    Karahi!
    Zain P.

Solid spot if you're craving Pakistani karahi in Dallas! The staff is friendly and the food is AUTHENTIC!! The ambiance is also great for family dinners! One order of karahi (even a half portion) feeds 2 easily so don't over order here or else you'll end up taking everything to go!

    Buffet during Ramadan

My wife and I wandered in on a whim ready to enjoy some IndoPak food and the joint was packed on a Friday night. It seemed like a large party was going on and when the hostess looked at us strangely as to why we were here, we didn't pay any mind to it. She explained that tonight is only a buffet and we said sure that's fine. We sat down and realized we looked very different from everyone inside. After some googling we realized it was Ramadan and everyone was breaking their fast. We carried on and jumped in at the buffet. I could not tell you the names of mostly what we ate but for the most part it was all pretty delicious. The pakora, though cold, ate deliciously with a nameless chicken curry that was also on the line. Went back for seconds on that curry. My biryani was also delicious as was what I could only assume was the chicken tandoori. There was this dessert made with sweetened condensed milk and vermicelli (and other things) that I also could not get enough of. Anyway, when we paid, we told the hostess we loved the food and appreciated them welcoming us in and experience a very important part of their culture. Can't wait to go back after Ramadan and try the regular menu.

Came here after getting recommended to visit. Noticed that outside the poster said halal that was good. Came inside and its a fine dining environment. But something was a bit off. The menu is claiming that its a pakistani restaurant, going on about its background and all but from the environment, food, and staff i got a more indian feel. Thats fine but dont label yourself as pakistani restaurant if the food and folks running it are Indian background. For example: the food. The nihari and especially the naan were too thin. The naan had an indian roti like feel. Not sure if it went into a tandoor or the atta mixture was made well. Mango shake wasn't good. Also prices were crazy here not sure if thats what fine dining means lol I did see one of the larger tables next to me have modelo and ultra light (blue can) of beer(multiple since it was a large group) . Didnt see alcohol on menu so wanted to point out that either these folks brought alcohol with them (not likely) or its served off the menu. Wouldnt come back here not worth it and also they are ripping off the karachi name and culture.

This is an OG Pakistani restaurant and I must say my first dine-in experience here was pleasantly surprising as I've been here a few times for buffet related events and didn't enjoy the food or the over crowded events. We came on a weekday, late so it was mostly empty. The restaurant is generally well kept and clean. Lots of space and seats for groups. They have a robust menu. Our server was nice and polite. We had some communication issues when we ordered with the type of soup they had but what we got was good so no harm done. The karhai was really good, both chicken and goat versions. The assorted naan plate was the perfect accompaniment to that. I tried the shikanjbeen and it is not what im used to getting in Pakistan but the drink was nice. I would definitely come back for dine in here though would avoid the buffets type events if i can. The difference for me between the two experiences is night and day.

Being from the UK, I love Indo/Pakistani food. I live in California, but I don't find anywhere that's as good as the food back in the UK, especially in London. A colleague from work recommended dislocation while I was in Dallas. I went there for a work dinner. The service was excellent, and the food and quality really reminded me of that authentic Indo/Pakistani cuisine. The flavors were good and there was nothing that we ordered which I wouldn't have not got if I went back again. Overall, I'd recommend this place.

Fast service, food came out hot, and solid ambience. Highlights of the meal include the Malai boti chicken and Shinwari goat karahi. Both were melt-in-your-mouth tender. Garlic naan and Lahori fish was solid

Went here on the 3rd Day of Eid to celebrate and avoid rush hour. We went around 6pm and the restaurant was empty. We ordered chicken karahi, chicken malai boti, & chicken 65! We lived the chicken 65 and the karahi! Fully cooked and flavorful! We felt like the quantity of Malai boti could be better for the price. But overall our experience was great! Very authentic Pakistani cuisine! Definitely going back!

Omg. The best Pakistani restaurant I have ever had!! The malai chicken is to die for. The Karahi is the best. The garlic naan are so good. It's hard to find authentic desi restaurants with high quality food/ingredients and this really met my expectations. Service was good and food came out quick except for my chai which took forever to come out. Ambiance could do better, for such a good quality restaurant they could make so much more if they had a better vibe going on inside or weren't located in a parking lot.

Best Desi (Indian Pakistani) Resturant in Dallas area , excellent service , the owner was present on the floor. And host came multiple times to ask us on the table. We ordered Chicken Malai boti and Shinwari Karhai, both excellent - cooked right to perfection, packed with flavor. Excellent quality meats. Lastly the breads were amazing. We ordered a mix basket with include garlic , plain, Rogni, and black seed. Will come here again for sure.

We were in this area on a Sunday morning and the place that we originally were going to visit was jam packed, so I looked up reviews of places we could go to that were nearby. I saw that on Sunday, this place has a Sunday brunch, and that got my interest. I called and they said that the lunch would end at 3:00 p.m. Luckily, we were able to get here by 2:40 p.m. Usually, people will roll their eyes when there are people coming in right before the end of a buffet time. However, nobody here did that. We were greeted with smiles and great customer service. Being the daughter of a great Pakistani cook, it is difficult for me to compliment a pakistani restaurant, because I am so used to a high standard of food. Hardly anyones food can compare to my mother's, but this establishment did it (please dont tell her I said that). The beef in the nihari was so soft and succulent, the biryani was spot on, and the gajar ka halwa had me going back for seconds. I am very impressed at this establishment and I would recommend for anyone to try this place.

Well luckily I've been inside their shiny marble halls enough time to pass my final verdict. For one, it seems like staff turnover is a concern here, as I often see new staff up front who are unfamiliar with their own menu or promotions while the food gives me an idea of what's going in the back. Which is to say, nothing has ever been consistently good here and there's been many occasions of food that's poorly seasoned, undercooked or simply spoiled. I know they have the ability to do better but is it worth the suffering for the opportunity? My answer is NO. For the markedly above average cost and inconsistent leaning poor quality, this isn't the local institution I would personally advise you to support. (Just FYI: I have had their dinner then brunch buffet multiple times, dined in, taken out and separately ordered delivery through a 3rd party app. I really had high hopes!)

I am familiar with Indian food so most of the names are recognizable, but the delicious differences are not to be missed! We ordered the lunch special which was $14.99 for 2 meats (one grilled and one in sauce), rice, a small salad of onions and lettuce, and dessert. I believe they specialize in grilled meats, cause the flavor was fantastic! The picture showed rice pudding for dessert but they came out with gulab jamen instead. I was disappointed at first but dang if that wasn't the best version of this I have ever had. I wanted a vegetable also so for the same price of $14.99 I got palak paneer and naan, which was a more earthy, less milky version as well. Naan was also best in class. I don't always love naan cause it can be rubbery. This was excellent. Soft and pillowy. It was so much food that we took it home and had a whole other meal. What a value for $14.99 each! The space is beautiful and though the clientele seems to be mostly Pakistani, they are welcoming to all. Service was a touch slow, but not painful. We still got in and out during our lunch break. I honestly think they just need more customers and so I want everyone to know that it was a new experience for me and I was super happy with the food. Welcome to the neighborhood Grand Tandoori!

My favorite was the fried appetizer: paneer pakora! I had never tried it before and thought it was fried tofu at first, but then I realized it's breaded Indian cheese. The only thing holding them back has been consistency. Service has been fine overall, with staff coordinating with each other and making sure things are brought out correctly. An occasional reminder, especially for utensils, water, etc is needed but if you don't like being hovered over, you'll be happy here. As for the food, this is where I find things to fall short of ideal. Their American items are typically quite good with a short wait, but their South Asian/Fusion items can certainly be a hit or miss from night to night. When you're paying almost $20 per plate with add-ons of rice or naan, or possibly even more, you want to be sure the quality stays high.
