I've never been a fan of YELP... I feel like their reviews are outrageously inaccurate. So when I looked on YELP to find Maggie's phone number and saw these reviews, I had to post mine... I'm new to the area and coming from New York, it's been hard to find a go to restaurant. We've tried everything until we came across Maggie's. The new location in Manchester is warm and inviting, kind of a rustic chic feel to it. I love decor, they really did a great job designing it. Like no other restaurant in the area! The staff is friendly, management is great but most importantly, the food is consistently fantastic. It is ALWAYS fresh, nothing is processed. They have so many options. Being a vegetarian , it has been impossible to find places with a menu that'll please both my husband (meat lover) and myself (veggie burger fanatic). I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I ate at the Manchester Maggie McFly's last night. The service was terrible. It took forever to get our food and even longer to get drinks. Once we did get our meals, they screwed up almost every order at our table. When we did get our (correct) meals, the food was sub-par at best. When we communicated these problems to management, one of the managers was rude and unprofessional. The restaurant's music was also very loud. You have to yell at each other across the table in order to be heard. Maggie McFly's management compensated our party for $119 worth of food and drink before we left. This was a very generous gesture. Unfortunately, the many errors made by the staff, the very long wait times for food and drinks, the lackluster entrees, the rude and unprofessional behavior of management, and the excessive volume of the music inside of the building are going to keep myself and the rest of my party from ever frequenting this establishment again. Everything is always on point when I go. From a regulars perspective the only thing that gets me is the music towards the end of the night. The music gets really slow and it makes me tired as well as not in the happy social mood. I can understand the idea of getting people in and out but it definitely hurts business to an extent. I am currently listening to "Wild Horses" and everyone around me is fighting to stay awake. The food is overpriced for the quality. Do not get a BLT unless you like it soaked in mayonnaise. The Shepard's pie was just a bowl of gravy and strange stringy things. Food quality is good portion size could be larger and prices could be a bit more reasonable due to the pre stated reasons mentioned, i had the seafood paella and it arrived at my table is a cast iron crock which one would think would keep it hot and it was luke warm at best and for $20 the ratio of seafood to rice was highly unbalanced and after removing all the shells and such i ended up with still more rice than seafood. My girlfriend enjoyed her pretzel bun but wasnt so thrilled about the pulled bbq that was on it in all honesty i feel that if your gonna call a menu item a SEAFOOD PAELLA you should have more seafood than anything else and that you should make sure the serving vessel its in keeps the food hot from kitchen to table... So after about a year sabbatical from Maggie McFly's in Manchester after having a horrible experience with an awful wait (over an hour) to get our food ... which was a simple salad, burger and kids grilled cheese only to have the waiter completely drop our whole tray of food on his way to our table... I decided to pack the kids up and give it a second try today as a celebration of the end of the school year and boy was I disgusted again. We ordered two kids grilled cheeses (which I should compliment as the grilled cheese was good size and opting for the sides of fruit the kids chowed large bowls of fresh fruit...) and 2 salads. Shortly after diving into my salad a bug came crawling out... It takes a lot to get me disgusted but that did it. I quickly flagged over the waitress and explained the situation and told her I did not want to finish the salad anymore and my mom who was joining us and eating the same salad was as disgusted and no longer wanted her salad either. A manager soon came to the table and the first question she asked was "well what kind of bug was it? just a gnat?" First of all, it doesn't matter what kind of bug it was its still gross and no it wasn't just a gnat, it was a large green flying bug... How about "I'm so sorry"... nope never got an apology... We were offered another salad or something else but knowing the kids were finishing up and would get antsy as soon as they were done and being completely disgusted we both opted to just go without, have a couple bits of the kids grilled cheese crust and go on our way. Obviously the restaurant refunded the price of our salads and as we let the kids finish up I feel as though we were completely ostracized. No one paid any mind to our table from then on out... no one offered to refill either of our waters that were both sitting empty, no one checked in on us at all... the waitress came over and handed us the check and that was our only encounter with anyone after returning our meals which the bug was truly enjoying... Completely disappointed and so unfortunate as we have been to every Maggie McFly's in the state and love the menu, love the food, love the atmosphere but Manchester... get it together. Will take the 20 minute drive to Glastonbury next time. Heck will even head to the Southbury location before coming back to Manchester again. read more

Huge menu with some very tasty sounding drinks and dishes. Ultimate margarita was good, not the best, not worth the $12. I ordered the tuna peppadew melt, which was cold, not hot and melty. The bread was greasy from the grilling. Fries were good. Husband's burger was better a 4/5, the blue cheese burger with local grass fed beef. From the outside this place really catches the eye, it's beautiful. This place is newer so the design is sleek, creative and very clean. I originally planned to go to Longhorns, but this place caught my attention so I decided to try. The anterior is very nice and accommodates a lot of people, I sat in the bar area which would be perfect on a weeknight to hangout and watch a sporting game as there are numerous amounts of tvs. They have over 40 beers on tap which is great. I started the night off with a strawberry margarita, which was okay. I have had a lot better elsewhere it seemed to be sitting for awhile due to the fact that it was melted at the bottom. The service was alright, a little slow at times. They have a great happy hour menu. We ordered the Mac and cheese balls, which were very bland which I would not recommend. Next, we had the mini bacon cheeseburgers which were great, nice and juicy. We got the buff chicken blasts which were alright, nothing special. The portions were smaller but worth the $3.99 price tag. We ended with the white pizza, which was very tasty. I would like to come here again and try other things on the menu. been to maggies probably half a dozen times for dinner and happy hour and let me tell you it is fantastic! every time our waiter/waitress is on point and one even remembered our whole group from a previous visit! she was not our waitress that night and still took the time to say hi! the menu has such a wide variety it can come across as overwhelming but I love it since you can find basically any type of food on there! the menu can also come across as pricy but I always have leftovers. come here to watch a lot of the games because the bar is huge, the tables are comfy, and you have a great view of the game from any seat! the tvs are big and clear. Nothing seems to go out of its way in being spectacular but there's something for everyone and I've never had a problem finding something to eat here (usually I have to choose between 3 things that sound tasty). My husband kept raving about this place for a long time, so I decided to try this out on Valentine's Day dinner with him. We were taken to our seats promptly, but then the table was very wet and the seats were dirty. I was completely put off as the person took their own sweet time to come back and even notice that we both were still standing. We ordered the Maggie's appetizer favorites and a virgin pina colada. Our waiter informed graciously that the Tex mex egg rolls weren't available and can be substituted with any other appetizer. We opted for crispy coconut shrimp. Me not being a fan of spinach and artichoke, was first skeptical to try it. But the dip was to die for. The texture and the flavor still lingers in my mouth. The chicken wings were good. Nothing great. The coconut shrimp was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Tasted delicious with the pina colada dipping sauce. The appetizer being a success we were really in mood for experimenting, so ordered the bang bang chicken and shrimp. Please take my word and try this out. It was one of the best decisions. Absolutely flavorful. Didn't know that coconut, shrimp and chicken could mix so beautifully. This dish is the only reason I m giving five stars in spite of the early dirty table disaster. I've eaten here about fifteen times and I really want to like it. But I always leave underwhelmed and regretting my decision to spend my evening here. First, their menu is a blatant rip off of Cheesecake Factory and the food is not a quarter as good. The sauces taste bland and overly oily / greasy. They do have fresh local selections which is compelling, but the quality of cooking with those ingredients does not do them justice. So I don't know what's going on in the kitchen, but there are a lot of issues tonight. I ordered a medium burger, it came out completely well done. My friend ordered a naughty nurse, and they came out with a completely different drink stating "it's the fancy name for it". I want to love this Maggie's location, I really do, because it's much closer to me now but honestly I haven't had as good of service or food here compared to the one in Glastonbury. The last few times I've been here my waitress has gotten my order or people at my table orders completely wrong where it just shows a lack of listening and carelessness. I've noticed the food quantity and quality constantly changes everytime I come here as well, while you know exactly what you're getting at the one in Glastonbury. I think Manchester needs to revamp their staff and work on quality of service as well as focusing on standardizing the food in the kitchen.
