Our food totally blew us away. The chicken in the mud dish was like a fusion of Indian & Thai. Heavy ginger spice in the curry which we loved. My chicken pad thai was some of the best I've had in Omaha. And the mango crab rangoons were large & really well done. Portions are large. I wanted everything on the drink menu. We loved the Thai chili margarita & the Phuket punch. The inside is also a vibe. Service was great & super friendly. Can't wait for summers with their patio!!!

It's been cold out. So I went to check this place out. And wow I'm glad I did. I ordered the mussels which had some much flavor so yummy. Then I tried the coconut shrimp and I tell you when you bite into them you can taste the coconut essence. Got the roast duck stir fry wow soft almost melt in your mouth feel and the strips of roast duck wow worth a try. Then I tried red curry with pork belly I was just amazed. And the fried rice with shrimp and pork belly my mouth was loving every minute of each bite.

Mai Thai was closed a good portion of Summer 2025 as it remodeled and changed ownership I believe. I'd been wanting to try it after it reopened earlier this fall so when I was thinking of getting NYE takeout, that was my first choice. There are many of the same items on their menu but also some new ones. I was also pleased to see they had different pricing for lunch and dinner menus with the lunch menu pricing lasting until 3pm. Online ordering was very easy and uses Toast to check out. I set my order to pick up at 3pm and it was ready on time. I always use the 30 minute parking stalls in the public parking garage since it's a short walk from there. I like the renovations when I walked in! The furniture was black instead of white and it felt a lot more open without the little desk at the front and partition down the middle. The bar was always there but seemed more prominent and inviting. There's more of an entry way also which probably helps keep wind and weather blowing in every time the door opens. It wasn't busy yet but the gal working (Nicole?) was cheerful and pleasant. Our takeout meals were delicious! I'm not sure if they were lunch or dinner portions but it was enough to eat half and save half for the next day. I'm so glad they reopened and I look forward to my next visit!!

Not sure why the waiter Katy T works here if she has horrible costumer service. Since we sat down she rushed us, made us feel uncomfortable the whole time. We were not done ordering and she had brought our bill. When I advised we were still ordering, she got defensive. Don't have a job that you don't want. It had been years since I came back as I got food poisoning years ago last time I was here. Good was great but service was absolutely terrible. I still left a tip although it was NOT deserved. Thank you for reminding me not to come back

I had an order of spring rolls and the red curry chicken. Spring rolls were a healthy helping but taste was just OK. The red curry with no bamboo was tasty. I may try them again next time in town. Service was attentive and professional. Restaurant was clean.

My friends and I went to eat last night and had a blast! We made a reservation just in case, but when we showed up a tad early, we were seated right away. The waiter came over and got our order immediately. The food came quickly and we were so pleased! My two friends for chicken Pad Thai, and I got chicken Pad See Eew with a side of rice. The portions are very generous. I put half of mine in a box because dessert was a must. I ordered mango sticky rice and it deserves a chef's kiss! We stayed got there a little after six and stayed until they closed at 9. We never felt pressured to leave, the music was tailored to our millennial tastes and kept the vibe just as we wanted. Thanks for such a great experience!

When I eat here it feels like my soul leaves my body and starts ascending, that is how good it is. Service Um, ed, and Maggie are genuinely some of my favorite servers in the whole world; sometimes when I go here I'm looking forward to seeing them as much as I am the food. While sometimes it can be a bit slow, that is because the kitchen is taking their time for you, no shortcuts. Food Every time I eat here I think, "it can possibly get better than last time," but guess what, it does. Every thing I have gotten here has been AMAZING, for example the drunken noodles and the pad Thai, and don't get me started on the pho, absolutely heavenly. Ambience Khao Niao has some of the best ambience. Every time you eat here you can look around and find something new. They focus on a wood interior with beautifully crafted tables and archways. Along with some little fountains 10/10 ambiance Overall Khao niao is as good as it gets, by far my favorite restaurant!

Also can be nosy so not ideal if your looking for intimate vibes. It was also so busy with takeout orders as well - which I cant blame anyone for! The food tops it all! This is hands down the best thai in omaha. I have a friend that has tried many thai places here and recommended this place to me. We always go with the pad thai but definitely want to branch out next time we go. It is a little on the pricier side but thats what you get for high quality food. You also get to choose your spice level. We will continue to come back!!

Stopped by Mercy Thai Restaurant and had a really solid meal…read more Started with the fresh spring rolls -- super crisp veggies, fresh herbs, and perfectly cooked shrimp. The dipping sauce had a nice sweet and tangy balance that tied it all together. You can tell everything was made fresh. The soup was just what I wanted too. Light but really flavorful broth, plenty of herbs and green onions, and comforting without feeling heavy. Service was friendly, food came out quick, and the overall vibe was relaxed and easy. Great local spot when you're in the mood for fresh, flavorful Thai food. Would definitely come back.

Honestly I was really disappointed with Mercy Thai…read more The chicken wings were completely flavorless. They literally just seemed battered in panko and fried with no seasoning at all. 0/10. The crab rangoons sounded good from the description -- cream cheese, crab pieces, onion, and carrots -- but they were WAY too sweet for my taste. Not to mention there were none of the ingredients described inside?! Seems like it was only cream cheese and sugar. Then the sweet chili sauce that came with them was super watery and just made it worse. 2/10 overall. I also tried my boyfriend's drunken noodles and... mid at best Definitely not something I'd come back for. Maybe other menu items are better, but based on what I tried, I personally wouldn't recommend it.

I do love pad thai itself, but I unfortunately did NOT love "I Love Pad Thai" the restaurant…read more We ordered it for delivery when we were working one day and couldn't make it out for lunch/didn't have time to make lunch ourselves. I know everywhere is better if you eat it inside, but if they offer delivery, I think that it should be about on par with what you get in the restaurant (because they certainly charge the same or more than dining in). This either was just not great from the get go, or it lost a LOT of quality in the delivery time. I don't think that's the case, because a delivery time doesn't make most of the food almost FLAVORLESS. Cold, maybe - but flavor doesn't vanish from it being delivered? So if you couldn't tell, we were not fans of almost anything we received. My Pad See Yew was literally flavorless. It tasted like WATER was used for the "sauce" on it. The chicken in it was also very stringy and dry. My husband got the Pad Thai, which did have a little bit more flavor, with the peanut sauce, but not a whole lot more. The only saving grace was the fried dumpling appetizer we ordered. Those were tasty and the dipping sauce they came with was good (it said it was just soy sauce but it wasn't super salty like soy sauce, more sweet). At almost $50 for two entrees that were basically untouched because they were so dry and flavorless, I would say order elsewhere or dine inside so you can gauge what you are getting in person.

For the price, my portion was small and the chicken had a rubbery flavor. And it was very greasy!…read moreToo bad it's in a great location.
