This was my first all you can eat sushi place in the area. It's not bad, but it's not amazing either. The miso soup is shiro miso which was made very weak and bland. The other appetizers are also lackluster and not as flavorful as they should be. The sushi is where they shine. The pieces are big and good, but their sushi rice is rather bland as well. The drinks are impressive but overpriced, and their menu is not ADA compliant in design which makes it easy to miss the upcharge on sashimi which is not included in the all you can eat sushi, despite being on the same menu. This caused drama on my last birthday with my guests when the bill was much higher than anticipated and in the end felt like it wasn't worth it because the food really isn't that good. read more

Came here for the first time to have my own experience of all you can eat sushi just to seat for over an hour and not be served anything. I came to the restaurant with family so we all order differently so I was the only to order sushi. 30 mins go by and no food is served. Another 30 mins go by and the only food served was the entrees. Another 10-15 mins go by still no news on sushi. Asked the waitress and they seemed confused on what I said. Comes to find out the order I placed was never placed even though I marked the sushi's I want on the paper. By that time my appetite for sushi had went away. The service here is horrible , I was excited on trying their sushi but never had the opportunity. By the way it looks like they have more workers than customers which makes me guess what took so long? If you ever come just be prepared to wait to be served and hopefully they get your order placed. read more

Horrible service, our waiter was not attentive and left our glasses empty for about 20 mins. Food was good but it did take really long to get (about an hour for 3 rolls of sushi) I went during lunch time and it wasn't that busy so I do not know why it took that long. This restaurant was originally Blacow. Now it's an AYCE sushi similar to Mr Tokyo. Menus are very similar and the sushi are very similar in taste. Only thing different was that mr Tokyo's portions are way bigger for some items like the hibachi. read more

I've had the pleasure to order takeout and dine inside, and in my honest opinion it is a great value for its price point. When I came in I was welcomed warmly and on both occasions they were super friendly. They were able to get my food out quickly when I ordered takeout. And when I dined in for the all you can eat sushi the waiter was very attentive. Dining in. It's super clean and really pretty to look at. They took their time making sure everything looked great. The sushi was nicely presented and tasted very good, the miso soup wasn't too salty and had a good proportion, and I ordered green tea. Unfortunately that comes in a tea bag, but I don't mind that too much. Personally. I didn't have time to take any pictures of the location, considering I was in and out the first time and then starving the second lol. My husband and I were greeted happily and seated promptly, drink orders were taken quickly and brought quickly. Our waiter came back quickly for our order sheet. (Chose AYCE) all the food came out fresh with absolutely reasonable wait time. We ordered several rolls, chicken hibachi and a couple apps. Everything was great! The severs are mostly the same from Blacow, and I am sure they're short staffed because our server had almost every table in there. We were a bigger party so we had to choose from either the dinner menu or all you can eat. That's red flag number one because two people in the party just wanted fried rice and had to be $25 for unlimited - with little portions. Pretty much the same model as the nearby AYCE sushi. They very short staffed as of now after grand opening. You'll have give them more patience as when I was there for lunch, it was one waitstaff running the entire restaurant with a little of help from the seemingly restaurant manager. Went in for the all you can eat deal. Restaurant interior is pleasant and bright. Plenty of tables or booths. When I was in please had maybe 5-10 parties dining. All you can eat menu was pretty straightforward. The regular menu has a number of rolls that are not on the all you can eat menu. Rolls on the all you can eat menu were mostly crab/shrimp based with a few eel/salmon/tuna options. I ended up ordering a mix of rolls/sushi and appetizers. First off I got my rolls and sushi before my soup or salad. Which was a little out of order. The rolls were pretty standard as far as what I got. One of reasons I didn't give higher rating was I felt fish was not super fresh. I've been eating sushi for over 20 years and I can tell when the fish may not be quite right. It had sort of a fishy taste/smell. Good sushi doesn't not. It was kind of a turn off. Appetizers were ok as well had soup and seaweed salad. Service was a little slow for how empty the place was. It looked like the place was still "new" so I don't know if they were still working the kinks out or what. I'm probably going to pass on going back for a while. I haven't really found a great sushi place in Charlotte compared to where I used to live. read more

First time here after the rebrand, food was okay, service was horrible. Took about 30min for someone to come take our order, when i asked for my chicken to please be cut small, got a "its already small enough", didn't have a chance to ask about other items on the menu, but the other tables were asked if they had questions about anything on the menu.... For some reason both servers were extremely nice and welcoming to everyone except our table. We sat in the middle of 2 booths, and servers checked on all tables except for ours. I will start by saying the food is always so good, but the service isn't adding up. I ordered to-go and called seeing if it was ready about 15 minutes after the order was placed (a singular specialty roll order), and was told yes. I get there probably 20 minutes after that. Once I get there, I am told that it isn't ready and I had to sit on the side for exactly 23 minutes for my food. After getting it, I was only given a "sorry about that" after also being slightly ignored by the clearly understaffed front desk. We spent roughly $70 here for the all you can eat sushi. I would say it's comparable to cheap grocery store sushi. The spicy tuna roll was literally just plain tuna rolled in a rice roll, it looked like cat food and tasted bad. The spicy girl roll tasted just like the california roll.
