Sushi-forward pan-Asian eatery right in the center of town on Main Street. Decent atmosphere (more…read morebistro yearnings than a "joint"), friendly service, and just-okay food if not getting sushi. First visit in a few years: -- Salt and Pepper Wings: Small, fried, seasoned, and unsauced, with jalapeños and such for assistance. Decent tenderness and moistness, but light on flavor without the jalapeño and a little bland despite the name. -- General Tso Wings: One fewer wing, but much larger ones, with a sweet, thick sauce, good crunch, and decent moisture underneath. No heat to counter the sweet, but that's the case for most General Gao or Tso these days. Still very solid. -- Teriyaki Salmon: Lunch special with choice of salad or soup, choice of Rangoons or gyoza, and choice of white or fried rice. The salmon itself was sensible of size, but dry inside and topped with a gloppy sweet sauce that helped the dryness but not the cause. The gyoza were small and most likely frozen. Overall, seems like going to an Olive Garden that happens to be serving Asian cuisine. I've been a few times before, with similar thoughts (and half the coworkers I've gone with agree, and half love it). Pleasant enough, and easy street parking, but I don't see myself rushing back. Maybe sushi is the way to go.

We visited Karma in Westford with a 7:00 PM reservation. The rest of our group arrived promptly at 7:00 PM, but we still weren't seated until 7:18 PM. The food was decent overall, though a bit saltier than I prefer. We ordered the Salmon Bake Roll, Hipster Roll, Crazy Roll, Coffee-Rubbed Salmon, Pineapple Fried Rice, and Mongolian Beef. Everything was good, but nothing really stood out as memorable. One thing that surprised me was that the meat entrees didn't come with white rice. I think it should be included rather than ordered separately. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance, although it can get loud enough to make conversations difficult at times. There were also moments when it felt almost too quiet. Some soft background music would help fill the silence and create a warmer, more inviting atmosphere. I still prefer the ambiance and service at the Burlington location.

Absolutely delicious. I would get this again. The flavors blend so well together and it's presented so beautifully -Crab Rangoon: (6) for $11. Plenty of crab in these! Crispy outside with an amazing cream cheese crab filling inside. I can't wait to try other dishes. The worker was at the door ready to give me my takeout order as I was walking in. A+++ service!

Mixed bag with highs and lows. -- Hot and Sour Soup (on a lunch combo): Pleasing rendition, with many mushroom types, a just-thick-enough broth, and some mini bits of red pepper in addition to liquid heat. Above average. -- Magnolia Special Chicken Wings: Big plate of wings in a dark sauce combining sweet, heat, and a bit of sour, but not to be mistaken for sweet and sour. Outside, not much crispness. Inside, not much tenderness, and barely moist (forget juicy), but nice marinade flavor deep down. Above average to well above average, but previously elite. -- Pork Egg Foo Yong (on a lunch combo): Two naked patties/omelettes with thick brown gravy on the side. Exterior not crisp, but firm. Interior perfectly tender with a profusion of large chunked onions and tasty pork, and fairly fresh pork at that. Good flavor to the gravy-- served as a big bowl with no monkey dish or spoon. Near-elite. -- Pork Fried Rice (on a lunch combo): Fresh and nice texture but subtle of flavor and not old school style. Decent amount of pork. Rice-a-Roni flavor. Average to slightly above. (Yes, maybe slightly above. Rice-a-Roni has its place.) -- Chicken Fingers (on a lunch combo): Standard issue with the usual low meat-to-batter ratio. Nothing noteworthy on the positive or negative side. Average. Servicewise, I felt ignored the entire meal. Had to grab my own napkins off another table. Hoped for a chance at a water refill that came too late. Long wait for the check. Nothing rude, but not present, alert, or efficient.

The other day I tried a longstanding Chinese food staple in Leominster. I did not enjoy it at all…read more I decided to try this place but I'm keeping my expectations extremely low to avoid being upset. This place is located smack dab in the very busy intersection of Main Street and Prospect street which is right next to Main Street + Nashua Street + Hamilton Street intersection. It gets really busy and I don't enjoy driving here. If you make it to the lot, it's large and spacious and you should have zero problems finding a spot. The interior is minimal, similar to other Chinese food joints that are mostly meant for takeout. If you do opt to eat in, there are 3 sets of booth tables available along with several seats set to the side if you really want to push the capacity and have someone sit at the open face of the table. I made a large order here and had my fingers crossed that at least half of it would taste ok. Pu Pu Platter(2) ; this is a lot of food. But it's also $31. Worth it? Egg rolls, chicken fingers, chicken wings, beef teriyaki skewers, fried shrimp, and boneless spareribs. I found all of the food unremarkable. I don't mean that as a dig or a complaint - it literally tastes so similar to many places, especially like China Wonder in Fitchburg. Peking Garden definitely has the win on Crab Rangoons, but China Wonder wins on Beef Teriyaki. Some people told me the boneless spare ribs were amazing, but I didn't have that reaction. Overall, an adequate choice. Coconut Shrimp ; I am a fiend for coconut shrimp and it's funny that every place does it very differently. This one has coconut shavings on top and a very thin sauce almost like they just poured in coconut milk and called it a day. The taste is.. tolerable, but man the batter on the shrimp was NOT it. Thickly coated and the inner batter contacting the shrimp was not cooked all the way. Unpleasant texture from the batter and bizarre taste from the sauce; I scraped off all of the batter after a few pieces and just forced myself to finish the dish. Not recommended. Crispy Orange Chicken ; this was the only standout of my order. the batter on the chicken actually managed to be a little crispy which is rare for this dish genre. the taste was on point - sauce was not nauseatingly sweet or overpowering, and nothing was annoyingly soggy. this dish is definitely worth trying if you're craving for a typical General Gao's/Tso/orange chicken dish. Man, I am 0 for 3 with Leominster Chinese food. I think I will keep my money in Fitchburg since China Wonder and Gold Bowl have never done me dirty like this.

Inside, it's very cozy and has that Chinese cafe feel. It's clean, and they also have outdoor seating. My favorite are the individual window seats. I like sitting there and people-watching, though it's not exactly the busiest area for people-watching. Soup dumplings? Yes, please. The skin is slightly thicker than the ones I've had in New York, though they're still great. I never just order one thing here. They have a lot of variety with Chinese appetizers, dumplings, noodles, rice, and even mala hot pot. Do not pass up the braised pork rice bowl if you like hearty, authentic Asian dishes. I keep forgetting this place is here until the weather gets colder or I'm craving dumplings. Overall Service: Always so nice. There was one time I was on-call while dining here and got paged, and they helped box everything up for me to take home. I really appreciated that. Definitely a place I'm glad to have in the area.

But today's experience was sub par to what we are used to. I didn't leave the establishment because I was with others who wanted to enjoy the food. The first issue was we couldn't seat where we wanted, it had to be where the waitress or manager decided we were to seat. Not one client in the restaurant. Then she brought the bill before we requested no one was waiting to be seated, then refused to split the bill when previous times with a different server was not a problem. We split the bill to only 2 because thats all she could do, me paying for 4 people she denies my tip amount and says if I don't tip a 18% , theywill charge me $80 extra for a party of 6, again we were only 4 people. I am very disappointed with my service and treatment, unfortunately I don't know the server name but she is one that speaks more English. Will I go back and be bullied into tipping what they want? Probably no.
