Our friends have been raving about this being their favorite steakhouse, so we made the drive to Tulsa for a double date--and it lived up to the hype. The atmosphere is classy and polished. The cocktail selection was solid, and everything we ordered was well-made. We started with the yellowtail crudo which was fresh and flavorful. We shared the prime bone-in ribeye topped with garlic and mushroom medley; the steak had a nice sear, good garlic flavor, and several very tender bites. The chipotle cheddar mac and cheese was solid--slightly runny, but smoky, cheesy, and finished with a subtle kick. Service wasn't perfect, but our server stayed on top of drink refills. This is also a great spot for birthdays or special occasions--we saw dessert after dessert coming out, and it's clear they know how to make guests feel celebrated. We had a company Christmas party last night in a room at Fleming's, and it was a lovely evening. I realize that it being a large party makes our experience slightly different than if we'd gone just the two of us for a meal because we were offered a curated menu, but it was still great. We had the Caesar salad, which was fine. I enjoyed the crispy pancetta and fried capers on it. We both had the filet which was tender and cooked perfectly. We shared asparagus and mashed potatoes with the table. Both were delicious. We also were given the brownie with caramel and honeycomb which was decadent and sweet. Everything was great! My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here recently and were blown away with everything. From the wonderful greeting's from the hosts, our waiter and loved that the manager even stopped by a few times to not only wish us a happy anniversary but to just chit chat. We were even given a complementary glass of champagne to toast with. Every detail they did made us feel special. Our waiter Stephen was outstanding. The service and ambience were outstanding. The food was okay. Our check was $247 before tip. For that, I expect more than okay. We got the Tuesday Surf and Turf special. That came a salad. We upgraded the steak to a petite filet and added potatoes for $17. I was disappointed with the crab stuffed lobster. I thought it would just have fresh pieces of crab but it came with bread stuffing with crab in the stuffing. I thought the bread stuffing covered up the taste of the crab. The steak was good. Our almost disaster of a Valentine dinner quickly turned into a Hooray! Fleming's saved the day! (Our reservation at a different restaurant was lost.). The extremely kind person working at the bar showed our group a mini booth that was still open. She told the manager about our experience with the other restaurant and they opened a table for us, on Valentine's Day! We never thought this would ever happen. A BIG sigh of relief and a BIG thank you to Fleming's. On with the show...The very busy waiter very nicely answered all of my gluten free questions. We went on Super Bowl Sunday to celebrate my wife's 28th birthday. The restaurant went out of their way to make the visit special. They gave her a rose and really kept congratulating her and checking to make sure she was happy. This made me very happy. Our waiter was outstanding and he was supported by many other people. Our drinks were phenomenal (I highly recommend their old fashioned). We had a seafood tower, crisp, fresh, sweet, with some interesting sauces. We had a variety of steak and seafood as our entrees. All cooked perfectly and paced perfectly. The big favorites were the two desserts the chocolate volcano cake and berry cobbler. Both take extra time to prepare so you need to order early. Wonderful visit and in my opinion the value of meal and service was worth the cost. The cost of the visit per person (we did not try to control cost with lots of mixed drinks, sides, and multiple desserts) was in the $140/per person range. Went for dinner w/spouse. We both got the surf & turf that was a 6-ounce filet and a crab stuffing encrusted lobster tail. Also included a salad. I got the Caesar and she got the house. Both were good but both kind of missed the mark. She said hers was too sweet and the Caesar just wasn't, well, Ceasary. The fresh baked bread with 2 spreads was awesome. The steaks were correctly medium rare. The house scalloped potatoes were good. Overall atmosphere was dark, oak paneled and very steakhousy. Fleming's is a good steakhouse but certainly not the best steakhouse. I really like the options of having outside seatings which is not available at other steakhouses. Social hour with discounted drinks are also a positive. The restaurant itself is nice, a little smaller on the inside compared to other steakhouses but it looks nice. The reasons why Fleming's does not get a 5 stars from me is because of two reasons. While the steak is good, it is not cooked they way you wanted. The dry aged ribeye is cooked medium rather than medium rare. When they serve you the steak, they do not ask you to cut into it to see if it's cooked the way you wanted. I am not sure if it's the dry aged ribeye which is why they don't ask but nevertheless I feel like they should ask as every other steakhouses do. I actually would recommend just getting the regular ribeye as there's not much difference between the dry age and the regular except the the price. I actually like the Fleming's salad more than the steak. The walnuts and dried cranberries along with the vinaigrette dressing make a huge difference, making it one of the best salad I've had. Overall, Fleming's is a good steakhouse where I would come back in the future as the quality is there. The steak was not cooked how it was ordered on this specific occasion but this has happened to me at other steakhouses as well. By the way, for anyone who has a cold and think a drink with lemon, honey, and alcohol is a good idea, think again. The Time is Honey drink has all those ingredients but it's so darn strong that it almost knocked me out but I think it may be due to me chucking it down on an empty stomach. Impeccable service I felt welcomed like a guest at a special party but not smothered like inexperienced staff. The food is exceptional and if you are looking for a celebratory place this is the end of your search. We arrived at Flemings after a late business day w an early arrival to Tulsa. My brother and I took my dad here for Father's Day. He's a big surf and turf guy and loves seafood but was hesitant to order any in Oklahoma. But to our delight, everything was amazing. I'm a true believer that the waitstaff can make or break a meal. Amanda was a pleasure to meet as your waitress. She was engaging and looked as it she enjoyed here work. Everyone at our table had a different cut of steak and the all came out at the right temperature. We order the calamari appetizer and it was wonderful. Got the Flemings Potatoes and the lobster Mac and cheese and no complaints. The only complaint was some members of our group thought the chili green beans were too spicy for them. I thought they were good. Got the lava cake and asked for a glass of cold milk. Cake was perfect the milk was not as cold as I would have liked it. We had chosen another hot spot in the Tulsa area but due to the late time I made a last minuet switch. I'm pleased to say that it was definitely a good choice. The inside is really nice and well maintained. My wife loves looking at all the wine bottles at any place she goes to. The inside gives off a good vibe to enjoy a nice meal. I've been to several high end steak houses all over the country from NY to California. Flemings I must say ranks in my top 5 of all time. The service we received was outstanding. Our waitress who I believe was named Sara was amazing. Even the manager who came over to great us at our table was as nice as could be. Now for the food. I ordered the prime bone in ribeye which was cooked and seasoned to perfection and one of the best cuts of beef I've ever had. The only place that ranks above it would be Nurs Et in NYC. The sides we had were also amazing. The starter which was the Beef Carpaccio, If you've never had this it is a must try. I'd highly recommend trying this. It would be a new and tasteful experience. My wife had the Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass. This dish was also amazing. It was one of the biggest pieces I've ever seen. Most places bring out a thin sliced hunk of over cooked fish that's just awful. This was well cooked and packed with flavor. The only downside and reason for just four stars was my salad. I had the Cesar salad. It's typically something I always order when out eating. I'm not sure what it was but the Cesar dressing just didn't do it for me. Over all our experience here was well worth the time and money spent. If you have a special occasion or just want a good quality meal with great service this is a wonderful place. I took my parents here for their Anniversary the service was perfect anytime they had to reach across the table to sit something down they always stated please excuse my reach, they kept the table clean and drinks were always full. We were given complementary champagne and toast from the Manager made my parents feel special. Food was good the al a cart menu was pricey but I expected that so no big deal. I had a great filet Oscar which is one of my favorite things and my dad loved his steak how my fiancé ordered scallops and they were forgotten when the food was brought out we asked about them approx. 10 to 15 minutes later thinking they were just busy and forgot to cook them but they weren't they had been sitting there the entire time and they were cold when they arrived that was my only complaint the entire evening. The flavors mixed so well that it was difficult not to just order another for dinner or to go. The pork belly was cooked well and had a great texture. I ordered the French onion soup. It was soooo unbelievably good. Rich, beefy, & cheesy! I loved it! Hubs and the BIL had the lobster bisque and they liked it but thought it could've used a little more seasoning and depth to the base. The lobster chunks were plentiful though. SIL had the wedge salad that was on par for expectation. All of our steaks were cooked to perfection and well seasoned. I thoroughly enjoyed the Brussels sprouts and bacon. The crew roasted them to perfection and added a sweet , tangy glaze that was delicious. The lobster mac n cheese was disappointing because it also lacked the richness and depth you look for in a seafood dish. Hubs tried the special short rib dish which had some consistency issues but still pretty good. He was able to give real time feedback which was appreciated by the crew. The food is good, the service is good, and it's a good location for before- or after- dinner strolling around Utica Square. But folks, I need you to trust me when I say it's overpriced for the Tulsa gastro market. I feel strongly about this after having been to some local food spots in Tulsa which provide far more for far less strain on your pocketbook. The Fleming's approach, quite honestly, seems to be the captive-buyer-markup/upsell technique. Everything is priced to ding you in the wallet area, and this is coming from someone who doesn't mind spending a couple hundred on a great night out with excellent drinks and yummy food. If Tulsa were not Tulsa, and there were not other options for better prices and better options, I might give Fleming's 4 stars for standing in the gap as a steakhouse in a small town. But Tulsa is not a small town, and there are many other steakhouses and places with great food and drinks to compete with Fleming's, which seems to leverage its chain of restaurants and high prices to somehow signal higher quality (which just isn't there. It's good. Not exceptional). Don't get me wrong, the food is not bad. I'm posting pictures of the presentation, and it wasn't disappointing. But it doesn't live up to the hype for such a high priced steakhouse. If I were you, I would try Juniper, Sisserou's, Smoke, or Amelia's for dinner and maybe Valkyrie, MixCo, or any of numerous brewpubs and cocktail bars for after dinner drinks. Overall review: Time for an update. First, managers Robbie and Jake always make us feel welcome with table visits, lighthearted conversation and recommendations. Next, we have experienced excellent service from a number of the waitstaff. But special mention goes to Josh who hustles, and always with a smile and a laugh. Our favorites (you could almost set your clock to this order) are: Calamari starter; Flemings salad; Main filet; Mushrooms (best side!) and Flemings potato. Tremendous wine list; decent drink list. We had been going to Fleming's for many years. Food has always been amazing. We moved out of Tulsa city limits about 3 years ago and returned for the first time. Was shocked by the ambiance. I felt like I was in an Applebees or chilis. The open design felt like we were dining with the entire restaurant. I could hear the manager and staff behind me talk about the wait staff had one less row then the others among many other conversations. Had to adjust posture to make room for other guests and food coming down the lanes and aisles. The romance and intimacy is gone. Great for family affairs. Don't recommend for intimate dinner. Such a lovely experience. My friend Erin and I got a little girls night here. I had dine rewards and a gift card to use So it wasn't quite as expensive as normal. I got the French onion soup and it was excellent. My friend got the Caesar salad and she loved the little prosciutto on top. We each ordered the filet medium rare and shared the Fleming's potatoes. The potatoes were good but a little heavy and I wanted to focus on my steak lol. My steak was excellent and I got the bearnaise butter to go with it. Such a nice atmosphere.
