The local ingredients hit the spot and the truffle fries paired excellently. The blood orange margarita was also super delicious. I actually could not believe that I haven't been here before! This is truly the place for everyone since they have anything you could want to dine on from seafood, steak, pasta, pizza, salads, burgers, sandwiches, and more. We got their burgers and they were huge and so tasty! I got the farm to table burger and that's truly how you make a burger. My husband got the Bigg Magg and the fried pickles on top was such a great touch. These sweet potato fries were some of the best and added this restaurant to our list of go to places. For an app we tried the Buffalo blasts and we couldn't stop eating them, they were so good! Drinks were great, and our waitress was great too! So disappointing. We live close to Maggies so it is a go to spot for us for lunch. Normally we go into the restaurant but today we decide to order take out. SO disappointing. The total bill was $65 which is ridiculous but we did it any way. We ordered clam chowder soup which consisted of exactly 1 ladle full. We also ordered chicken and garlic pasta which is one of my favorites, chicken was dry, there is zero garlic zero flavor and no peas which is part of the dish. So it cost $20.00 for pasta I could have bought at the store for $1.00. From now on I will stick to Longhorn! oooo and you can't do a side caesar salad and add protein you have to order the large salad with protein and the protein was a few pieces of chicken that cost an extra $10.00. This is the email I just sent corporate to share my experience, I figured I'd copy and paste instead of rehashing it. Hello, I'm writing because I had an uncomfortable experience at Maggie McFly's today that I feel is important to share, especially because this restaurant has been such a big part of my son's life. We've celebrated multiple birthday gatherings here, as well as his middle school graduation. It's genuinely his place. It is not my personal favorite, but we come because he insists Maggie McFly's has the best grilled cheese. Every visit, without fail, we order two grilled cheeses for him. Today, he ate the first one and it was perfectly fine. When he started on the second, he immediately said it tasted fishy. He kept trying to eat it because he didn't want to make a fuss, so about half of it was gone by the time we let our server know. She was very friendly and immediately said she would bring it to the manager. What happened next is what prompted me to reach out. The manager came over holding the half-eaten grilled cheese at an angle, almost like she was presenting it as evidence. The first thing she said was, "I'm confused, half of this is already eaten." My son explained again that it tasted fishy, and instead of empathy or even a simple "I'm sorry that happened," she repeated, "I'm still confused," as if she didn't believe him. There was no apology, no attempt to make the situation right, just an attitude that left both of us feeling uncomfortable. I even said, very clearly, that he was still hungry and I was happy to pay for another sandwich. I wasn't asking for anything free. I simply wanted my son to get something he could eat. Later, after the replacement sandwich came, she walked up behind us, saw that I had the Maggie McFly's website open on my phone, and said, "Did that come out better for you guys?" The tone suggested nothing had just happened, as if she hadn't been dismissive minutes earlier. The disconnect felt jarring. We got an $8 credit toward the bill at the end. The entire interaction felt dismissive and shaming, especially with the way she held the sandwich and questioned him. And the impact was immediate. My son walked out saying he never wants to come back, and that's really the most unfortunate part. This restaurant has been his favorite for years, the place he chooses for milestones and celebrations, and the one time he spoke up about something being wrong, he was made to feel small for it. read more

Menu is impressively huge, so there will definitely be something for everyone. It's got a hip vibe with lots of TVs at the bar area and big, comfy booths. Service was pretty slow. They were also very stingy with plates. Plates usually come with appetizers, in my experience, but not here. We asked for a couple extras to divvy up the apps and received tiny plates. Then we asked for bigger plates. They did relent eventually. Was a bit weird though. Thoughts on food: -difference between snacks and apps was unclear and was basically the same thing -black angus beef skewers were a little pricey for 3, but the meat was juicy and I dug the rice noodle garnish it came with and enjoyed that as an extra snack -giant pretzel has a good crunchy exterior and soft interior. The cheese sauce was really watery but the mustard sauce was fine -broccolini was a good portion -maple roasted sweet potatoes were great, sweet little bites -campfire s'mores was a really unique dessert. A little tableside flame and the fixings to make your own sandwich. The flames were very low, which is probably a safety thing, so roasting took forever, but it's a unique dessert offering I was glad to try out. Overall there were some hits and misses, but the food was still pretty good and has a lot of offerings if you are bringing a group. They have a display case with some of their big cupcakes. Went for a lunch on Easter Sunday. Our waitress was wonderful. Bartenders messed up a margarita and we weren't charged for it regardless. Please take spareribs off the menu. It's ridiculous. You have not had spare ribs and years, but yet , you still advertise them? Ordered prime rib and it was cooked on a flat top like a ribeye steak in very thin. The entire experience from start to finish was a disaster. Our waitress wanted to do well but stumbled at every turn. Our cocktails weren't delivered until after the beers we ordered on the advice of our server bc the bar was backed up. They were all delivered at the same time so that the beers, which came out lukewarm to begin with, were not enjoyable at all by the time we got to them. The entire delivery experience was disastrous. My burger had to be sent back because it was cooked well done instead of medium rare and when the replacement came out, it clearly had the same condiment dressing from before. Our server was well meaning but very clumsy. The ladies room was disastrous-completely unattended, not stocked and filthy. The whole experience was just very unpleasant. I'll be very honest. I have never been a fan of Maggie's. I've visited the Glastonbury location numerous times and have never found any redeeming qualities. But that all changed when I visited the Manchester location. The decor is much nicer, bar area is larger and cleaner, staff is friendly and helpful. We had a large group of 12-16 people so I was expecting the worst after all my bad experiences in Glastonbury but they proved me wrong! Everything came out fast and hot. Drinks were made great, everyone was pleased. I ordered a salad and the portion was HUGEEEEE. Totally worth the money. I always fight when someone asks me to go to Maggie's in Gbury but I won't complain if they ask to go to Manchester after the very positive experience I had here. My only *negative* is that the menu is Cheesecake Factory status - thicker than an encyclopedia. It can be a bit overwhelming trying to decide what to eat. I went to Maggie McFlys on St Patrick's Day for dinner with2 friends. We were seated straight away in a booth near the bar. I have a Gluten allergy and I appreciate the amount of GF options at Maggie McFlys. We started with the Brussel sprouts. They were amazing. The aioli mayo just makes it all the better. I had a bacon cheeseburger, medium rare and it came medium rare. The GF bun is cheesy and my favorite GF bun. It's so good. I had sweet potato fries b/c they have a dedicated GF fryer. So good!! My friends and I were coming back from vaca and decided to stop here for lunch. I've never been here before but I enjoyed the food immensely. I liked both the indoor and outdoor decor and our waitress was friendly and enjoyable to talk to. I already went way off my normal diet during the vaca so I decided to get only vegan food. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were able to accommodate me completely. The vegan ravioli dish was very delicious. Veggie filled ravioli that were so big they reminded me of pierogis. Good bite on the pasta and the insides tasted great. Lots of fresh veggies on top including sun-dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts. The herb sauce was so good that I asked for bread to sop it all up cuz I didn't want it to go to waste. I finished with their vegan cookie dough cupcake, which was delectable. The cake portion was low sugar to offset the high sugar of the frosting and chocolate chips. Make sure to get a little bit of the top and bottom in each bite. I was very impressed by this place. So as soon as I clicked one star, the website said oh no! What could we do to improve? - What couldn't you do to improve? Let me stop. I say we've been to several other locations of Maggie McFly's and I've always had a very good experience until this time. My husband took me to Maggie McFly's for Mother's Day. I have had bariatric surgery which severely limits my stomach size and I have a card given to me by the doctor to present at restaurants When I wanna request a smaller meal or something that's the senior or children's menu. It's considered an ADA request. So I don't take advantage of this very often, but I noticed that the meal that I wanted to order was on their weekday lunch menu. So I explained my situation to our waiter who went back and asked the manager if he could grant it. I don't believe my request was effectively communicated back to the manager. But she said no. So because that's really what I felt like eating, I said well it's too bad that you won't honor an ADA request but, I guess I'm gonna order the full portion. And I did. It was a bad choice because it was absolutely tasteless. - I ordered the vegan ravioli. It barely had any sort of sauce or oil on it. It was dry, and it was bland. So the entire time we were eating, I was getting more and more annoyed about the fact that they wouldn't honor my request because it is on their menu. It shouldn't have been a big deal. So when the waiter brought the bill over we gave him the card. And then we asked to speak to the manager. She came over with such an air about her - it was borderline rude like we were bothering her. And I looked at her and I said you know I'm very disappointed that you wouldn't honor my request for a smaller portioned meal considering it's an ADA request and I showed her my card and she looked at me and she said well I didn't know and I looked at it and I said ignorance on the laws isn't acceptable in your position. And that I would be contacting management. And she said I'll contact management. She didn't offer to do anything to mitigate the situation, she didn't offer anything at all. I mean, we were done eating and I didn't expect her to but usually as a customer service focused person you do offer something. She just walked away. She should not be in a management role. So the next day I wrote a lengthy letter to headquarters. Who told me that the card given to me by the doctor was incorrect and that it's not an ADA requirement that they provide a smaller meal to me. Per the card I have, it states that they could be fined for it so I'm not sure where the disconnect is - But like I said, my request wasn't off the wall where I was asking for something that wasn't already on their menu. And because of the bad taste that that manager left in my mouth, and my tasteless food. - and then the response from management. We will not be back to Maggie McFly's. There are much better places to eat that offer. Much better customer service. read more

We ordered two sandwiches -a Nashville Hot Chicken with pickles, lettuce, tomato, and a sweet Dijon Aioli served with fries. It was outstanding -a huge slab of fried chicken, nicely spiced on a soft potato bun for $14.95. The fries were so hot they seemed as if they were taken right from the fryer and brought to our table by an Olympic sprinter. A terrific dish. My wife ordered a Turkey Club ($15.95) with a TON of roasted turkey breast, lettuce, tomato, and maple smoked bacon. It came with the same excellent fries. Now on to the other aspects of our visit which were not as good. We were seated at a booth with a wobbly table and sunlight beaming into our faces. After we moved to a different booth, there was some confusion among the staff as to whose "station" we were in. We asked for a water and a Diet Coke, and just the Diet Coke arrived. The water was forgotten. General service was slow and failed our litmus test of a "check back" to see how things were going. We asked if we could switch to a full booth as there was open booths and no one in the restaurant and was told no. My dinner was delicious. It's probably weird to say that cauliflower rice is good but this cauliflower rice was fantastic. So flavorful with asparagus and mushrooms. Loved the grilled shrimp. Cooked perfectly and came out hot. Not a fan when food comes out lukewarm. Everything on my plate was nice and hot including the squash which was also very good. My husband enjoyed his steak salad and my son got chicken tenders from the kids menu. Nice portion sizes. We didn't have room for dessert. Normally I don't enjoy "chain" restaurants but this a local chain with just a few locations in Connecticut and they have somehow retained all the charm and quality of the original. I have visited 3 of their locations so far and not been disappointed yet! The warm inviting ambiance of the cognac colored leather booths and the throwback antique light fixtures are so pleasing to the eye! The service is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had the maple BLT and the protein grain bowl with salmon. Both were undeniably tasty and significant portions. Prices are reasonable. I wish we lived closer to one of these! Went on Wednesday for lunch. Heard they had a new gluten free menu. My daughter got the new steak sandwich with fries. I got the Chinese chicken salad. Her role was awful as it was microwave to long and was hard. But the steak and fries were delicious. My salad was huge. Was so good I felt awful as I couldn't bring the leftovers home because we were going shopping for the day and it would have gone very bad in the car. We had a young man as a waiter. He was obviously new to this. He was very polite and respectful. The raspberry martini was also delicious. We will go again as there are more gluten free choices. We went with family and sat out on the patio. It was a lovely setting despite being in the mall parking lot! The menu is very expansive (20+ pages). Honestly it's a bit overwhelming. They have lots of drink options both alcoholic and nonalcoholic. Everyone at our table enjoyed their drinks. My grandma loved the glowing ice cube in her cosmo! The appetizers that we got were delicious- calamari, firecracker shrimp, deviled eggs, and fried mozzarella. The sauced to go with the appetizers was great too. I got the garlic shrimp and vegetable risotto. It was absolutely delicious. Very rich and large portion so it would be hard to eat it in one sitting. The lobster roll was tasty but nothing one at the shore. All in all it was a great dinner. Everyone can find something on the menu. I think you could go 100+ times and not be able to try everything. Server was nice and helpful. One negative is the bathrooms are not marked at all until you go around a hidden corner. They should really fix that with a tasteful sign. read more

Took a group of 8 at tithe nearest Maggie McFly's (the other is in Glastonbury) and it certainly didn't disappoint. One glance at a menu (or rather, several glances - they serve just about anything you can think of) and you may start to wonder if you made the right decision. After all, how can a restaurant that serves American, Italian, Asian, and Barbecue get it all right? Probably with a lot of practice, but I haven't been disappointed yet. My favorite to get here is the tuna poke bowl. There may be better places to get it, but I keep going for it here! Lots of delicious tuna with all the fixings! I've also gotten the BBQ brisket and pork baby back ribs (both dishes served with to-die for smoked bacon mac and cheese!) and the portions was just out of this world. I have the say that I expected a little more from their paella - it was a little soupier than I expected, but maybe I'm just new to the game (someone correct me on this). The flavors have been top notch, and the portions are appropriate for the price range. For any drinkers out there, this seems like a good place to try. I came for dinner for the first time in years and was not impressed. I love the look of this restaurant, the aviation theme, the huge bar with booths, and a menu that features local farms. However our dining experience just didn't live up to the ambience. We started with pretty simple drinks, a glass of wine, aperol spritz, and two vodka sodas. There was a back up at the bar so it took quite a while to get the drinks! Our waitress kept us in the loop and was super nice about it, and the drinks were well made once we received them. For food we started with the egg roll sampler. I wanted to love this, but the presentation gave me the ick. You could pretty much tell it was all frozen & reheated. Looking at a menu of this size, you pretty much guess most of the dishes are like that, but you hope otherwise. It was confirmed when I bit into the egg roll and it was still frozen. Yikes! The parts that were edible tasted good, though. Our entrees were decent -- nothing I'd go out of my way to have again though. I tried the new creamy garlic pasta with shrimp. The shrimp was nice, maybe a little over done, and the pasta was mushy. The sauce cheesy and tasted good. Everyone else's felt their dishes were just alright.
