I couldn't decide between a salad or sushi, so I asked the server what were some of the best sellers. He recommended the watermelon salad or hot, hot sushi roll. Went a few month back and was having a drink with my friend when the bartender stopped serving me drinks when I had two beers and a whiskey neat. Not being loud not even tipsy. Meanwhile across the bar about 4-5 guys who looked like they just come off the golf course basically yelling being loud and not cut off. Still have not been back since this happened. Get a burger and thank all the previous Yelpers. That is exactly what I did. The Maggie burger was perfectly cooked, mile high with jalapenos, cheese and a side of asparagus. They usually come with fried but I upgraged. The asparagus were fresh and perfectly done. I couldn't have asked for a better meal. We ate at the bar and the service was excellent. I've worked in Middleton for 2 years and finally had the opportunity to dine at Maggies. Came for the first time last Friday night for dinner. I expected there would be a long wait but my date and I arrived around 7:30 and were immediately seated. It's bigger than it looks so there is plenty of room by the bar and lots of tables. I forget our waitress' name but she was attentive and entertaining. My bf got the chicken burrito bowl (served in a crispy tortilla shell, bomb) and I had the short rib. Both were delicious! Been going here off and on for years enjoy their food a lot. It's not quite the all mighty of restaurants so I won't give it 5 stars. This review is mainly a feedback on the Bistro Steak. The dish was tasty, but the presentation on the skillet burnt the roof of my mouth repeatedly and made it tough to eat. I would suggest maybe a larger plate with the stuff more separated. I understand you do it for mixed bites of everything, but I still gotta cut the steak and the Brussels sprouts. Highly recommend forgoing the skillet as a customer it hindered the dish. This place is doing well. It's exciting to have a new cool spot in the area. I love the short rib sandwich with aioli. They have some really interesting drink names but I was not sure what the overall theme was. I'll take a Jimmy Hoffa (name of drink) in a sushi farm bar?! Whatever there going for I dig it. This menu features something for everyone. The bartenders help you decide on drinks and are willing to make minor adjustments which I really appreciated. The wait can be a bit long but it is so worth it. They also offer pick up to go. Be sure to order through their website not through any of the gig services to ensure quality. Two things: I hope they can expand and get more parking. The fudge spot tends to bring crowds to the shared parking lot. Outdoor dining here would be a hit. read more

The vibe is really nice, and the bar is well stocked with a patio that opens directly up from the main seating area on a nice day. The staff hustle, smile, and seem to truly want to do a good job. Unfortunately that's about all I can say that is nice. Maggie's Farm did an abysmal job of accommodating my food allergy, which it has in common with its siblings under the same ownership group. Why in this day and age an upscale place like this cannot appropriately segregate preparation in the kitchen, or consistently communicate which item(s) are impacted by which allergens is beyond me. The food was great! Customer service lacking. A couple of weeks ago I was at Opus and our bartender pointed out that I still have 10 days to cash in my birthday rewards! That was kind of him because I assumed my rewards expired at the end of March. Today we decided we'd use those rewards before they expire. I called Maggie's Farm to see if I could use the birthday rewards for take out and the host who answered the phone assured me that this was fine as long as I ordered by phone and not online. We went for a walk and I called our order on an hour later, again I asked the host on the phone if the rewards would be deducted and she says "Yes, when we cash you out just give us your card" Easy enough, or do I thought. When I went in to pick up the food the hostess took my rewards card and then asked the other host how to take the rewards off the bill. The second host explain that she "didn't think they could do that on a take out order." I asked them to get the manager and when she cane over I explained that I had called twice and inquired both times about the rewards. She did not apologize but told me that it was "impossible to take the rewards off the bill because there was no way to access the system" She then went on to say that the policy had recently changed and could only be applied to in house dining. I again explained that I had asked in advance about that policy and we would have been aok with dining in had we been informed when we called. She again said there was no way to deduct the rewards. At this point I was frustrated and said that I hadn't taken advantage of my birthday rewards in two years and there had to be a way to fix it. She finally took my card, ran it through the computer and the rewards were instantly applied to the bill brining the total down by 1/2. I'm not sure what the confusion/resistance was. It seems there is clearly a lack of communication on the rewards policy which should be reviewed with the staff. I also looked over the rewards FAQ and nowhere does it state that the rewards are dine in only. Not sure what the point is to loyalty rewards of it's such a hassle to redeem them. The food itself was great! The sushi was excellent, the Mac and cheese was a huge portion and tasted homemade and my youngest loved the skillet cookie dessert! read more

I don't review restaurants feel compelled to do so. I am a frequent Serenitee restaurant group patron and the food and service is consistent across their portfolio. With this one of my local go to's is Maggie's, again consistent. So what's different and why post?? They have a new manager Rob. The level of service and leading by example should be commended. Truly a step above and Serenitee should be proud they found this gem. From his hospitality and attentiveness every time, as well helping the staff clearing back tables, helping serve...I have simply not seen such a visible manager with high touch service like this at Maggie's. To have this kind of service along with great food and atmosphere...triple threat! Great hire Serenitee and of course kudos to the great staff as well! read more

I hate writing bad reviews about a place that has so much potential, but unfortunately, it's necessary to warn others of a poor experience, especially when it comes to food poisoning :/ I came here with my fiance and our elderly friend for dinner one night of the week. We waited about 30 minutes for our table, as the seating inside is super limited and cramped. The smell of the restaurant smelled like fish, which is never a good sign for a sushi restaurant... or any restaurant for that matter. We were sat down near the kitchen and at a long table that is shared with other groups. The table was sticky and the chairs we sat on were super wobbly: all concerning things for a restaurant's upkeep, which should be checked frequently. I ordered the Burrito Bowl (which was actually very tasty and filling) and my fiance got a lettuce wedge with steak tips. Our friend ordered the Maggie's Cobb salad with steak tips. Everything was fine, until we got a call from our friend about an hour later saying she was violently sick/vomiting for 2 hours straight. She believes that the lettuce wasn't properly washed and therefore she got E. Coli poisoning. Based on the smell, the sticky tables, and the incident with my friend, we won't be returning or recommending this restaurant to others until they up their cleanliness standards. read more

New General Manager has no customer service skills. We called ahead for a table of 8. When we arrived we were told it would only be a 10 minute wait. We watched them put 2 tables together to accommodate us. Then we watched them turn them back into 4 tops. We were then approached by the GM who told us that they overbooked and we could not sit together. We were trying to figure out how to make it work with the male host, who was great and really trying to help us. However, the young lady, who was happy to tell us multiple times the she is the NEW GM preferred to pull rank rather than try to make her customers happy. Hmmmm, she just told us THEY made a mistake and were not willing to make it right. We were actually asked to leave. As a restaurant owner myself I cannot believe how ridiculous she was. I've driven past here a million times and always wanted to stop in. When I finally did, and loved it so much that I visited 2 times in 4 days! I had to bring the hubby to give it a try. Normally I would not think a place that has great burgers would also have great sushi-- but they really do. Maggie's burger was beyond delicious- cooked perfectly (a bit saucy and messy) but overall one of the best burgers I've had in a while. For sushi, the Hot Hot Hot roll (Spicy Tuna Cucumber, Yellow Tail, Serrano Pepper, Sriracha and Ponzu Sauce) and the Coconut roll (Cucumber Avocado Topped with Seared Salmon, Teriyaki Sauce, Toasted Coconut) are so original and definitely worth a try. For deconstructed sushi, try the Sashimi Bowl (Rice, Radish, Carrots, Cucumbers, Sesame Seeds, with choice of fish). Yum! So many unique items to try and everything was delicious! Oh and the drinks---- a Rice Crispie Martini-- yes Please! So fun and tasty! They do not take reservations and both times were very busy-- difficult to find parking in their lot. One of the times I visited it was 2pm on a weekday and there was still a wait and a very busy bar! It is well worth the wait and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Service is decent. Okay, another trIp to Maggie's farm and this place does not disappoint. Food is great for a casual place, server Madeline was wonderful. But the moment that made it for us was when our server(Kat) from our first visit stopped by to say hello, calling us both by name. We both feel like we belong here.
