We frequently have our birthday parties at similar event places and have never had an issue but this was our first time at Main Event for a party. It was absolutely a waste of money. 50% of the games are missing balls and parts or just flat out don't work. But they don't tell you that, or turn them off even though we all know they're aware. They let you swipe the card for about a buck fifty each game and then you realize there are no skee balls or basketballs or air hockey pucks coming out ever and they clearly don't care (no real way to get your credit back either, would have taken all night to put up that fight and I just wanted to have a good date night) No signage for broken games, but you better believe those scanners still take your credit. Could be great, used to be better a few years ago, now it's trashy and clearly not being maintained. Go to D&B instead, was a seriously disappointing experience. We spent $106 on two game cards, and at least another $50-60 on four drinks. Bartenders ignored us for a solid 30 minutes first time around. not gonna say it was purposeful, but it sure felt purposeful considering we were the only customers that were white and gay and the only people not getting served by the all black staff. Tons of other black and straight customers who came in after us immediately got service right in front of our faces. Only got service once we pulled the Goldman Sachs card out and started waiving it around, better believe we had drinks within 5 minutes of doing that, but not by the girl working our corner of the bar, another bartender (man) came over from around the bar and served us once he saw the desperate look on our faces as we waved our Card around. I hate even typing that out, I wish it hadn't happened. one of my favorite parts of Atlanta is it's diversity, but it was so blatantly obvious we were being purposefully ignored for some reason that it's the only logical conclusion I can come to. Extremely long lines to purchase/reserve bowling. Food situation and service needs major work..person at register had no idea how to use register. Menu items posted over head actually unavailable so why are they displayed? Literally waited 30-45 minutes just to order. Food was so/so... Half of very few games were not working. A fun Christmas activity! We went to main event on Christmas, which was open from 12pm onward. Parking is free and vast. Inside looks pretty impressive. There are shuffleboard tables, a restaurant and bar, an arcade with a ropes jungle gym and VR areas, and bowling. We went for the bowling service, so cannot speak on the rest of the activities. But the all day arcade pass seemed like a great deal at $21/person. We were able to rent shoes and lanes easily. The lanes are fun and multicolored spotlights light the pins. You can also take pictures as your avatar and they act out skits depending in your plays. The food here was surprisingly good for an arcade. We got loaded fries w cheese and bacon, buffalo wings and fries. The fries were hot and crispy, and soft inside. Buffalo wings were spicy and tangy. Boneless wings may have been better considering youre touching other things, but we were able to get hand sanitizer. Overall its a fun place to check out for kids and adults, with plenty of variety to keep everyone interested. read more

I placed the below photos just so, everyone is aware that I actually have been here. These photos were taken in the first 10 minutes of us being there. When we still had hoped for this place being any semblance of good. 1) For the love of everything precious don't be a walk-in. All the arcade games are the basic ones you find anywhere but, ALL dual player games had one side that was busted or was in clear need of recalibration. Anything worth actually doing like bowling and laser tag you must schedule. Then the website list gravity ropes but, I couldn't find that anywhere in the building. 2) I'm sorry to tell you that if you have a large family that is an issue. This place was not built to seat large families. You can only have six people at any table or booth and you can't sit in the birthday section. Despite no other birthdays being scheduled on that day besides the 1 out of 6 tables. Mind you we didn't even count as a group on the website so, it's not like you can place a reservation or anything. It took us FOREVER to get a table because, mainly because, no one wanted to sit at a dirty table. I could point out 4 tables that needed to be bussed and wiped down but, weren't even touched even after an hour of waiting. 3) Prepare to spend more money than necessary. Especially for arcade games. The points on your FUNcard would probably leave you bankrupt. I wouldn't have even been upset about the prices if I was having a good time but, the experience just WAS NOT worth it. The arcade games realistically won't be entertaining for anyone over the age of 7 and that is being generous. 4) Cleanliness. I see a lot of reviews about their COVID policies and people praising the place for sanitizing and temp checks as soon as you walk in the door but, if you aren't even gonna keep people 6ft apart and have the building packed then it's redundant. There IS NO POINT. Some people when they have COVID don't display symptoms. Which means sanitizer and temp checks are the preliminaries to any cautions you should take. 5) Usually when your seated somewhere the server is suppose to come introduce themselves and give you a menu right? Well not if you are here. Any good business knows about capacity. Do NOT let in more than you can handle especially during COVID. If the majority of the people who need to eat can't even sit down then there's to many. Mind you I waited until the next day in the afternoon to write this review and I'm mad I waisted my money and I'm upset that I spent the only day I'll have with my mom and little brothers for a while in this sh*thole. There is still so much in my brain that I could tell you about from this experience alone but, I dont want to spend all day typing. Sooo...I am going to keep this short and sweet. Me and partner went to this place on a date. Decided to eat before we played games and get a few drinks. We ordered a personal pizza and a PBB&J Burger and waited almost 1 hour and a half for the burger. I ordered a pina colada which was pretty decent and I ordered another drink after. I believe it was a Strawberry Lemonade that was Spiked. And I'm like WHERE IS OUR FOOD!? The pizza arrived and no complaints there it was hot and fresh. But the burger NEVER came. People around us were getting their food and this burger with tots never did. The bartender was cool but she came around twice telling me that they were making the Tots "right now" tots only take 5 min. Overall I seen all the staff in the back thru the glass window talking to eachother with Various foods waiting to be dropped off. So more people could have cold food I guess. When this burger came y'all, I had piping hot tots and The Bread on this burger was like a crouton! The sauces were dry on it because it had been sitting on this window the entire time aka an hour. I was so mad. They took it off the bill and we're going to remake it but we ended up just leaving. Never bowled or played games because of this terrible experience. It progressed to this negative vibe and this goes to show you why you even leave reviews. I was Disappointed and also at Cobb county for even having this type of service. HORRIBLE SERVICE. Sat in a bowling lane for one hour and got zero service, asked three times for a waiter never received one. Had to spend 45 minutes out of my one hour bowling trying to get water for my friends ON HER BIRTHDAY! Asked a "manager" for a refund she would not do that for us all she said was "y'all bowled though right" mind you we only got to bowl for 15 minutes and spend the rest of the time trying to get CUPS OF WATER AND DRINKS! rolled her eyes multiple times and just didn't want to do her job. I've never been to such a horrible establishment. If you're going to plan on spending $100+ to enjoy time with family/friends or celebrate an event do yourself a favor and DO NOT go here. Came here for a few hours of fun in between other vacation experiences. The prices are high, but that would be okay if you were getting quality entertainment. Don't waste your time or money here. The first three games my boys tried to play, didn't work. Each time we had to go to the counter and get the credits put back on our card. There were several other games that allowed us to swipe and took the credits but the games weren't functioning. It got to be so bad, I just took pictures of the games that weren't working so I could remember them all to get them credited back on our cards. Who knows how many other times my boys just kept swiping their cards not knowing they were loosing credits waiting for the games to work. We were there over an hour and the staff never put any "out of order" signs on the games that weren't working. What a joke! I will not be back. My experience at the "main event" was frustrating. It started off pretty smooth with the lady "Jaleah" at the front counter & ended distastefully with workers at the bowling counter. After purchasing a bowling game around 10pm that evening, we were told the wait time is about 30 mins give or take. We waited it out by playing tons of a arcade games. My friend invited my family of 4 here. She lives in Atlanta and my family and I were visiting from Florida. There were a few glitches with the games. I informed one of the staff who works in the gift shop and he was very helpful. Keep in mind we're waiting on our bowling time and was never called after an hour have gone by. We were told 30 mins, that's a significant misjudgment of time. I was concerned that they either skipped us or forgot about us. Come to find out they are just unorganized. My friend and I go to the counter to asked how much longer is the wait bc we were told 30 mins and it's now 11:15pm. If the wait is any longer, we'll have to get our money back. One young lady ignores the 1st question of "how much longer would it be?" & technically answers our 2nd question by directing us to the counter to where we can get our money back. We proceeded to inform her that she didn't answer the first question. She gets an attitude and the guy next to her (her coworker) takes over and says your the next one and I believe they are going to call you next. Not even 5 seconds later we get a call. We are then lead to the bowling station. 10, 20, 30 mins into us bowling no bowling staff comes to ask if we'd like to order anything. We watch people after us having their order placed. Again we are completely ignored. My friend and I go to the staff and asked are we going to get any help? They say someone will be at our bowling area in a few. No one ever comes. It's getting late my kids are complaining that they're hungry. Frustrated, we go to the counter and ask to speak to a manager. A guy (the manager) helps us by offering to make it up to us. But in the mist of helping us, things keep falling through the cracks, things kept ending up missing. It's too much to say bc I don't want to sound like I'm complaining, but I am. There's needs to be better follow throughs here and the manager needs to hold individuals accountable for their poor conduct. We pay not just for the arcade games or bowling but the customer service. It was pretty busy when we got there. Probably the reason why the server took awhile to get to us. The snacks were good! I love the cheese bites and Long Island was pretty good too. I just noticed, some seats and tables were still greasy on our lane. We had to wipe it down ourselves just to be sure. Not everyone was wearing their mask but thankfully the people on both side of our lane were wearing theirs. Social distancing is not that strictly implemented. We had fun tho. So 4 out of 5. Went to the main event because I was in town for something else, bought the play all pass for $50 for 2 people. Started off by playing pool and ordering food, bartender forgot to make drinks had to ask for them 2 times which fine okay it happens. But then our bowling lane was ready so we stopped the pool game and went to bowl. The lane kept messing up and we had to get the workers to fix it 4/5 times we asked for a new one but they said that it was already reserved for other people. I then had to ask front desk for a server multiple times to order a simple drink, I ended up just walking across the store to order at the bar after the server was called 3 times and didn't show up. After the game completely stopped working we asked for a partial refund and were told that was not possible because "we played activities" and the manager was very condescending when he said this and told me they could only get it in a voucher but I told him that we do not live here so he offered to put it on an arcade game majority of the games were out of service or labeled "coming soon". If I would have known the bowling was not working ALL DAY per the worker I would have only purchased the pool game and arcade game and saved money. This is our second time coming and I love the concept, and so does my son. Both times, we came on a Monday, which is unlimited arcade play for $10 after 4:00PM Both times, I felt as if we did not get the whole experience. Almost of all my son's favorites were out of order in some shape or form (he is diagnosed with autism and cerebral palsy). The ski balls machine all lack the proper amount of balls, the basketball games were out of order, several of the arcade games were out of order also. Furthermore, there seem to only be one attendant in that area, and she was tied up assisting the people in lazer tag/climbling. Even with that being said, there were numerous other games to play, and though it was PACKED on our second visit (MLK, Jr holiday), there were plenty of opportunities to play without having to wait. For my family personally, I would love to see a homeschool day so that we dont have to wait until 4PM to play in the arcade for one price or a sensory friendly period. For the adults, there is a bar next to the snack areas, and plenty of TVs to watch sports and hide from your children...lol. There is also bowling, lazer tag, and foosball. When you go to a restaurant with a party of 40+ people and get a yeah we can make this work! Is a rare thing! The staff at main event went above and beyond to serve us after a sports tournament! We were welcome from the time we walked in the door to the time we left. Our wait time was short compared to the number of other places we have gone. We are so grateful for the team who allowed us to eat together in such a positive atmosphere! The food was delicious and they did an excellent job of getting it out to us quickly! By far the worst experience we have ever had. Waitress never asked us what we want/need to order even though she was visiting both lanes on either side of us. She would keep her back turned to us and never acknowledged us. When we finally asked someone for the 3rd time who our waitress was she came up and had a giant attitude. I went and spoke with manager and he said he'd send a different waitress over and no one ever came. Bar made out BIG on tips from us because they went above and beyond. Waitresses are TERRIBLE!!!! 12 stalls in the ladies room....only 1 was usable (with no TP). Trash in bathroom was OVERFLOWING ALL OVER THE FLOOR. Okay I've never had a problem with my parties here but this weekend was all wrong. For starters they didn't have my party booked and the lady who took my deposit entered the wrong food and suppose to change it. I had to show my contract as proof and then the host was always in my husband face like it was his birthday and not my child lol.. They brought the wrong food and when the right food came out it wasn't enough to feed everyone. They gave two more spaces for the childern to enjoy but we didn't get to do them they canceled them as the host found me to cash out. Comfortable seating with organized ball storage. A family friendly environment, perfect for taking kids between the ages of 5-16. Food and drink service are available at your lanes but it can be a bit slow considering the amount of people that are requesting items at the same time. Most times I have been it was only 1-2 people serving, which can be a lot to manage when there's about 15-20 lanes to service. Overall good experience. Lanes are alright and balls have a variety for weight and hand sizes. read more

Came here for an outing for our volunteers, to show appreciation for all the work they did in 2018. I will start by saying the deals here were great. We came in on a Saturday, didn't make prior reservations because we weren't sure on the exact number. When everyone got there we got in line and because the line was long there were people sprinkled throughout the line to answer any questions, which was great. This helped us know exactly what package to get before we even got to the front. We did the $19.95 activity package and added the bowling shoes. Everyone had a good time, but there were some things that were not very accommodating. We weren't told that we would be able to order food at the lanes. We were told to go order from the pizza area. We ordered 2 family pizzas and had to make sure we ordered extra drinks. (Each family order comes with 4 drinks). About 40 minutes later our bowling lane was ready, but we still didn't have our pizzas. After another 15 minutes we went to see what was going on. We saw one guy order and immediately get his pizza. They had forgotten about our order. They gave us our 2 pizzas and when we asked for plates they gave us to go boxes and said that's all they had. I appreciate having to go boxes is better than nothing, but the people in the lanes next to us ordered pizza and got plates. We ordered another pizza, this time from our lane. It was ready in about 10 minutes and the guy brought plates with the pizza. Not sure why we weren't given plates to begin with, especially because they clearly did have some. Overall, it was a good time, but probably won't do another group outing here. read more

OKAY, I know three months ago I had a horrible review about this place, but I was contacted by the manager Steve and he invited me back. We have been here for the past few hours, playing games and we just had a delicious burger! Yes the service was MUCH BETTER and the food arrived promptly! HORRIBLE SERVICE AND GAMES DON'T WORK I took my three kids to Main Event and was extremely disappointed. I purchased the all day activity pass thinking it would be worth it since the kids got access to all the attractions. I also bought a game card for the arcade. I put over 100 points on the card, and it didn't even last 15 minutes. Almost all the games were broken and stole points from the card. Compared to other arcades, the main event games charged an absurd amount of points to play a single game. Along with this, the staff was extremely unhelpful. When I complained to staff about things, they said they would fix it and then never returned or did anything. The staff just sits behind the counter and talks. We decided to do bowling and the bumpers would not turn on, so I asked a worker if they would assist us. This worker never returned, after I had asked him TWICE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. My kids won the jackpot on the only machine that would work, it said they won 1000 tickets. When we checked the ticket total on the card we had close to nothing. It's a scam the card didn't register any of the tickets they earned. read more

If you've ever been to Andretti's before then you'll know what I mean when I say that Main Event is basically Andretti's without the go-karts. It's a fun little spot that combines a lot of different activities into one spot: Bowling, Laser tag, Pool, Arcade games, and a ropes course. They've also got food options and a bar where you can get drinks. This time we went to play laser tag for a friend's birthday and it was relatively well priced. $10 for a game and the games lasts roughly 15 minutes. It's definitely a place where you can end up spending a lot of money if you're not careful, because everything is individually priced unless you buy the unlimited play pass. The bowling had at least a 2 hour wait so we didn't have a chance to do that. I would definitely recommend getting there earlier if you're wanting to bowl. Drinks from the bar aren't too expensive ($8 and up) but they aren't that heavy on the alcohol so they kind of taste like juice. The strawberry margarita is very very sweet. A good place for birthdays though, especially if you have kids! read more
