The ticket prices were reasonable, and the seating was surprisingly spacious. The seats are wide with lots of legroom, and there's enough space for people to walk by without you having to stand up -- which was a nice change from most theaters. The staff was super helpful, and during intermission, they even let us know we could use the movie theater bathrooms next door to avoid the lines. That kind of hospitality is something you don't usually get in Manhattan theaters. We saw Dreamgirls and it was a fantastic performance. All the singers had incredibly strong voices, the stage design and costumes were beautifully done, and the choreography really brought it all together. My only critique is that at times, the orchestra overpowered the vocals, making it a little hard to understand the lyrics -- and I imagine that might have been tough for some of the older audience members as well. A slight adjustment in sound balance would make a big difference. I went to a Saturday matinee, and while I'm not sure how many shows they do per day, the crowd leaned more toward middle-aged and older folks. Parking was a breeze -- there's a paid garage, and if you park on the fifth floor, you can walk right across the bridge directly into the theater. A few days before the show, I received an email with all the info I needed, including where to park and what to expect. Great communication. Overall, it was an excellent experience and a top-notch production. I'll absolutely be keeping an eye on future performances at this venue.

This woman is so miserable, it probably hurts her to smile. She's never once said hello to me nor my family; and gets some sort of a power kink by tossing the tickets instead of handing them to us. Please give her some customer service friendliness training. It's funny how the PA literally begs for support and money before every show...but with that woman still being rude to everyone, yall will lose our support soon. Let's hope she doesn't pull this nonsense again at "Finding Neverland" in December.

I recently went back with my son and a friend for opening weekend. It was a low-key visit, but I was reminded how lovely the grounds are. I finally got to walk through the Rosen House--it's full of charm and history. The Sunken Garden was especially calm and relaxing. We had just been to NYBG, and while Caramoor is smaller, it's just as scenic and serene in its own way. Hoping to come back soon for a concert at the Rosen House--it seems like the perfect place to enjoy live music.

It seems there are three places for a concert, a main stage with seats under a tent an outdoor uncovered grass space and a courtyard that is partially covered. With a spacious lobby area which includes a cafe one can relax prior to the show. As with any venue ones enjoyment primarily depends on performance. While we were disappointed with the "Monterey Jazz Festival" on Saturday evening we couldn't help but wonder why more "Pop" and "Jazz" concerts aren't scheduled here. Easy driving (in and out) access into the very spacious - and free - parking lot only adds to the comfort as does nearby restaurants for early / late dining.

My Dad was chomping at the fucking.bit to hear some jazz tonight and as a result, we found out about this place. One of my favorite things about visiting nOLA is the jazz and I almost feel like it's the twilight zone that i can have the live Jazz experience in my home town. Not only that, but everything about our experience, start to finish, was amazing. They enticed us with the live jazz outside..As all of their tables were taken up, our initial strategy was to sit at the bar and hopefully be able to hear the music from inside. Not only did they have a whole band INSIDE the bar playing for those patrons, but we were given the choice of them literally building us a table outside. You can't really go wrong with either choice but due to the absolutely perfect weather outside and my mother's panic phobia about covid, we elected to sit outside. They straight up brought a table and four chairs outside for us to enjoy the band playing outside. The temperate fall air and lively Jazz is an ambiance that is few and far between. We had initially planned on just ordering drinks but were selling what we were buying and dropped a few food menus and had us eating out of their hand. They legit had MOZARELLA FRIED ZUCCHINI B LOSSOMS, some delicious vegetarian ravioli, arancini, and honestly whether you're into steak or farro and kale salad, they can push your.buttons, Both of my parents ordered a spring-roll-like appetizer, one with salmon and one with veggies (extra brownie points for the vegetarian option). My parents some how missed the fact that they were ordering from the appetizer menu and were disappointed in the portion size but absolutely adored the dish. . Even though I talk up and down for about 99% of the time about the fact that I'm "on a diet now" I'm actually full of shit when it comes down to the wire and I absolutely could not resist ordering their fried mozzarella zucchini blossoms which were enveloped in a delicate but delicious outer crust with creamy cheese and zucchini blososms. They were served with an orgasmic tomato sauce with a little touch of pesto. The food was the perfect complement to the musi. They have an interesting cocktail menu as well. I couldn't resist ordering their Frenesi with tequila, lemon juice, cinnamon syrup, apple bitters, hard cider. This was served in a cocktail glass with little floating (what I'm assuming is cinnamon fits that almost looked to be sparkles. It was such a beautiful drink and had such a unique flavor. GF initially ordered the All That Jazz with rye, calvados, Demerara syrup, peychaud's bitters,, ango bitters, and up in smoke however we were informed that they did not have all ingredients to make this drink. She went with her second choice, the Jam Session with bourbon, lemon, stone fruit syrup, peychaud's orange peel, Brandie's cherry. I tried this and as a strong bourbon drink, wasn't my immature palate's favorite but I appreciated the combo of bourbon and fruit flavor. Our server was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was as excellent as it could possibly be. My Mom was literally obsessed with him and couldn't stop commenting on how well he was taking care of us. Huge shout out to that man right there. I'm so excited that this place exists and GF and I have already decided to keep the local taxi on speed dial for further visits to this place.
