Can't recommend this restaurant enough! There wasn't a menu item we tried that we didn't like. And the menu was filled with options that we can't wait to go back for. I had the lobster roll and my wife had the short rib. The desert was delicious, butter cake and fudge brownie. The drinks were very well done, Basil Sprout and Old Fashioned. Our server, Addi, was fantastic as well. We sat on the outside patio which was lined by flowers. The inside seating also looked great, we can't wait to go back.

We loved our dinner at The Foundry. The service was excellent and the food was just as great. We came hungry and tried many items on the menu. The standouts to me were the hot honey wings, the pork chop, the Parmesan fries, and the basil spritz!! Desserts were "worth it" too. We will be back!

This would get at 10 out of five if it were possible! The place itself was a beautiful older building downtown Franklin. Perfectly lit for the mood. Service was beyond outstanding with Alex as our bartender and educator on her expertise of mixology. We had two appetizers, the ricottas and honey as well as the zucchini fries both were out of this world amazing. The owner even took time out of his busy night to speak to us. Cannot wait to come back and try more new dishes on the menu.

Second time back. Was not disappointed. Steak was one of the best I've had. Valentine's Day special with appetizer and dessert. On point. Well done chef!

Amazing! Gracie was a great server, very attentive and seemed to know a lot about the menu. The owner actually came over and introduced himself which was very nice, the spinach and artichoke appetizer was great and the rigatoni entrees was great too! The ambiance is slightly upscale and moody. Overall great experience!

New restaurant in Franklin that is located in the old Jefferson St Pub. I really enjoy the atmosphere and the food. Since this is new to the area, it is really busy so make sure you have reservations or arrive early and sit at bar. I have tried the meatball appetizer, the chips and dip, chili, and the chicken sandwich. All were excellent and there was plenty for sharing. The chili was unique as it is served with a waffle, which pairs perfectly with the chili. The meatballs were really tasty and were more than enough as a had as my meal. I loved the chips but the dip was not my favourite, not much flavor, somewhat bland. Loved the chicken sandwich!

I had a very well balanced Aviation, and took sips of my friends' brambles and old fashioneds. Perfect pre-meal sippers all around. We ordered the gamut, from the pickled beets to the pub burgers. Pretty much everything from the middle "shared plate and veggie" section. My wife and I split a super rich and tasty lamb bolognese. Again, the star of the show was the service and welcoming environment. It's just nice that they also performed on a stage of superbly prepared edibles. Would go again with a big group and maybe get a sitter so we're not leaving a trail of american cheese bits leaving an extra large tip to offset the accidental middle American Hansel and Gretel vibe.

My crab cake bruschetta was delicious - the dots of lemon curd were a perfect accompaniment and the crab meat generously portioned. No leftovers this time, I ate it all, and it was perfectly portioned. Reservations recommended. Five stars from all of us!

ONE OF MY NEW FAVORITES FOR AMERICAN FOOD NEAR MASS AVE…read more Union 50 came in clutch when my friends and I were looking for a last minute dinner reservation. Called at 6 and got a reservation for 8, for 5 of us on a Saturday night. This is kind of an anomaly for any restaurants off Mass Ave. We were seated right away and started with drinks and apps. We got "Disco Boys" and "I'm too pretty for this" cocktails which were tasty - kudos for the fun cocktail names. Calamari, Artisan, and Charcuterie came shortly after. There's a few different options of cheeses and meats, it's sort of a choose your own adventure situation. All were good, especially the calamari. A lot of restaurants tend to overcook it and the calamari gets rubbery, not the case here. Our entrees came out next and I made sure to try a bite of everyone's LOL. The standout of all the entrees was definitely the "Duck, duck" which was, obviously, duck. The runner up would definitely have to be the chicken cacciatore. Overall, really great ambiance, food, and service. I would highly recommend Union 50 if you're looking for something fancy, but not too fancy. If you're a Cunningham member, don't forget to give your phone # to the server to look up your account. Will definitely be back soon!

We shared the petit charcuterie, lamb meatballs, kimchi meatloaf, and the duck duck. Everything was amazing, I don't think you can go wrong with what you choose. We finished off with the house made chocolates, which was just the right amount of sweetness to end a wonderful meal. Highly recommend!

I wonder what other stuffings were in the dumplings. I greatly enjoyed the veggie Asian slaw of carrots, red peppers, chives, etc. under the dumplings. Ponzu sauce has a good taste. I'm huge on seeing photos before I order (hence me being a YELPer) so I loved the photos on the website. The hostess and our server were friendly. It took a big before the server came over, but the hostess did warn us that he did just have another table seated before us. The beer drinkers in our party enjoyed their beers. We started out with two apps... cheese curds and pretzel bites. When they came to the table, neither looked like they do on the website. On the website the pretzels looked a bit better than something you'd get in a mall, and they stated they came with cheese and mustard. In real time they only had cheese. The cheese curds also looked completely different and were smaller portions than shown online. For our meals we had a burger, a chicken sandwich, and I had the southwest salad. There seemed to be a little miscommunication with our waiter about the dressing for my salad, and that resulted in my salad missing some ingredients but he resolved it. But also of note, the menu listed a "avocado lime vinagrette" and the salad came with a guac that just looked like it was maybe left in the blender a second longer than it should have been. The burger was huge. We all agreed the food was "good" but we wouldn't add it to our list of must haves next time we are in town. The disappointment more came from things that hyped us up on the menu online and in store and then weren't actually the same. :(

The BBQ poutine fries were so big on the tray that I felt a little ostentatious as I was carrying the tray back to my table. It felt like all of the food on my tray surely should have been going to a family. But no: All of these BBQ poutine fries were just for one gluttonous person (me). Every so often, I would get an enormous fry that was way bigger than the others. It was more like a steak fry! It was like a little baked potato. It was nice to have that variety in the appetizer (which I was treating like an entree because, again, I was eating this giant appetizer by myself without shame). One of my children opted to get the kids meal here, which is the mac & cheese with a side (he chose fries). The mac & cheese is cavatappi pasta, so it's that pleasing curly texture that kids love (my kid loved it). My husband and I both ordered the BLT and while it was good, it wasn't special- the Roma tomato were small coin-sized slices and the romaine lettuce was the yellow, small inside pieces. I thought this sandwich would be a lot better with a thick sweet tomato slice and leafy green lettuce. For some reason, the fries and breakfast potatoes were taking a long time to come out of the kitchen. Our server apologized, but they came out after the rest of the meal and I overheard a server telling the next table it would be at least 30 mins for another order to come out. When they came out, they were cold. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing (the breakfast plate that the folks next to us had looked good) but I left a bit disappointed in my meal.
