This review is long overdue. I used them to ship out items while I was working next door. The employees there are super friendly and know all of their customers by name. I also had a mailbox there for about a year--which was super convenient since you have 24/7 access to it! There's plenty of street parking available as well as ample parking located behind the building. read more

I received personal service from the proprietor, himself, Jonathan. He was such a pleasant, young man, forthcoming with all of the information I needed to make a decision. I didn't even bother shopping around, he made such a great and personal impression on me. One very particular action stood out to me and thoroughly impressed me. Jonathan began assisting his next client as I was busy filling out my paperwork. Once I was done, he immediately handled my needs. THAT NEVER HAPPENS TO ME! I am typically made to wait after another customer is served and then my needs are addressed. I don't know why...I think it may be due to an individual's biases based on one's perceived degree of importance...again, I don't know why. In any event, I appear more youthful than I am (mostly due to my juvenile behavior) and I'm a woman of culture as evidenced by my olive skin tone and dark hair. None of that mattered. Jonathan still offered me service immediately, once my paperwork was done. I wouldn't have even minded if he took the next customer who was an elderly, Caucasian woman but he didn't. Again, THAT NEVER HAPPENS TO ME! He even went so far as to take a moment to come out from behind the counter and show me where my box was located, with customers waiting for his assistance. Let me start by saying I rarely write a bad review. Usually if I have nothing nice to say I say nothing at all. Furthermore, as a longstanding resident of L.A.s Westchester neighborhood, I'm committed to shopping and doing business with local merchants. But in this case, I have a big problem with the information that was passed on to me by the self-described owner of MAIL CALL. After informing me that shipping wine from a non-licensed individual was illegal, which may or not be accurate, he said that I should go to another shipper and send the wine without declaring what was in the package. I then asked if he would do it, and he replied he didn't want to do something illegal. After I challenged his knowledge of the law pertaining to wine shipping, he told me to leave in a rude and unfriendly manner. I get his concern with following law, even though I don't agree that what I wanted to do was illegal. And that is ultimately irrelevant to this review. After I left it occurred to me that he was advocating that I break the law, by going to another shipper and not informing them of the contents of the box. And if he is correct and it is in fact illegal, I will then put the other shipping service at risk as well. So, the owner of Mail Call supports me doing something illegal as long as he doesn't know about it? I take pride in not skirting or breaking the law. And I will not recommend or do business with firms that can't see suggesting I do so is inappropriate. read more

Every time I come into Mail Call I have the most pleasant experiences! I had been trying to wrap my head around shipping costs and the best way to send my aunt some late holiday gifts and usually when I go into a store like this or even Fedex, the employees seem to be counting the minutes to leave but here Jonathan and his team treats me like family and even my dumbest questions are answered with much respect and kindness. Needless to say my packages got checked in, sent out and received with no problems whatsoever. I will go out of my way to ship all of my packages through this location and I highly recommend you do the same. I love that this place is down the street from me. Being right in Westchester Village, there is ample free parking in the lot in back. Easy! I brought a package here to ship to the east coast and the guy who helped me was friendly and personable. He helped me decide which option was best for me. It's a great place to ship from if you aren't sure which method you would like to use (or if you need to price compare). They ship via UPS, FedEx, and USPS. I ended up going with USPS because it was the cheapest option, so I could have just gone to the post office, but by coming to Mail Call I avoided the long line of the post office and I at least knew what my other options were, and was assured I got the best price. If I could share 10 Stars for this family run postal service, I would do so in a heartbeat. In the last month alone, I've had two emergencies with shipping. Jonathan, the owner, to the rescue. He's gone above & beyond to make magic happen w my time sensitive shipments. He's personal ! He cares ! He's kind ! Essentially, he's treated me like a family member, going way out of his way to help me. He takes time to research a situation. Today I had to return a 'bum' cellular device. In tandem, I needed to activate the new replacement. It meant me being off both devices while a VZ CS agent helped me. Jonathan was super supportive & allowed me to use his office fone. What?? Unheard of, not to mention, it's still Covid. It was close to closing!! Jonathan's concern was ensuring I got my old device returned to save me the penalty imposed by the carrier. Ditto all the glowing reviews here. I only use Mail Call as my PO Box and for shipping once in a great while, and over the past year Jon's service has been perfect. Box rental is reasonable and SO SUPERIOR to having a USPS box address. On numerous occasions something's been mis-addressed but he gets it to me anyway. If I call and he's not busy, Jon will let me know if something's arrived so I can save myself a drive if need be. I'm keeping this address so long as I'm in the area and he's running the show. read more

I love this place. They are always so friendly and helpful. I drop off all my shipments there from various shippers. Special shout out to Jonathan who helped me so much when FedEx seemed to lose a shipment of mine. Jonathan walked me through how to pressure FedEx to do a trace on the shipment and was going to talk to his FedEx driver to see what else we could do. Fortunately, after we put the tracer, the shipment was found but Jonathan was my voice of reason when I was ticked off that a birthday present wasn't going to arrive on time.
