From being always available, to providing suggestions and insight into timeline, and coordinating everything so well the day of, their team is simply the best. I admire their passion for planning and it was so incredible working with them. I worked with Paola and Sandra directly and Sandra was there day of. Paola and Sandra are very experienced, professional, and kind. Both were actively involved in the planning process. I'm extremely type A and it's hard for me to trust people to take over (especially when I knew it was one of the most important days in my life) and take on tasks, but I trusted them 100%. To start off, they have a lot of experience working at Terannea, which made things a lot easier for us and helped things run smoothly. Moreover, the vendors I selected knew of Paola and Sandra and their team and I admired their good reputation in the wedding industry. Knowing what I know now, it would have been easier for me to have hired them as full on planning instead of day of coordination just because they're so good at what they do that I really trust every decision they make. I keep getting comments from my family and friends that the wedding was one of the best they've been to. Moreover I've received many comments specifically from my bridal party and close family about the incredible planning team keeping the day so smooth and on track. There's a trend on social media about "wedding regrets" and my husband and I keep saying to eachother thankfully that we have zero regrets. Every vendor was amazing and the planning team really went above and beyond what was asked of them and for that I'm forever grateful. I appreciate that the team asked us what 3 things were important to us on our day. 1. our guests have an amazing time 2. the timeline runs smoothly 3. to have fun That's exactly what happened! I am grateful that I was not stressed the day of and we are so happy we found Sandra and Paola as they helped turn my dream wedding into a reality. The final design was beautiful, and we loved working with our vendor team. Unfortunately, our experience with Details Darling throughout the planning process did not meet our expectations. The biggest challenge was communication. Responses regularly took about a week, despite email being identified as the preferred method of communication, and we often had to send multiple follow-ups or text messages to receive answers. More concerning, these communication delays also affected our vendors. Our rental company repeatedly followed up on outstanding items because they were unable to get the information they needed, and I ultimately called them myself to apologize and reassure them that we valued their partnership. Our paper goods designer also contacted me directly on multiple occasions because they were not receiving timely responses from our planner. Accountability was another significant disappointment. We spoke with one of the owners during our initial consultation, but after signing our contract and submitting our deposit, we never heard from ownership again. In fact, after our deposit had been in their possession for several days, I had to reach out myself asking what the next steps were. Later, after raising serious concerns about our experience early in the planning process, there was still no outreach or involvement from ownership to understand our concerns or ensure our experience improved. That lack of leadership and accountability was disappointing. Throughout the planning process, we often felt like we were driving the work ourselves. We were the ones identifying ways to reduce costs while still achieving our design goals. Rather than acting as a strategic partner in balancing budget and design, we often found ourselves leading those conversations. We also experienced confusion with rental pricing that resulted in unnecessary time and effort to resolve. There were also several day-of execution issues that were disappointing, including our escort card display not being set up as designed, my veil not being steamed, music delays with our ceremony and reception entrance, limited coordination during family photos, meals that were promised to be saved for us never being delivered, and our cake still being rock hard because it had not been removed from refrigerator in time. None of these issues individually ruined our wedding day, but together they reflected a pattern of slow communication, limited accountability, and inconsistent execution. Looking back, we believe our wedding was as successful as it was because of our own preparation and the exceptional work of vendors we selected, none of which were on the recommended vendor list from our planner. We appreciate the time Monica invested in our wedding and her kindness. However, based on our experience, we cannot recommend her or Details Darling's planning services to couples looking for a planner who will communicate proactively, advocate for their clients, and consistently follow through on commitments.

She understood my vision, helped me talk through various pieces of it, and explained a clear process of what would be possible moving forward. It immediately took my concerns away about hiring an event planning team and made it all feel so exciting! I've never felt so aligned with someone on a project before - it was fun to create with Jenny & team every step of the way! When my original venue which I had been excited about for 5 months cancelled on us with 12 days remaining before the event, I had no idea what to do. In fact, a massive influencer company in LA who experienced the same problem from that venue alongside of us did cancel and decide not to put on their event. And the problem solving producer was a miracle worker on site with any issues that needed solving.
