Came here to watch the World Cup, this burger is an absolute 10/10 !!! Must Try! The staff is amazing and extremely attentive and friendly. The downside: sat outside and the sun shined directly on their tv it made the tv unwatchable for about 45 minutes of a huge fifa game ... can't control the sun but maybe prepare for it with some shade/covering ...idk asside from that . The drinks are reasonably priced. The space is massive outside perfect for a chill time to unwind and eat delicious food.I'll definitely comeback cause the pros far outweigh the cons

I don't know what it is but I am obsessed with this chicken Cobb salad. It's tossed in a homemade light balsamic and I love all the flavors together. It's a really nice portion for the price. I get this with the tasty tequila and you cocktail. The folks that work there are really nice, attentive but not overwhelming. I feel like I get checked on just as I'm about to ask for something. Great service every time. I only recently discover this place two months ago. It is NOT the old Tinhorn Flats which is a good thing. I overheard the owner tell a customer that they get all their meats from Handy Mart which is across the street. I'll continue making my weekly visits. Happy that I stumbled upon this place.

They had me at "swinging saloon" doors...I swept past them & stepped inside to a rustic bar with high top & regular tables and most importantly, a welcoming atmosphere. I was back for a second round. My first round was a Saturday afternoon. The place wasn't too busy but by the time we left it was packed. This time it was a Wednesday around 5pm. It had a nice steady flow. Very laid back and casual here. You won't feel like you are being pressed to eat, drink and get out which is nice. Our server was Ashley. We loved her! Super friendly, helpful and took the time to get to know us. Another reason why this spot made my "Fav" list. Some of the menu options include hot dogs, burgers, salads, soups, chicken wings, nachos & fries. The Flat bread pizza is delicious! *They also have several large TV's to broadcast sports which brings in a huge crowd on game night. There is a back patio with a TV screen and another patio on the side where you can also sit and watch sports or just hang with your friends. *Happy Hour is Monday - Friday 2-6pm *They have lunch specials and sports specials as well. *Free Street Parking on Magnolia Blvd and side streets ~and that's all I got to say about that ~

Nachos (without sour cream) - a good lunch idea and cheaper than their specials

Had a work lunch here (yes, I discussed work in a bar during the day, and what of it?) and was pleasantly surprised at the food. First impression upon entering was the handful of day drinkers in there, which I figured was a good sign. They do have lunch specials of burgers and salads, but I'll share this hint: their appetizer menu is deep, and they're cheaper than the lunch specials. I had the nachos which was deceivingly large: while not healthy, I couldn't get close to finishing it. It fit the need and I saved some dough. The patio area is comfortable and well set-up: even though it has the 80s metal music out there, it wasn't obnoxious or anything. Service was friendly, helpful, and always hustling, which we appreciated. I'd like to give happy hour a shot, but Magnolia Corner is also a good (and unexpected) place for lunch.

Spacious and chill bar with good bar food. We came on weekday and despite the steady flow of customers we were seated immediately .. The menu has some good choices but we settled on a burger and nachos . We enjoyed our food and the service. The burger was juicy and beautifully balanced. Service staff were super quick and helpful with recommendations. Magnolia Corner has perfected the blend of feeling like a regular, bringing you to a party, and being a priority. We only went here briefly on a whim, but I'm already looking forward to going back. I don't live far down the road.. and I remember this building being empty for awhile. Then suddenly I saw saloon doors being build and lights and signs being placed. It looked like it was about to be a new small country bar! And I was so excited!! Well, it's not that. BUT. It is a great little place with a pub kind of feel. It's small but open and welcoming. Seating inside and out side. We came on a Tuesday for the cheap taco Tuesday deals. It was totally worth it. We got fresh made tacos in the back of the place. And ate them in the front seating area. The staff was nice enough. They have TVs all over. I think the price point is a little high. So happy hour and specials may be my next movie. But I'd like to go back. The food was good and the vibes were fine. Happy this place opened! (Now, you just need line dancing nights!)

Decided to try this place on a whim tonight while starving and I am so glad that I did! The location is so cool looking-many may remember the former business, and the cool western style doors are still alive and well! I love the old photograph inside of the location as a saloon- lots of neat touches. The space looks clean and the servers are great. I started with the house margarita which was so smooth! It was delicious! I'd definitely order it again and would recommend it to others. I ordered a burger and they were so kind and were able to make mine dairy free- the kitchen and servers were incredibly accommodating!! My boyfriend ordered the western burger that comes with blue cheese and he said it was SO good. We were both craving burgers, so this seemed like a great place to try and we were right! Awesome burgers! Great service. I'd love to try other things here in the future.

Probably more a 3.5 for me. The place looks so much better. They did a great job fixing it up. Service was friendly. Food was a mixed bag. I got their smash burger and it was okay. The bun was pretty much all I could taste. Freinds felt the same about Veggie burger. Wife had the Cheesesteak and liked it a lot. I gotta say, it was good. Fries were just way, WAY overly salted. Side salad was good and viggie side was fine. I had their take on a mule and it was fine. Not very strong. All in all, i liked the space. Nothing about the food will make us rush back, but if we do return, it'll be for the Cheesesteak.

We were looking for a spot near our hotel and figured this would be a nice stop for a drink, but ended up getting delicious food and an awesome house margarita. Although we were visiting from out of town, the service felt cozy like we were at a local spot back home. Absolutely recommend you add it to your trip if you're ever in the area. Also Ani waited on us and she was the sweetest!

We found this place last minute to watch the final FIFA World Cup game when we were turned around…read morefrom another spot. Thank god we got turned away because this place is a hidden gem. They do have parking behind the building which seems to fill pretty quickly if they're busy, but it's easy to find parking around the neighborhood. I am not usually in the tavern scene so I was surprised that we had to order and pay at the bar, but it wasn't a big issue. My friend and I split the kale caesar salad and the macaroni and cheese. For the table, I ordered the waffle fries after being informed by the kind waitress that that was the better choice over the pretzel (which she also said was amazing). Since the place was filling up for the final, the kitchen was a bit slow, but we barely noticed with how attentive the staff were in getting us drinks and refills. When it came to food, we were pleasantly surprised with this place and is honestly the reason I'm writing this review. The first things we got were the Beef Tallow Waffle Fries, Caesar Salad, and mac and cheese. Obviously the fries were much better, however the salad was also divine but just swimming in dressing. Back to the fries, we all were mindblown with how tavern fries could be this good and had so many flavors. Even the skinny queens in our group kept snacking on them which tells you how good these were. Mac and cheese came and it was standard and creamy but not necessarily something I'd return for. The surprising thing on top of the fries that majority of us loved was the Vegan Tomato Scampi with shrimp. It was fire and had me questioning if it was even Vegan. Would definitely return here if I find my way back to SoCal from the Bay. Great unassuming place with great food and vibes. Their bathroom as well is super clean and nice! Love this place!

Didn't want run of the mill food so opted to try Broken Compass Tiki. When we walked in we were wondering what we were in for. After being taken into the restaurant we both fell in love. The place was so fun, the food was epic and service tremendous. Since our first visit literally 4 months ago, I have taken people 3 different times to this restaurant. I don't live any where near Burbank but in the last few months had the pleasure of being near there and telling friends we had to go! It's so fun to go with first timers. Great vegan options too for my friend who is Vegan and usually gets a salad and fries ha.

    - Broken Compass Tiki…read more My girlfriend and I absolutely loved Broken Compass Tiki. I originally found it on TikTok, followed up with a few YouTube videos, and knew I had to check it out the next time we were in Burbank. It completely lived up to the hype. Parking can be a little challenging since it's in Burbank, but we got lucky and found a street parking spot nearby. If you don't get as lucky, driving around the block or into the surrounding neighborhood should eventually turn something up. We arrived about 20 minutes after they opened, and there were already several people inside. By the time we left, the place was filling up quickly, so it's definitely a popular spot. I surprised my girlfriend by keeping the destination a secret and just telling her we were going somewhere fun with a unique theme. She loved it. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. Both the bartender and our server were incredibly welcoming. Our server asked whether it was our first visit and took the time to ask what kinds of drinks we normally enjoy before making recommendations. I really appreciated that he wasn't just trying to upsell us. Instead, he explained why he thought certain cocktails were better choices based on our preferences, and every recommendation ended up being spot on. As you'd expect from a tiki bar, the cocktail menu is heavily rum-focused, but there are also non-alcoholic drinks, a small beer selection, and wine available if rum isn't your thing. I ordered the Zombie Magic first, which was delicious and definitely packed a punch. After that, I tried the 100 Year Cigar, a Scotch-based cocktail that was perfect for slowly sipping. Both drinks were fantastic. My girlfriend ordered the Painkiller and the Navy Grog, and she loved both of them. We started with the Shut It Polly wings, crispy chicken wings tossed in a spicy Thai peanut sauce, and they were outstanding. We also ordered the Aloha Dippers with the Cajun seasoning. I paired mine with the Chipotle Citrus Aioli, while my girlfriend chose the Firecracker sauce. Both dipping sauces were excellent and complemented the fries really well. For our entrées, I ordered the Pub Burger with Irish cheddar, onion strings, and horseradish aioli, cooked to order. It was excellent. My girlfriend ordered the Shrimp & Lobster Roll, and we both enjoyed it. The only item that didn't quite meet our expectations was the macaroni salad that came with our meals. We've had some incredible macaroni salad at Hawaiian restaurants, and this one just didn't quite compare. It certainly wasn't bad, but it was the one part of the meal that didn't stand out. One thing that really impressed me was how accommodating the staff was regarding my raw fruit allergy. I explained what I could and couldn't safely eat or drink, and our server took it seriously. He made sure every cocktail recommendation was safe for me without sacrificing flavor or experience. That level of attention made me feel comfortable ordering drinks I otherwise might have avoided. The décor is also worth mentioning. The pirate-themed exterior transitions into a fun pirate-and-tiki atmosphere inside that really adds to the experience without feeling overdone. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations. The drinks were strong and creative, the food was excellent, the service was some of the best we've had in a long time, and the atmosphere was a blast. There are still plenty of cocktails on the menu that I'd like to try, so we'll definitely be back the next time we're in Burbank.

Everything we had from two orders of "taquitos", "esquite", quesadillas and a blood orange mojito. The only thing with a bit of flavor was the esquite, but again to pay for roasted corn on the cob with just mayo and cheese? For $13 ? NEVER AGAIN. I have a problem with the way they name their items which is a bit misleading. For example, they have an item called taquitos, meaning you would expect a rolled fried taquitos. What came was tacos dorados so why is it named taquitos? They DID write on the menu that it's fried tacos..but again why are they not just calling it TACOS DORADOS? Same with esquite typically esquites are corn off the cob but this was on the COBB and yes it was described on the menu as on the Cobb but again why not call it ELOTE instead of esquite. Clearly this is semantics but just frustrating. If you want authentic Mexican food there is a Don Cuco's around the block that is WAY better than this place. They are at a different tier than this Kalavera's location. If you're a drinker perhaps that would make the food taste better...so disappointed and a waste of money!
