The food is 5/5 This is easily the best Pakistani restaurant in Dallas, or at least it was when I was there. The food was amazing, the Bihari kebab was tender, the paratha was crispy and plentiful, their juices are amazing (incredibly sweet but so good), and their malai chicken was tender and flavorful. It is absolutely terrible eating inside. It is hot and humid and you will be sweating when it is busy. If there is any AC it is completely defeated by their open kitchen concept open grill. I'm not even sure how a restaurant like this can pass inspection, there are no ceiling fans at all. It's much nicer to eat outside, but there is a major fly issue. Whether you have food on the table or not, multiple flys will be coming and going off the table. Speaking of the table, they do not clean them boys properly. We took Lysol wipes and completely wiped down the table outside and not a single fly landed on it afterwards. That's disgusting. Regardless, they would have come when the food came out anyways. They have no fans outside, they don't have any fly fans on the table, no tiki sticks, nothing. It's a nice restaurant where you would expect nice service which is why people are giving this place a low rating. If it were a hole in the wall restaurant serving the same exact food, the service wouldn't be a problem. But the inside is nice so the expectation is that there will be working fans, ventilation, clean tables, etc. Overall, the food was amazing. If this is consistent, I will definitely be coming back.

We got the baby octopus bibimbap with the steamed egg and bulgogi bibimbap with the tofu soup. The banchan was also really fresh and the kimchi really stood out. The portions were huge! I love that the bibimbap comes out on a flat sizzling pan to maximize the crunchy rice you get from it. The baby octopus was delicious and had great flavor. The steamed egg had a spongy texture which and was also really flavorful. The tofu soup was not as thick as some that you might get but it had a really good savory flavor that you can taste in the soup. It was overall a real great experience and a great value if you're going at lunch. Definitely adding to our regular rotation.

Even before the star of the meal appeared, kudos to the smattering of banchan that came out: sprouts, cucumber kimchi, sweet potato, mini meat patties, kimchi, steamed egg, tofu soup, salad greens seasoned, cheese + corn... I hope I didn't miss any! The mushroom bibimbap is flavorful! We've never had this particular bibimbap before and man it goes well with the meat. Beef rib was tender and nice. We wanted it a bit rare :) and it was delish! Dipping sauce was nice but honestly doesn't need it! Oh and the grilled mushroom is good with it. Pork belly was the star of the meal. Had it with 2 week aged grilled kimchi (so special!!) and we got samjang with it, yummm. We were stuffed to the rim and had to take a little box of leftovers home. We were so touched with a little desert rice drink at the end, really rounded out the meal and experience all together. A+ for the service. Amazing job and everything grilled to perfection.

The Good: The…read morecustomer service is very friendly. Very kind workers who are very helpful and explains the menu well. I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant with the large mural of a Hawaiian beach and simple island decor peppered throughout. The restaurant is also very clean. I also was fairly happy with the portion sizes for the chicken dishes. The vegetables in the Hawaiian plates were cooked very well and were really good complements with the lunch meals. What didn't work for me: The decoration alone is where this stopped feeling like a Hawaiian restaurant. The Hawaiian plates felt more Asian inspired rather than true Hawaiian inspired. The flavor is excellent, don't get me wrong, but I felt it was a bit of an identity crisis. The Beef BBQ short rib pieces were fatty and overcooked. I had only a few tender bites of beef but the rest was so chewy and fatty that I had to spit it out. Also only had 6-7 pieces of short rib for a $20 plate which I didn't really feel was worth it. The chicken katsu was crispy however I didn't care for the quality of the chicken meat. It was very stringy and tough to bite through in some areas. I was very much looking forward to the macaroni salad but it was just fine. I had high hopes for this one but it just wasn't creamy enough to blow me away. If you have ever visited a Hawaiian island and ever felt like you needed a fix of that memorable vacation, this place won't bring you back to those island memories but you will still be treated very well from a very kind staff. Their attitude is very aloha however I hope one day I can take a bite of their meal and be transported back to island vibes. I would recommend this place if you want solid Asian flavors, but not Hawaiian island specific flavors.

When I came in I ordered the Lady Bird Salad. I wasn't necessarily going for healthy but I wanted something light and this did both, satisfied my appetite and was a healthy option according to my dietary needs. It is a great portion size. I ate about 3/4 of the salad without guilt lol. I tried both the prickly pear lemonade and the ginger I think it's a soda with cane sugar. I enjoyed both. I did not catch the gentleman's name at the register but he was quick, efficient and pleasant. I like the dining room especially on a day like today, it was beautiful out so there was a nice breeze coming through. I would definitely recommend and also return here to try other items.

I've tried a few things here. $4 for sides. I thought the side was small.. Cole slaw was ok. The skinny fries are skinny and a decent portion. Tried the sliced brisket sandwich ($11.79). Didn't have much flavor. I used a bit of the BBQ sauce, but I feel it didn't add much either?? the price for the sandwich is decent though. I liked the burnt ends. I wish there was a place for self serve pickles. BBQ is competitive in Texas, so it's alright.

Juicy and well seasoned with a nice crispy top. We got lean pieces without too much fat on it which was perfect! The Dino rib was humongous! I was hoping the meat would've been fall off the bone tender but it wasn't. I think it would've been better if it were more tender. The pork ribs and burnt ends were pretty solid as well. Good seasoning and the burnt ends had a good crisp to it. I think if they cut the burnt ends smaller it would be more crispy lol I really love a good baked potato and this has to be one of the best loaded baked potato's out there! The potato was soft and stuffed with butter, cheese, bacon and chives. It's good to eat with the meats to balance out some of the flavors. I was craving a good corn bread and this one was pretty good. It was moist and fluffy with the perfect amount of sweet and corn ratio. Overall it was pretty good bbq! This time I got a text and went to the front and they made my food. Sides were lack luster and I got the potato salad and coleslaw. I ordered the rack of ribs, some brisket (1/2 pound) and one texas twinky. The brisket was decent, not too fatty and still tender. The spicy bbq sauce was pretty good to me but my parents still liked Rudy's better. The ribs were okay... good flavor but kind of dry. Texas twinky was okay... solid spice.
