Our bowling lane was broken from the start -- the pins wouldn't reset properly, and the ball return barely worked. We told the staff multiple times and were told it would be fixed, but nothing happened. We spent more time waiting around than actually bowling. No offer of a refund or compensation, just a shrug. If I wanted to pay to sit around doing nothing, I could've stayed home. Total waste of money and time. Do better, Main Event. read more

My boyfriend and I came during the hours of 4-6pm on a Tuesday. We started with trying to play the arcade games and quickly realized that the majority of the games didn't work, luckily Dulz the manager on duty was there to assist us providing wonderful customer service with an amazingly professional effort. Unfortunately the rest of the staff on duty was EXTREMELY dismissive and unprofessional. Even when approaching the bar to order drinks/food (because the bowling waitress was nonexistent) the 4 staff members standing there did not acknowledge my presence for quite a while, and stood around laughing and talking to each other. Mind you we were pretty much the only people there. They gave the feeling that I was disturbing them. I spent over $50 for an over cooked pizza, a dried chicken sandwich with Brussel sprouts that had cheese on it hard enough to buss a window. I came here on Friday and this place was so cool. I really liked the different arcade games. We weren't really into the bowling and the laser tag but this is so cute for date night or just to relive your childhood. The highlight for me was the virtual slaying thing in the entrance when you come in. That was really cool and I felt like I was really in the game! After about an hour, we were ready to go. I wish I could rate this location ZERO STARS. This was the worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. I took my gf here to go bowling. Both girls at the front desk counter for the bowling showed PISS POOR customer service. Did not greet us or even speak when we stepped to the counter, speaking at a low volume, body language and facial expressions as if we're annoying them by being there. Once we paid for the bowling, the girl did not even tell us what lane to go to and looked at us like we were wrong for asking which lane to go to. On top of that, the lane was already taken. I went back to the counter to wait to speak to the other girl and she had the exact same energy and answered a FaceTime call and talked as if I wasn't standing right in front of her looking for assistance. Every single person we encountered wearing a purple or pink Main Event shirt was neither helpful, happy, or concerned with our experience INCLUDING MANAGEMENT. Everyone seemed annoyed when we asked for any assistance. However, throughout this HORRIBLE experience the young man taking photos was the only pleasant part of this experience. Management needs to train their staff on customer service or seek new management. 100% would not recommend this location to anyone. read more

Awful, more than half the arcade games are broken. Luckily I payed for the Friday Night pass with unlimited game play, so me loosing credits wasn't a big of deal. If I had payed for credits these broken games are taking credits and not working. Also kinda sucks you get ZERO tickets with the pass. I understand the games that are guaranteed tickets but the ones that aren't should give some tickets to the Friday night pass players . read more

I brought my son here on a Tuesday night around 6pm and it was not crowded which was nice. It's right below the AMC Movie theater. There is plenty of free parking since it is in a plaza. There is a deck below for additional parking. My main issue with this place is that about half of their machines don't work and most don't have signs so they take your points and you have to keep going to the award shop to get them out back on. It's ridiculous. I also had a VR experience card the we couldn't t use because most of the VR machines where broke. And when I finally found a working one it took the points of my card and didn't work. By that point I was so frustrated we just left. I will not be back. This was my 2nd time giving this place a try and both were fails. read more

This ME location has definitely went south & not in a good way. The game machines didn't work & the ones that did were missing equipment to use the game thus causing a waste of money on the card. The server never came to our lane. The server which I am sure was alerted that there were people at the lane. I also went & asked for one & we completed an entire hour of bowling without anyone coming to check on us for anything we needed. When I finally found someone & alerted them we were looking for food it took quite a while for someone to finally get over to us. I would understand if it was busy but that was not this case. This place is terrible. Great place to beat kids out of money.. as an adult I know better.. they will over charge you every chance they get. It's all kids and very young people working here so if you have an issue customer service is a joke. Guess what we some issues with both the games and the food, the food was actually ok. The issue was the waitress but a 22% tip on our bill without notice or permission. But I'd never go back here or recommend this place. They are very unprofessional in almost every area of this place but that's to be expected with all very young people working there. I know better now. I chose Main Event's BDYW for my son's 9th Birthday, and it was sooooo great. I'm so glad I chose it. I live in East Point, so I was worried it would be to far for folks to go, but we had 10 kids (plus 1 toddler) and it was so perfect. I looked at Bowlero Atlantic Station, Your 3rd Spot, and 2 Chuckie Cheeses, and all of them were great, but more expensive with less to do. I would also be remised to mention that it was the 1st time that I felt comfortable letting my little one hang out with the rest of the kids without 'helicoptering' over him. While the kids were having fun in the arcade, me and the other moms were bowling without worry. Everything was GREAT. If you're thinking about it as an option, go visit it. You'll need to reserve it 3 days in advance. read more

I can only speak on the perspective of the food as I did not play any games. The kids in our group played games and they seemed to be entertained. We ordered a pizza bundle (wings, cheesesticks, 1 topping pizza) and it was a pretty good value and we had left overs after feeding 2 adults and 2 kids and 1 teenager. The bundle cost under $40.00 but of course we left a tip. We had started eating and full by the time I took pictures, but the presentation was acceptable prior to pictures. Our server was wearing a pink shirt, black pants, mature black woman, and she said she was fairly new working here. She was polite, attentive, and respectful. We went on a Saturday and of course there was birthday parties happening all around, I was here celebrating a birthday too...but our server stayed on top of it! Food was hot and drinks were filled. The food was ok. It's doesn't taste as if they use a signature sauce or anything that would make you crave coming back here. it was a basic pizza and cheese sticks but it was satisfying! I liked that the wings were actually "chicken wings" meaty and flavorful...and not miniature chicken bones with hard fried meat on them, lol! I wanted to try a mocktail but I got full. So I may press my luck and try them again. The previous reviews were awful so I'm so glad that we had a good experience. Parking was plentiful but you may have bit of a walk so wear comfortable shoes. Parenting tip: I saw several smaller children around and I don't think this is a place suitable for smaller children (toddlers and babies) as the atmosphere is really busy and the babies may get lost in the mix or trampled over by older kids, and most parents leave their kids unattended in places like this. In my opinion, age 10 and up would do good here. Toddlers and babies would have a Better experience at chucky cheese as that place caters to a more younger audience. Here currently, so far I've spent $50 on a game card and had 4 out of the 15 games I was actually able to play take my credits and not allow me to play, and 2 of the remaining 11 had inaccurate ticket amounts (I won 26 tickets and received 8, etc.) Winner's choice section offers prizes upwards of 800 points and after spending over 275 credits on faulty, broken and or inaccurately rewarding games ($50) I wound up with around 570 redeemable points. I left with two packs of candy. The arcade is a definite no, save your money and your time. Im currently sitting in their little pizza parlor, I ordered a personal pan pizza, an order of wings, two soft drinks, and a cup of gelato (total: $32.83). The young woman who took my order handed me a buzzer about 30 minutes ago, I'm still waiting. The tables were not clean, there is receipts and straw wrappers scattered on the floor, along with what appears to be remnants of a spilled beverage on the drink counter. The sink in the women's restroom also had blood in it, by the time I went back to take a photo, I passed an employee who had just cleaned it. When I finally get my pizza, I will include photos of the environment I had to eat in and the quality of the food I waited *updated** 35 minutes for. If I could post videos, I would provide proof of their uncalibrated games, but since that isn't a function, you'll just have to take my word for it. The food was decent, but hardly worth the price. Due to the damaged and filthy environment I was exposed to after spending close to $100.00 without bowling or participating in anything other than a few arcade games and sitting down to have some pizza, I can confidently say that I will not be returning. read more

Such a waste of money. Half the games are broken at any given time. Some will still take your credit and not let you play the game. We had a reserved bowling lane for 4:30 and didn't even get a lane until almost 5. We had 40 minutes left on our time and they told us we had to move to another lane, that other lane was occupied and they wouldn't give us another one. There were so many lanes not being used. We asked for a refund for the bowling and had to fill out a form, waiting on that. It was a bummer of a Birthday for our friend as we continued to run into problems. This place has gone downhill. I held a team building event here at Main Event, and it turned out to be an amazing time! From the ease of booking the event, with Gemma and Shawn to a very informative walk through of the facility with Angela, to a flawless banquet execution with Laurise and Warren, I couldn't have asked for a better team to partner with to pull this event off successfully! We had a full on Mexican feast, which included some vegetarian and gluten free options to satisfy our group's various dietary needs. Some of the dishes included vegetarian quesadillas, chicken tinga, tacos and grilled chicken! Desserts offered included 2 kinds of fresh and hot churros stuffed with caramel or chocolate and mini ice cream bars. Then it was on to the gaming! Our group of approximately 65 had All Play cards which entitled each person to 3 hours of unlimited play. Our package included bowling (4 lanes, shoe rental), laser tag (we had 4 scheduled 15 min sessions) and the sky obstacle course that's high above the event space! The bartenders were amazing and the drinks were very good. All the attendees at the laser tag and obstacle course were very informative and answered all our stupid questions , with grace and courtesy! They definitely deserve a shout out for ensuring our safety! As the company host, I was always checked on by any given Sales team member and the banquet hosts, which I found to be impeccable A+ service. I have been inundated with "thank you's "and the my team is feeling recharged and more united. Thanks to all at Main Event. Can't wait to do it again! read more

This is a terrible place to bring your family or spend any money . Upon arrival, the crowds are poorly managed, although there is significant police presence outside . Clearly the place is short staffed, but even with that the working employee are just so nasty and dismissive. The game card machines offer just a glimmer of option to do self service in the midst of the bustling crowd, but even though they are there they don't work and we missed our spot in the main line trying to get game cards!! The bar is an absolute mess. We approached the bar for drinks and were completely overlooked , even after bringing to the attention of bar staff . Brandi and an unnamed woman with a struggling ponytail- awful attitudes and definitely need some sensitivity training around customer service. We were told our orders would be taken in just a moment and yet this young lady opted to serve a larger group who came in after us - what are we after .. a larger tip?!!! When asking the other young lady for some help, she dismissed us saying she was heading home and walked off .... Meanwhile she continued to service the bar and never made eye contact again. Crazy! We overhead someone nearby speaking to a manager, to which the manager replied, "What do you want? I'm busy." I'm appalled at that behavior. One of the bartenders even informed one of my guests that the Hennessy in the bottle on the bar wasn't filled with real Hennessy and persuaded her to order something else. The overall beverage service took over 45 min to retrieve drinks and I am sorely disappointed. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE !!! Willis is the worst when it comes down to management ! Me and my family walked into the establishment at 11 o'clock and the first place that we stopped was the restroom which was very disgusting smelled like weed and was not cleaned for the trash. Most definitely needed to be taken out. As I approached the host table there was a group of staff member standing there one was flirting with a security guard. I asked if we were allowed to sit down and order some food. The security guard responded that they close at 12 keep in mind. It only had to be 11:10pm . I didn't proceeded to ask if we were or able to order food to go and the lady said yes let me go clean off a table for you if you want to sit down. The whole staff walked away with the exception of one person closing out other bills. This young man told me that he was gonna close out the bills and then be able to proceed and help us. After I asked if we could go to the bar and order there was no response. it is now 11:55pm and I had spoke to the young lady that was standing there, flirting with the security guard. She proceeded to say that the dining area was now closed, and I have to go to the bar and order after I stood there for almost an hour with no help while we were standing there and they were talking. I didn't approach the host podium, where a young lady that was a worker with piercings in her face was able to help us and to call Manager . This young lady had a cup of liquor and I can smell it on her breath. She called Willis And he was no help at all. He did not want to hear out my complaint, and he was really upset with the fact that we even called him over. He then looked at me and stop me and cut me off and told me that I can either order at the bar or sit down at the high-rise and order online. I was thrown off by the attitude as he was no help, and I asked him for corporate number, and he walked away. We arrived around 8:30ish, with 3 kids and 3 adults. We paid for a bowling lane and were quoted an hour, so in the meantime thought we could play games and grab some food to kill time. Unfortunately, half the games do NOT work, and you swipe your card for absolutely NOTHING. I do NOT even want to share the experience with the service, well really lack there of service. We waited over 15 mins for someone to even greet us, NOT just seat us but to greet us. All in all we got sat AFTER about 20 mins and it only got worst from there. The server seemed sweet, but was overwhelmed, slow as molasses; and annoyed. We ordered a lot of food, and drinks. Food took over 45 min ONLY to arrive colder than The North Pole! Drinks got to the table after the food. The order was NOT only cold but WRONG! I requested these things be "made right", however the establishment wanted to fix them; but that meant absolutely nothing. It meant eat cold food, food u did NOT order; and pay the hefty tab and tip! No one offered to remake the food( almost waiting almost 45 mins they could have just taken it and we paid for the drinks that came after...For good measure. Y'all really need to do better. My visit today was definitely a 2/10. I gave it a 2 bc my boyfriend and I always make the best out of situations. We Uber's instead of driving which is the only reason we stayed. My 1st issue was after me purchasing a card to use we put $20 on it which gave us 100pts I believe. We each played a game that was 7.5(I believe) points each so let's just say a total of 16pts. After that game it told me I had 43 points left. 3/4 of the games wouldn't work and just take the points. This is a problem bc a kid wouldn't think to go get $ back or points credited. And the typical parent isn't going to keep loading the kid card bc they would think they were going through the games too fast. You are robbing these kids of experiences. Another issue is that one of the male attendants working there was literally walking through the center with both of his hands in the front of his pants. This was very offensive. It's supposed to be a family friendly environment. What message is that sending impressionable kids? The bar area wasn't even doing what they were supposed to be doing. The bar tender was making my drink, grabbed a plate from another employee to give to a customer, grabbed a receipt and continued with my drink without washing hands once. This place is absolutely HORRIBLE. The front desk workers, and the waiters/waitresses for the bowling section gave the absolute worst service I've ever had. I wouldn't go back if they told me it was free, prices are already high enough so the service should be impeccable. None of the workers we encountered spoke to us unless they were spoken too and acted as if my boyfriend and I were bothering them if we asked for help or a question about something. I'm not from Atlanta but I live here I have family and friends that come to visit and that would have been a great place to take them. But I'm never stepping foot in that establishment ever again. And I definitely won't recommend that location to anyone ever. The staff needs to be trained on basic communication skills, and true customer service. There's no professionalism whatsoever. If I was a secret shopper I would report every worker I came into contact with. My boyfriend is pretty laid back guy, and even he was upset with the service and treatment we received. The only person who acknowledged us was the photographer he was very warm and respectful. The rest of the workers should be ashamed of themselves. I love the concept and space of Main Event. There are very few places where you can do Laser Tag, Zip lining, arcade andddd bowling, plus they have a full-service restaurant and bar. It's a great place to have a birthday party. We enjoyed bowling, arcade, and laser tag during our visit. However, they seemed to struggle logistically - we were hungry and decided to get a bite to eat - it seemed like half the menu was out of stock - I tried ordering 3 things before one item was finally available. (no queso for nachos, no bone-in wings, etc finally settled on sliders). I would've loved cocktails and more snacks while bowling but there were 0 waiters to take your order, which was odd because they provided menus at each lane. Laser tag was fun but half of the play time was wasted trying to figure out how to work the laser gun - the person operating the experience provided absolutely no instructions - we had the vests on backward and another guest helped us while he lazily sat there. Seems like an easy enough job but he didn't seem like he wanted to be there and was not helpful. This place would be incredible if they could operate it more efficiently. read more

I ended up visiting this location due to founders day weekend. I hadn't walked around to see the location but we were back by the playroom 2, different waitresses were taking orders, There were a lot of us but the service was slow. I had ordered a Strawberry mojito from the waitress and it was never received. I had to go to the bar to order another. The waitress came back to me to ask about the drink which I told her I never received but brought my friends theirs after a while. The line for the bar eventually got long due to the slow service we were receiving. We went bowling at 10pm and the bowling went smooth, no problem getting our shoes and getting to our lane to bowl. I left hungry but all n all I had a good time and I will visit again to see if the service changes. read more

Soooo many machines were not working but there was no notice that they were not working. Each time I was told to go back up to the winners circle to get credits back in my card - after 4 times doing this then got tired of it. When I asked a worker about putting a sign on them she just shrugged. When I asked for the manager the manager just said "well they were working and are supposed to have error on the screen". Again I was like - put a sticky note that says "not working". Got no apologies or anything. Just a lot of shrugs. We won't be back. read more
