This is one of two XPEL authorized installers in San Jose. The other one stained my door panel, so I decided to try Magic Auto Shine. First of all, customer service is top notch, from the moment you give them a call, to the follow up, to setting up an appointment, to dropping off your car, and picking it up. Second, the installation was impeccable. I have one of those cars whose windows go down a few millimeters when you open the door. The film was installed almost to the edge, you wouldn't even notice the gap between the edge of the window and the start of the film. And there is no visible gap at the bottom. I'm afraid the little rubbing in the next few days will cause the film to come off, as most of the time the instructions are to not open windows for three to five days. But we'll see. I also asked to install stone guards on the rear fenders. These stone guards came from the factory (though they have the 3M brand). They were installed and aligned perfectly. On top of that, I asked to remove adhesive residue from the old PPF, as well as prep the surface for installing the stone guards. The price was reasonable and I am happy with the results. No bubbles, no fingerprints, no streaks. If my rear window films need replacing, I will definitely go back to Omar and his crew. read more

Got my car detailed here a couple weeks ago. My car had unfortunately been broken into twice last year and had some scratches on the interior from it. Omar and his team did a full interior and exterior detailing, retinted the window that had been broken and replaced, as well as did a black vinyl wrap on the chrome trim above all the windows. When I got the car back it just put a smile on my face, my car hasn't looked this good since I bought it. All the stains on the leather interior were gone (I only wear black jeans which had started to turn the drivers seat black), all scratches and marks where gone, window was retinted and matched the other window perfectly, and the wrap on the trim came out great. Bought a 2021 Tesla Model 3 and wanted to get it tinted. I had a lot of recommendations for shops around the South Bay, and after doing some searches, I've also been bombarded with ads on Instagram. Long story short, there are tons of places, reviews to read, and opinions from Tesla owners on forums. My expectations are fairly high. A few years ago, I had my Audi tinted by a pro racing shop and spent a small fortune getting it done. This time, I had less money (April tax month is rough) and less time to get this done. I sent out a request on Yelp, and Jose from Magic reached out to me immediately with transparent pricing and also said they would stay open late to get my car fully tinted the same day. Drop off by 5 PM, and out by 9 PM. This was perfect. To be honest, I was a little apprehensive because of the fair pricing and turnaround time -- I was hoping it wouldn't be some "shop" in someone's driveway, or a clearly "budget operation". When I arrived at Magic, I felt immediately at ease. They have a huge shop with multiple bays, in a very well lit (car dealership and other auto specialist shops) area right on Stevens Creek and Bascom. Their manager Jose, and the owners (super-friendly, committed older couple that clearly cared about making the customer happy) -- were amazing to work with. They weren't pushy at all, gave me straight-up prices, and even relieved my wallet by telling me I could work with the existing rear window tints to save some money. The total amount was as promised, the car was ready on time, and they even offered a ride (I politely declined so I could walk a few blocks and explore the neighborhood shops and call an Uber). The work was pristine. The color/shade matching for front and rear side windows was perfect, and the front windshield looked as clear as new glass. As a bonus, I had some scratches on my rear bumper where the trunk closes (from luggage and stuff rubbing against it) -- I asked Jose if they could help place some protective film there and they were happy to take care of it for me. They specialize in Solar Gard tint -- truthfully, all my research had focused on 3M and Xpel, but I know that expensive brands aren't really that much better, and you forget what brand it is after driving the car for awhile. I was surprised how good it looked, and while driving to work - I was very happy with how much heat it rejected, just like promised. Even though the tint warranty is limited, Jose said their shop will stand by their work for a lifetime, and ensured it on the paperwork. I'm glad I didn't pay $1500+ at a "racing specialist shop" -- these guys knew exactly what they were doing, I paid a lot less, and the service was the best I've ever experienced in this industry. At first, I was very nervous about finding a reputable place to have a ceramic coating and PPF done on my brand-new 2023 Tesla Model X Plaid. However, Omar put my concerns at ease and walked me through every step of the process. I ended up going with full car ceramic coating with PPF, window tinting, and seat protective treatment. Omar and his team went above and beyond to treat me like a valued customer. They even charged my car, so I had a decent battery charge when I picked it up. What can I say? The results were amazing. While they were a little more expensive than some of the other shops I compared, the quality of work speaks for itself. They even removed the cameras and tucked the PPF professionally in the crevices so you can't see the lines where the PPF ends by looking at the car with the doors closed. At other tint shops, I've had issues with the quality and issues with the bait and switch pricing tactics, but not here. The process was straightforward. They used top of the line XPEL Prime XR plus Ceramic tint as a standard where other shops offer lower quality options or you have to upgrade to XPEL for a lot more money so keep that in mind when shopping around and make sure it is apple to apples comparisons.
