This rating is solely for the restaurant portion of Main Event. I don't even know where to start. It took (what felt like forever) to get a waiter to come to our table, we had to continually get up and go search for him each time we needed something. The pizza was doughy, ordered a small garden salad but was brought and charged for the large salad. Our waiter continued to disappear and just acted like he was in la la land. Came in for a media event and had a phenomenal experience. +Ambience: The vibe is very much similar to any other bar/arcade/bowling spot with a colorful arcade and loungey bowling alley. However, it's location in Pointe Orlando makes the environment more refined (though you will have to pay for parking). The one new experience I enjoyed was the Virtual Reality zombie game which I would recommend to any group. It's definitely an immersive experience that makes you feel like you're living in the future. +Food: The food is meant for sharing, as we were never served a full blown meal. Having that said, there's a good variety of shareable plates, from sweet doughnut bites to classy caprese skewers. There's something for everyone in your party. Though none of the dishes were orgasmic, they still tasted great, especially accompanied by a mojito! +Service: I came in for a media event, so I could expect the service to be A+. However, I know that this type of service isn't unusual because being on I-Drive, the establishment has to be rooted in hospitality. The food came in a timely fashion, the waiters and waitresses were very tentative, and I was even given a replacement game card rather quickly when I found mine to be defunct. There's just too much going on here. I understand they want a multi-entertainment complex throw down one stop shop attraction.. but honestly, it's too much and overwhelming. Also, when you throw in so many different things into one and not really specialize, they tend to be more subpar. If you want bowling, go to King's. If you want games, go to Dave n Busters. I'd say pick one idea for a date night and stick with it. If you're planning to do everything in one day, I guess you could stop here. The food was subpar. I had the southwest burger that really was just a normal burger with tomato, lettuce, and onion + guacamole and jalapeño peppers thrown on. Cooked well done and when asked if it could be medium, I was told the kitchen was too busy to do that. When they say well done.. they mean overly well done. I didn't bother to finish my burger.. and I'm a bigger guy and eat everything! Our server was okay but not at the same time. She responded to us flagging her down, which is fine since we are and bowled.. but she disappeared towards our last 30 minutes bowling and it tools 20 minutes to get the check. 2 other servers denied bringing us the check and said our server had to be the one to do it. One of the latest additions to I-Drive, and the newest tenant at Pointe Orlando, Main Event features a variety of activities including bowling, billiards, a ropes course, arcade games, two restaurants, and the only V-Play Virtual Reality center in the United States. On the night we attended, the center was running a promotion where for $25 a person, you received unlimited use of the Bowling Alleys, Billiard Tables and Ropes Course from 5 PM until close, including shoe rental. We opted for this package, as bowling on its own was $45 for an hour for two. A few dollars more got us all the time we wanted plus the added bonus of the pool tables and ropes course. The bowling alleys were some of the nicest I've used in Orlando, and feature a new state-of-the-art tech packages which adds new exciting game modes in addition to your classic bowling, as well as a unique selfie mode where you and your party can put your faces into the goofy animations you've come to know and love when bowling. While at Main Event, we also decided to participate in their V-Play experience, which ran around $25 per person for a 12 minute virtual reality game. While a bit on the expensive side, the VR was some of the best I've ever done. They offer two different games to pick from, and we opted to do the Engineerium experience, an adventure game which sends you walking on walls, and exploring through a city in the clouds to solve different platform puzzles with your team. The center also has a Zombie Survival game where equipped with a multi-functional gun, you work with your team to fight off hordes of zombies. To any Call of Duty fans out there, think of this like the super popular Zombies mode, but in an incredibly immersive, 360 degree environment. The food wasn't anything special, but was a step above standard bowling alley fare. I ordered the Fish & Chips, and while the fish and French Fries were both well cooked & crispy, the fish batter lacked any real flavor, and left a strange paste like feeling in the mouth. My wife had the Cobb Salad and seemed to enjoy it, although she did mention that she wish it had more chicken, as the portion provided was fairly small for the size of the dish. Although the arcade game selection isn't anywhere close to the size of Dave & Busters down the road, the machines Main Event did have were all very well maintained and cleaned, and appeared in much better shape than the ones at Dave & Busters. Another plus was the games at Main Event are all priced with their dollar amount rather than the semi-confusing and misleading point/credit system used at Dave & Busters. The ropes course was small, but included some fun challenges such as the tight ropes. Since Artegon is now closed, and Sky Zone is currently no more, this is the only ropes course left in the area. Service was friendly and attentive, and staff was always available to assist with any of our needs. The night we went it was a bit slower, so staff to guest ratio was very high, but even on a busy night, it would be more than enough to employees to handle the crowds. While I enjoyed my experience as a whole, due to the higher cost of the center, and the numerous other things to do in Orlando, I wouldn't go out of my way to return. read more

This place has everything you would want in an arcade:pool table, games, bowling, laser tag, and even an obstacle course. Don't forget food and drinks. Seems nice for private parties. Unfortunately the kids couldn't participate in the obstacle course due to staff shortage. The food was great and our server was attentive. If I can give it less than a one star I would have but I cant for the sake of this review. This place was horrible to dine in with a whopping 1+ wait for the food without being busy for very low quality food. I got my loaded fries on 45mins+ on top of the hour we waited just to be the wrong order and everyone was finish eating. The server did not know what she was doing and did not clean our table right with pizzas/Straws on the floor. She even left her cleaning products with the rag on the seat next to me. The Games are expensive and I starved the whole night. I rather get eat at a 7-11, I would never recommend this place even to my enemies. EDIT* Forgot to add that the manager was also rude. The idea of having everything in a one stop shop was ideal to celebrate a birthday. However, we were wrong. One you pay per the hour and the lanes constantly freeze. The manager did compensate us with some free game time. So, we finished what we had left once they were able to fix our lane. The server that was tending to our table was slow. So we went to the bar to order our bucket of beer. She then charged us for a bucket that she knew she didn't being, and immediately stated she'll just get her manager. The manager never came and she ended up just removing the extra bucket she charged us. The "manager" then later just stood there to watch us as we grabbed our things. I love this place ! It reminds me of a Dave Busters but smaller with a bowling alley, and obstacles course which isn't currently running due to Covid. You have the option to get a game card with 1-2 hrs of play time and earn no tickets or purchase the one that has credits to earn tickets. Which I personally preferred the unlimited game time cause the prizes always suck for the amount of tickets you'll earn. Where to start? Where to start! Um... THE FOOD! Those tacos were something else! What made them so good was the sneaky KICK of the BBQ sauce! But my absolutely favorite, minus the tacos, was the Cali Chicken Sandwhich (sammich in my world). It was delicious! Wow! And the fun stuff to do! 20 ft. tall ropes/harness/scared to death course? I really enjoyed this place! It has a bar which is a little pricey but you can't go wrong with a pitcher of beer to split between friends and family. The environment wasn't too crowded but I do recommend going during the week to avoid huge crowds of people. The food is decent but of course this is a bowling alley.. if you are looking for a clean place to bowl with a nice atmosphere I recommend this one. They have a lot of lanes so you can get right in and start playing. They usually have deals going on so you can pay half the amount they usually charge so I'd check the website to see what deals they have. Visited this location while exploring Florida. It was a nice little arcade; nothing spectacular. We spent around $100 on tokens which got us 600 tokens. The unfortunate part was that the majority of the arcade games cost 7.5 tokens so we blew through the tokens in less than an hour. The arcade was small in comparison to others we had visited causing us to play some arcades more than once. They also offer bowling in that establishment. Yesterday night, I selected this place with my Wife, to bring my cousin and daughters to play and have a fun night; yes!!! The night start on the wrong foot when we arrive, after purchase $111 in arcade tickets we decide to eat some food, we got seated and the waiter started to get the order from my cousin and us, we are 50+ years old she ask for ID for ordering beers and my cousin who was visiting us from Ecuador left the Passport in my car, the waitress said no ID no alcohol, I got upset but understood her point, I walked to the parking lot and grabbed the passport, that took me 20 min, when I came back and showed the passport she said its not a valid identification with some sarcasm because can be counterfeit, I said What!!!!! Well, that pissed me off and i requested the manager, a young Lady approach and said it wasn't a valid identification, with some attitude; I told myself it's time to leave, I requested a refund for the arcade. Tickets of $111 and she respond that is something she can't do, and she call another guy, who ask me what's happening and he said he can't do anything; to make the story short , a sheriff was walking around the tables, Because the managers called him while I was complaining; Ive worked many years in the restaurant industry, and never as a restaurant manager have I had a situation like this with my customers, it's international Drive the center of tourism, they are in the most empty shopping center in the area where business open and Close because of lack of business, and they treat customers with sarcasm and attitude and lack of management skills!!! We hosted an adult birthday party at Main Event and had a wonderful experience. We hosted 18 people through one of their catering specials. They took us to the far left of the building in a quieter, more private bowling alley for adults and had the pizza buffet and drinks all laid out. The design was very modern and clean. We bowled for two hours, ate and relaxed. It was also Superbowl Sunday, so they had the game playing on every single TV. After, we did an hour of arcade play time add on. The Main Event team ended giving us two hours for the price of one, which we really appreciated. It was the perfect mix of play. The team also took into consideration one gluten free/celiac diner with a gluten free pizza set aside. It was very, very good and a surprise for gluten free. We were very grateful they remembered this. They took great care of our party and our guests were very impressed. We definitely will be back and taking advantage of this special again! read more

Okay, so 3 stars is the best I can give for a few reasons - I was invited to a birthday dinner at this location and when I walked in no one at the front was able to help me when I was looking for the group. They either ignored me or when I did ask they would say that the person who knows where everyone's table assignments were just couldn't answer. 15 min later after walking around I found the group, but then I ordered the Loaded Nachos and I was so disappointed. There were a million chips with very little toppings. They just weren't good. My last critique was when I went to leave I asked for a parking voucher and I had to go through 3 people before getting one. They either didn't know where they were or ran out (although there was a huge stack that I saw and was waiting for someone to recognize). Tried to arrest my husband and 13yr daughter! We came in to go bowling my husband and kids 13yr and 5yr. Just had dinner at Rodizio Brazil steakhouse. Our first time here. We had some issues with the bumpers on the lane but overall were having a good time (dirty tables but it was later in the evening). They have Menus on the table servers in pink but she never came over to us. My 5yr was thirsty so I asked the server how to get water, she said the kitchen stops serving but there's a machine by the pizza stand (which is closed). I went to the stand but no cups. I grabbed some tiny paper ice cream bowls off the icee counter and poured some water. All the while the server is watching me walk back and standing at her station. Kids drank water fast and we were pretty upset that the employees didn't seem to care for us. My husband went back thinking how thoughtless are these employees. He found some cups behind the counter and gave them to my daughter who went back grabbed 3 waters and a soda for her dad. The server came over to our lane and asked my daughter where we obtained our cups. We again told her that we asked for help. I didn't mean for my daughter to get soda. The server and manager called the police! When the Officer arrived and approached us he explained that this was a felony and that both my husband and daughter could be arrested but that they would instead allow us to leave. He also said we had done a horrible job raising our kids. I'm sorry I asked to buy water any water but was told to get it myself. Water is not accessible here. I had seen that Yelp had hosted an event here not long ago and so my friends and I decided to meet here for bowling. But this place is a little more than bowling, it's an arcade, restaurant, ropes course and virtual reality course. It sounds great but it's actually too much in too small of a space for too much money. It's far more expensive than other entertainment complexes in the area and everything is so cramped together. You're only getting small tastes and not enough attention is given. They try to make the bowling area fun by playing music videos at the ends of the lane. The problem is the acoustics are so bad that you can't hear any of the music. Then they make it so you can take pictures of yourselves to see who bowls next and then it does little videos with the pictures. It was cute at first but then it got old and took too long to get to the next bowler. The space to bowl is so small that two people can't be standing up at the same time because there's no room to move around them. We had to coordinate with the party next to us with who was getting up next and coordinate with each other on sliding out of the booth. Now add food and drinks into the mix. Our server was pleasant at first but not attentive at all. She never came to check on drinks and we could never find her. When she did show up we were all requesting refills. I tried a mixed drink called Tennessee Honey Smash with whiskey, lemon lime soda and mint leaves. I basically received a watered down soda. It was horrible and I ended up switching to beer cause you can't screw that up. For dinner, I ordered chicken quesadillas which comes with cute small mason jars of salsa and ranch dressing. The quesadillas were loaded with more onions than cheese and chicken, I ate maybe two out of the four. And there was nothing to sanitize your hands between eating and picking up a ball that everyone in the lane was sharing. Pretty gross. When it came time to pay the bill, we couldn't find our server. We asked other servers who were in a group talking but they all said we had to wait for our specific server but no one went to find her. We waited twenty minutes past our bowling time for her. The cramped space, acoustics, water down drinks and sloppy service really turned me off here especially for the amount of money our party of 4 spent. This place has the potential to be really cool. We have been here twice and have been disappointed each time. Mostly I am referring to the restaurant part... but this place is a bowling alley, ritual reality, ropes course, arcade, and restaurant all rolled into one. It is an enormous space, and everything is bright and new and shiny. Games, minimum cost $1.50. Your hard earned money doesn't go to far in the arcade. My husband and his two friends played virtual reality zombies. They said it was awesome but when he told me it was $25 EACH for VR I almost died. Now let me move onto our lunch review. We sat down around 2pm and there was one other party in the restaurant that I could see, and one waitress working.... the other table had sat just before us so we waited for awhile before we were even acknowledged- Someone did come by our table and let us know the only other customers in the restaurant had just been seated as well, so it was going to be a few minutes.... The waitress left the other table and came over to ours - and while she introduced herself and took our drink and our meal order - all before putting in or getting the other tables drinks... now I felt bad because they flagged someone down because they were waiting quite some time now too.... So now it has been over 20 minutes and we still don't have our drinks - Just an FYI they don't have milk for children here. Fast forward to them bringing our meal, everyone's meal was delivered- they brought everyone's meal except mine - and the waitress didn't even acknowledge that mine wasn't there - I'm generally pretty patient and Just assumed she'd be right back with it - she came back to the table a minute or two later, and asked if she could get us anything else - my husband was like, yeah, my wife's meal: she seemed puzzled and asked what I ordered - Then she came back a couple minutes later and said they had to "remake" it - Finally, they brought my salad and literally everyone else had finished their meals by this time except my two year old (she takes forever to eat). Then, I noticed my salad was lacking 3 ingredients listed on the menu (it was a Cobb salad) and the menu read they it had avocados and croutons and crispy onions. My daughters kids meal also was supposed to come with a fruit cup, but they were all out. In the meantime I notice two other parties have come to eat and have waited a significant amount of time for service, and the party that had seated just before us was complaining to our server and the manager. They did comp my salad. I wasn't complaining to get free food... for the prices they charge you expect more. Our bill for six people (one kids meal), minus my salad, and one of us only had a side said because he was on a diet, and two beers.... was $94 before tip. My husband had a burger, my son had a pizza, and our friend had the mac and cheese skillet which left a lot to be desired. which, while I'm at this, I should note they had "Sam Seasonal" on tap but our server was unaware what they had, and I felt like I clearly ordered a "big one" and was brought the smaller size. I'm very disappointed with our experience here - and although the atmosphere is fun - I think they just have too much going on. The staff here is very friendly and our waitress was very apologetic and said she wished she could do better for us.... and I imagine it takes some time to work out all the kinks in a place as large as this. By far the best place I have fun in Orlando but poorly manage. DO NOT SIT BY THE POOL AREA. It feels like no server wants to take that area. Terrible service. Very understaffed on a Friday night. Great ambiance but very upset no one came to tell us that there was no service. Kimmy was great at the bar... she apologized a few times for the inconvenient. I work in the hospitality industry as well... what is the point on putting menus on a table that doesn't have a designated server... That's no using common sense. I really like this place. We come here often and have mastered a few of the games. They validate your parking if you show a Florida residence ID and a receipt showing you spent $25 on games. My only compliant is that the staff isn't friendly. A staff member gestured me to the counter so I went up. Right when I went up, another employee handed her chocolates and they both completely ignored me and started to talk about the chocolates... it was strange. I just waited till they finished talking then proceeded to purchase game play. All of the staff are teenagers that seem very unhappy to help and to be working. read more

Really cool spot out at Pointe Orlando. They offer arcade games, bowling, air hockey, virtual reality (like you've never experienced), zip line/ropes course. It's such a neat place! They also have a full kitchen with delicious food as well as a full bar that has a variety of drinks to choose from, including a good craft beer selection! The virtual reality is the coolest thing I've done. Definitely my favorite thing at Main Event and I'm looking forward to going a second time to try one of the other ones offered. You're dressed with a backpack, helmet, goggles and headphones. The equipment is a little heavy, but you forget about it once you're in the alternate reality. You're taken into this dark room where you can't see a thing. Your goggles turn on and you're prompted to step into a box so the game can detect you. Then once everyone is set up, you're transported to this world. You feel as though you're actually there, you can hear the other people you're playing with via headphones and a microphone. You can also see them (in cartoon-like form), the one we did we looked like people in a tribe with headdresses on, grass skirts and face paint. The goal was to find an orb and all stand around it, which would take us to a new level and new pathways would appear to walk on. At times these pathways would be going downhill, uphill, sideways. You literally felt like you were walking down, up and on your side where at times you felt like you were losing your balance, even though you're on perfectly even ground. I had to lift my goggles just to regain my footing and remind myself that I wasn't actually upside down or going downhill. There were also little cracks in the flooring that you saw and I felt myself trying to step over them even though I knew they weren't actually there. Something I think would be an awesome addition is a TV out in the waiting area that shows the people inside playing. It would be hysterical to watch. The arcade games were so much fun! The classics are my favorite including air hockey, basketball, ski ball and the car and motorcycle racing games where you can compete against each other. I didn't get to try the bowling while I was there, but it had some neat features to it, unlike any other bowling I've seen so that's definitely on the to-do list next time! read more

I had really high hopes for this place as a new destination for varied entertainment and a place to have fun with the kids. It didn't meet those expectations and left a little to be desired in how this place is run and things are communicated. To start, I was there with my girlfriend and our combined 4 kids. We got the all day pass which allowed us to bowl, shuffleboard, the sky ropes, and something else that I dont' quite remember because we didnt' take advantage of it because of my frustration level. For all day, it's $24.95 and until 5, it's $18.95 (spring rates). We arrived around 1. We figured we'd go this route to spend an afternoon. Bowling was first. Shoes are not included and the rentals were $4+ per person. That's kinda pricey when you compare to every place else in Orlando just about. OK, we paid $168 for all of that with the 'til 5pm pricing (yep, you read that right). Bowling was ok. Setup with 6 people took forever. Mind you, the kids got a kick out of the animations with their faces, but this got old after a while and actually, works against you. See, when we signed up and paid, they never told us that although bowling was unlimited during that time, that you need to request how long in hour blocks you will be playing. Between bathroom breaks and phone calls and the kids taking forever to order drinks (just drinks, not food mind you which never arrived during this hour block), our time ended during our 10th frame and we never got to finish our game. This was dissappointing because while they could restart the timer, there was no way to recall our game to finish. Food FINALLY arrived after the game was over, so we started a new game to have something to do while we ate (just shared appetizers no less). On to the Sky Ropes. The kids wanted to do them after they bowled. So they went over (around 2:30 pm) and they were told the next session wasn't until 3:40. That was ridiculous. We ended up filling the time by playing pool and shuffleboard. It was just frustrating that we had to plan our entertainment around scheduled availability. Finally, unlike the movie theater, they don't validate parking, so while they advertise all day play, you need to factor in anywhere from $8 and up in addition to what you're spending there. I'm not a cheapskate by any means seeing how I spent around $250 there for the afternoon, but come on. If you advertise that you basically want people to spend their whole day, at least comp the parking. I spoke to some of the staff about the issues we faced, and they were basically indifferent to my concerns. All I want if for the staff to be properly trained and fully explain how the bowling is timed. How the Sky Ropes is scheduled. Mention no parking validation. Basic information up front would at least set expectations and let people decide if they still want to visit and play. Needless to say, I doubt I'll be coming back. read more

My daughter and I went here for some dessert and game play. Seating was"open," and we were never acknowledged. After about 10 minutes and 2 servers passing us over, we went to just go play the Ghostbusters game my child was eyeballing. All the games were at least $1.50 and there is an ok assortment. Tickets all go to the card, so that's nice. We spied the "Gelato" and snack stand and trotted on over after spending our $10. Once again we waited.... we waved at the camera and shouted and finally gave up and went to spend our tickets. I asked the 4 kids standing behind the counter if anyone was over at the snack stand and informed that they were really only opened on Friday night's. Unimpressed. read more

The most disgusting food I have ever had is from this place. Dan the bartender gave me a smerky look when I told him this food is awful. The soda taste like it lacks carbonation. The fries were greasy and paper tasting. The burger itself was under cooked the food smelled awful!! I will never eat here again. Do not eat here!!! Ever!!!! There's better places in Orlando!!!
