Visiting on the weekend is not enjoyable. They don't limit the number of people who can enter at a time and if they do I certainly can't tell. It's a madhouse. We did enjoy bowling on a weekday (today/Friday) around noon. We had space to ourselves and the waitress checked on us in a timely fashion. The pizza is decent but the boneless wings (chicken tenders) are not. I ordered lemon pepper and I was disappointed. They were hard and very dry. Many of the arcade games glitch, and even though they do refund your credits, who wants to stop every other game to go get a refund?? Also the hand sanitizer near the bathrooms hasn't been filled the last two times we visited. read more

I had fun with my sister but that's because we made the fun out of it. About half of the arcade games we played didn't work properly. We kept having to go back to the workers to put our points back for non functioning games. Basketball wasn't scoring correctly. Air hockey won't give you the puck back. Controllers not working properly. Bowling pins getting stuck a few times. It's a mess in there! All the workers were very nice (which is why I gave 2 star instead of 1) but it's frustrating to not be able to play and have things work like they should. And I don't know why they wouldn't shut off the games that aren't working so people don't waste their points on them. Honestly they need to close down and have proper maintenance done. Like have a day where the staff play everything to know what isn't working and fix it! read more

We came here for a fun time out with family as we were visiting from Las Vegas. We arrived , checked in, and were told the wait was 1.5hours because we wanted three lanes together. Fine. We killed time by getting food and exploring the area. The time elapsed and we were getting aimless so we checked the status, but were told that it would be an ADDITIONAL hour. This was not okay. We were okay with waiting 1.5 hours to get lanes together and bowl as a family but not 2.5 hours. We wish someone would've been transparent about the real wait upfront when we arrived so we didn't waste our time or money on mediocre food and mediocre drinks. There were no apologies made whatsoever by staff as to why we were told a different wait time or if something had gotten mixed up with our reservation. Also, I know this is geared more for children , but the bathrooms were kind of filthy tbh too. We would not be back. Save yourself the trouble and go around the corner or literally anywhere else. read more

Great fun. Lots to do-arcade, bowling, ropes course, laser tag. Expect to pay an arm & a leg, though. For two adults and two children we spent $160 and that was before we ordered food! The kids had a blast, though. The arcade has great vr games and they absolutely LOVED the laser tag but the ropes course was average. It wasn't overly crowded even with a couple of birthday parties going on, which is nice. Food was another $50. Average. To be expected for this type of place. This place I do not recommend. Service sucks. I ordered food they took it to another table the people there started eating it, pick up the food and brought it to my table! Can you believe that! Of course I told them to take it back. The alcoholic beverages are weak and over priced. The service sucks. They put things on you bill without asking you first! To add to my review, I went to close my tab at the bar, which was not busy so they new who I was, stood there while she waited on everyone else, finally I called her over to close the tab, she brought the bill, I put money down to pay for it and she never took it back! Again I had to call her over to collect the money and give me change. The crazy part was she took the money and brought back the money broken into smaller bills never took the money for the bill. We came for a birthday party on a Saturday afternoon. Of course it was super busy but the staff was attentive and helpful with the party the whole time. The kids enjoyed the games, ate pizza and then went bowling. The lanes did have some issues with the bar going down and not putting pins back up but we managed. It is super loud inside. The design of the place is not good. They should have seperated the game area better from everything else to help with the noise. I would recommend going early on the weekends or during the week. read more

I was at Main Event for a child's birthday party. The restroom sinks are dangerous - do not bring children to this location. The water is scalding hot. I spoke to a manager named David who said the water must be that hot due to "health regulations", so they know about the issue and are ignoring it. Went for a company event here. And things are fine, it wasn't gross or disgusting, the food was decent. But nothing really sets this place apart from other similar places. However, the bowling lanes were as dry as the sahara. I'm not a professional bowler by any means, but most places I know about how much the ball hooks when I throw it. Using the exact same type of throw that I use everywhere else, the ball would hook about halfway down the lane. And I mean it took a sharp turn hook. Essentially no matter what I did (besides throw straight) the ball would hook and end up in the gutter. read more

My kid loves it so we go and have a good time. The food is ok. The games are a little high, but I have noticed they put new games up. They have a new VR game...$5 for each person. They have and area for "wipes" to clean it, but they were gone and it was definitely unsanitary and I couldn't help to think people could get an eye infection or nasty germs. The food is ok. This is a review about my experience as a guest at a corporate event, not the everyday customer. I hope this review would help those event planners to have a successful event. I was lucky to be invited to a company party last year at Main Event in Katy. We arrived around 9 am. Of course, there were parking, plenty of room to roam around and all the luxury that standard paying customers didn't have. The meeting rooms were enclosed with sound-proof glass walls. But the music was still loud. The presenter had to talk louder and it was very distracting. They couldn't lower the volume because other parties were occupying the video game area. (Note to party planner: make sure a loud speaker is handy.) Now let's talk about the food. Their dishes had fancy names on the menu. But they can't compete with the movie theaters or amusement parks. I identify myself as a picky eater with dietary restriction. I sampled the food and smiled at the buffet line. I wish I could just buy my own food at the concession stand. But noooo, there wasn't anyone staffing it. (Note to party planner: prepare for your plan B.) One cool thing was the endless soda fountain - all you can drink is a must in this Texas heat. You have to keep the cup with you and don't let bus people take it away. I think you need an armband for the privilege. Oh, one more cool thing was the interactive projection floor in front to bathroom area. Just like any other amusement center, you earn tickets and redeem prizes. Nothing to brag about the games and bowling. But the laser tag game sure was a great way for team building. My only grumble was the challenge to enjoy ourselves with elementary schoolers running around. (Note to party planner: ask your sales if other parties are booked with grownups or youngsters.) To get away from all the craziness, there is a sports bar and an outdoor seating area by the entrance. Overall, the staff was very helpful as they were at major theme parks. Played laser tag 3 different times. My laser gun did not work any of the 3 times. Some of the guns of the people that I was with did not work either. The lady that worked there said that most of the guns there do not work and are not being fixed. I ate dinner there also and we all had pizza. Later in the night, my son and I both were sick and had food poisoning. The pizza is the only same thing we had for the day. None of us will ever go back there again. read more

My wife and I came here twice in one week. The first time we just wanted to play video games so we got a card to share and played for about an hour or so. Sharing a card worked okay, but there are time limits on how often you can swipe and it would have been better to buy two cards. But the kid at the counter recommended sharing a card and we tried it. But just pay for 2, it's easier for two-player games. The second time we went bowling. Bowling was easy and priced per lane per hour. We bowled 3 games in one hour and were done after that. Had a fun time, the balls were clean the lanes were in great shape too. We didn't mess with any food but there was lots to choose from. The air hockey and shuffleboard tables were fun too. We enjoyed feeling like kids and playing games here. If we had one nearby we'd come more often. read more

We celebrated my niece's birthday and my nephew who is autistic has only a short list of safety foods. None of them were on Main Event's menu. She accumulated points but not enough for the toy she wanted so I asked if we could pay the difference. They don't do that! Try explaining that to a child. Better off at Chuck E. Be careful when eating at the restaurant inside Main Event. We were there today and didn't play a Kiosk game but was still charged for it. The manager fixed the error which is good, but think how many people just pay and sign. Double check your tickets always. Bowling is expensive compared to other places, there's free lanes but still for some reason a waiting list. The bar drinks are watered down, the food is good and service was great. Mostly a kids spot unless you reserve a lane or just shoot pool. read more

Do not have a birthday party here! My son had his 7th birthday party here, and our experience was nothing short of awful. First, when we got there, our host wasn't even there yet. They told us to wait at the party table, which we did for an extended period with nobody stopping to check on us. Bowling started late, our table was ready late. Drinks took forever, so much so that kids were whining they were thirsty. When we got to the table, only half of our pizzas were ready. By the time kids were done, our host was nowhere to be found. We did the cake ourselves until the host came back and said she'd take it from there. Disappeared again to get more plates, which we had some, and so half the kids were left waiting for cake. I ended up serving even more myself. Then parents were getting ready to leave because they thought it was over while we were waiting to receive our game cards. We finally get them and half of their games are broken. Oh, but they'll take the credits off your card before letting you know they're broken. So the kids got to do MAYBE 1/3 of the games they tried. We were told they do no refunds but they could give us a free night of bowling. We spent hundreds of dollars on this party, and even if I'd paid $10, it wouldn't have been worth it. read more

Where to start, anything that could have gone wrong, did. 45 minute to set up the lane and get shoes, food delayed, we were forgot about, booted off the lane, and didn't have an assigned hostess. But.... After addressing it, the staff really did everything to make us feel like we picked the right place for a party. Ask for Jimmy to be your Alcohol sever, and Key is a phenomenal manager. I was impressed with the way they turned around the negative experience. I definitely recommend bringing the kiddos here for a birthday party. This establishment is very unreasonable with Covid protocols. I received a letter in the mail from the Texas DPS stating that I had until April 14, 2021 to renew my license. They refused to serve me a beer. I'm in my mid 30's with my two kids in tow during Spring Break. I think this year has been difficult enough knowing procedures and standards. Why not adhere to what the State of Texas sets forth?! I even talked to the manager. My mother-in-law tried to order a beer and the server told her, "I just need to confirm that YOU are the one drinking the beer." So embarrassing and ridiculous!!! Birthday party ripoff. We paid over $350 for a bday party for my son and have never had worse customer service in my life. We arrived at 330 as we were told to begin our 3hour party gamer themed. After 30min of me asking her if we had a table she finally understood I was trying to sit at a table not just asking for fun. And then 40min later while everyone was in middle of eating we were told they needed us to get up from the table some hadn't even had their first bite of food. They did decide to let us stay after arguing since no one was even coming up behind us. Our server had no function whatsoever. She told me to get my own drinks and pointed behind the bar area when I asked for drinks, later I saw her carrying pitchers of drinks to someone else so I'm sure why she couldn't do that for us especially considering how much I was paying. When I tried to order food from our hostess I was told go to the bar and do it yourself. My jaw literally dropped I was paying $350 dollars for a teenager to tell me basically everything I asked for wasn't in her job description. I saw other party hostess cutting cake for their tables obviously that was too much to ask for our server. When we went to cash out the tickets we were told party tickets don't count. I'm sure it was written in the contract somewhere but just another disappointment to a complete failure of a party. When we went to leave an hour before our time was up I noticed our cake and balloons were gone. I paid for helium balloons from party city and a cake and the only thing our server managed to clean the whole time was our cake and balloons to the trash. When you look at the party package add on you will notice the insane rate t they charge for balloons so why they feel they could throw it out an hour before the party ends without asking I'll never know. The cake and balloons were the only decent thing there and they tossed it. Normally I tip 20% almost no matter what not this time. Luckily for the server main Event adds a service charge to your bill so no matter how terrible of a job they do she still gets something. All of our guests were in shock over the complete lack of service. And obviously the cups the kids were supposed to get to take home trashed. Our party was the last on a Sunday night there was no one coming up behind us so why throw everything away. If it was that big of a deal I would have put my balloons cake cups and yes birthday cards in my car. One of the guests had put $20in a card for my son but unfortunately presents also get thrown away. About $50 of food we weren't finished with also thrown out. We had already bussed our own table so I don't understand how she got confused I had clearly separated trash from non trash. We done celebration station, chucks e cheeses, and numerous other places party this had the newest and best equipment by far but somehow managed to make this the worse party ever. At the very least they could have apologized and refunded the cake balloons and bday gift they threw away but not them. I will be telling everyone I know no matter what you do don't throw a party here. At the end of the day we left early brought my son home and gave him some cake and balloons people wouldn't throw away. read more

Attended a nieces birthday party this weekend and this was my second time visiting in the past ten years - had a great time ! The servers were so attentive and had great attitudes - which is so rare these days I ordered a Cobb salad for lunch - not the best but was not expecting a five star quality experience considering it is a fun , low key establishment ... Overall, I would vote this as a great alternative to Chuckle Cheese as there are great options for kids of all ages, as well as entertainment for the adults. A win-win! read more

Visited on NY's Day 2023 with a few coworkers and their children. It was eight of us total. Surprisingly it wasn't nearly as packed as we all thought that it would be, but you couldn't really tell that with the service from the bar. One of my colleagues attempted to pay for her drink with a $20 bill and for some reason the cashier was having trouble giving her change (something about not having the correct key for the register). I'm not sure how long she had been waiting before I arrived, but she soon just asked for her cash to be returned and paid with a card. I then ordered a drink (a house margarita) and it took about 10 minutes to have it prepared, but there were only three people at the bar (literally myself and my coworkers) and two bartenders. When I received the drink, it literally just tasted like margarita mix and nothing else (not a splash of tequila to be found). When we all sat down to eat, the waitress only got orders for approximately half the table before she disappeared for 5 to 10 minutes. Not sure what happened there. Thankfully the food was pretty good and the kids had plenty of fun at the arcade. I will say... there are arcade games and activities so not compare to the Tomball location. read more

We held both of our sons' birthday parties at Main Event, and the service, food, and amenities were amazing. Jacob was our host, and he made the party very easy for us as parents and fun for the kids. We never wanted for anything as he was completely on top of it all. This is by far the worst lane I have ever bowled on in my life. I am new to the area and like to go bowling by myself. Bought an hour for $25, fine by me. I am a two handed bowler who spins. I'm not new to this. I average around 200 with any type of house ball. This one sent every single ball I threw completely left, no matter where I aimed or how hard I threw it. Even went to throwing it straight, still would curve left into the gutter. Throwing it literally 100 mph on the most right part of the lane and still curves out of sight. Most impossible lane ever. Will never be coming back. Thanks for wasting my time, even tho I only played half a game b4 leaving. read more

This Main Event location will keep your family busy for hours! During the summer they offer a summer FUNpass for $19.00 per person which includes all-day Bowling, Laser Tag and Billiards. To get the most bang for your buck you have to take advantage of these type of deals otherwise your visit will be a very expensive one. Those looking for some arcade fun will not be disappointed as there are several cool machines available as well. There's a pizza parlor inside, but if you want to save money, I would advise stepping outside and grabbing a bite from any of the surrounding restaurants. Facility gets a 4 for appearance and decor COVID PRECAUTIONS GET A 1 My sons bday was here this past weekend. I would like for a General Manager to contact me. This whole party reservation was misguided from the beginning up until I arrived. I couldn't cancel before the party as all other venues were booked! I was advised I could decorate a "room" before the party. Three days before I was told by another party planner there was no room without a fee when I asked for clarification! Nowhere in the contract does it state no room. Every other venue gives you a room. How was I supposed to know there was no room. The contract does not state no table until an hour after arrival. That is insane! Even Chucke Cheese has a table upon arrival. We showed up 45 min early to decorate a table in an area that was open and no COVID precautions and NO TABLE. I was completely floored, enraged, and felt like my money was totally wasted! I was told I would not get my deposit back if I canceled. I could only use half the decorations I purchased and my party had kids under 12 so masks were required because we were not in a room. People were touching my kids decorations hitting our chairs standing in our space. The manager did the best he could by providing $5 game cards on top of the 3 hour play I had already purchased but those cards were pointless as the wait to play a game was about 30 minutes! read more

Absolutely AWESOME time! The staf and facility are top-notch. I can't say enough about Dallas (manager) and his wonderful staff. He welcomed us gave a quick introduction to the facility and from there every staff member I/we encountered were helpful and extremely pleasant! I am a fan of this location for life now!
