Pleasant enough steakhouse that doesn't really stand out from other steakhouses that I have been to. I would overall rate this restaurant a 3.5/5 but the excellent service we experienced bumps it up to a Yelp 4. Food was overall unremarkable, although we did really enjoy the wild mushroom risotto side. We had a mix of steaks and seafood at the table, and they were all fine but not really memorable. The best thing about the restaurant was the service, which was very attentive. The restaurant is nestled into a shopping strip alongside several other restaurants, and while there is ample parking, we had a very hard time finding a spot on a Sunday evening. The drink I had was horrible, no good beer on tap or they were out of what I wanted which is odd for a Friday evening. The steak I had wasn't very good. Had an off taste to it. I used to go to the old location and never had an issue with anything, always walked out loving it. However, this time sealed the deal for me. I will not pay $400 for a very nice dinner and get subpar food. The chocolate cake was DRY, like choked me dry. I know we certainly will next time. He was funny and attentive, and he made us feel special throughout our meal. Some people have a gift for enhancing the atmosphere, and Larry is one of those people. The food was, of course, delicious. We had the wedge salad, my husband had the ribeye and I had the filet, then we shared the chive whipped potatoes and the brussel sprouts. Celebrated my birthday here recently and it was a spectacular experience. We were seated at a small room in the back with a nice and quiet ambiance. You could tell right away that the service was top notch (thank you Blaze and Blake) and it persisted throughout the meal. For example, they knew we were celebrating my birthday and already had a birthday card on the table and they also delighted us with a small gift - very thoughtful. We ordered a couple of things to share: fried calamari, roasted beets, baked potato, mushroom risotto and a prime ribeye. The fried calamari was good and the mango sauce that accompanied it, elevated it to another level. The roasted beets were delicious with the goat cheese and sauce. The fully loaded baked spud was good, but nothing special. The risotto was decent, but we did think it was slightly heavy on the salt and I think it's because they salted in the risotto and also the cheese on top also added additional salt as well, so just a heads up. I typically order my ribeye medium rare and wow, it was absolutely perfect. It was seasoned very well and the meat was tender and juicy. 10/10. I also had an old fashioned on the side, which was very good as well. The other thing I wanted to mention was that the GM walked around and made sure all the patrons were having a great experience, which is something you do not see often and I highly appreciated that. If your brand is premium food, service and experience, you have to protect that brand at all costs. Mahogany used to be the best hands down in Tulsa. It had impeccable patina of the great metropolitan steakhouses and sublime service. While I can say that the Oklahoma City location still has that distinction, unfortunately it seems the star has fallen in Tulsa. It seems in no hurry to rise again as the special touches that used to set them apart are gone. Crumb cleaners? Nae bother, mate. Servers that exude class--try ones that discuss the bill in front of everyone. Food coming out for everyone simultaneously with theatricality reminiscent of old hollywood? Notably absent. Flashlights and "knives out" to check that your steak is cooked as ordered? Apparently those days are gone. What is in? Steaks are still great, but add tables that don't match up, and strange menu changes. The servers also lack a finesse and grace that used to be a hallmark of this place. While it's still a great steak, you can get a better experience elsewhere. Sadly, you can now get a better meal at chains like Flemings--and that's just really sad. read more

TLDR- average food, hardly average service, maybe we were there on the wrong night. Got a 7:45 reservation for 2 on Sunday (2/15) and showed up around 7:30. We got seated pretty quickly. We ordered drinks (Moscow Mule and Sapphire and Tonic), Shrimp Cocktail, and I got the Lobster Bisque. Drinks were great, shrimp cocktail was delicious (the fresh shaved horseradish was great! Reminded me of St Elmo Steakhouse in Indianapolis), and the lobster bisque was very good. We ended up both ordering the Filet since they were out of the NY Strip. We got the Sautéed Button Mushrooms and Chive Whipped Potatoes on the side. Steaks came out, both had a significant grey band, ordered medium rare but these were on the medium side. Pretty good sear, the best bites were the pink center. The Button Mushrooms were very good! Meaty and dense with great flavor. Chive Whipped Potatoes came out at room temp, the first scoop we got was fine, after that they were pretty cold. We saw our waiter 2 times once our meal came out. She had another table behind us that was being obnoxious, so I understand. We waited another 15 minutes until another waiter showed up to pick up our plates and go over the desert menu. We got a cake to go and paid the bill. No bags to take your boxes out with. Ambiance was a weird mix. We dressed nice, there were a few tables similar. There was a couple at a table near us, the man was wearing a hat that just said "F*CK" on it. We also got to see his underwear when he was constantly getting up and dropping his napkin in the walkway. We had a hard time figuring out what the mood was. Amy (one of the managers) always stops by our booth to ensure everything is to our satisfaction. I pretty much order the same thing every time..sometimes w/ a few changes depending on my mood: 1. Petit filet with chive mashed potato side - cooked medium rare (always cooked perfectly - I love how they have you cut into the middle of your steak once they bring it to ensure it is cooked to your liking) 2. Side of corn - creamy and buttery 3. Side of mac & cheese 4. Seasonal vegetable (Broccoli and carrots are my favorite) **sometimes I'll get the rack of lamb in place of the petit filet - also very delicious, tender and juicy....OR I'll add a side of lobster to go w/ the filet 5. Drinks - great selection of wines but the craft cocktails are always fantastic. They do have a full bar too! We started with a fantastic lobster cargot, followed by a cool, crisp house salad with tasty dressing. Making a reservation was easy online and the hostess greeted us upon arrival. The restaurant provided us with a nice table setting in a back dining room. The servers were knowledgeable and extremely attentive to our needs. They made good suggestions as this being our first time to dine here. Each of us order a filet with salads and various sides. We had a loaded baked potato, creamed spinach, and au gratin potatoes. For desert, we had the carrot cake and crème brûlée cheesecake. Everything was exquisite!! I usually give Mahagony 5 stars but this past time there were little things that knocked them down a star. First, when we ordered our bottle of wine. I went to taste it and the waitress had already poured the glasses. Just so you know- When you buy a bottle of wine, someone needs to try the wine to make sure the wine isn't "bad" before you agree to drink/buy the bottle. The waitress poured me a taste but before I could answer she poured my husband an entire glass. Second, usually when they are gathering crumbs in between courses, they use a tool to gather crumbs and dump them on a plate so the table is clean and ready. The waitress just scooped them up and dumped them on the floor. I was disgusted. Third, my husband's soup was delivered to the wrong table and after someone else breathed on it the waitress picked it up, made a lap around the restaurant, & gave it to him. I just expect better from Mahogany. Everything else was great. I am most likely being over critical but after we have had so many excellent experiences, it's hard not to notice these little things. read more

We ordered their Japanese Wagyu and my son ordered their Cowboy Steak. The sides (mushrooms and asparagus) and desserts were good but not a wow factor. We always compare Japanese Wagyu steaks everywhere we go and maybe we just got used being served that special steak all cut up on a sizzling plate with a salt on the side. My 4 year old was able to finish her wagyu and that was something. Mahogany delivers a fine dining experience that's worth every penny. We'll definitely be back if we visit Tulsa again. read more

Went on 1/11/25 to celebrate my sister's birthday. The service was not great. I think their names were Jared and Mallory. Jared was very short and curt. He talked over us when we tried to ask questions. The mushrooms were great our chocolate martinis were awesome too. The steak was just ok, not like we had at previous visits. My niece asked about a drink she had there before and Mallory just blew her off and said we can probably get you something similar but not what you had before, even though my niece knew the name of it. It was just very disappointing. The ambiance was very nice and relaxing. Will rethink before returning. My sister's second Martini was served to her in a different glass by the manager. My sister asked about it and he blew her off saying, "Oh it's the same amount." It didn't look like it, but he just walked away instead of offering her the same size martini glass she had before, didn't even wait while she was trying to ask.We also sent the Pork belly appetizer back, it was tough as leather. Fantastic early Valentine's Day dinner. Prefer the main dining area but was lucky to get a table in the bar. The 21 ounce cowboy ribeye was perfect. The jumbo fried shrimp and fillet tips were also outstanding. More than made up for a subpar overpriced steakhouse meal in Dallas last week. We had a great time when we were at Mahogany last September. Great service and the food was delicious as seen in the photos. I can't say the same when my friend made a reservation for the eleven of us last Sunday. Service was slow when we were in the private room. Drinks were not always refilled promptly. We gave feedback that we did not receive any bread or our entrees before a manager showed up to check on us. A waitress mentioned that they were waiting for us to finish our appetizer before they serve our entree. Our reservation was at 7pm and we only got our entree at 8:26pm. They made sure that we were satisfied with how our red meat was cooked right after they served us our entrees. They knew it was a birthday celebration for one of our friends. I don't know if Mahogany still gives out complimentary chocolates/dessert for birthdays, but my friend didn't receive any. They did give us a discount for our meal. read more

Having lived in Tulsa for about a year, we had been searching for our go to steak restaurant. We tried others, some more expensive and some not. None had lived up to what we expected, until now. Mahogany was fantastic. The service was impeccable. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was upscale and pleasing. I got the wedge salad, it had great blue cheese, avocado and tomatoes that had been soaked in oil and spices and topped with sweet bacon. The salad was one of the most tasty salads I have ever enjoyed. Then the steak arrived on a hot plate. It was cooked perfectly at medium rare, but was hot and its flavor was perfection. The steak was the best I have had in Tulsa by far. The prices were less than what I had paid at another popular spot, and well worth it for the superb food and service. They do have valet parking if you choose, we found a spot without much difficulty. We were greeted nicely and taken to our reserved table quickly. Our server was on top of everything even boxing up our leftovers, (My wife's, I ate all on my plate) and adding a couple of rolls and a nice box of chocolates to take home. First time coming here. Probably not the most appealing photos, how ever the steak was great. I had the cowboy prime ribeye. Got it medium rare, and it was absolutely perfectly executed. I like my steak to be as rare as possible without being cold and it came out amazing. The sides were great, we had the brussel sprouts, the mushrooms and mashed potatoes. The mushrooms were my favorite. I had it's of drinks, I tired the Gardner's cure, had the hotel California, had the Tierra Sana (which I strongly recommend) and also had a millionaire's margarita. I don't usually drink that many, and that wide a variation but the first one was so good I had to keep trying more. We had a private party of 20 people. I'd like to say that my companions chicken marsala was also very good. She had the Gardner's cure to drink also. I've had equal or better food for a quarter of the price. Texas Roadhouse has equal or better steak. Our ticket was easy $450+ including salad, steak, chicken, 6 drinks, 3 sides and 2 desserts. The service was amazing. The staff was great the entire time. The private room was beautiful, perfect lighting, everything was great for me. No complaint on anything. Great ambiance, but I do eat out a lot. It's one of my favorite things to do, so i have to say the prices don't go with the food. They go with the service and the restaurant. I've had steaks forty dollars under this one that were truly up to par if not better. Many guests on my party were not so happy with the temperature of their steaks. Some of theme actually swapped plates. So they were either grilled wrong or maybe just served to the wrong people. Been to mahogany a dozen times. The food has always been decent but the service has been hit or miss on the service being rude. We had a reservation for 8, showed up early at 7. We informed them we were there and that we would grab a drink at the bar. We went back up to them at 8 to ask about our table and it seemed they had forgotten about us. We waited another 20 for a table then another 30 for our wine. We ordered the ribeye and Brussels (which were DELICIOUS) and risotto which had good flavor but horribly undercooked. It was grainy and hard and dry in the center so we did not eat it. Manager came to ask about our food and we informed her of the situation she offered to bring another side. We said the Mac &cheese since I know they never mess that up, I'm in the service industry so I know sometimes things happen. She brought it out with the comment of sorry it wasn't cooked to your liking. It was extremely pretentious and demeaning. They did take the risotto off the bill but charged us for the Mac &cheese. Our first experience with Mahogany was in August 2024 - just found it here on Yelp and saw the great ratings, so decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint. We came back for a second time during this weeklong visit to Tulsa. Since then we've been back to the area twice and have had at least one dinner, if not two (sometimes three) during each trip! One feedback is that we wish we could bring our own bottle of wine and pay a corkage fee - but guess OK law does not allow. :( The wine selection here is nice - it's just that we wanted to enjoy a special/specific bottle. My wife and I went here for our 1st anniversary and it was such a great choice. Not only did they give up many congratulations, but also complementary chocolates which was a great personal touch. The staff was super super friendly and helpful and gave great recommendations as well as keeping up with pouring water, clearing plates, and keeping the table clean. The food was also amazing, the lobster cargot, filet mignon, and sourball martini were probably the best things we had. We will definitely be back. Although it's pricey (as it should be for its vibe and food quality) it's worth every penny.
