Super easy to establish care with. Straightforward packages. Designated drop off times and designated pick up times. I'm not sure. I am super stoked about that piece as it seemed kind of rigid, but we will figure it out along the way. I get it though! I think it's that they have everyone come in and then they start working on the pets one at a time and then have kind of a group pick up at the end of the day. But during my day that was really difficult with time constraints and driving across town. But it worked out. My vet had recommended them as well as my pet sitter. Called around to about 15 veterinarians to get straightforward answers about dental cleaning. I was pleasantly surprised when I happened onto this business. The person on phone was straightforward and cost breakdowns. At least I thought this was the case. Appointment date arrives, I'm sat in the office to go over the cleaning plus extraction process and process quoted. Well the zinger came, I was told they had 2 options one price for cleaning and the other was with 2 extractions. The price was not that different so I opted for the higher price w extractions just in case. I reiterated to the gal on the original phone call the price was with the 2 extractions and she said "yes" Day of appt, 7:45 am I'm sat in a room and go over the expectations and am then told if extractions are needed they will call me with a quote. Clearly I was faced with, do I proceed or not. I felt nauseous and left thinking well let's just hope they are honest because I am not at their mercy. This is what I was trying to avoid. Get on the freeway, and doctor calls. The tech that when over the procedure had shared that I was given wrong information and said " we think it's best to come get your dog" a sense of relief came over me as I felt that I was given wrong information. Of course the doctor flipped it on me and said " clearly I I did not understand " and I most certainly do. English is my first language and in the shopping process I was very clear. Needless to say my dog was picked up at doctors request but I did ask what the added prices were for potential extractions and she couldn't give an answer. I was a job where I can get folks in the door with an open checkbook and just see what the tooth fault brings today. Just had my some of my dog Daisy's teeth extracted and I can't speak well enough about my experience with MAD. Emily came out to my car the morning of our drop off for the procedure and put my mind at rest. I previously had a bad experience at another vet and she made sure I was comfortable and aware of the days proceedings. Very empathetic and compassionate while being professional. This was our third visit to FPD over the years and the first procedure that entailed more than just a simple teeth cleaning. As a pet owner, even a simple procedure of this nature can be nerve wracking but FPD's competent and compassionate staff put my mind at ease throughout the pre-surgery, during the procedure, and in the aftercare process. My senior dog, Dee Dee, has had gut issues since I adopted him and Dr. Hastings listened very closely to all of my concerns and questions. My last vet lectured me about diet, even though the diet he was on was literally the only thing that had worked for him. Dr. Hastings was supportive of everything that I'm doing for Dee Dee and answered all of my questions. She gave me answers about his condition that no other vet took the time to explain. I'm very grateful to have had her examine him today. Also, the pricing for routine bloodwork and vaccines is significantly lower than anywhere else in the area. My last vet quoted me $250 for the blood work, while Forever Pet Dental charged $120! The don't upsell anything, they want their clients to be able to afford the services. I just went to make an appointment and it was over $500 for a basic cleaning. I asked what happened and she said they raise their rates each year. 40% is a bit much for a rate rise. My senior doggo had a rotten tooth that needed extraction. She is people aggressive, so I was very hesitant to bring her in. I called several offices (vets and other dental clinics) and Magnolia was by far the most reasonably priced. Don't get me wrong, $589 for a cleaning hit hard, however, everything is included (x-rays, photos, meds, nail trim, etc.). The extraction was additional of course, but I was accurately quoted and did not feel gouged. Magnolia has fair prices, considering pet dentistry is extremely expensive. I am most impressed by the top-notch docs, techs, and front desk staff. Courteous, knowledgeable, efficient, and kind - who could ask for more?! I did not feel rushed or pressured at any point. This was the best experience at any veterinary clinic that I've ever had! There's not a ton of places in Vancouver or Portland that offer dental cleanings, and even less that are affordable. After reading up on Forever Pet Dental, I decided to make a dental cleaning and mass removal appointment for my dog, Wally. Even though he's still young and healthy, I'm always worried when he has to go under anesthesia because he's only 11 lbs. Upon arrival, you go to a private room and go over any questions about the procedure with the vet tech. The girl I had was really good and thorough. They ask you how often you want to be called. I elected to be called when he went under anesthesia and when he came back out from surgery because I'm OCD like that. I got a call from the veterinarian, Dr. Meyers, to go over his physical exam and what she recommended as far as his mass removal and she also went over and told me the exact price everything would be so I could approve. I elected to remove the mass from his shoulder as I didn't want it to get cancerous as he gets older and need to put him under when he's less healthy. From when he went under to when they called and said he came out was actually not that long. He did not get any extractions, just dental cleaning and mass removal from his shoulder. Then your pet heads to recovery until you pick them up at the end of the day. They gave me an update on how he was doing and how he did in surgery when they called to tell me he was coming out of surgery, this really put my mind at ease! When I came back to get Wally the veterinarian goes over future recommendations as far as extractions and how to administer medication if they need it. Wally needed some mild pain meds for his shoulder that had stitches in it! Wally was recommended to get ~15 extractions, which I'm not surprised about because of his breed and how small his teeth are. The vet went over which teeth are priority so that I could save the most money while helping Wally out the most. The morning after procedure, I received a follow up call to check on how Wally was doing. He's a few days post procedure and doing amazing. They registered us on the phone and then the tech came out to the car and personally took us in. They texted me as soon as Preston was. In recovery and the vet called me personally to give me an update and tell me I could pick him up early. The only draw back was the wait to get checked out. So far I'm very impressed with Forever Pet Dental. Their $219 dental cleaning package can't be beat! I also love all the free add-ons you can ask for while your pet is under anesthesia, like nail clipping. I deeply appreciated that the vet that completed my cat, Jumpy's, cleaning was willing to talk with me for about 20 minutes later that evening about follow up questions that I had as I was concerned about the amount of extractions that my young cat was going to need. The quote they provided me for follow up care was reasonable. The staff also called to ask how Jumpy was doing the next day. I've noticed since her cleaning Jumpy's had some positive behavioral changes like she's less anxious & is purring more. This positive behavior change must've been tooth pain relief related. My pet insurance, Figo, accepts claims from Forever as well. Both of my cats are genetically prone to periodontal disease, so a 6 mo. cleaning from Forever will be part of my 2 girls' routine dental care from now on. One of the best experiences for something that could have been a high anxiety time. When I found out that Eclipse chipped his tooth I rushed him to our nearest vet clinic. And they told me that it was going to be a $900 bill. I'm just thinking to myself that it's basically like paying another months worth of rent and immediately my spirit is torn. So I quickly got into research mode and I called 13 different vet clinics - some were nice and others were still around the same type of price range. Until my friend told me to check out Forever Pet Dental. For over a month they kept me in the loop about what the procedure would entail. He could come in for an oral exam, get a cleaning and do a same day extraction. All of this would be in the range of $529. Which is almost half of what the first place quoted me. I chose to schedule him for a dental cleaning with possible extraction. That was $229 and the rest was medication and the extraction of his front canine tooth. (Although they did slip in a charge for local anesthesia and I thought that was included but they only include gas anesthesia). But all in all Eclipse made it home - a bit loopy - but they called the next day to check in on him too. I was given a syringe to make it easy to give him his shots. And after a few weeks later he's back to being his normal, food begging self. I would again and again recommend this place. They understand the need we have to take care of our fur babies but they don't try to take advantage of that and give you a reasonable cost. read more

Took my senior dog here for the first time ever. He has never had any dental work and also a diabetic dog. He has health issues so being under anesthesia I was worried to even proceed. Most excellent care and service for both my dogs that came in together for a dental cleaning. I was very concerned with my shepherd because when she got her teeth cleaned at banfield years ago she had a terrible reaction after the dental clean causing extreme diarrhea. I told forever pet dental this concern and after the procedure my shepherd had no negative effects at all and everything went very well and my dogs both have very clean teeth n are very happy.
