My cat died a year ago and they are still charging me insurance, whatever you do DO NOT sign up with their pet insurance, it is a reoccurring scam and they will not let ypu out of the pet insurance if your animal dies under their care, a bunch of pigs working there. I just experienced the worst customer service experience in history! My husband was the account holder for our two dogs' wellness plans. When he passed away a few months ago, I notified the office, and they asked me to bring a death certificate so they could transfer the account into my name. I did that and thought it was all good. Today, I received an email that the account was overdue. I called the main customer service number, and I explained the situation, and he charged my credit card as I had put that on file when I thought the account was transferred into my name. Then I was transferred to another person who made sure I could log in to my account, as it was still under my husband's email. She told me that it is not possible to change the account over to a new person (me) and that I had to cancel and open a new plan. The third person I was transferred to was the worst customer service person I have ever encountered. He told me that the contract was no longer valid as the account holder had passed. When I asked him, while they were still charging my husband on his credit card and taking payment from me, even though the contract holder had passed and the contract was no longer valid, he accused me of fraud and trying to access a dead person's account and hung up on me. The man was just so rude, and I still can't believe that just happened. read more

I came in with my dog once and did not use them to spay her, but I took her somewhere else and I appreciated them fitting me in. My dog, Grady, is a regular here. He is 18 and a half years old. At his age, more and more health issues crop up. Dr. K is wonderful. She is very compassionate. I really avoid vets because I always feared the diagnosis that it was time to put Grady to sleep. He is part of our family and when that day comes, I will be the saddest person on earth. Banfield is at PetsMart. Many times I take Grady in and go shopping. The store is so pet friendly. Everyone, customers and employees love pets and are always so nice to Grady. This last visit, Grady wasn't eating so the vet gave him a sample of soft dog food right from the store area. He liked it, so we were able to buy it right away. It was so convenient. The only recommendation that I have is that they provide a flat cart to transport sick pets. It was very difficult to carry Grady in. He weights 42 pounds. read more

We had an appointment for our dog today at 2pm, we confirmed with them 3 different times. He was sick last week so we were able to get in today. For some reason his appointment got canceled with no notice, actually had to go there and the gentleman there told us the doctor was in surgery and couldn't see anyone else today. They tried to squeeze him in tomorrow and said he could be seen for 20 mins. So we had to wait another week for our dog to been seen. read more

So thankful for this office. My dog got bit in the neck and I got there just an hour before they closed on a Sunday. They took her in, cleaned her up and gave her the best care. They made me feel so calm in such an anxious situation. They were super sweet and gave us options on how we could treat her. It was a day of desperation. I have a six weeks old kitten who had diarrhea that I considered severe. I called West Boca and they couldn't see her. I called St. Andrew's and they couldn't see her. I then called the Wildes Rd location, and they too were too busy to see her. That location said I could try the other Coral Springs location but that they were always busy and much more than the Wildes Rd location. So Wildes Rd suggested I call Delray Beach location. I contacted Tiffany of Delray Beach location who stated they were booked for the day. Then Tiffany went the extra steps that made this a fabulous location. She asked what the problem was and I explained and also this kitten had a history of hook worms from the mother and had been treated. Tiffany decided to call and confirm all the appointments for the day to see if anyone would cancel. Sure enough, one person needed another day and Tiffany gave us the 5:30 appointment. I hadn't much experience driving in Delray and stated I would use Waze. Unfortunately Waze took me to their soon to open location a block away. I quickly called and stated what had happened. Tiffany stated to get back on the road, go another block to Pet Smart and I would find them there. She stated they were moving in about three weeks. Needless to say, upon my arrival they were waiting. All I can say is on a scale of 1 to 10, that day they were a 10. Professional in service, care by Vet and nurse was a 10. Most of all... THANK YOU TIFFANY FOR CARING AND GOING THE EXTRA MILE TO GET HER SEEN. Final note.. Should you go to this location, don't judge it by how it looks. They are moving to a new location in a few weeks. Even if they hadn't been moving, the quality of care and cleanliness is the most important and not the clean but stained countertops. Yes a 10 on that day. Thank you. This veterinarian was new to my dog who is typically shy. He was fine in the waiting room playing a little bit with other dogs. However, when the vet tech came to get him he did not want to go. I voiced that we need to take him in slowly and I should probably go with him. Instead, the tech proceeded to pull Oliver by his leash and slide him across the floor. They did not allow me to go in with him. When she brought him out, she said that he was a 'bad boy' and pooped all over. Of course, this was due to the anxiety. Although a little further away, I will drive to Oliver's previous vet. He never acted this way with Dr. Lund; I always went into the room with him, and the staff truly loves their pet patients. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My son got a kitten last year and because he is a college student decided Banfield Wellness plan fits his budget. The first issue we had is they missed a significant heart murmur. We had to take the kitten to urgent care where they told us about the heart murmur. We asked if this was something that could just appear they said no that the severity she had been born with it. We had to take her to a cardiologist who was fantastic and prescribed meds and was told Banfield will be primary and that we only needed to follow up every 6 months with them. The first follow up at Banfield the doctor who very rude and acting as if we were over reacting. Unfortunately, due to the wellness plan we had to continue care with Banfield. The kitten was finally cleared to be spayed from her cardiologist on July 10th. The cardiologist called Banfield to speak with the vet to ensure they had the correct anesthesia that was needed for surgery. We were told we could schedule with Banfield that clearance was provided. We called for the first available on July 17th. The cardiologist told us to give a mild sedative before taking her so she would not be stressed. Drop off at 7am and that she would be ready at 2:30. At 12:50 pm, I receive a call from Banfield that they need clearance before they could do the surgery. I explained that the cardiologist called and spoke with them on the 10th and that they should have also received a report. The doctor said the last notes they had were from January. I asked then why am I only receiving a call now at 12:50 when she had been there since 7am. At this point is was very clear they do not know what they are doing. I told the doctor I was canceling everything and do not do anything that I was coming to get her. I called the cardiologist to confirm they spoke with Banfield on the 10th and was told yes and that a report was also sent. When I got there I requested medical records and in reviewing noted the lack of care. They did not follow the cardiologist notes for care on January 5th. We were told to start Atenolol and was prescribed Veraflox. I trusted they were prescribing the correct meds. Veraflox was never supposed to be given. If you love your pets as family DO NOT take them to Banfield! read more

Due to a mistake made on the part of the vet, this site thought my cat was a she, cut her open for a spay procedure, just to find out she is actually a he and has already been neutered. The incision wound has been infected and it has been two weeks of run around and back and forth with no accountability. We have called the client advocate team, emailed every possible email there is, and nothing. They will not give us the chief of staffs name and the manager has been out for 2+ weeks. Ok so I truly NEVER write reviews.. Here's a little background- i bought a purebred Australian Shepherd puppy out of state. I took him to a vet the day after I brought him to get a clean bill of health and updated on every shot needed. But shortly after I got home (to Delray, FL) we had an emergency very early one morning, one minute he's playing the next he's whining on the floor and wouldn't, COULDN'T get up.. we rushed out the door shortly after.. I was turned away by two different "emergency" animal hospital's, keep in mind my pup looked like he was knocking on deaths door. couldn't stand up, crying, salivating, even had a couple accidents on himself. I was truly terrified and Banfield was my last hope.. & Although I wasn't a client, they brought my baby right in. Such amazing, professional, and kind staff and took such great care of my boy. I was able to take Bodhi home at the end of the day, back to his normal, bubbly, playful self. Now they are my primary vet. Thank you Banfield, I'm so grateful! And so is my baby. read more

Absolutely amazing! My boyfriend and I have our first puppy together, Diesel, and we were worried about money since we are both young and the first clinic we checked out killed our pockets! The WELLNESS PLAN is the best thing we could've received as a family. It isn't too expensive, and it provides our baby with everything he needs. The doctor and nurses are so kind, and diesel absolutely loves them. They are very responsive when it comes to unexpected sickness, and are quick to help. They have given us different medications when Diesel was sick, and provided ointment for his dry skin at a low cost! It's overall the best vet to go to! read more

There was a miscommunication that resulted in our dog being sent to Clint Moore animal clinic for the night while we were stuck at an airport. When I explained the story to Lana the manager she responded by saying "IF" my story was true... I guess she thought I decided to lie about her staff. Once I got upset at her accusations, she said she was sorry but kept crying because she loves animals and "cares" so much. Lana shouldn't manage a chia-pet let alone an animal hospital. If she is the problem solver for Banfield, what the heck is the going on behind the scenes? I am extremely picky about vets and I can honestly say that I have an excellent experience every single time I have brought my dog to this Banfield. They always run on time, so I'm never standing around waiting. After my very first visit everyone greeted my dog by name and went out of their way to ask how she was, if she wanted a treat, etc. Even the vet techs who I did not remember treating her previously tell me how much they enjoy her and remember when she did xyz when she stayed with them. A few months ago she was seriously sick with pancreatitis and although I was extremely worried (she is my baby, afterall!) I know she got the best care possible and was home to me and doing well ASAP. The vets always call a few days later to see how she is doing and if I have any further questions. I will honestly never switch vets- care like this is extremely hard to find. read more

Lost our records not once but twice and I had to argue with them hat my dog has never been to a different location. Worst part in emergencies they cant do anything. Just moved to the area and walked in this morning to register my dog there. First-I had to wait for the staff to finish their meeting or whatever it was in the back. (I could see them through the window of the door.) Finally a girl comes out. After waiting for her to take a couple of phone calls..... I just had my dog's vaccines done a few months ago. She didn't need anything.. I just wanted to register her there... I'm informed that Banfield doesn't honor other vet's heartworm tests.. that I'll have to have my dog re-tested by them. Then.. she tells me that I HAVE to have my dog vaccinated for some thing they only do at Banfield that protects dogs from what-not that they pick up playing in puddles. I've had 3 dogs in my life and not one of them liked getting wet, being in the rain, yet along PLAY IN PUDDLES! It was like being at a used car lot.. they're just out to take every dime they can from you. Off to find a vet with integrity! read more

The lack of available appointments and the lack of professionalism with customer service made the decision for me to choose another vet very easy. We have moved an hour away, but still drive to Delray Beach to go to THIS Banfield location. We started going here with our two dogs because it was convenient at the time, and they have a great pet care plan. I didn't really think much about it until we needed them. One of our dogs developed a tumor at the top of his hind leg. They worked creatively within our plan to make his surgery affordable, they were very professional and helpful with making decisions, and we had a good outcome. What really won me over was the interaction with the vet. She took the time to explain to me the type of cancer found, and the chances for reoccurrence, and realistic expectations. The actual doctor called back a few days later to check on him. She came out and talked to me when we went back to have stitches removed. I was left with the feeling that they really cared about my pet. I am sure that the Banfield location that is one mile from my new house in Sunrise is the same way (and I am sure that most vets are the same way). But, they have earned our trust, so we will drive to Delray Beach. Thank you very much! read more

I would not ever take my pet to Banfield. Since it's Sunday and my regular vet is closed I took my dog to Banfield in Delray at 830am. His eyes were partially closed and had mucous so I think he had conjunctivitis. Since I am leaving town tomorrow I was hoping to get a salve or something to help him but no one would even look at him. The girl at the front desk said they were fully booked and she would call me if there were a cancellation. Why call yourself a hospital if you just refuse to even look at a patient???? It wasnt like he was bloody or had a broken bone which would require a time consuming procedure-I told her what I suspected but she refused to allow me to see anyone. Today Bentley came in due to some bad breathe issues, The owner was advised it's access tarter build up by other offices. After a couple of weeks she wanted a second opinion and came to our office, Dr. K was the one caring for him today. After examining she noticed the smell was a bit off from tarter build up. Bentley is a brachycephalic animal so due to his small snout it's hard to see inside his mouth entirely without proper tools. Dr. K was about to spot a purple paper clip that was being embedded by soft tissue on the back of his jaw. (Later that day) The owner found out it happened when a family member was watching Bentley almost 1 1/2 mounted ago. Thanks to Dr.K after some sedation medication, and a quick surgery Bentley is finally out of pain. The usual always happy/friendly dog started becoming sleepy and aggressive due to pain. Killed my dog by sending her home even though she required oxygen for her pneumonia, still continues to charge me for the insurance even though they killed her. When asked why they didn't give her oxygen the vet simply replied: "We dont have oxygen". The dog was there for 8 hours basically suffocating when all they had to do was call us and tell us to take her to a facility that had oxygen tanks. If you value your pet's life at all, you will not use Banfield. read more

Do not take your pet to this location. My kitten has had persistent diarrhea for 3 days. I took him in 2 days ago at 9:00 in the morning and they kept him for 7 hours with no food, no water, and no attention. I had to go inside and get him because that's how traumatized he was. All they did in those 7 whole hours was a fecal test. He did not get any better and they wouldn't even take him in for a drop off even after telling them their services were very unhelpful in making him better. Will be cancelling my wellness plan with them ASAP as i'm sitting here with my sick kitten still. $50 a month for this kind of treatment is absolutely intolerable. Do better Banfield. If you're smart, take your pet elsewhere where they will get the treatment they deserve. read more
