Man this place caught us off guard for sure. My absolute favorite thing I first noticed was the clean lay out and ambience was perfect. Then those LIGHT CUBE MARTINIS!!! I was a huge fan of this place Until Yesterday 10/14/18..First off the TV's were so loud that I couldn't talk to the other people at my table and I couldn't hear the waitress when she spoke.On top of that people were screaming and yelling at the Football games..I wasn't aware this was a sports bar but if that was my only complaint no biggie..So we order our food,which was hard because of not being able to hear..My wife orders a coffee and there is only one sugar so we ask for sugar.Well coffee comes no sugar so we ask again,,No sugar again,,I eventually am able to stop a different server and get a little sugar but by that time the coffee is cold and not worth drinking.Not to mention the spoon that came with the coffee was filthy..Ok so my wife and son ordered burgers they come served on wooden planks,These planks are covered in grease and food and are so dirty.Both burgers buns are so soggy that the bottom buns were not edible.My chicken sandwich was so dry and flavorless..This is a place i loved to come to but after this I don't think we will be returning.60$ including tip read more

This place looks really cool on the inside, the atmosphere is lovely and the service was excellent. I enjoyed the quinoa and chickpea salad, however the rest of my meal fell flat a little. First of all, there was A LOT to choose from, the menu was probably as many pages as the book Goodnight Moon. The southwest veggie burger was mushy and flavorless, it tasted like there was a third soggy bun in between 2 toasted buns, but I was pleased with the French fries, which they gave a generous portion of. My boyfriend had a double burger, which was very pink in the middle. The manager corrected this, he was very kind and professional and even gave us a discount on our meals for the mixup without being asked. The corrected burger just seeped with grease, which I personally don't enjoy, but my boyfriend did. For dessert the sundae we had was 60% whipped cream, so that was a little disappointing. But I must reiterate that the staff was lovely, our waitress was nice and not overbearing. read more

Don't get the cupcakes. They are hard, stale, and taste like sweetened dense flour. Not like Red velvet, not like Carmel, not like chocolate....just a plain sweetened blob of garbage. Maggie Mcfly's was an astounding restaurant. The menu was extremely extensive, and every option seemed delicious. We were seated immediately and our order was taken within minutes. I just arrived home from a night spent with friends at Maggie McFly's. It was my first time there so I was super excited. I opened the menu which resembled a text book from college. After flipping through the many pages I decided on the Baked Stuffed Shrimp. Instead of the brown rice I wanted to try the mashed cauliflower with bacon. When my dish arrived, I ended up getting the brown rice and the mashed cauliflower. Upon inspecting my dish, I noticed that it was missing the creamy lemon sauce that was supposed to garnish my shrimp. After receiving the sauce on the side I bit into the stuffed shrimp and I wasn't impressed. The spinach looked delicious but was unfortunately too salty. Next I tried the mashed cauliflower which was cold in the center. Knowing the answer, I asked our waitress if it's supposed to be a cold dish and she blatantly lied and said yes. I told her I didn't want it and got the garlic mashed potatoes instead. When the potatoes came out, it tasted like boxed mashed potatoes with canned gravy. When the manager came around to check on our table, I again asked about the mashed cauliflower and he said it's served warm. I ended up boxing most of my meal unsure if I'd eat it later. I took a risk and ordered dessert. I got the Spongebob Squarepants Milkshake from the kids menu. Figured they can't screw that up. To my surprise,it was the best tasting item I tried all night. I took my best friend here for her birthday a couple of Saturdays ago and the food was excellent. I ordered the Bistro Style Shrimp Scampi and it was delicious! The only thing I didn't like about my meal was that they kept the tails on the shrimp. I do think their prices are little high but they have a variety of food and alcoholic beverage choices. The server was friendly but she was not very attentive. She didn't clear the tables as expected. We had empty plates, utensils, and cups all on our table almost the entire time we were there. It wasn't until someone higher up saw how crowded our table was when she came to clear it. With all of that being said, I recommend this place and definitely will be going again to try something different. read more

Came in for a visit with my husband. We had Amy as our server. She was really pleasant and polite. Our food came out quickly. I had the seafood platter and my husband had the alla vodka pasta dish. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal. He particularly enjoyed the fresh pasta. And of course we had leftovers to take home. My husband and I and another couple went here for the first time on Sunday at 5:15. We didn't have a reservation and were seated immediately. Our waitress was very friendly and appropriately attentive throughout our meal. She genuinely seemed to care about us and to enjoy her job. That was a big plus, and it helped to counter all the negatives of the restaurant itself. First: after my husband ordered one of his favorite brews (a local) from the menu, she came back to tell him they were out of that. She gave him some choices that she said were similar, and he chose one of those and was satisfied with it. Then, my bestie's husband ordered the pasta with meatballs and asked about getting some kind of bread to go with it. Like garlic bread? Our waitress told us they didn't have any bread that day. That DAY! She said they hadn't gotten their bread delivery that day. And they didn't go to the nearest grocery store so their customers could have bread?!?!?! Really?? My bestie ordered the pot roast and thought it was good, but she was upset when the accompanying vegetable came with corn, zucchini, onions, too much green pepper, and yellow squash. She said she was pretty sure the menu said corn, but my husband checked the online menu after we got home and the side said it was a "roasted sweet corn medley". So I'm not sure if that should count against it, but I do think either the menu should list ingredients (for the sake of allergics or picky eaters) or the servers should mention ingredients when you order ("that side includes corn, zucchini, yellow squash, onions, and green pepper -- is that OK, or would you prefer one of our other sides?) Bestie said the green peppers completely overwhelmed the flavor of the corn. I ordered the crabcake sandwich and was impressed with the size of the crabcake. And, although it had more filler than the best crabcakes at some of our local restaurants, I wasn't overwhelmed by the filler. It wasn't lump crabmeat, but wasn't billed as such either. OK, so no points off for that. But it didn't have enough sauce for my taste. In fact, when it arrived I thought it had no sauce at all. The top bun was totally dry. But when I looked through the layers, I did find a small amount of the listed remoulade sauce on the bottom bun. A very small amount. But when I ordered, I had asked the waitress for a side of tartar sauce for the sandwich, that wasn't delivered with the food. Thankfully, when our waitress showed up about 2 minutes after our food did and I asked her for the tartar sauce I had asked for, she showed up with it barely a minute later. Still. That was a 3 minute wait that shouldn't have happened since I requested the tartar sauce when I ordered. My husband ordered the "Garbage Burger" medium rare. There was no pink in the meat at all. It was medium well. For anybody who likes a medium rare burger, that's a sin. He said it was tasty, but definitely not how he ordered it. My bestie and her husband both ordered slices of cheesecake at the table, to be taken home. Bestie wanted a plain cheesecake with strawberries. The waitress came back to say they had no strawberries. Yet another disappointment. But the waitress suggested a raspberry sauce that was elected as an acceptable alternative. All in all, I'd say this place has MUCH more menu than they can maintain. The menu is about an inch thick, and it's really impossible for any restaurant to do well with every item of a menu that thick. Their staff either isn't good at ordering from reliable suppliers or isn't good at keeping track of inventory -- or both; their cooks are bad at judging the done-ness of meat; and there's poor communication between the waitstaff and the staff who deliver the food to the table. Oh, and did I mention the prices are too high for the overall quality of the food? So even though we only live about 3 miles from the restaurant and we eat our regularly, I doubt if we'll be going back anytime soon. read more

I just recently went back to the location in Virginia Beach , Virginia. I have had some not good issues with this restaurant in the past before covid. However as returning for the first time since covid started I was impressed with the whole new normal routine they have going on. They were paying attention to where they sat us knowing they had a party of like 15 coming in, wearing masks in the public areas, cleaning an making sure not to touch anything not necessary. Also saving the best for last the waitress we had was amazing! She was prompt, friendly, professional, sweet, caring and all around a good waitress. A great asset to this company that my family and I enjoyed. We wish we could clone her and have her at other restaurants we havent enjoyed quite as much due to poor service. My husband and I decided to go to Maggie Mcflys for a couple of drinks. Sat at the bar, everything was going good. Amanda (the bartender) was doing a amazing job, working her bum off to finish everyones orders while still helping the people at the bar. She was very friendly and polite, honestly a KICK ASS BARTENDER. We later found out that the other bartender (Mimi - not quite sure how to spell her name) went on break and left Amanda a bunch of drink orders that needed to be filled.. not cool. She later came back from break to a full bar, set her water bottle down and left the bar again leaving Amanda to yet again fend for herself. As a person who doesn't like to be on electrionic devices while out and about, I tend to people watch and seeing mimi's behavior, my husband and I were not pleased with Mimi. We sat for a solid 30mins (after Mimi got back from break) and didn't see her make one drink. OH! Shout out to another waiter (Stefan - again, I don't know how to spell his name) he helped Amanda while she was extremely busy with all the orders and still helped his customers in his area. Don't waste your time on this place. We went at midday. Not busy at all. Had to wait 10 minutes to be greeted by host and when we requested a table not a booth he appeared put out. Ordered an appetizer and our meals. Just two of us. Finally after 40 minutes saw our waitress. Said she forgot to put appetizer in so we said just cancel it and get our meals. She said she would check in meals. She never returned. Now an hour has gone by and manager comes over. We tell her we've never gotten any food. She leaves to check on it and she never comes back. I wish i could review grub hub instead of Maggie's. The food that did arrive on time was awesome. However it took grub hub 2 hours to deliver my daughters small pizza. I live less than a mile away from the restaurant. So Maggie's you guys get a 5 for the food that i did get and grub hub gets a negative 5 for for ice cold pizza my daughter was looking forward too so much she wouldn't eat anything else before it arrived. The restaurant is beautiful ! Nicely build . I could eat here three times a day and never complain! there's wasn't anything on the menu that didn't catch my eye . I can't wait to come back ! Wow. My family and I went here this past weekend. We were pleasantly and promptly greeted. Where we entered was a beautiful display of desserts and local items (coffee, tea, etc.) for sale. Our waitress was knowledgeable and sweet. Food was awesome. I had Bang Bang chicken and Shrimp. My husband had pasta and meatballs. We were so surprised that the sauce was so delicious considering it's not an Italian restaurant. And those meatballs, to die for. We always try something new from the menu each and every time we eat here. Being from New England they serve fresh seafood from PT Judith RI and scallops from New Bedford MA. This place has definitely dropped in the couple years it's been open. I remember when it first opened and the food was amazing, the food has a nice taste to it, and the service was great. My girlfriend and I just ate there tonight and the service was ok. The food was extremely bland and not that great. We started with the fried mozzarella and let me say it was fried, maybe a little in the burnt side. I had the Cuban and it started ok, but got real meh toward the end. She had Chases famous chicken, and I don't think chase would of been to happy with this. The sand which was burnt almost to a crisp, and was extremely bland with no sauce on it. Had to wait on fries, it would have not been to bad if the fries would have been seasoned properly. This place has dramatically fallen off from its beginnings, and we will not be coming back because the past few trips here have been extremely depressing. Would be willing to come back if they find their old ways and learn how to properly cook. read more

I have been a few times to Maggie's since it is convenient to where I live. I want to say the last 2 times I have visited I was not as impressed as my first 2 visits. I have even stopped recommending this place just because of my experience. My last experience which was fairly recent: my waitress, don't know if she was new or just overall shy was 1. No personable 2. When she took my order of the fried fish platter which I pointed out in the menu for her to see, she wrote something down but then had someone come back and ask which platter I wanted. Which just blew it for me. 2. Me and my husband ordered just some regular drinks and when we got to needing refills she didn't ask if we wanted anything different just brought us a drink. My husband had the raspberry tea and didn't like it and the waitress brought him another without confirming he wanted another and we had to send it back because he wanted a different drink option. On a previous visit before we ordered the Maggie's favorite appetizer, when we got it it was cold. And we pretty much just left after that because it was packed and took or server forever to get back to us about our order. We pod and left and went somewhere else to eat. I don't know if we will go back just because the last 2 experience were subpar. *Update (changed from 3 to 2 stars) Went last night and order a burger and a sandwich. One side of the burger was completely burnt and black and left my husband with an upset stomach after 1 bite. After we informed our server, she tried to get us to order something else but my husband just wanted to get out of there as again his stomach was upset. As we waited at least 10 minutes to get our check to leave, no manager made any attempt to talk with us or anything. The only good thing about our visit last night was our server, Carly! Absolute quality and consistency.... the food is awesome- local sourced, amazing selection of chicken, steaks, pasta, seafood... the list goes on! Large portion sizes (easy to pack up lunch for the next day)... but my favorite part? The staff! Every server we have had so far have been charismatic, fun, and smiling- ready to accomodate. We have gone to Maggie Mcfly's for date night, we have also gone with the kids! Handicap/wheelchair friendly! Great experiences every time! My husband and I recently started a Keto diet, we have a few requests and tweaks to our order... recently our server, Rose, made us feel like we weren't asking too much, actually she encouraged/educated us so we would make the right decisions by sticking to our diet and still spoiling ourselves! I've been to this place twice now and haven't been disappointed yet. It's very spacious and also has a bar. Prices are a little high, but you definitely get your full money's worth. Sadly 15min later a young lazy realized we weren't being helped and said she will take over. The menu had plenty of options we didn't know what to choose. The truffle fries were awesome . Decent spot. Service is pretty good and ambiance is pretty nice. A bit loud for my preference, but then realized it's basically a bar passing as restaurant. Once I realized this, I figga'd to order the steak. Very pricey steak, cooked horribly. I mean I'm no aficionado but I do know the restaurant biz and how to cook a good steak. What destroys it for me is a great cut of ribeye ruined by a grill man who not only pressed my 14oz angus ribeye but also over cooked it. I'm not the type to make fuss, but I could taste more of the char from being pressed than the actual flavor of the steak. Truly disappointing. I am so saddened by my experience because I really wanted to like this place as they partner with local food producers. The evening started with being *barely* greeted by a not-so-friendly hostess, which I hoped wouldn't be indicative of what was to come, but it was. Both my partner and I ordered the buffalo chicken salad and neither of us could eat our food for different reasons. She took one bite of chicken and her mouth was on fire. We know buffalo chicken is spicy, but it generally is not THAT spicy. Then, I started to eat my salad and found chickpeas, quinoa and corn at the bottom, none of which was listed on the menu to be included in the salad. What was concerning about finding those ingredients was that it looked to be the start of a totally different salad--I was concerned about cross contamination of not just my food, but others. So we didn't even want to order a different meal. We alerted our server and his trainee and they were kind and apologetic; however, the manager came to our table, didn't introduce herself and didn't quite listen to my girlfriend's complaint about the spiciness before she asked about the chickpeas and other product in the salad. She did apologize, which we appreciated, but she then went on to overshare, blaming the "salad girl" for her language barrier and an inability to read English, her words, not mine... When you hire someone with a language barrier, I would think you would want to set them up for success and guide them until you know they're able to be on their own, not let them sink because English is not their first language. I was so disappointed that the woman who crafted the salads was the one being blamed, likely without her knowledge. The manager asked us several times if we wanted another meal or dessert and did take care of our entire check which, again, we appreciated, but there were so many things that went wrong during our visit that we both weren't hungry when all was said and done. We did leave a tip for the servers because, having worked in the service industry ourselves, we know how tough of a job being a server can be. It looked like a good place for a group dinner. The online photos made the place look spacious and Maggie McFly's sounds like such an adventurous name. We got there on a Saturday afternoon just a bit before the dinner crowd. When we got there, there was only one party in line ahead of us and no one else waiting up front. There were many empty tables and booths at this point. We were told there would be a 25 minute wait for a table for eight, and our group decided to wait at the bar. 25 minutes came and went. I went up several times after this to check our status. They said they were waiting for another party to vacate a table in the back. There were still an number of empty tables and booths scattered throughout the bar. We offered to split our group up across a couple of tables, but they said they had a table in the back and they were just waiting for the party ahead of us to vacate. After about an hour, they said they could sit us at two adjoining booths that had just cleared. Before we got there another waitress had already given away one of the booths. Many of the folks in our group got tired of waiting and ordered dinner at the bar, but the bar wasn't a great place to socialize since we couldn't sit across from each other to talk. Finally, nearly an hour and a half later, they found us two booths beside each other. By that point, everyone else in our group had eaten at the bar and left. The two of us who remained had our dinner. My food was okay. The veggie burger was good, but there was nothing special about the fries. My friend had a regular hamburger. He said his food was delivered cold. It seems like they should have some better system for seating people. They didn't even have buzzers like some other busy restaurants. The waitress said she'd come get me at the bar when a table was ready. I suspect if I hadn't gone up to check on the status so many times that our group would have been forgotten. Certainly, no one bothered to let us know the status of our table after the 25 minutes had come and gone. I'll be looking for other restaurants for future dinners out. I work in the mall and a few months ago I decided to try out the place on my break. I placed a to go order for their fried mozzarella appetizer and left to go eat my food in the mall. When I went to open it, my food was burnt and very greasy. Today, I decided to give them a second chance. I called and placed an order for their margherita artisan pizza. Again, I went back into the mall to eat my food and when I opened the box my pizza was not even cut. I wasn't given any utensils so I was confused as to how they expected me to eat my pizza. I went back in and asked them to cut it. Finally I got back into the mall to eat it and was very disappointed. The pizza was cold and the mozzarella was barely melted.. it literally fell off my slice when I went to pick it up. I thought that the second time around I would have a better experience, but unfortunately that did not happen. I will not be ordering from them again. read more

Thought ever give this a try while the boys were Dave and busters. Sat at the bar to watch some football and check things out. Was given even menu that look like a wine list. It was not told about the bar apps but saw this table tent and look those over. Since I'm a vegetable van I ordered the roasted brussels sprouts and eggplant fries. The roasted brussels sprouts were so burnt There is the difference between roasting and burning. The Sprouts were not even cooked properly even though the outside was burnt. The eggplant fries were Hollow I don't think eggplant was meant to be fried. As I sat there I watched the bar staff which was nonexistent. Many people looked frustrated with menus sitting in front of them. There was a whole lot of people there doing nothing. This please just remind me of cheesecake factory minus the cheesecake. I was unhappy and unsatisfied. We're not recommend and will not go back for a while. read more
