Came in shortly after they reopened. Not sure why they were closed for 2 months according to the bartender. Only person working on a Saturday night. We ordered pizzas and drinks. The pizzas weren't as good as the last several times we had been there. The drinks were weak. One of our party ordered and beer on tap and the bartender asked if he was sure that's what he wanted. He became violently ill as we were leaving. Thinking the taps didn't get cleaned after the reopening. Makes sense why the bartender asked if he was sure he wanted tap beer. This used to be our go to spot. I left my card there one night and without warning they closed down for a week. I heard they didn't even inform their bar manager when they reopened so she "quit". if i could give a zero stars, trust me i would. decided to give this place a try, was rejected for the vertical id. fair. i proceed to go home and grab my passport. we walked back up to the bar to the most unwelcoming looks from both of the female bartenders (big lips brunette/red hair & blonde). lips begins to tell us (rudely) that they "cannot" serve us due to "last call". this is reasonable. I wish I could give this place zero stars. I recently visited with a small group of girlfriends and saying I was extremely disappointed and disgusted is an UNDERSTATEMENT. First off, the staff (2 female bartenders) were incredibly rude and inattentive, not to mention it looked like I was in a real life episode of botched. It took forever to get anyone's attention, and when they finally acknowledged us, they acted like they were doing us a favor by speaking to us. The bartender with dark black/red hair and boobs that I could pop with a needle explained to a girlfriend of mine they did not except vertical IDs which I 100% understand, she then proceeded to give them her passport in which she told us it was past last call and she could not serve us, again which I 100% understood, but THEN she went on to serve everyone else in this bar besides us. My friends and I were excited to have a fun night out, but this bar completely ruined our evening. The bartenders seemed more interested in flaunting their fake boobs and lips than actually doing their jobs, I completely understand feeling insecure and I would have graciously given them a generous tip to help pay for more plastic surgery if they just had been nice :))) Save your time and money, there are plenty of other places with friendly staff and MUCH better service. read more

We bought the $5 Yelp voucher for $10 credit and our bartender gave us $5 credit instead of $10. We had her redo our check once to account for the $10 credit and it was still wrong. We gave up after that. The food is not worth it if you are looking food. The menu showed pizza and sandwiches, but all they really had was pizza (& no parmesan). The pizza is truly an overpriced yeasty piece of flat bread sprinkles with cheese (think a step up from Totino's frozen microwave pizza), perfect for someone who has been drinking too much and needs a little something to help with the alcohol. However, if you want a dive bar to go to and chat with friends, maybe play some pool, then I am sure this fits the bill! Its a bar. On Main Street of a small town... Just this side of the train tracks. Sounds a little Cliche' when you say that, now doesnt it? I dont know what people are expecting when they go into this place... it is what it is. A small town bar with lots of regulars and not a lot of patience for newcomers, or people who only stop by now and again. I agree with some of the things other reviewers have mentioned, both good things and bad. I have personally been treated poorly by staff and customers alike, but I figure its kind of to be expected at a place like this. Yes, I have witnessed fights, and plain old arguments... and been subjected to someone wanting to "kick my ass" for "pretending not to know her husband who says he went to school with me", although her husband was around 24 at the time and I was 36. A bit too many years to have crossed paths, I would think. I have also had a great time here on a few occasions. The music is usually good, the karaoke (if they still do it) was always fun to watch. The jello shots are made perfectly (not too wet and gooshy, but not like rocks, either). They have a fairly good selection of whiskeys, which is important. :) I think its a standard small town kind of place, really... if you are expecting more I would suggest you head elsewhere for your night out. read more

Wow, wow, wow, wow, WOW! It's been 24 hours since I walked into that bar and I'm still trying to wrap my head around what happened. It's 11 pm and my friend and I decide to grab a quick drink before we head out of town in search for more options. This place is the only one open down Main Street at this hour and I'm assuming that is the only reason they are still in business. We walk in all smiles and good mood and walk up to the bar that no one is sitting at. It's our first time here and we know this place isn't fancy. We're not expecting much and we're okay with that. We also know this is probably the spot where regulars hang out and it's their domain so we walk up and greet the two bartenders warmly. "Hi!" Bartender Blondie just stares at us. Bartender Beard replies "you need to move". Um, what? Bartender Beard tells us that someone is sitting there and points to where we're standing at the bar. With confusion on our faces we look up and down the length of the bar that no one is sitting at. I shuffle slightly to the left as my friend perches on a bar stool. I decide to brush off the rudeness. "We'll just order our drinks and step away" I tell Bartenders Blondie and Beard as I give them a smile. Blondie just continues glaring so I look to Beard. And then this is the part I'm trying to reconcile with. Bart Beard replies with: "Actually how about I just get you a glass of water. You look like you've had enough tonight so the only thing you'll be getting here is water." All five foot 6 inches of him straightens out, puffs out his chest, thrusts out his beard, and looks at me with a challenging glint in his eye. I immediately recognize what is going on here. Bart Beard is the big man in charge here. He will rule over his 400 square feet of cracked linoleum, dusty walls, and greasy tabletops with an iron fist and dare anyone come in there asking for a drink who happens to have a full set of teeth, speak in complete sentences, and isn't dressed in sweat-stained coveralls. And that is the long and short of it. We said okay and walked out of that place never to return again. Unless you are a "regular" that fits the description noted above, don't expect to come in here and get a cold one and a smile. Actually, don't expect to be served at all. read more

I was a regular at this place for 4 years. It was always a little rough around the edges (I mean it's Battle Ground- let's be real here folks ha) but I still had love for it. This place always had love for me too, they knew how to make their drinks, always took care of me, and I met a lot of good people here. The pizza was bomb, and the place put on some fun comedy nights, karaoke nights, etc. I always loved all the bartenders- and I was always taken care of, and had no worries here. I came here all the time-- That is until Kim Combs got hired, and slept with my now ex fiancé. With the time and money I dropped here, That was a pretty big slap in the face considering she was well aware we were engaged. I won't step foot in that place again due to the lack of character and integrity of the new hire. I literally sat in front of this chicks face for hours talking about wedding planning with my ex...for months. That's uh pretty low to say the least. So yeah. This place has its moments. The prices are good and Elliot that works there is a riot! They play good music too. If you dont get there by 7pm then good luck finding a open pool table. I have noticed that some of what appears to be " regulars " there can be pretty rude at times. I'm a dive-bar lover and this is a good one for sure. I didn't eat but Brian is a cool, friendly dude with a good sense of humor. I totally respect that most good dive bars are mostly the "locals'" watering hole but that's what makes them so fun! My wife and I almost always have a great time chatting up the locals and after a short visit beforw my son's away football game here today, I'm going to make the 1 hour drive from Beaverton to bring her here! I was immediately acknowledged and greeted by Brian who was busy with other customers and told he be right with me. A minute later he pops down to me chillin at the bar and asks "what sounds good?" I get an ice cold bottle of Coors light and shot of whiskey. If you are looking for a place with a warm atmosphere where everyone is welcome and you can be yourself, look no further. Main Street Bar is a great place to stop by after a hard days work or to meet up with a group of friends for a cold beer or a well poured mixed drink. I highly recommend coming in on a Tuesday evening for their $2.00 PBR's or $2.00 Rolling Rocks, as well as their $2.00 personal pizzas. The beers are always ice cold and the pizzas are tasty and very high quality for "bar food". I can't say enough to the level of service we receive on a regular basis when we come in. We were just in last night with a group of 15 people. The place was pretty busy for a Tuesday night because of their special. Alyson was cooking the pizzas. Not only were they extremely tasty, but she was able to keep up with our massive order while balancing the orders from the rest of their patrons. She always had a great attitude despite how hot it must have been back in that kitchen slaving over a hot pizza oven while the outside temperature was near 100 degrees. All the pizzas came out in a timely fashion and were cooked to perfection. Kim did an amazing job keeping up on our drinks from behind the bar while also dealing with the thirsty crowd of people eager to have their drinks refilled. Overall it was a wonderful experience, great food, great music, great company, and above all else, great service. We will definitely be returning on a regular basis and intend on making Tuesday nights a weekly event for our group. So as a fellow business owner myself I try and stay away from writing reviews. But after tonight I cannot simply sit here and not to write a review on this place. After working so far a 55+ hour work week I simply wanted to go in there and get a pizza and a beer before I go home and go to sleep to wake up bright and early to work. As I try to order a beer bartender lady says that I am cut off, now I do not get how you get cut off before having a beer, so I politely request a water. After finishing my water roughly 20 to 25 minutes later I try to get another beer and she proceeds to get pissed off at me and says if I continue to want to argue with her I can leave the bar.......... Now I don't know about you but when it comes to running a business I will do anything and everything to make my customers happy with in the law allowing it... Tonight proved to me that there are some owners of some businesses that hire employees that do not present the Face of the business as it should be. read more

One of the bartenders is nice and funny I think his name is Justin. The other main guy that's there at night usually with a hat and has a beard is so rude. They were out of a ton of ingredients the first time we went there and they offered us one bag of corn nuts. We asked for another bag since we order more than one item and the rude bartender's response was "I can't give the house away". I would happily buy this bar for the 50 cents a small bag of corn nuts is worth just to fire him and get more customer service oriented employees. My boyfriend always makes me sit where we can see the food prep area and not once have they washed their hands and eat over the cutting board. Ps we have not ordered food since.
