Peacock Elite has been my regular go-to place for morning breakfast. They serve breakfast starting at 8:30 AM and it has been really handy especially WFH and no time to cook. They have recently started burgers and wraps and today I saw a BOGO offer on wraps and decided to give it a try. We got 2 Chettinadu Chicken Wraps, 1 Schezwan Chicken Wrap, and 1 Chicken Tikka Wrap. All three were good, but the Schezwan Chicken wrap was a bit of a disappointment as you expect some Indo-Chinese flavors and some heat, which was missing but a good flavorful food. The portion size is not a snack but is not a meal either. The wraps are served with a bag of potato chips and they do not scrounge on the amount of filling. Overall, a great experience. 4 Wraps plus 4 bags of chips for around $20 inclusive of tax and tips is a great deal. read more

I've only been to this restaurant one time and it was for their lunch buffet. The food was delicious and plentiful for a reasonable price. However, the restaurant room itself was messy and disorganized. Not sure if they were going through some type of remodel or something. Staff was friendly. Practically no customers when I was there but this was in late 2020 (year of Covid) and that could explain the disorder of the restaurant and the lack of customers. Do not eat food from this place! Last week was waiting in a long line to pick up my family special occasion meal when the person in front of me pointed out to everyone two large roaches crawling around the heated food counter. Several people told the staff but they just smiled like it was funny or normal. Some of the people in line turned and left. It sickened me. I ordered a 2lb cake for a birthday. The mistake I did was to order it online. During the online process, there is no clear indication of informing them about the Message on the cake. So they received an order, made the cake WITH NO MESSAGE on it. When I asked for the message to be added while picking up, they said "the person" would not be there on Tuesdays. When you see a custom cake order WITH NO MESSAGE in the order, wouldn't you call in to clarify that? Especially when the order pick up in on a day when "the person" is unavailable? Very good food! Decent service! Went here with a friend on a Saturday night. The place was quite busy. We were seated after a few minutes. They have a full bar with some decent collections - both local well knowns and some from India. We ordered beer, cognac, chicken Masakkali and chicken biryani. The spice levels were perfectly matched to what we asked for. The chicken Masakkali was very yummy and spicy. This is where they missed that one star from me . I went there for dine in, ordered the food at the counter since it is a self service restaurant now. The lady told me the food will be ready in 10 mins.....after patiently waiting for 30 long minutes I finally enquired about the ordered and it was not ready. The lady went in the kitchen and told me that they had forgotten about the order and they are preparing it. I was furious as they already took so much time and had I not enquired They wouldn't have started preparing it. I asked them to cancel my order and they requested me to wait a little more. After 40 mins I finally got my order but they slightly messed that up as well. They gave me plain naan instead of garlic naan after charging me for garlic naan. Finally the owner came and I explained what happened. He was apologetic and asked me to wait for 2 minutes for garlic naan. I wanted to leave but the owner requested to stay and have food. Finally they sorted everything and gave me extra naan. He was quite apologetic with the whole disaster. I am giving two stars only because of the owner otherwise they would deserve 1 star. If I have an option I would not even give them a single star. We went for weekend buffet, they close at around 3 pm and we entered at 2:45pm. They allowed us to go for buffet but when we asked to refill tandoori chicken and extra naan they refused the same giving reason that kitchen is closed now. If their kitchen is going to close they shouldn't allowed us for buffet at first place and since they have allowed they must have provided our request. Tried the new Gongura chicken, very flavorful and just the right amount of spice. Generous amount of bone in chicken that just melts in your mouth. I felt i was in Hyderabad not in Texas. The classic home style chicken was also great - a huge improvement on an already successful classic ! Now with nuts and a more buttery flavor. I started with the Peacock Elite Naan (coconut, dates, almonds, honey) and loved it. Highly recommend. My meal was Butter Chicken and rice. Simple, but classic. I enjoyed it. Of course, no meal is complete without dessert. I had Gulab Jamoon (a little too sweet for my taste) and Kesar Balam Rasmalai (amazing!). Overall, I'd definitely come back! Growing pains. Service is technology driven complete with electronic order taking and one of the few restaurants that take Apple Pay at the table. Too bad the food was delivered out of order. At times dinner items came before appetizers and at times items were delivered one at a time. My beer required six reminders. Wine is over priced. Service needs to be improved and I am sure that future experience will help and restaurant will learn accordingly. Overall, food was average at best. This experience confirms the fact that India Palace Restaurant on Preston Road is the king of Indian restaurants in the DFW area along with Mughlai coming in as a close second. I had a really good meal here with some great friends last night. We found the place via the Yelp app, and were drawn by the great reviews which, as it turns out, are spot on. After being seated, we perused the menu, which is a simple two page affair that lets you hone in on something without getting analysis paralysis. We decided on gobi/corn manchurian and chicken lolipops for starters, both requested (and delivered) medium spicy. The manchurian was delicious, very crispy with a perfect breading and very nice, spicy flavor. The texture of the cauliflower was just right, not too crispy and not mushy. Corn seemed less prominent in the mix, but was nice as well. The chicken was crispy on the outside yet moist on the inside, and if there was a knock at all, the drummers could have been a little meatier For the main courses, we chose chicken biryani, boneless lamb korma, and Gongura goat curry. The biryani had a nice. fluffy, and fragrant rice, with a good sized portion of bone-in chicken beneath. Accompanying raita and curry sauces were delicious, and went well with the garlic naan (very garlicky, in a good way) and green chili naan we selected. The korma was slightly sweet yet spicy, with a thick, great flavored sauce that really clung well to the lamb pieces. The lamb itself was tender, juicy, and had a delicate flavor that definitely said "lamb" and not "mutton". Goat curry was even better, with a dark brown sauce that had a very good spice, and while there were some bone-in pieces, most of it was boneless, which made it easier to eat. Overall, our dishes here were outstanding. Everything tasted great, the presentation was good, and the meats were all very good quality.
