I understand, it was busy. but we didn't get our drinks ordered until 15 minutes of being there. I noticed that the server only prioritized tables with 3+ people because the table beside us got their waters immediately after being seated and there was 4 of them. Went today for breakfast arrived around 10:00 am going to start off by saying the food was delicious & our server was very nice but was not very attentive took him 15 minutes to take our order & mind you that's when we ordered our drinks. Once the order was placed the food came out very fast but once again we didn't have napkins or utensils to eat. I did bring my consent to the manager & he brushed it off when I told him he needs more staff because one server can't handle all the tables. (He was very rude) won't be going back.. read more

As far as options go, I think there's a decent selection of more unique syrups for coffees. They do change it up throughout the year. The drinks here are definitely more of a premium price point, but I think they're generally good. Upon looking at the receipt, the person who took my order just gave me a regular cafe latte and didn't add the syrup I requested. The coffee was fine, but I would have liked trying something new. I have gotten several of their food options before, and I think that some of them are well-priced for the portion and some can be more on the expensive side. I think the avocado toast was pretty robust and was a good value. The steak and eggs are somewhat hit or miss, and I have had it multiple times. The cut of the meat can be chewy at times, and then also more lean and tender other times. Sometimes it comes with large pieces of chewy fat, which isn't quite to my taste. The sandwich options generally are a good value. I do kind of wish they switched up their menu a bit more often, since this current menu is rather basic and they have had more interesting food options before. Overall, a decent choice for a more premium coffee, tea, and food for the Downtown/UCR area of Riverside. Service is okay, and I have had somewhat mixed experiences with that. The employees generally seem pleasant and they're nice, but I have gotten incorrect orders at least a couple of times. During this particular visit, in which the photos are from, I had to ask two different people to get extra napkins. Our actual server was the first to acknowledge, then possibly forgot and didn't come back.

Ate here 09-30-25. Really enjoyed this spot! Would love to come again! Ambience is really great! The art on the walls is beautiful and the music gave me modern loungey club vibes, but was quiet enough to hold a conversation. I was digging it. Food was presented well, delivered in a reasonable time and more importantly was delicious. I had the Gold Bowl and my husband had the Birria. The "vinaigrette" from the Gold Bowl tasted more like soy sauce, imo. It wasn't terrible but I think for such a fresh bowl with salad and salmon, it would be better to have incorporated a type of berry sauce to keep the freshness rather than make it so salty. Luckily, it's on the side so you can add it by choice. Also decided to splurge and have the Horchata and Banana shake. Weird combo for us to be eating with our food, but the heart wants what the heart wants, haha! Both were very delicious. Alexis was our server. He was very attentive and super friendly. Definitely made the place a very welcoming environment. If I was to give a "con" about this experience, I would advise the worker who was sitting at the bar area on his phone and greeted us (if it was his responsibility or if he was on break, I don't know?) to not let the customer "sit wherever you like on this side" if not all the tables are clean and floor isn't swept underneath it. I couldn't see until I sat down at the table, but it definitely needed a good wipe down (which was done promptly once we sat without asking) and there were some broken tortilla chips under the table. I didn't mention that to the greeter, because it wasn't THAT huge of a deal for me. Oh! And I'm not a fan of plastic cups for water. I really do prefer glass for a restaurant. **Madre Brunch - Riverside, CA** My wife and I stopped by Madre Brunch for a lunch date, excited to try their take on classic Chilaquiles. She opted for the Mole Chilaquiles, while I went with the Madre Chilaquiles, both accompanied by a side of seasoned potato wedges. To round out the meal, we shared their signature coffee flight--an intriguing selection of four different Mexican-style coffees. The coffee flight was a pleasant surprise, offering a nice variety of flavors that showcased traditional Mexican influences. Each cup had its own distinct profile, making for an enjoyable tasting experience. Unfortunately, the food itself was a bit of a letdown. While the flavors were solid, the overall execution missed the mark due to one recurring issue--dryness. The potato wedges, though well-seasoned, were noticeably dry. The Chilaquiles followed suit; my wife's dish came with grilled chicken on the side, which suffered the same fate. Mine featured Birria and a fried egg, with the Birria itself carrying great flavor, as did the red sauce, but the dryness of the dish detracted from the experience. Additionally, our plates arrived only warm rather than hot, which diminished the vibrancy of the flavors. On a positive note, service was outstanding. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and well-versed in the menu, ensuring a great dining experience from that perspective. The ambience also deserves mention--the restaurant has a clean, inviting atmosphere that makes for a comfortable visit. Overall, Madre Brunch has potential, but there are execution issues that need fine-tuning. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Madras Brunch, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The restaurant itself is welcoming, with a vibrant atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. I have been to Madres Brunch twice and have loved everything I've gotten each time. The first time we came was on a Sunday around noon and we did have to wait a little over an hour to get sat but once we placed our order the food arrived super quickly. I was hesitant to try the red chilaquiles since I feel like restaurants just can't get the sauce right here in the states but Madres delivered! They tasted like my grandma's red chilaquiles (without the spiciness). The churro French toast was one of the best things I've ever had and their iced coffee flight was amazing. I had the horchata, abuelita, pistachio, and mazapan flight. I don't hate mazapan but I don't love it either but the mazapan iced coffee was one of the best things I've ever tasted. The pistachio one was a bit of a let down, I didn't think it was good but since it was part of the flight it didn't feel like a waste. The horchata and abuelita coffees weren't bad but next to the mazapan one they fell short. Overall, I would definitely keep coming back. Even when the wait times are long the service is quick and the food is great. read more

Today was our first visit to Madres Brunch. We were seated very quickly and our server Mary made us feel at home. She recommended a few things for us and we loved each and every thing she picked out for us. I had the Mazapan Latte and the chilaquiles verdes. The portions were huge and we still managed to clear our plates! My husband ordered the chilaquiles de mole and he said they were amazing. Our daughter had the Journey Pancakes and you must know this plate is an experience of its own! So so fun! We also had our 8 month old baby with us and even the baby loved this place! The ambiance is so bright and colorful. The walls have beautiful art throughout the entire restaurant. Our baby was so entertained with the decor, it made our experience 10 times better since we didn't have to worry too much about keeping her entertained. Our server Mary was so attentive and polite. She kept making her way to our table often to make sure we were well taken care of. We had a great brunch overall 10/10. We will definitely be coming back and bringing friends and family here. read more

Service: 5/5 Our server, Dee, was very quick and checked often, amazing service overall Food: 4/5 Food presentation was top notch, as well as the flavor of the dishes. Traditional dishes were made to match a modern taste, but still have that traditional touch to them. Furthermore, the combination of Mexican flavor alongside other cuisines made it taste so much better! The only reason it lost 1 rating is due to the side of salsa lacking some flavor, it carried heat, but missed the mark when adding to food. Furthermore the strawberry agua Fresca tasted a little too artificial, almost too sweet, so it also missed a bit there, but the food itself slapped, portions were hefty and delicious. Atmosphere: 5/5 Very cute, colorful, pink, vibrant, this place screams out "BRUNCH VIBES" the moment you see the exterior and when you walk in. Overall: 5/5 I just rounded up to 5, but this is a very welcomed addition to the Riverside area and if you want to have a nice fast, friendly meal definitely stop by while you're in the area. read more

Madres Brunch is a spot I would happily recommend to family and friends. I've visited twice, and both times the food,and especially the chilaquiles,were absolutely exquisite. The Chilaquiles Rojos and the Birria Chilaquiles are standouts and a must-try for anyone who loves chilaquites. Prices are fair considering the combination of quality food, friendly service, and the Intagramable atmosphere. The coffee is decent, but the Horchata Latte is what truly shines. On my most recent visit, I noticed a discrepancy on my check regarding an item that had been overcharged. When I brought it up, both the waitress and the manager handled it with professionalism and grace. They explained that the menu needed updating to reflect the new price, thanked me for pointing it out, and honored the old price without hesitation. I wouldn't have minded paying the updated price, especially given how good the food was, but their respectful and courteous approach really stood out. read more

Where do I start... I came in here with my husband for a brunch date to have the MOST HORRIBLE experience. the host who i dont know her name ignored us standing there for a good 2 minutes and when i said excuse me she just put her hand in my face, then she sat us at a dirty table. My server, ericka was very rude and even when i tried to fight it with kindness she responded with passive aggressiveness and eye rolls. which whatever we decided to try to ignore it. Our food was okay chilaquiles were stale. when i went to go leave feedback to the manager i think his name was ruby or rueben he was very dismissive and unapologetic. ive been to madres once before at the rancho location and had a better experience by MILES. will be going back there this place is just as ghetto as area is. If I could give you zero stars I would, we got there about 11:45 and were told the wait time was 30 minutes we waited in the car came out and were told we still needed to wait another 20 minutes. We waited outside for half an hour and checked in and were told we were next. Then a group the came in 40 minutes after us was seated before us. There was a large group waiting before us and we're getting frustrated the hostess kept telling everyone 20 minutes was the wait . Then when someone complained about waiting two hours the hostess decided to tell the customer that she did like her attitude when she was expressing the frustration of the 2 hour wait. The hostess was a tool and should fine another job she was complaining because she had to help buss tables because they were short staffed. Never again am I coming to this circus and I will make sure know of my friends ever experience it either read more

let me start by saying very cute restauran. excellent service ! and food was great! Started with the special flight which had 3 different coffees rate 1-5: horchata (2) if you like sweet then this is not your taste pistacho(5) my favorite ,abuelita(4) a bit too concentrated ,and mazapán(3) did not really have that mazapán taste I was expecting I ordered the mole chilaquiles (5) and let me tell you this was sooo good and the plate serving was more than expected this could actually feed two ! Last but not least we ordered the churro french toast (4) a bit dry to my liking but a great flavor Let me tell you about the service ! Our server was. First time here and I'm already impressed! From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch. The hostess, Anna was incredibly welcoming and well-informed -- she answered all our questions with ease and gave some great recommendations. Our waitress, Cindy, was especially wonderful -- so kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our meal. She made us feel right at home and really added to the overall experience. Don't let social media fool you. This place is overhyped and overpriced dont come here on an empty stomach because you'll leave disappointed. This place is known for their chilaquiles which were good i just dont know why they would sell the chilaquiles with no eggs. You have to pay an addition 2$ per egg if you want eggs in your chilaquiles. There are no refills on the drinks. And the drinks range from 6$+ & a lemonade is 7$ (no refills). This place overall has really poor service i waited over 45 min just for the check , my plates were picked up and i was waiting on the table for just the check. Pancakes have a rubbery texture as well. Servers will do anything but come check on you. I had to waive and get up and chase my waiter multiple times and he still didn't give me the time of day. read more

Madres offers a charming atmosphere that's perfect for those who appreciate aesthetics, but our recent brunch experience had its ups and downs. I tried the chilaquiles divorciados, which were more like tostadas divorciados, and found them lacking in flavor. My niece enjoyed her Popeye omelet, although the mixed green salad's vinaigrette was a bit too reminiscent of apple cider vinegar for her taste. My sister opted for the 2 egg breakfast; however, she found the bacon not as crispy as she'd prefer, and the hash browns were more like mashed potatoes. Additionally, we weren't offered refills during our visit. While Madres has a lovely setting, if you're looking for a more satisfying culinary experience, I'd recommend trying Yolis instead. read more

My fiance and I just moved into a new home close by and wanted to find a good brunch spot. I found Madres on google maps and decided to give it a try. We have their Horchata Latte iced and it was DELICIOUS. Not too sweet but not too bitter either! Then I ordered the chilaquiles rojos. The presentation was beautiful and the taste was even better. Maybe we came on a good day but the food wasn't dry at all and was full of rich flavor. The chilaquiles weren't too spicy so that was a big plus for me. The service was great. Super friendly staff and we were always checked. We also got our food quickly. The restaurant overall wasn't too loud, we came at around 1pm on a Friday. This will definitely be one of returning spots. read more
