    Latte to go.

Magpie is a cool local coffee spot. The baristas here keep it pretty classic. The options are simple but the quality shines through. The space is nice and minimal, there is bar seating and outdoor benches.

Coffee is probably the best you can find in a town like Reno. Ie a big fish in a small pond. What warrants the 2 star is the coldness of the barista and pastry. The barista was noticeably different when their friends patronized the shop. And the audacity to turn up the warmth and friendliness with their friends was just rude. If you're a friend sure patronize the shop. If not, maybe find a chain cafe where you would be treated better. A little kindness goes a long way. Coffee tastes better when the service is better. Left here with a bitter taste in my mouth for sure.

Finally tried magpie after meaning to for many months if not years. It was okay. The coffee was good although I don't think there were any other options for milk other than whole and oat milk. The syrup is house made which is cool, but not many options (only had vanilla, honey, chocolate and strawberry). No real vibe. It was quiet, minimalist and very industrial. Service was very bland. Not bad service by any means but also not fun or over friendly service. Put lids on our coffees and on both lids when we poked the straw through, the plastic triangles where the hole in the lid is broke off into our drinks. Just okay. Lotsa options for coffee in Reno so not sure I'll be back but it was nice to try!

Wonderful open layout, roll up doors on each end of the shop with lots of seating. The coffee was outstanding! I asked the barista to give me something he thinks I should try that's sweet and hot.. Cinnamon honey latte was "chefs kiss" I love the low prices!!! The barista was a gem, the small bites were delicious, we got a ham and cheese croissant and a churro muffin. I do wish they had a few more items to choose from; A cookie, maybe some sort of muffins, scones? A little more variety. I would recommend a few more syrups like LAVENDAR-VANILLA(hint*hint*) Thank you! I'll be back for another Strawberry latte.

Found out about Magpie Coffee some time ago, but never stopped by to visit. After wrapping up a brief meet at a neighboring business I stopped in to take a call and grab a coffee. This is a cute little coffee shop. It gives rustic vibes with a vintage touch! It was not too busy, but then again I was not there too long to see things pick up. The staff that assisted me was nice. This spot is great if you're looking for a more quiet atmosphere to enjoy your coffee and just chill. Will try to stop by again when in the neighborhood to try other items.

A delightful place to stop in for a morning pick me up. I'm not huge on coffee my self but my husband is. He judges every coffee shop by their Cortado and he raved about this one! He said it was an excellent shot beautifully balanced with a touch of cream. I had some of their Morning Mist tea and it was a lovely pick me up. The service is always quick and friendly, everyone that works there is super nice! And with a chill atmosphere and comfortable vibe it's always a good time.

Went here a few days ago what a great spot. Parking was a bit confusing for me. But I loved the vibe of the shop, the coffee was great. I definitely want to visit this place again.

Cool and relaxing coffee shop a little bit outside of midtown! Limited street parking but really cool space and mixed seating options. Strong classic coffee menu with cool tea options as well. Morning light casts such a pretty glow on this space! Really great place to grab a quick coffee in the morning and chat with friends! Some snacks/food offered for purchase but I didn't get a good look so not quite sure what is offered.

They have such great coffee. But why are they always out of ice? This is the 3rd time I've been in and they haven't had ice!

It's a sweetened latte made with their house-made syrup, topped with whipped cream (optional if you prefer to opt out), and a buttery corn crumble. The corn crumble adds a delicious buttery, slightly savory touch that makes the latte really unique. The customer service was also great. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming! This drink was actually curated by one of the employees, which makes it even more special knowing it was thoughtfully crafted in-house! Definitely recommend stopping by and trying the Latte on the Cob if you're looking for something a little different!

Great recommendation of a well balanced coffee that is only slightly sweet. Daughters ordered the strawberry matcha latte with house made syrup and loved it. Nice location with an enjoyable outdoor patio where we were graced with a slight morning breeze. A complimentary tasting of Turkish delight was offered with each purchase of a beverage. Asked for recommendations and got the pistachio which was really good and the tart raspberry. I'd definitely order the pistachio again!! The pistachio complimented the coffee and the raspberry would be awesome with a non coffee drink.

It was a bit chaotic and confusing what made them different from any new bakery. Initially a lower value priced quality focused offering to rival perenn i believe they finally hit the spot. Their breads actually now have their character, right texture, flavor and freshness. The customer service has also improved. Staff is much friendlier than early days. I had the grinder sandwich and ate every single bite because it was so delicious. The crack and crumble of the bread was like a banh mi sandwich but filled with Italian ingredients. The only downside is their space is a bit tight for the amount of business they bring in and timing is essential to enjoy your experience here if you can grab a seat at the right time. We definitely added them back to our regular list of places to visit for our bakery needs on the mornings and weekend brunch.

If you head to the other section, you can actually browse through the records and check out the vinyl player. I didn't see anyone listening to music while we were there, but maybe I'll do that next time. Someone also told me they serve coffee and tea too, so I'd love to try that on another visit. As for the bar itself, everyone was super friendly and the drinks were really good. I stuck to mocktails this time, but there are definitely a few others on the menu I want to try next time. It was pretty busy for a Saturday, but it still maintained a really chill vibe. I highly recommend it!

An interesting combination of coffee shop, bar, and vinyl lounge, EP is located on Wells Avenue. Took a break from checking out other neighborhood shops to sit and enjoy an afternoon cocktail with friends. Plenty of various comfy seating areas and about six spots at the bar. I tried the Float On, a boozy adult root beer float using local gelato from Bibo. It's a coffee shop, so my friend sipped the 9 to 5, their version of an espresso martini. The Soul Sipper, a beautiful orange colored cocktail was similar to an Aperol Spritzer. Located on the corner of Wells and Vassar, there's a little more street parking available.
