They took such care in my home and were so respectful and efficient! They assisted with some installation questions I had and got right to work. They were so careful moving my furniture around and I was so touched that they made sure my bed area was cleared at the end of their upstairs workdays so I didn't have to sleep on the couch. They used plastic sheeting to mask off closet and bathroom contents to keep the dust down as much as possible due to the floor leveling process. They set up shop in my garage and at the end of each of the 5 days tidied the work spaces and swept up the garage very thoroughly. F and L..... thank you so much. First impression meeting with Rafi was good. Unfortunately it just went downhill from there. The…read morefirst team who did our floor and stairs seemed to be professional as well. We did feel 12 bags of self leveling concrete was excessive when it looked like it was only used on a few corners of the room in a job less than 900 sq feet. Unfortunately one of the stair nosing broke within a couple weeks of install. Rafi was responsive in redoing the stairs stating it was a manufacturing defect and that the new version is stronger. Unfortunately the second team quality of work was very poor. They left holes in our walls that were patched poorly with plaster. Worst of all the stairs were apparently nailed to the subfloor and after a few weeks they started to rise leaving little holes and nails protruding from the floor. A few of the stair noses are loose as well. At this point, Rafi became unresponsive to have the flooring fixed. We ended up getting some of our money back through our credit card after months went by but the majority of the payment was by check. Basically we will need to replace the stairs again on our own dime. Buyer beware! Lifetime warranty doesn't mean anything if the installer ghosts you.

While the work done was adequate, I would NEVER recommend them due to a few serious issues. First, during installation, Rafi told me the floor needed leveling here and there and that it would be extra. So I agreed to it. However, a part of the floor in the living room clearly isn't level because you can see where the floor dips slightly beneath the baseboard. Second, his workers busted my wood shutters in the same room. I never noticed any of this until later. On top of that, he never finished the job! I told him I was going to have some new interior doors installed after the floor installation. Toward the end, he told me his foreman Caleb recommended they wait to install transition strips in the bathroom and laundry room until after the doors were installed. It didn't make complete sense to me (nor to the door installers), but I said okay and gave Rafi the final payment, trusting they would return to finish the job. Now, he doesn't respond to calls or text messages, or he tells me his workers will be out and they never show up. DO NOT make the same mistake and give these shady characters your business. As a footnote, most positive reviews you read for this company and the previous owner, Guy, are from BEFORE Rafi bought the company. Do your research and steer clear of My Flooring Guy in Huntington Beach.

There was a huge miscommunication with every person that has shown up to our home, with guys even not coming at all unless I called Julio. We had asked for the tub to get new caulking and silicone and were under the assumption that he would remove the old one, dry it out, reinstall, etc. but he just added a new layer on top. By the 4th day of this I knew no one was coming so I ended up finding other contractors. They also hooked up the pipes in our vanity and the hot and cold water are swapped, and it started leaking. Sadly I feel like I was naïve to think one flooring company can do everything I requested and the work should have been split between other contractors.

1/21/26 Downstairs floor replacement project…read more Our downstairs flooring only lasted 4 years due to high humidity and no underlayment. When we first installed, the manufacture did not recommend an additional underlayment but the humidity simply killed our vinyl planks. We tried glue, filler and then clear tape. Nothing worked and it was simply terrible in appearance. I reached out to Alan end of last year to report the need of new flooring. He came to check out the areas and agreed it was due to humidity. We chose a new flooring only lasted color and type since our current one was discontinued. We opted for a new water resistant laminate that requires an underlayment which was needed in our case. We got the floors redone 1/21/26. The guys finished in 4.5 days. Good team and workmanship. I felt really bad that we were supposed to move all the little things beforehand and it completely slipped my mind. I thought they would move the furniture from one side of the room to the side but they ended up moving everything out in the garage. Due to all the cutting dust, everything brought out was covered in a layer of dust. I had to clean everything off upon the move back in which was tedious. I wish they would have recommended me to buy some plastic coverings. The half day on Sunday, the guys helped move the pool table back, completed last minute touch ups and re-installed my quartz on the vanity to fit under the mirror. They did a fantastic job and considering they had to reuse my old baseboards, it was nicely preserved for reinstall after the new floors were laid. Despite of the small hiccup with lots of dust on furniture, I was very satisfied with the crew's install. It's so nice to have flat and smooth floors again. As always, Alan visited in person daily to ensure progress, and address any concerns we had. We have been loyal to Alan for many years. I appreciate his continued transparency in business practice. Contracted them to install an oak hardwood floor, lacing into the existing floor in the house…read more Initially after they were done I would have rated the work a C-, but after a few days the floor has started to fail, so now it's a solid F. The finish on the floor was novice level work. Heavy tooling marks all over, smeared stain, splattered topcoat. That was my reason for the C-. Within a week many of the boards have detached and come up. I've also noticed: huge sections of the flooring were never fastened; the sanding is so bad that it's visibly lumpy in several areas; there are large gaps that were not filled and stained properly. And to top it off they had the highest quote of the bunch. The people working there are nice and pleasant, and very responsive. They offered to come back and redo it. But given the range and severity of problems I did not trust them to do further work. All around a complete waste of my time and money.

2023 update: there are just too many little things to ignore, after having done our 3rd property…read morewith them. First, because our properties are not in OC, but the surrounding counties, they won't send someone to come and properly measure the space. So the estimate ends up seeming reasonable but then doubles upon work completion. Then there are always extra charges that if you don't read your invoice carefully, they will 'mistakenly' put on there. I've caught a couple of errors. Finally, no one has mentioned this, but their labor warranty is only 6 months. Some of the quarter rounds they've installed for us have started to peel away from the walls, not even a year in. And of course, there will now be a charge to send someone out to repair as it's after 6 months. Not a huge deal, but I hate to be nickeled and dimed so we won't be taking that option. Docking a star for these little annoyances that have come up throughout our various projects, though will probably end up hiring again due to their speed and short lead time.
