The large is perfect for sharing and definitely seems like a better value for your money in terms of portion size compared to the small size. If you'd like more info check out my previous reviews of El Moro. They churros are made as you order them. They are always fresh, hot and deliciously crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. A must. You can watch them make the churros through a large window. They also just introduced a Mazapan shake that i have yet to try. It is basically a peanut butter shake. They now have 2 locations in SoCal. This one in Costa Mesa inside the Northgate market and another one in Echo Park (Los Angeles) Delicious Churros, great service, Lively spot. To be fair, there wasn't a large selection available when we visited, so it's possible they have other pastries or desserts that are much better than what we tried. However, based on our experience, the item we purchased was disappointing, and the $12 definitely didn't feel well spent. On the positive side, the décor and overall aesthetic were lovely and were probably the bakery's strongest feature. When I combined the swirl together , the matcha definitely took the spotlight. It kind of overpowered the milk swirl but I didn't mind it because I'm a matcha lover. It still balanced out nicely.
