Fast service and really good pizza. Have driven past this often and never stopped in.

I couple days ago I went to Main Street pizza in star prairie Wisconsin. It's disgusting! When I went to the establishment was terrible. The employees looked tired and depressed, I'm pretty sure they were serving food on dirty plates, and there was multiple flys! I hate to be a "Karen" as people say now but when I worked in fast food back in the 80s and 90s it was 100x cleaner and more sanitary. If you want a clean place to eat DO NOT go to this establishment! read more

Excellent pizza - easily rivals or equal to any stuck-up pizza joint in the Twin Cities - 5 stars! What a gem! Main Street Pizza is in the little town of Star Prairie, a short 5 minute drive north of Highway 64 and New Richmond. It's an unassuming little place that looks like it used to be a family home at some point in the past. The shop is family owned & operated - laid back, casual, no frills - it's all about the pizza. They have soda in cans and beer in bottles. You can grab some ice cream too. I tried 4 different pies: Pickle, Mediterranean, Big Deluxe, Sausage Pepperoni. They were all fantastic! I'd come here any time instead of an uber expensive place in the cities like Young Joni. (It's also a LOT cheaper.) I have to comment on the cheese. It's incredible. I don't think I've experienced this type of cheese - ever - at any pizza shop in Minnesota. And some of the pies have more than one variety of cheese. Wow! I guess I should expect excellent dairy in Wisconsin. I tried the Way Gouda Bites too, macaroni nuggets filled with gouda cheese. Despite being a snowy winter day, I topped things off with some frozen Churro Custard. BTW, the customer service was great, friendly and attentive. I'd go back again any time. Ordered a large Big deluxe with black olives instead of green olives for pick up. We received a large cheese pizza with just black olives. Called the store to discuss the issue and was told they needed to contact the owner and would get back to me. I needed to call the store back several times and was informed that they had not been able to contact the owner yet, since they did not have the authority to remedy the situation. All I wanted was a big deluxe pizza with black olives. I called the store several times and was told if I wanted a replacement pizza it was going to take over an hour and a half. Not acceptable. I drive here all the time from Fridley, which is quite a drive, because they simply have the BEST pizza. And it is definitely worth the drive! My favorite pizza is not on the menu, but is a special pizza that they make as a fundraiser for the owner's mom. Pickle Pizza! It's my favorite pizza anywhere. They use alfredo sauce, dill, and pickles. (and I think that's all!) It's absolutely perfect. Yesterday, we drove out to Star Prairie to get not only a pickle pizza, but also an elote pizza! They had a special elote pizza to celebrate cinco de mayo. So, that was my mother's day present! I don't have any idea how they made it, but it really tastes perfect. Just like eating elote in pizza form! Now, I'm not sure which is my favorite, pickle pizza or elote pizza. What I do know is that I would eat either of them any day of the week. The sign out front currently proclaims "Goodest Pizzaaa Ever" and they might be right about that! We've been going here for a couple of years now and it's worth the trip for some good pizza in a friendly small town, right on Main Street. It's a small and pleasant place. There are a few tables if you'd prefer to dine in (minus right now during the coronavirus falderall, of course). What started out as a fundraiser for the owner's mother, the Pickle Pizza, has become a staple for us. It's a pizza with pickles, a white sauce (which I normally wouldn't like) and dill. It's really good once you give it time to cool a bit and solidify into place. We went yesterday to try the new special, the Elote's Mexican Street Corn Pizza, minus the sausage, and they did a great job of recreating the flavor of elote (if you're not familiar with elote, it's street corn on the cob, covered in butter, mayo, chili powder seasoning). Their pizza version of this is quite mild, but still very tasty. They've been nice to us and are pleasant during the Covid pandemic as well, which I appreciate. We've been back and will be back. It's one of our favorites. read more

First off, I would say I always enjoy eating at local pizzerias instead of chain restaurants so there's that. I ordered a pizza early in the store's hours, so I probably had the first pizza out of the oven, and I was able to pick it up just as it came out of the oven (or so they told me). The folks working there seemed nice. And that ain't nothing. But onto the pizza... First reaction was that it was not cut all the way through. That's a small thing to fix and I hope they do, because you shouldn't have to rip your pizza apart. Second reaction was that the crust was thin and kind of soggy. That might be because of how much sauce it had (I like a good amount of sauce, so no complaints on my part there) but...A thin crust pizza just has to have a crispy crust, so that is something to work on. Lastly the pizza DID taste good. I wish it had more sausage and pepperoni and mushrooms. (It seemed a tad skimpy on topping.). But what was there was good tasting. All in all, I don't think I would drive out of my way to go here, but if I find myself in the area again I might give it another go, hoping they'll crisp up those crusts and get a sharper pizza cutter. So... support your local restaurants! read more

Pizza is great! Unfortunately the issues I have are all service related. There is still a pandemic going on and the governor's mask mandate was extended but not a single employee was wearing a mask. Had to try to call in my order multiple times over 10 minutes before someone answered the phone. Granted, this was on a Friday night so it was probably busy so maybe they need to purchase additional phone lines or something. They really do have good pizza though. read more

Rick and the Pizza Princess do a great job. It takes a while for delivery sometimes when they busy but it's worth the wait. Sandwiches are really good too. Sometimes you need a break from bar food which is all Star Prairie has to offer otherwise. read more

Best pizza in this area. The chicken cordon Bleu is sooooooo good. Some nights (Tuesdays? ) they have specials where you can buy a specialty pizza and the second is like half off or so. Pizza is always excellent, communication is lacking sometimes. I've had probably 3 occasions where my pizza was wrong. Also I'm not sure if they can do a thinner crust but I would like that better, I'll try asking next time. Smells amazing when you walk in this place. My husband and I stopped into Main Street Pizza on Saturday afternoon. The staff and owner were very welcoming and friendly. We decided we wanted to try a couple of different small pizzas. We knew we wanted to try The Irish, and we were considering the Meatball Pizza. The staff recommended that we try the Ultimate Meaty instead. Great advice! Both pizzas were baked to perfection. The Irish was loaded with corned beef and sauerkraut, and the Swiss cheese they use is very flavorful, but what really makes that pizza outstanding is the special "Irish sauce." All of the flavors together were extraordinary. I can see where this pizza is, as the owner said, a love it or hate it pizza - the flavors are very bold and unique - we loved it! As for the Ultimate Meaty, it lived up to its billing. It was loaded with Canadian bacon, sausage, beef, pepperoni, and bacon. The pepperoni and bacon were on top, so they were nice and crispy. The red sauce they use has the perfect blend of herbs and spices. As if this wasn't enough, their house-made pizza dough has the perfect balance of crisp on the edges and fluffy but slightly chewy crust to hold up to the heavy load of toppings. As if this wasn't enough, we were given a cup of melted garlic butter to dip the crusts in. Fantastic! We're looking forward to our next trip through Star Prairie, where we will stop into a little unassuming white house with green trim on Main Street for some of the best pizza we've ever eaten. read more

Great pizza, bad service. Called tonight got put on hold for 5 minutes, called crappy Domino's instead. Delivery usually takes an hour or more. I would order more often but it's a pain in the ass to get through and pick up every time. read more

Our family ordered four club sandwiches one hot sandwich and two wraps. It has been over an hour and still don't have our food. Our kids are loosing it. Not sure what is happening.
